The views from our room of were amazing with large birds perched nearby flying and diving, as well as paddle boarders, canoers and fishers.v Hard to find a place to go for a walk near the hotel. The paths below the hotel and across the bridge didn't seem safe for walking through for a quiet stroll along the river.

Blinds on the windows did not keep out the lights at night. Shower head was very high and was at other end of large shower than control making it hard to use. - Robert Connor (9/5): Very nice hotel in Hood River - The room and the overall hotel were very modern and well-kept. Our room was on the river side, so it was nice and quiet. There are rooms on the highway side, which get a lot of traffic noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is not ideal unless you are in Hood River just to access the river for wind sports. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast fare. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It was just edible.

Pool and fabulous temperature, nice and comfortable, same for the hot tub. Great breakfast with plenty of choice, loved the 2 waffle flavours each day plus the evening cookies. Staff were fantastic, a credit to the hotel, so friendly and welcoming, my daughter absolutely loved the little treats at breakfast like the snapband bracelet and squishy ball. For places to eat we loved the Indian food truck and Solstice pizza. Excellent stay.

- Gwyn (4/5): - Location is good to marina and the town of hood River Beds were meh. First floor room was very loud even during quiet hours after 10pm from maintenance, cleaning staff, etc. Evidence of water damage in bathroom, tub faucet finicky, toilet didn’t flush well. Pool area run down

- Elizabeth (10/5): - Very large rooms with great views. They location was just what we wanted. We stayed with our dogs and its a wonderful area for walks. The only issue was the one coin operated washer and dryer was much in demand and did a very bad job cleaning and drying.

- 247elizabethl (10/5): Clean, convenient, and outstanding customer service - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front desk welcomed us and our dog with smiles and dog biscuits. The view from our room--the river-- was fabulous. The hotel was spotless. The reception had a bowl of delicious local cherries. Our brother/sister-in-law enjoyed a well-maintained indoor pool and gym daily. My brother's bed had some problems, but someone came in and fixed it right away--and redeemed his points. The hotel is located a short walk to the river and a short car ride to the town, filled with wonderful restaurants. We'll definitely go back!

- ScubaFP (4/5): Loud and poor customer service - This hotel is right next to the freeway, so we specifically asked for a quiet room opposite of the freeway when we made the reservation. We also called with the same request a couple of days before and on our way to the hotel. However, when we checked in, we were given the closest room to the freeway on that floor!!! It was incredibly loud all night long. The walls also felt like paper thin, so we could hear lots of noise from the room above us. When we asked about changing rooms, the staff was curt and unfriendly. This is such a shame! We very much enjoyed our time in Hood River. It's a charming town but this hotel experience was very disappointing.

- Jennifer (6/5): - I was about half early for check in, room wasn’t ready yet but I was able to set up in the lobby and work until it was. The room was nice, clean and cool. The fitness room is decent but all 3 treads were broken (without signage). Two wouldn’t go over 1mph and the last one wouldn’t even turn on. This was incredibly frustrating as fitness centers/pools are specific amenities I look for when I’m traveling. No info on website or offered at check in, I had to find them all not working and then go to the front desk to be told “I don’t know why there aren’t signs up, they’re out until new ones arrive”

- Verified traveler (2/5): I want my money back. Terrible stay - Couldn’t get any sleep, our room was located next to the staircase where there was banging all through the night. The heating system rattles in the room sounds like a train when it turns on very uncomfortable situation didn’t get any sleep very unhappy.
- Cindy (9/5): As I stated before, this is a nice, quiet hotel. This time around we didn’t have to search around for a hotel lobby des - We have stayed here before. We like the location being close to town and near festivities occurring or restaurants to eat at. I didn’t like when we would go to the elevator that when the elevator arrived and doors were to open there was this “altered sound” (maybe in the shaft of the elevator) but typically all you hear is a ding when it reaches the lobby. Very weird sounding elevator.

- Adele E. (6/5): - As a vegetarian, I was not pleased with the cereal options which were all geared for kids. No raison bran or Special K. I could not get any of the exercise machines to work. I have a treadmill at home and you just turn it on and press start. These must have a secret code to get them to work.
- FJVLS (8/5): Nice, Newer Hampton Inn - We had a nice overnight stay. This is a fairly new HI, so the rooms are modern and finishes in great shape. We were there on a weekend, and suspect we paid premium prices. Notwithstanding, we'd say this property is in the top quartile of HI's. Only reason we didn't go 5 stars was value. Pro's: - Great location on the waterfront at Hood River. Everything downtown or waterfront centric is walking distance. - All the Hampton Inn freebies: parking, breakfast, wifi. - Very clean and new. - Friendly staff. Other notes: - Hotel is right next to I-84 and the railroad tracks. We slept just fine. Perhaps light sleepers will notice some background noise.
- AsylumResident (8/5): Great hotel…but get your news elsewhere - Right on the Hood River. Great views and all the bells and whistles….including breakfast, and a laundry room which came ini handy. Only one issue. The manager….whoever that might be….has elected to put copies of the Epoch Times in the lobby. (You can read about that “newspaper” on Wiki). No problem with the hotel….but the manager needs to retrace the steps that led to the decision to leave that psychotic pamphlet around for public consumption. .

- Verified traveler (10/5): Hood River weekend - We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and it’s always excellent. The rooms looking over the Hood River are our favorite. Spacious and gorgeous view. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is great and hot tub was fun.
- Timothy (6/5): - Probably was nice in the 90s but time has passed it by a bit. Furniture is dirty and stained. Room smelled very strongly of deodorant, presumably to hide some other smell? They have some really annoying and cheap practices too, like you have to sign up for some "Honors" program just to get WIFI and then it isn't even good WIFI, you have to pay more for "premium" WIFI to basically do anything. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but probably won't be visiting again.
