And the basketball court was a nice addition for my kids. The suite was big and spacious! my favorite part! how big the suite was. I will be coming back! To no fault of the staff- the AC in our suite did not work, so it was SUPER hot. The staff, however, offered another room, but it was smaller, and our family was too big for just a king size bed, we needed two double queens so we had to stay put. The staff did bring fans, which we appreciated, but not having AC kept the rating to a 7/10. Also, the breakfast was not good. Not a lot of variety, and the food was bland and not tasty at all.

- williamsN9442RW (10/5): Recent Stay - Very nice facility, although a challenge to locate because of Christiansburg's odd road system. We initially thought the facility had gone through a recent renovation because it was spotless and had a fresh smell. Actually, the facility is planned to have renovation work done in the future. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful as was the breakfast staff the next morning. As with other Homewood Suites we've stayed at, the breakfast menu needs to be refreshed and expanded. Overall, a very good experience and we intend to stay there again in the near future.

- UFORich (10/5): A painful visit but with Angels on the staff - I experienced a severe case of Sciatica and my wife had to drive us home from Winchester, VA heading to Alabama. I had to lay flat in the car. We decided to stop off here and requested a wheelchair. Instead we had two angels Donna and Charisse (a new employee) help us get me in and in a ground floor room. Charisse got me ice and pillows and helped us get settled as my wife struggled with her own pains (age 81). The room was great, the food fantastic and I cannot say enough about the great staff.

It was very well laid out with places to put things and plenty of plugs for charging devices. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We liked that it had 24 hour coffee and they offered us bottled water and a package of cookies when we arrived. We did not use the gym or pool so can't comment on them. The staff was very friendly. Only thing that could have been better was to get a little better toilet paper. It was very thin.

- MMPJMH (10/5): THANK YOU, HALEE AND TABITHA...!!! - What a lovely welcome to a beautiful new hotel after a long, long drive . We were warmly greeted by Halee at the Front Desk (she even made sure to text us after we were in our room!). And what a room! A 2-Bedroom/2-Bath Suite, sprawling main bathroom with an accessible bath tub. The 2nd bedroom had 2 double beds and a shower. The kitchen was way, way roomier than your older Homewood’s and all of the giant picture windows had automatic curtain screens that yes, you could easily operate without IT skills. You can skip researching for your regular gym in town because the fitness room here has it all: 7 machines, a Universal, 2 benches and free weights. Adjacent is a clean and sparkling indoor pool. Ice machine on the each floor. There was a Wednesday evening reception and never mind the delicious food, how about those pancake-sized homemade chocolate cookies. One was the meal in itself. The servers were so friendly you thought you were back at home on break from school being spoiled by Mom. Breakfast outdoes itself at Homewood these days (we know, we have over 600 Hilton nights) and here is no exception. What a terrific stay! And we shall return. Thank you for treating us like Hilton VIPs, GM Tabatha and your amazing staff!

- joanne (4/5): - We have enjoyed other Homewood Suites hotels, but this one was in need of a renovation. Apl of the carpets were filthy,,the hotel smelled terrible. The mattress was awful, the sheets, blankets amd pillows were even worse. The toilet was tiny and about 10 inches from the ground. Breakfast was disgusting. Truly. Weird, round ham floating in 3 inches of water, unidentifiable pulled pork. Inedible eggs. Just awful. No hospitality, chastized for asking for water.

- Shannon (6/5): It was okay… - Check in was great as was breakfast. Elevator was making a weird noise and shaking at 4th floor. Room air was quite warm even all the way down. We all slept with only a sheet and woke up multiple times due to temperature. My kids said that the pull out bed was very uncomfortable.

- Thomas (4/5): Not happy with the stay; not meeting my expectations at Hilton - Room was clean No working exhaust fan at the bathroom , shower head was not working good, no dust bin at the bathroom, mattress cover on sofa bed was not changed and had food crumbs I had to change the mattress covers myself as they said no housekeeping staff available at night. The mattress on sofa bed is too old and not comfortable to sleep. Overall the furniture are too old. I do not like to stay same place anymore

