- Craig (8/5): - I was initially very impressed by your staff at reception. Although my room wasnt ready at the specified time, 2pm, I was eventually told I had been upgraded. I dont believe this to be the truth, as on inspection, I found many rooms to be the same. The staff in the dining rooms were very polite, Levy being someone who should be praised for going above and beyond what was expected. A very polite, charming and friendly man. However, sraff aside, I thought the breakfast options were limited and the same every day. I also found out that the rooftop bar and restaurant was not available which was a disappointment to both myself and my partner. Overall, the hotel and sraff were very good, but by asking my opinion, I believe that there could still be improvements. However, it was very nice and I would not hesitate to stay there again. - Tahire Sedef (2/5): Worst hotel with bad unhelpful unfriendly staff - Our recent stay at your hotel was unfortunately one of the worst experiences we’ve had. Despite booking an early check-in and being told rooms were available, we were kept waiting in the lobby for hours. Even after explaining that we had small children with us, we were denied access to our rooms. We had booked four rooms, yet they were all placed in the worst parts of the hotel, with no view, and our family was split across different floors. The front desk staff, especially SOLEIMAN and his supervisor, were extremely unhelpful, unfriendly, and lacked any sense of customer service. Breakfast was a major letdown — not only was the quality poor, but they even tried to deny us breakfast that was included in our booking. Basic bathroom amenities like cotton swabs were also missing, which is unacceptable in any hotel claiming to offer decent service. Even accessing other floors to see our family was made difficult. Staff refused to help us with the elevator using their keycards. The overall attitude of the staff made it clear they had no interest in guest satisfaction. This experience was deeply disappointing. We expected at least basic hospitality, but instead received cold and careless treatment. NEVER GO THERE

We went to other pools/beach clubs during our stay. The beach club that is affiliated with the hotel is a bus ride away and you have to pay and book. When we went to the tours desk the lady was so rude we didn’t bother booking. I was also quite surprised by the front desk.. we were not given any of our gold member rewards. In fact we were told that we didn’t have benefits as we had booked via an outside source and not through the hotel. So that was a bit disappointing. All in all the price and the service were well matched.

All staff is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The only negative thing is that on multiple occasions we were told to go to concierge desk but we have never seen a single person at the concierge desk even though we checked several times a day. The entrance/lobby is pretty small and was always very busy, which makes it a not very relaxing entrance and first impression. The breakfast buffet had a ton of variety and excellent options. Coffee was good, but one or two machines seemed to be non-working about half of the time. We loved the proximity of the hotel to Dubai Marina and the fact that we could walk to most places.

Having access to the Club Lounge was a real bonus too, offering a relaxing space to unwind with complimentary refreshments throughout the day. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and ideally located for exploring the area. Staff were friendly and attentive, always happy to help with any queries or requests. The only downside for us was the pool area – while clean and well-maintained, it's quite small and unfortunately only gets a couple of hours of sunshine each day due to being surrounded by taller buildings. It’s not the spot for a full day of sunbathing, but nice enough for a quick dip. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily return, especially for the comfort of the Club Room and the added touches that made it feel like a real treat.

We wish the property was closer to the metro but knew that when we booked it - just one thing to consider if you want to try and avoid always taking a taxi! - Darren (8/5): Nice hotel with a beautiful beach resort at a cost - A nice hotel if you want to be in the marina as it’s minutes from the water front and around a 20 minute walk to JBR over a flyover. Taxis are very cheap to take anywhere. The food offering was good and you can walk 15 minutes to the nearby Millennium hotel also owned by the same company to use your Half and Full board vouchers. That hotel has a bar style place and a lovely Japanese restaurant where the maki rolls were amazing. At this hotel there’s a buffet restaurant and also a barbecue/bar type place. There’s loads of eateries along the marina walk and it’ll take you a 15 minute walk to get to them and then a total of 30 minutes to get to the Marina Mall. The service at this hotel was great and all staff were polite and helpful. They had access to the Soluna Beach Resort on the Palm, which has a beautiful pool and beach area. This is at a cost of around £20 per person for a lounger on the beach, but you do get £10 in credit to spend there. There’s also a nice shuttle bus that you can get there for free if you book, but a taxi is only around £15. This was lovely but I wished they sold an entire stay package for this as we went here a lot. There’s a lovely restaurant called Énas in Soluna that is also included in the half and full board offering.

