• Henrik (1/5): Unhygienisch, Enttäuschend, Uneinsichtigkeit des Personals - Die Lage und der Bar/Poolbereich Warnung: Rattenbefall, Täuschung und völlig überteuert Unser Aufenthalt im Amihan Beach Cabanas war die größte Enttäuschung unserer Philippinen-Reise. Trotz des stolzen Preises von 8.400 PHP pro Nacht (unserer teuersten Unterkunft) entsprachen die Leistungen in keiner Weise dem Standard. Die Mängel im Detail: • Irreführung bei Buchung: Online wurde nur noch das teure Familienzimmer als "letzte Option" angezeigt. Wie sich herausstellte, waren deutlich bessere Cabanas mit Meerblick die gesamte Zeit über frei – man hat uns offensichtlich bewusst in die teuerste, aber schlechteste Kategorie gedrängt. • Zimmerzustand: Das Familienzimmer war dunkel, muffig und extrem laut (direkt über der Rezeption/Straße). Der Boden und die Regale waren schmutzig (Staub und Dreck). Die Dusche bot nur Salzwasser, wonach man sich klebriger fühlte als nach einem Tag am Meer. • Der Horror in der Nacht: In der zweiten Nacht entdeckten wir um 00:30 Uhr eine Ratte, die über die Dachbalken direkt über unserem Bett lief. • Krisenmanagement: Anstatt uns sofort zu helfen, mussten wir zwei Stunden lang mit dem Nachtmanager diskutieren und auf einen Zimmerwechsel beharren. Erst um 02:30 Uhr morgens konnten wir in eine neue Cabana umziehen. Die Nachtruhe und Erholung vor unserer Weiterreise waren komplett zerstört. Fazit: Das Management war absolut uneinsichtig und verweigerte jede Rückerstattung für diese unzumutbaren Zustände. Ein Hotel, das solche Preise aufruft, aber seine Gäste wissentlich täuscht und Ratten im Zimmer ignoriert, ist absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Spart euch das Geld und bucht woanders auf Bantayan.

• Tonny (5/5): Dejlig beliggenhed, ok hytter, manglende ro grundet høj musik på stedet fra opstillede højtalere, uopmærksomhed fra pers - Beliggenheden og hytterne Høj musik fra formiddag til 22-23 tiden om aftenen som resortet leverede. Kunne have valgt at skrue ned, dette ikke tilfældet, selvom der var meget få mennesker tilstede i bar og restauranten, meget forstyrrende når man ønsker fred og ro ved stranden. Personalets manglende opmærksomhed i restaurantens åbningstider, havde travlt med at snakke med hinanden. Begrænset drikkeligt tilbehør til morgenmaden. Manglende action omkring rotter som vi både filmede og gjorde personalet opmærksom på, dette blev der ikke gjort noget som helst ved, selvom de opholdt sig i restaurantens rum med kopper, tallerkner og bestik, man fylder Rottehullet, men det var tilbage dagen efter og de løb stadig på jorden mellem bygningen. Meget salt vand i vandhane og bruser ikke så behageligt

• Crestine (4/5): Disappointing - Location Im, honestly, pretty disappointed. First, I wasnt aware that the family room is located right above the reception area. It should’ve not been a big deal, but I was with two senior citizens, and climbing up the stairs wasn’t very ideal for them. It was probably an oversight on my part for missing that information before booking. But when we get to the room, it seems like the bathroom was too outdated. Not talking about the “cabana style”, but the shower head was too rusty and the sink clogged up after my aunt washed her hands. I ended up talking a shower at a different resort since the water was running really slow and smelled like rust. Lounge chairs and hammock outside our room smelled musty. I guess my expectations were not met compared from the videos/photos I saw online of this resort being too hyped up. At least for the cabana we stayed at, it was really poorly maintained. Bedsheets were somehow clean though, and location was good. Staff were friendly enough. Hopefully the management will do better in (restoring and) maintaining this place prestine.

Perfect for relaxing, slowing down, and enjoying the island without rush. Nothing significant. Everything was as expected for this kind of place.

First night we went to bed, turned off the lights and started hearing noises from the ceiling: there were 3 big rats walking over us, the staff acknowledged they have such issue and that "management should really think of placing traps around the resort". Disgusting, we checked out and still they're fighting not to reimburse us.

