Small, but clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. Loved how close to the spit it was. Would love to come back!

Pamela (10/5): - We were very pleased with our stay in the Halibut room. So much so that my husband says he wants to return next year when the weather is nicer and stay in the same room. That's saying a lot coming from him! I will recommend this place to all my friends who want to visit Homer.
James (10/5): - We visited Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, Valdese, Seward, and homer while in Alaska. The White House in was clearly the best hotel we have stayed in. It had a big bed, a large TV, an upgraded bathroom, a large refrigerator and freezer, a great coffee machine, and microwave oven. It also had a hot tub that you could sit in and overlook The sound. We didn’t use it, but it would’ve been lovely! There are some great local restaurants that we ate at. AJ’s and the fresh cat Café were probably the best. It was nice waking up every morning to the sound of sandhill cranes, and seeing some local moose as we drove around. The manager jackie was outstanding. If I come back to Alaska again, I will come straight to Homer and stay in the White House in.
George (10/5): - Wonderful view of bay and comfortable chairs to sit and have a morning coffee. Beds were so comfy we had a hard time getting up in the morning! Had cow moose with two calves walking outside our room! We spent 4 comfortable nights with them and would do it again!

There is no management on site and no maid service. The price is high for what you get but that seems to be the norm in Alaska.

The beds were very comfortable. However, the two beds/frames in this room were very creaky- any time you moved, it was pretty loud.

Thomas (10/5): Very comfortable with a great view - This is a very comfortable upstairs room. Décor was nicely done, and locations was fine. Very nice view of the bay and surrounding mountains. Close to the Homer Spit, a few minutes drive to the main part of town.

Eric (10/5): Wonderful - Our family of 4 stayed two nights in the Silver Salmon room. It was so welcoming. The room had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable. The property itself is gorgeous! It's quiet, relaxing and family friendly. The view is unbelievable! Amazing!! We enjoyed sitting out on the chairs watching the bald eagles fly by over the water. This was our favorite spot on our trip.

James (8/5): A great stay in a great place - The location of the White House Inn couldn't be better. The owner was very responsive and helpful before we arrived. The room was great and very comfortable. The only problem was that the hot tub was not heating and when we brought it up a couple of time to the person on site, they did not address it. Otherwise a great stay in a great place.

A few things that were not good was, the room was very small and the bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I have ever experienced in a B&B. There was some kind of noise that was coming from upstairs, like a vacuum but it wasn't too.

Dianna (10/5): Amazing views & total comfort - Our room was well decorated and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed all of the extras like popcorn and French vanilla coffee creamer. The location was incredibly beautiful and we took the time to relax in the manicured lawns and take in the ocean scene. Larry and his staff do a fabulous job in making this one of the best places we stayed.

The accommodations are wonderful and overlooking the accesible beautiful Cook Inlet, guaranteed you will not be disappointed! During my stay I ran 18 miles in 2 days it was it was fantastic, a life experience,,,, grateful for that!

Verified traveler (2/5): Not worthy of Hotels.com - We were in the outback of Alaska for six days during which time I had two texts and three phone messages from this place. When we had service, I called the owner(?) who said my credit card didn't go through. I knew that wasn't right so I gave him the same card and it went right through. Over the course of a couple of hours, we texted back and forth over this reservation. I reserved a "premium" ocean front king room. He claimed that he couldn't tell from Hotels.com what type of room I reserved but he would upgrade us for no charge. They were very clear to distinguish from ocean front to ocean view in their on-line description. When we arrived - this is not an "inn" or "hotel" we found this be a house with six rental units. There is no on-site manager. The code we were given to get in the room did not work. I called the manager's number (call went to VM) and texted the owner. The owner got back to me after some time and gave me an entirely different code. The room was ok - ocean view bedroom on the upper floor of the house. They advertised daily maid service which did not happen. After a cold day of fishing we returned to the same messy room we left that morning. This type of arrangement might work for some folks, but it is not for us
Doree (10/5): Beautiful! - Beautiful inside and out! We could walk right out to the beach and the view from our room was breathtaking. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated.
Crash (10/5): Excellent water front and mountain view. - Easy check in, pro-active staff contacted us with details and to confirm everything. Super soft and comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Clean, quiet comfortable room with amazing views close to everything - super short walking distance to the water. Bald eagles flying by and perched out front, 20+ tides filling and draining, green grass and red chairs, a play set and plenty of parking. Exceeded all expectations.