However, they really need to get an ice machine on each floor or even the ground floor. Getting ice from the restaurant was a pain (and every time you only receive a tiny cup for 1 drink). Also the 10 dhs charge for bringing wine glasses to the room is so unnecessary and makes it feel like a cheap hotel. I asked for a bottle opener and it took 45 minutes to bring it. Same with food ordered in the restaurant. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

We had opted for a superior room with balcony. Wow, the view was awesome and we were superbly impressed. The balcony was more than adequate for sitting out. Breakfast provided a wide array of options to tantalise the palate. Busy times were very much 9-10am which occupied the lifts. We did have a couple of niggles with the room, but these were rectified almost immediately. I pay tribute to the hotel for their handling of the matter. Location, location, location! Within the marina district, the hotel is well placed and very walkable for those of reasonable fitness. Access to the canal/marina boardwalk is a 5 minute walk, and this gives untolled access to the numerous restaurants and the marina mall. For the architectural aficionados, breathtaking views of the city skyline. A real gem at night. Would I return; absolutely in a blink of an eye. The First Collection Marina is a solid yes for the Dubai visitor.

- Ronni (6/5): Not the best choice in Dubai - We checked in and overall I was very disappointed. I made a remark about this as soon as we arrived! But as we arrived in the night with a small baby, I did not have energy to complain and move to another hotel. The manager Noel called me instantly on the morning of arrival to have a talk. And here he offered to relocate us to another floor where the level should be a little higher than the interior of the first room. It was a bit better - nicer lamps and few details! The manager Noel and in general the staff was super nice, super friendly and super helpsome. Nothing to put on them. But the level of the hotel is absolutely poor and not in a condition where pictures and price match up for what you are getting. I am a frequent traveller going everywhere in the World both for business and pleasure. And honestly I was very disappointed and thought about checking in to another hotel. But we didn't! We stayed and made the best out of it! Again top stars for Noel and his team! Less stars for the Hotel and the condition. Price simply too high for such a hotel! Note that the hotel is straight to the highway. so a lot of high noise from there. Pool not as in the images. It is located on the ground level and not appealing to even go there.
- Ananth (10/5): experience at First Collection Dubai - The stay was awesome and the staff went out of their way for any requirements we had. This is my consecutive 2nd stay in First Collection. I also stayed here in 2023.I will always prefer this hotel due to the friendly staff and hospitality, location and wonderful food
- Lisa (10/5): - When we checked in, we were greeted like family. Everyone we encountered from the front desk, to the restaurants, to the poolside service, and the housekeepers were gracious, friendly, accommodating, and friendly.
- Shabana (10/5): Nice place to stay - our seven days stays at this hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Out stay included breakfast which was amazing. its buffet style, they have multi cuisine and lots of varieties for everyone taste.
- Louise Maria (8/5): - Very very helpfull and serviceminded staff. Big and nice rooms. Pool area could be bigger and would have been nice if it was possible with sun all day. But again you could just go to Soluna or the beach.
- Rayed (8/5): Elevator - Number of elevator less than the hotel's needs, against the big number of rooms served , specially because hotel staff and workers move guests baggage in same elevator even so they have special service elevator and when I complained the answer was the service elevator is far away!

- Chris (10/5): First class all around - The hotel was amazing. The staff were 1st class. We got upgraded to floor 30. Arrived at 10am and they had our room ready . It was my wife’s birthday and they had decorated the room also . Couldn’t find a single fault. When bookin ask for over floor 20 and a marina view ! You won’t be disappointed.

- Tao (4/5): - Bad location. It is far from metro station. It take 15 minutes taxi drive. The taxi take extra 10 minutes drive because one way in front of hotel. Hotel picture show it is on the beach. Actually beach is 10minutes drive with additional charge

They just have a deal with a beach club… very misleading and disappointing tactic to get more bookings..
