• Erik (4/5): - Lage am Bahnhof Das Haus liegt an einer Hauptstrasse, die Fenster sind nicht isoliert und es ist furchterregend laut. Auch in den hinteren Zimmern. Die Klimaanlage war sehr schwach auf der Brust, so dass es sehr heiss im Zimmer war. Definitiv nicht empfehlenswert.

• Natalie (8/5): Very good - Great price and location, staff were very helpful and the bathrooms were clean. Other guests were extremely noisy until the early hours of the morning, meaning there wasn't much sleep. This is not the hostels fault, but it did impact our stay.
• Alena (1/5): Loyd location, if you are sensitive to noise it's not for yo/u - I liked it was possible to buy water, soft drinks and some little necessities. The staff was quite nice. It's not far from a metro station. The location! Very loud, there's 10 lines wide road from both sides of the building with constant traffic. It gets quieter only from 4-6am. I know it cos I didn't sleep at all for 2 nights. Ear plugs won't help you. Felt like my bed was in the middle of a highway. I had a terrible migraine because of the journey and the loudness of the hostel made it worse. The room also smelled bad, but the hallway even worse, like a fried food. I chose it last minute, in the evening, because my previous hostel canceled the booking. I chose according to the rating, didn't read the reviews and that was a mistake. Some people live in the dorms long term. It was full of things and the floor in the room not cleaned. It's not a typical backpacker hostel.
• Katarina (6/5): Pleasant - If you’re looking for a hostel with a friendly atmosphere, a relaxing common area, or a place to meet fellow backpackers, this is not the right choice. The private rooms for two were okay, although they felt a bit like a prison cell. The dorms, however, were a disappointment. Many guests stay here long-term, so the rooms are cluttered with their belongings and often messy. The hostel is also home to many older residents who seem to live here permanently and are not particularly welcoming to new guests. The check-in process went smoothly, and the reception is open 24/7. However, outside of check-in and check-out times, the staff at the front desk didn’t speak a word of English, making communication impossible. The hostel also advertises a washing machine, but it was out of order during our stay. Overall, this is not a great place if you’re looking for a typical backpacker-friendly hostel experience.
• Chris (5/5): Good location but very very loud. - Staff were great and location was very good for the price Soundproofing was so poor that it felt as if we were sleeping on the highway. Asked for a low floor with a quiet room and got 2nd floor with the aforementioned noise. Room was cramped and beds were very hard, also the mattresses had a leather covering which meant they stayed hot all night when slept on and the sheets didn't fit onto the mattresses properly so kept coming off.

• Vlasta (7/5): Perfect place for a one night stay - The hostel in conveniently located near the train station. It is a short walking distance. Also a short walking distance to China Town. The staff speak English. The place is generally clean. Since it is located near a busy road it is very noisy and I could not sleep at night. We were not told that we can use the facilities for making tea or coffee on the ground floor. There is no lift so if you have mobility problems, do not book this place. The sockets are high up by your bed so when you want to charge your mobile it has to hang down the charging cord.

• Lisa (10/5): Amazing staff and wonderful location. - We have stayed at the Loftel many times over the years. We always come back as the staff are amazing, the location wonderful, the free cold water, the free hot water, the shared bathrooms are always clean. It is truly a great place to stay for a few days. The close proximity to Hua Lumphong train station and MRT is perfect for travel anywhere in the city or for trains out of the city. It is slightly tricky to find a variety of cheap street food, but Chinatown is very close. The only negative would be that the fitted sheets do not fit the bunk beds perfectly and come off during the night.

• Ildikó (7/5): Good - The loftel is within walking distance to Hua Lamphong station and Chinatown. The owner/manager really went all out to help with every problem that occurred to us. We booked it during peak season only a day ahead of our stay, when booking dot com itself had some technical issues both on our and the loftel's account, and our booking didn't show up at them. Yet, they provided us with a room within 15 minutes, 2 days before New Year's Eve. It's in the intersection of the expressway and a 6-lane (?) busy road. The street is as noisy as Bangkok can get. And despite that the soundproofing is quite effective, and we were in a room without a window, we could still hear some loud bikes. But when you travel in SEA, you should always bring a pair of serious earplugs to help you sleep.

• tatsuyo (10/5): - MRTファラボーン駅の改札をでて4番のエレベーターで地上にでると高速道路が見えるのでその方向にまっすぐ100メートルくらい歩くと調度高速道路の下に位置するところにホステルがあります。 駅から近くて便利でした。 エレベーターはありません フリーのホットウォーターと水がロビーにありました。 レセプションのかたは感じがよかったです。 シャワーも問題なく使えました。 女性ドミに宿泊しましたが下段はカーテンがありますが、上段はカーテンがないです。 女性ドミは長期滞在の若い女性が多かったように思いますが皆さん感じがよかったです。

• Sa (10/5): It was an enjoyable experience. - - Loftel hostel meets all of my basic needs for a place to stay while being on a budget. - Located on the big street, near Hua Lamphong MRT, had the clothes washing service, the shared bathrooms and toilets were clean, and 24 hour check-in is a plus. - Our group visited the property when there wasn't too many tenants around, so using the shared bathroom was quite comfortable. We went out all day and only came back around 11pm to take a bath and rest. - We mostly interacted with the night shift receptionist - which was an old lady. She was really nice, please just be patient with her. - The walls here are quite thin so you might experience some noise from the neighbor room, though it depends on the neighbor, for our trip it wasn't so bad. And although locating right on the big street is a good thing, at night it was quite rowdy from the street motocycles racing (it's an SEA thing) and big trucks running on the street. For me personally it wasn't an issue, but for some of my friends it was kind of uncomfortable. Just something for you to consider if you're sensitive when sleeping.

They always went out of their way to be friendly and offer us snacks, help, suggestions, etc. my husband had hurt his ankle at the train station and the staff gave us ice and an early check in to help. They were simply brilliant. It was a real shame their cafe wasn’t open. I feel it would give the place more atmosphere as well as being a much needed facility to guests.

• Naw (10/5): Exceptional - the day Receptionist "Choi" is very helpful and Welcoming ... It's just near Huampong train station and easy to travel by train .We went to Ayuttaya and Pattaya by train. They have washing machine, drying machine, Refrigerator and Oven which is very convenient for me after days of travel and need laundry.

Good location and nice communal area (that I unfortunately didn’t get to experience much of!). The room smelt really nice when I walked in which was a nice touch. bathrooms were clean. Free water! Bed was nice and comfy. The light in the bedroom was a bit dim. sometimes you could hear loud bikes from the street but was ok with ear plugs in!

You can even consider this as an event place for weddings and the likes. It's memorable to have our Loy Krathong and Yipeng Lantern festival here. Oh and don't forget to try their Thai massage as well. This place is highly recommended! 😊

Thank-you so much. I always stay here in Bangkok in their dorm, but it can be a little bit cold depending who is controlling the air com. I have got to know the local eateries so well, but China town is still within easy walking distance as well, nonetheless, if needs be.
• Matthew (10/5): Stay near the train station - Great if you want to stay close to the main train station. It's a little bit further away from the action for other things, but only a short Grab ride really. I ended up in a 6 bed dorm on my own for most of my stay, so it was quiet and pretty private. Cafe onsite has some good food at affordable prices.