• Romain (4/5): Insta vs réalité attention - L’hôtel se survend grâce aux réseaux et aux belles photos mais la qualité n’y est pas du tout surtout compte tenu du prix de la nuitée. Les cabanes sont mignonnes oui mais ce n’est pas exceptionnels, l’hôtel n’est pas directement à la plage comme on peut le penser. Il y a un escalier avant d’accéder à la plage, qui est comme souvent mal entretenue. C’est dommage compte tenu du nombre de salariés disponibles dans le « resort » et qui ne semble pas savoir comment s’occuper. Le personnel est tout de même très gentil mais peu professionnel compte tenu du standing que l’établissement se revendique. La qualité du restaurant est à revoir ! Fast food, surgelé, nourriture à l’huile bas de gamme… bien dommage pour le prix. Idem pour le petit déjeuner qui n’a rien de haut de gamme. Pour les équipements, il est urgent de refaire le bord de la piscine , très petite en passant, car c’est excrément dangereux et très décevants pour le prix payé , à notre passage il était indiqué qu’il était en travaux, c’est faux, vu l’état cela fait bien longtemps qu’il est abîmé. Cet hôtel a du potentiel mais ne vaut certainement le nom de resort ou d’hôtel haut de gamme. Asie ou non (180€ la nuit on attend beaucoup beaucoup mieux).
• Lina (10/5): Fantastiskt på alla sätt! - Vi älskade stället, vår familje-cabana var rymlig och mysig med hängmatta på balkongen. Närheten till stranden och poolen var fantastisk. Maten var outstanding och kom väldigt snabbt. Drinkarna bland de bästa vi druckit. Att boende dessutom låg nära centrum var en bonus. Kan inte komma på någonting som inte var bra.

Additionally, you don’t have to worry about getting sand into your cabana as there is a foot wash before entering. Foot wash container is not refilled frequently. Breakfast is the same everyday which makes it very limited. Hopefully, there will be different choices in the menu for the week.

• Adrien (4/5): Just not worth the price / very high potential hotel wasted - The loca We payed about 6000PHP / 96€ per night, which is expensive for the Philippines so we expected a high standard hotel and service but instead we got : - old bungalow 🏚️ that really need a renovation - water problem (no running water at all and when you have some water it smells very bad) - rats 🐀 in the room that wakes you up in the middle of the night. When you notice the staff they don’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️ - unfriendly staff that doesn’t care about customers because they already get the only thing they are interested in : your money - “included breakfast” quality is very poor and if you ask for ice coffee latte it’s extra - they will not assist you properly to book any activities or service (island hopping, motor bike they will ask you for 550PHP/day while the actual price is 350PHP/day, ride to the port not available “because of maintenance”) - noisy as the bungalow are really cheap you hear everything : loud music from the bar next door and kids shouting around - and you can notice they put fake comments on google to keep their rate high (fake account with only 1 review: amazing comments about this hotel with dreamy pictures) It’s really a shame because the location is nice, right on the beach 🏝️ if only they cared a little and put more effort on the service at least…. (The evening/ night reception lady was the only smiling and nice staff tho)

Service needs improvement.” - ABC boasts a spectacular location right by the beach, complete with stylish covered sun loungers and cozy bean bags — the perfect setting to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise. While most of the staff were welcoming, there is still room for even more warmth and attentiveness. Occasionally, there were some delays in clearing plates and bottles left outside the bar area, sometimes taking a bit longer than expected. It’s also worth noting that, although unrelated to ABC, music from a nearby hotel could be quite loud at times.

• Lilley (9/5): Highly recommended - beach cabana heaven - The location was like paradise, beach cabanas on the beach, private sun loungers, huts and bean bags, excellent beach bar/restaurant with stunning juices and food (the ice tea was sensational). The rooms are well appointed, aircon and fan. However, they were a little stuffy, but not a problem. The beach doggos were so cute and they brought us joy on a daily basis. The sea was warm, clear, beautiful! There was even a free kayak to use. Reception were super helpful with transfers and helping us with a packed breakfast on our last day. Restaurants etc just a few steps away.

• Sophie (7/5): Cosy, beautiful little resort - probably the best on Bantayan Island! - Boutique small resort with only 9 cottages. Beautiful setting & very nice beach. Cosy ambience with nice music play ed on very good headspeakers. Choice of beach cabanas sun or shade. Nice restaurant on the beach with good food & drinks. Amihan probably has the most beautiful, peaceful & cosy setting on Bantayan Island! Overall very nice staff. We stayed 4 nights in the ”Casita”, which is the only cottage with a private pool; The pool guy was always cleaning our pool several times a day - great service! The ”Casita” is 2-storey, with bedroom & bathroom upstairs & a Livingroom downstairs; The floors are not connected by stairs inside, but outdoors. The Casita is very private with its own terraces and beautiful sea view. Also has its own shower & toilet downstairs by the private terrace. Reception staff is professional & helpful. There was No way to keep the light out in the early mornings, because the cottage is built in bambu which is transparent. Also the cockerels next door made noises from 6 A.M. The bed was Ok with nice pilows, but quite hard (which is common in Asia). The breakfast was out of black Tea 3 out of 4 mornings, and also out of watermelon juice…

Such a great stay- honestly- would gladly return BUT my Small pet peeve was that during the day guests would let their straw covers fall into the sand and it wasnt always immediately cleared up.

The management was not willing to give us any kind of compensation. very unprofessional. saturday night was very loud from the club next door and from the restaurant of the hotel until 1am.