- mariehJ6942PT (10/5): Nice clean quite - We arrived late forgot time change. Checked in with our warm pizza. Clean, quiet room. Nice large shower. Much better breakfast. Only thing staff serving breakfast couldn’t tell us if there was soy in their breakfast. Said manager wasn’t there, staff should have this information for customers. Soy is becoming a known allergen and should be noted. A clean well appointed hotel. Will keep this on the list for future visits.
- crowe525 (10/5): Great Stay - Wonderful time at the Homewood Suites with my family. Sherry checked us in and she was very pleasant and helpful. The rest of the staff that we encountered for our one night stay was the same. The grounds were great with a basketball court and 2 grills. The breakfast was good as well. Would for sure stay again.
- Janice (8/5): - We found this hotel via a search when a glitch caused us to not be able to complete ourctrip in one day. We were very happyvto find a hotel along our travel route at a reasonable price. Itcwas clean, quiet, and nice enough, but was a step or two below where we had stayed the previous night...carpet stains, lesser quality appointments, smaller luggage carts, a queen size blanket on a king size bed. Nothing that made the stay uncomfortable or difficult, we just noticed the difference between the properties. The bed was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. The complimentary breakfast was adequate, but had limited choices. Most people would probably find itvto be fine, but I can't have gluten so there wasnt much for me to choose from. All in all a nice place, but I'd probably look at one of the other hotels if needing to stop in that area again.

- Stacy (10/5): Exceptional Customer Service!! - The attention to providing a genuinely hospitable experience was so evident from each person. An unexpected oasis in Virginia. From the start, we got personal attention from Sherry who made sure our room was set up well, even changing the thermostat so my disabled child could have the cooler temps she needs. Every morning, Lynn made sure we had a delicious, hot breakfast (NOT disposable plates & utensils 🙂) with surprising options like chia pudding and breakfast tacos -yum! The kindly guy who helps with maintenance adored my Yorkie-poo, stopping to pet her each time we happened to see each other. Valerie’s sense of humor eased my mind when my daughter was sick on the day of check out; she helped arrange for us to stay in our room a couple more nights. Tabitha is a modestly modern manager, running the place with an approachable style that seems to make the homey atmosphere infectious.

- LawrenceJ828 (10/5): Most well maintained Homewood Suites I have encountered! - I probably stay at Homewood Suites 6-8 times a year. They are typically pretty consistent and do the job without either exceeding nor falling short of expectations. Having said all of this, I was pleasantly surprised that this property surpassed what I am typically used to: ROOM: Had a spacious king mini-suite. I find that most HS around the country are starting to show their age, but this room was cleaner and more well maintained than a typical HS. Bathrooms in particular seem almost brand new and were kept really clean. Layout allowed good separation between the work area and the bed. SERVICE: Everyone was courteous and professional. You have to ask for housekeeping service, otherwise it is only every other day. I did ask for it daily and I got it without any problems. Had a brief problem losing a TV signal which the manager on duty worked diligently to resolve. She acknowledged that the signal loss was unacceptable given we were paying an inflated graduation weekend room rate and fixed it quickly. FITNESS: Gym had slightly more equipment and space than a typical HS. There was a full dumbell rack and cable machine. Equipment seemed to be clean and well maintained. There was an adjacent indoor pool which looked pretty clean. LOCATION: Decent location across the street from a Cracker Barrell and quite a few fast/casual dining options within a half mile. It took us about 15 minutes to get to VaTech for graduation related activities.

- Thompson (8/5): Family overnight stay - We had to visit Radford University and the location of this hotel was good. The front desk clerk, Sam, was polite and super helpful. The room was spacious, nicely furnished, and decorated. My toddler loved the fact that we only had to tap our key card to gain entry into the room-I appreciated that too, so much easier than inserting while wrestling with kids and bags. The room had a separate sleeping and living space which was a big plus when it was time to put little ones to bed! The breakfast was also nice. A fire alarm went off right after we'd put our kids to bed, but it didn't last more than 5 minutes and wasn't overly loud. 2 of our 3 kids slept through it. The mattress was a bit firm for our liking. The cleaning staff missed a drink bottle trash under the sofa, the shower curtain liner was noticeablely dirty, and there were bits of hair inside the shower, in the bathroom floor, and on the toliet.

- Caroline (8/5): - My husband and I returned to the hotel by 11:00pm, and we circled around the entire hotel parking area until we found the one remaining parking space. (If I was a solo traveler, I wouldn’t want to have to walk a distance through the lot by myself.) The parking is adjacent to another hotel’s parking lot, and that was packed as well. Our stay wasn’t on a busy holiday or special event weekend- it was late February. I mentioned the parking situation to the staff member on duty that evening and he was very nonchalant, as if it happened all the time. Besides the parking, the breakfast area was in a pretty, spacious room with high ceilings and the breakfast had a good variety of options.
