• Sonia (7/5): Ideal for Reps for an overnighter - The property is located very well amidst vineyards in a good area. More privacy. Rooms are adjacent to each other in a kind of house set up. You can hear every word your neighbours say. Furnishings have been upcycled perhaps more than once. Parking is also extremely tight, especially for big vehicles.

And a lady was ready to assist she made us feel welcome and helped us get in and settled as soon as possible, great service and Hospitality throughout our stay. We will definitely be going back.

The owner and team were helpful and friendly, rooms had all amenities needed, and the location was perfect. It has a suburban feel, but is a pleasant and safe ten minute walk from the excellent Noop restaurant, with vineyards just down the road.

The staff are always great; helpful and accommodating, and the environment quiet and pleasant. It was a very rainy day. The patio, even though under cover, was waterlogged. I missed a door mat for wet feet inside the room.

If I have to stay in Paarl again this will always be my 1st choice. Thank you Chantal & Charmaine. The only thing I didn't like, was to leave, but De Wingerd Wijnland Lodge will definitely see me again

The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a super breakfast before departing in the morning. Would highly recommend staying at De Wingerd Wijnland Lodge!

No microwave to warm your food. I've been to many Bed and Breakfast accommodation and all of them had a braai area which could be used by guests.

The hostess was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was beyond expectations. Sorry that it was only for one night. We would definitely stay again and recommend it highly. Closing the doors was very noisy even though we tried to be quiet. Hopefully we didn’t disturb anyone.

The room was clean, neat, and had a beautiful view over the pool. We had everything we needed, for a fraction of the price of other fancier places. I highly recommend this place. It’s absolutely perfect in every way. Also of note, is the staff. Very helpful and friendly.

• stuarta11342022 (4/5): Misleading description as not serving breakfast - Despite the lovely photos and breakfast include charge they are not serving breakfast nor giving refunds. The manager was elusive so dealings were with the charming housekeeper. We booked through Hotels.com and DWWL does not respond to their emails. Lovely location and setting spoilt by the lack of service and non deliver of what we paid for. Coffee and croissants or Rand/voucher to use at a local cafe would have sufficed.
• Stuart (2/5): Breakfast (included in room cost) not provided - Beware - The lodge is not serving its inclusive breakfast and doesn't compensate for its absence. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient.
• andrewpH2507YT (6/5): Lovely setting, clean rooms but shocking management - Booked to stay for the night of a wedding in Paarl in 2020. Postponed twice because of Covid. While the rooms and house are clean and the property is situated in a beautiful part of Paarl, overlooking Grande Roche, the management of the lodge leaves a lot to be desired. The landline is NEVER answered. Emails are ignored 9 out of 10 times. The mobile number was not answered for 6 months. In desperation I had to drive from Bellville to Paarl to ensure the lodge actually existed. Despite our booking bed and breakfast in 2020, we were never once told that breakfast was no longer included until we arrived at the lodge yesterday! The website clearly states that it is a bed and breakfast establishment but they haven’t updated their website after two years! Really? There must be better places to stay in Paarl. Avoid unless you prepared to put up with the frustration of unanswered correspondence,