Unbelievably bad heavy trance music all day and night with heavy bass into the rooms coming from the property itself. Yes I did request it to be turned down, they did so for 20 mins… Don’t be fooled by the photos. This property need to be updated, the pool has green scum all around and the staff r too lazy to clean it. The decking needs replacing immediately. The place is photogenic at night but the reality is very different. As above

• Aira (6/5): Pleasant - We recently stayed at Amihan Beach Cabanas in the family room above the reception and had a mixed experience. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with a charming setting that could be ideal for a beach getaway. However, the cabanas are showing signs of wear and could really use some renovating, especially given the premium price. One aspect that impacted our stay was the music, which played throughout the day and night. The playlist felt poorly curated and didn’t fit the relaxing beach vibe we were hoping for, which disrupted the atmosphere more than we expected. Our last night brought an unfortunate surprise when we spotted a huge rat creeping toward the ceiling. This was extremely unsettling and left us with a disappointing final impression. While Amihan Beach Cabanas has a lot of potential, the experience felt overpriced for what we received. With some improvements, it could be a truly exceptional stay.

Great place to watch the sunrise The frequent power interruptions gave a little inconvenience. It would be great if we were given a heads up at first so we wont be that surprised
• Ablen (8/5): Great experience and definitely will be back again! - The staff! They are the best. They make Amihan a more desirable choice to stay for a vacation. Gil, the bar mixologist is the best. Fuma is very good with her job and always smile. The breakfast gang are very good too. The room amenities is superb and is always cleaned plus the staff reception are attentive and very helpful. The staff makes what Amihan is. The beach was cleaned regularly and the whole place feels safe. I also love the location. It’s a walking distance to the shop for food and drinks. The swimming pool needs to be refurbished urgently , I wish there was a happy hour and Filipino food choices on the menu.
• Loriebeth (7/5): Good - I like the location, good food The staff were not courteous enough. They don't even greet their guests. Not attentive to their customers needs. The resort dont offer a shuttle from the port to their resort, their resort should have it considering they a bit expensive. Water system is not good. Salty water.
• Alexandra (6/5): Pleasant - A good concept that is not thought-out and implemented to the end. Nice beach, but not that huge. The cabanas directly on the beach and you have a barefoot area. Very nice. The facility is relatively small. A good concept that is not thought through and implemented to the end. Some of the loungers on the beach are firmly anchored and so close to the restaurant that you can't really enjoy the peace and quiet. The restaurant is also well attended by people from outside, which means that unfortunately anyone can get in on the premises, even via the beach. Beach vendors or questionable 'musicians' are also standing right at the breakfast table and nothing is done by hotel employees to avoid it. The rooms are nicely finished, but there is no safe and valuables can only be left at the reception. This is very inconvenient, you just hand it into the hands of an employee and have no idea where exactly it is kept. The complex borders on private houses, so that the chicken farm is directly behind the wall. You are woken up very early every day by crowing roosters. We were only there for a few days and experienced that a large family often books several cabanas in the complex and then behaves on the property as if it only belongs to them - screaming, claiming the pool just for themselves, according to the movie on the cell phone in the restaurant during breakfast. There is no reaction from the hotel/restaurant employees. As does abusing the basic safety rules. Driving your private jet ski between people swimming in the area not intended for this purpose. Sorry, we do not recommend this hotel.
• Emile (8/5): Very good - Lovely boutique accommodation right on the beach staying in the casita room with pool. Good breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and our room wasn’t looked at once. We had to ask everyday for water and coffee pods. Our breakfast dishes sat outside our room all day attracting flys. Could have been better for the rate paid.

• Justine (10/5): Absolutely beautiful, wish we booked to stay longer. - Absolutely loved the location, the ocean being right at the door step is breathtaking and so relaxing. It was also walking distance from restaurants and bars. Included breakfast is delicious, we over ate each morning. We have already recommended it to family and my parents are keen to book. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s good value for money given all other accommodation options are significantly cheaper. Locals even advised us that we were paying too much, but we were happy to spend the money as it was our honeymoon and the location was just beautiful

• Rhiann (7/5): Every was incredible EXCEPT the noise level. Would reconsider booking again - The location!! The food and bar were also great The noise from the bar behind! No one mentioned at any point during booking that this could be an issue. It wasn’t just loud, it felt like the music was blasting in my room. It went past 11pm and the walls were vibrating. I honestly wouldnt have booked if I knew how bad that would be - which is a shame because everything else was perfect.

• April (6/5): The staff are amazing, their hotel dog “ Lea” is too adorable, they should keep her. Hotel guests esp the animal lovers - The Staff- they were amazing! I love how they accommodate their guests. “LEA” the dog is very adorable. Hotel should adopt her. The property rooms especially the one I booked needs an upgrade.

Great location on a lovely beach - a 5-minute walk to the shops and restaurants. etc. Great staff. Good movie channels on the TV. Highly recommended. TV may be the smallest TV in the world! :) The pool isn't especially big - but its sufficient for a nice swim.

• Marietta (6/5): They did bot meet ny expectation based on the room rate I paid for. - 1. The location. 2. Ala carte food order at the restaurant was good. Nescafe! they could have at least upgraded to a brewed coffee for the complimentary breakfast. It did not have the friendly and personal resort vibe! Most of the staff are new. The capacity of the window type aircon for the room was not enough to make the room cold.
