From the moment I arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. The accommodations were comfortable and perfect for my intended purpose. The guest house had everything I needed, and I couldn't have asked for a neater space. The location is absolutely beautiful, adding to the overall charm of my stay. If you're looking for a cozy place to stay in Knysna/Sedgefield, I highly recommend Pelican Lodge. It’s an excellent choice whether you’re traveling for work or leisure.

Very clean, everything worked and the pool was a great bonus after a windy beach day The wasn’t a security gate for our ground floor room, this is the only small thing that would have been nice, as then we could have slept with the door open at night. But it’s not a major inconvenience at all, just a possible nice to have.

The rooms are stunning, the beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, I like the fact that streaming services are included and the breakfast was perfect. Added benefit to me was the keyboard with headphones! :) Pelican Lodge is now my number 1 accommodation in Sedgefield and I will always stay here when I am travelling for work.
Tony (10/5): A place you'll love long after you left - I absolutely LOVED staying at Pelican Lodge. The well equiped rooms look onto a beautiful garden. Each room has a small covered terrace decorated with plants and flowers. The place is tranquil, quiet, and peaceful. Ideal venue to relax and recharge yourself. Room, kitchen, and bathroom beautifully done. Well equiped with modern stylish equipment. Best of all - the staff at this venue are such wonderful and friendly people. They love chatting to you and have lots of time to talk to you. The woman serving breakfast is the friendliest person l know! And her breakfasts are so good! This is absolutely one of the nicest places l have stayed!!

What a treasure in the heart of the Garden Route. This guest house remembered gadgets & goodies, that we forgot to forget. True story! They think of everything that can possibily make your stay comfortable, professional and convenient. The breakfasts are am-a-zing, and the level of comfort was next level. We also loved that they share events in the area, and made lots of suggestions to make our stay in Sedgefield interesting. Thank you for being a 'home away from home'. We'll be back. Nothing

Jacqueline (9/5): A cut above the rest - Look no further for a great place to stay in Sedgefield! Hands down the best guesthouse I've found in a long time. My room was so thoughtfully appointed, with everything needed for a comfy stay. Stylish too! A rarity was the good sized and private covered patio, with a pretty view and seating options that made it usable day and night. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, putting great care into this peaceful little haven. They've successfully raised the bar in Sedgefield😋 Although there was off street parking, it was not secured overnight.
Preston (10/5): Love Cleopatra, and had great chats with the owners. Will definitely come and visit again. - Breakfast very good with great options! Garden really inspiring and calming to look at and parking inside property close to room very practical and easy to load luggage and shopping. Mattress was a bit lumpy and I personally do not like the "heavier blanket" that was on the bed, but I still slept very well and enjoyed the quietness of the area.

Chris (8/5): Very good - The host was very friendly and helpful, the room small but comfortable with a nice patio onto the garden. The breakfast was excellent. We travelled in March which is peak ant season in the region. It was annoying to find some snacks covered in ants in the morning. A warning would have avoided this. No kettle in the room as the establishment is solar powered. Hot water is provided in a flask but in our case was cold by morning. The explanation being that the system can't handle six kettles at the same time, This is a strange explanation as the rooms all have air-conditioning which can run 24/7 at the same time. There are better ways to manage this.

Rooms are well equipped with back-up power, aircon and ceiling fans We stayed in room 5 and it’s tiny no place to open your suitcase but on the bed. Shower should have a curtain to prevent toilet area getting wet.

Mauro (10/5): Short for words actually: absolutely wonderful! - The Guesthouse host Cleo, is an exceptional host, and a lovely person altogether. She really makes you feel at home and is ready to cater for any and all your needs. The Guesthouse room we had was impeccable. Hot water for self catering coffee/tea always available, bottled drinking water also. The room was promptly made up for us and cleaned spotlessly every morning while we had breakfast. Breakfast was superb: we opted for delicious fresh fruit-salad, yoghurt, muesli and a cup of freshly brewed coffee (even cappuccino if you like!), but the full English treatment was also avaliable. All in all we were really super happy with the accommodation offered by Pelican Guesthouse, and when in Sedgefield again we will definitely go back there! Thankyou Cleo, thankyou Pelican Guesthouse!
