L'ensemble du personnel est très sympathique principalement votre stagiaire HAWA qui transmet sa joie de vivre. Son sourire est un rayon de soleil. Elle mérite de réussir dans sa vie. Nous avons du réclamer chaque jour une deuxième serviette pour la salle de bain alors que nous étions 2 personnes.

Le personnel est très professionnel et accueillant en particulier HAWA à la réception qui nous a très bien accueilli et qui nous a été d'une grande aide. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très bien et varié. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres et les lits très confortables. L'hotel est très bien situé. Rien, tout était très bien.

- robert (10/5): Great stay in Nouakchott - On arrival excellent airport pickup. Quick and efficient check in. Breakfast varied. Pool area very nice with lots of seating. My wife was very happy that she could use the pool any time. Location also very good. Perhaps they could have topped up the fruit at breakfast for later arrivals.

They agreed to adjust that with late check out and then asked us to vacate room a few hours before we were to leave for airport just to be spiteful. Buffer breakfast was poor. Lots of sweet treats and bread but mostly stale from being served again and again.

Mention spéciale à Hawa à l’accueil : elle ne fait pas que recevoir les clients, elle crée une vraie première impression chaleureuse et rassurante. Petit point d’amélioration : au moment du check-in, surtout aux heures tardives, le service pourrait être un peu plus rapide pour rendre l’arrivée encore plus confortable après un long voyage.

Reception helped to organize an excellent city tour -Breakfast was very good -All facilities including swimming pool were very clean, no mean feat in the dust and sand of the city! -Room was a bit small, but not so small that it would have been uncomfortable.

The hotel is well located and, although it doesn’t look like much from the outside, once you step in, you’re pleasantly surprised. The outdoor area is lovely, with nice spots to relax by the pool. The food is generally good, and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Overall, a great stay and excellent value for the experience.

Facilities, people, food, service, cleanliness everythinghas been top notch. Il definitely come back here and would highly recommend. Also just to add on the location is excellent right in the city center so going around the town is very easy as well.

- Wanderlust_SAB (6/5): Customer service disappearing - Old dated amenities, which typically were made up for by the great service. However, this time service was sub par particularly by the reception who mismanaged completely the handling of my airport transfer and left me to my own devices to organise my Friday evening transfer without offering the usual hospitality that I had become accustomed to with this property. That, even though I had informed earlier that day that I would require a transfer. Beyond that, the hotel is looking and feeling old and unkept. I will be booking another hotel for my future trips to Nouakchott.
- Fernando_Delgado (2/5): Worst hotel in a very long time - I went to Azalai hotel in Nouakchott after a recent experience in another hotel in the city which was fine but for a lousy service. Work colleagues recommended Azalai despite its more modest premises because they had very good experiences with service and staff before. What a disappointment! I have been traveling for work and pleasure to ver half the countries in the world, including a few in Africa. I can't remember anything worse than Azalai other than very cheap hotels in the middle of the Central American jungle or in Cuzco, in the top of the Andean mountains. I couldn't expect something like this from a multi-star hotel (with good reviews!) in the capital city of Mauritania. To start with, the hotel does not have an elevator (!!!), stairs are unequal and worn down, toilets in the conference venue were broken (literally: the ceramics were broken!), no toilet paper, wet floor (don't ask which type of liquid); drainage system doesn't work: when it rains water in the patio (which you have to cross to get from the conference meeting rooms to the rooms) reaches above ankle level; food was a complete disaster: low variety (other than omelets, everything in the breakfast buffet is full of carbs); water condensation drips from the AC conducts in the roof, so you may be sitting in the restaurant and it starts "raining on you, I had the worse filet for dinner in my life: a piece of meat which was 75% fat, with a broken plastic-handled knife which was broken and, when I asked to be replace, they brought it back again!. The examples are so many that I would need hours to write this review. Just a couple more: I asked for a coffee spoon (no were to be seen in buffet luncheons) and the staff at the restaurant counter found just one dirty one sitting in a corner. He threw (literally: threw) the spoon to the two staff ladies in the bar. The spoon landed in the floor. One of the ladies picked it up and put it under the faucet. No soap. Handled it back to the staff in the counter (this time no throwing), who just dried it with a napkin and handled back to me. Obviously, I ate the pudding with a fork. A colleague who frequently complained about the quality and diversity of the food being served, and many other aspects of the service, was mocked by the staff when they though we were not watching. Upon checkout, most our checks were wrong, containing one more night that we had spent in the hotel. Well... I think this is enough for now. Perhaps I should add a couple of good things: the room (got a suite), while worn down (drawer handle unglued, door frame almost fall), were acceptable and the hotel was reasonably clean. Now, all the fruit in the welcome basket was almost roten... but don't want to start again. Certainly, I will NOT be back in Azalai if I can avoid it.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié la piscine qui est de bonne taille pour faire des longueurs et d'une température agréable Le prix est quand même assez élevé par rapport aux prestations assez basiques. Le matelas dans la chambre que j'avais n'était pas confortable, mais c'est difficile d'avoir une literie consensuelle au vue des besoins différents des clients. Je suis certaine que d'autres le trouve excellent

Dinner was ok. The chicken carbonara was just ok. The breakfast buffet offered made to order eggs and a variety of breads and sweet rolls

With regards to the airport shuttle, pick me I was great. There was a driver with a sign waiting at arrivals. For departure from the hotel, the one staff member could not provide me the shuttle timings to arrange for drop off at the airport. I was asked to come down to reception the next morning. I did so and was informed there is only one shuttle in the morning and one in the afternoon. I had less than an hour to shower and pack in order to catch the shuttle. It would be great if the schedule could be posted in the lobby and/or rooms. Thank you

The service needs improvement. I needed my boots cleaned and the hotel could not assist. I went to FASQ where I didn't stay, and the hotel cleaned my boots. I expect better service from a hotel.
