Breakfast and dinner had a varied menu and again both excellent. Free parking on site and an easy walk to the town centre. Would highly recommend this hotel for their high standards and friendly staff.
- Richie (10/5): Cosy with great breakfast - Cosy room, with top quality breakfast. Room was at the start of the corridor so it was noisy when other guests went past the door. But fortunately the other guests were in their rooms at a decent hour so my sleep was not disturbed. Would stay again

We also ate in the restaurant for dinner which was delicious. A delicious breakfast each morning too. We won't hesitate to stay at the hotel again.

- Joshua (2/5): Honest review - Awful bed, really uncomfortable and lumpy mattress. The bathroom wall beside the shower had a hole in it (about the size of a 5p coin). That had cellotape covering it. Really noisy location, could hear people shouting at each other in the street at 02:00. On a brighter note, the restaurant wasn’t too bad food wise, but really slow service.

The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff were extremely pleasant and courteous and we would not hesitate to stay again in the future.

Lovely complimentary breakfast. Catered for my husband who is gluten intolerant.

- Heidi (6/5): - The property was well priced and the breakfast was ok for the price. There is parking but its tight to access through a narrow archway. Note ANPR so give details on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the shower looked recently installed. What was less good was while the door locked the catch so it couldnt be opened from the outside didn't. Also the corridor door and outside was noisy. The breakfast was a bit cold and it tasted like margarine was used rather than butter on the muffin. All in all ok without being great. The restaurant smelled great though but unfortunately I had already eaten. Might be worth visiting for the restaurant rather than the hotel.

- Stephen (10/5): Good stay - Comfortable rooms, pleasant staff, good food. The hotel has a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant which was superb, breakfast was good too. Across the road from the hotel is a lovely quaint bar called The hole in the wall, i recommend this too, if you don't want a bustling pub full of kids, because this is a lovely pleasant drinking house.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Facilities Out of Order - Room was great, but i booked this place over other options for the Pool, Sauna, Steam room. However, these facilities remained out of action for the duration of my stay, making this booking disappointing and over priced. There was no notice at time of booking that the facilities were out of action or i would have booked elsewhere.

- Anebolyn (10/5): - Excellent service. We were given a room downstairs as I requested to suit my husband’s mobility issue. The room is spacious and clean. The shower floor is non-slip and we felt safe. There is an ironing board and you can request an iron if you need it. The car park is bonus. The WiFi connection was good. The restaurant was nice and spacious. The food portion is not too much otherwise it would go to waste. The choices of menu in the evening is excellent. There are vegetarian and vegan menus available if you don’t want to eat meat most of the time. The staff are polite and friendly. They are well organised especially at breakfast. We are given menu to choose and tick what you want to drink and eat for breakfast the night before. You just leave it by the reception area once completed. There’s also a spa. It’s near the town centre of Bodmin about 0.3 miles.

Good sized and well-equipped room and bathroom; only complaint was that the partition wall on one side was very thin so we could hear rather more of our neighbours in the adjacent room than we would have liked. Good choice of breakfast (no continental pastry option, though), and we enjoyed our Vietnamese evening meal in the restaurant.

Ensuite in the room was clean and functional, but the room only had basic tea, and coffee making facilities (no biscuits). Other than that we were very happy with the hotel.
- Susan (10/5): - This is a small regional hotel in the middle of Cornwall. It is close to the center of Bodmin with a restaurant on site - reservation only for dinner -- and a solid English breakfast in the morning. A good place for walkers and bikers making use of regional trails.

- Barry (10/5): An excellent hotel for cycling trip! - We were on an ebike trip from Lands End to John O'Groats and this was a very good hotel. We arrived absolutely soaked and no problem taking wet bikes and gear into hotel and they provided safe and secure (and dry) storage.The room had good heating and we got all clothes dry over night. Really enjoyed our evening meal and a fine breakfast next day. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very close to the National Cycle route too!

The only negatives are the walls are thin, I could hear word for word from the room next doors tv. Luckily it wasn't on until late. The parking is free but very tight spaces

Bed was comfortable, shower was a very good size and with both a rain head and a detachable wand. Only detractor was a water pump which could be heard any time water was used from a number of rooms but this did not stop a good nights sleep.

- Madeleine (10/5): - Stayed for one night. Check-in was quick and easy. Twin Room was very clean. Beds comfy. Lovely modern bathroom. Had all the necessary added extras e.g kettle/tea and coffee, towels and complimentary Shampoo. Pre-booked breakfast, plenty of choice the cooked breakfast was tasty. Only things that could be improved. Ironing board in room was broken so quite wobbly. Wallpaper in room peeling in places and could do with a fresh lick of paint. Entrance to carpark and some of the spaces quite tight but all in all a lovely stay and we will be back again. Thank you

- Ken (10/5): - Our room was excellent.as was the breakfast. The restaurant is Vietnamese/Western, has a good ambience and serves delicious food. The Sweet and sour Chicken is highly recommended. Bodmin is a good base for exploring both the North and South Cornwall resorts and is close to the Eden Project.

- xxxxxx (10/5): Brilliant service, clean, friendly, good food - We stayed for one night, last minute booking, when we were booked to go to the After dark ghost tour at Bodmin Jail. The staff were very friendly, the lady on reception allocated us a room in the cottage so that we could come back at 3am and not disturb anyone. The room was lovely, well cleaned and very comfy. We were asked what time we would like breakfast the following morning, breakfast was lovely, served on time and plenty of it. Will definitely stay again when we go back.

- Alexis (10/5): Saints Way Stay - Fabulous. We were staying over to do the Saints Way trail over 2 days. Staff really helpful, we were able to park one of the cars for the weekend. We were staying in one of the rooms in the cottage which was clean, tidy and modern. We booked a table for dinner and the food was exceptional and catered extremely well for both meat eaters and vegetarian, including vegan.

I did not eat at the hotel for my evening meal as the hotels.com listing detailed the kitchen was closed. But the menu looked lovely. Breakfast was ordered the night before so there was no wait when i arrived for my time slot. Room was clean and well presented. I stayed during the heat wave so the fan was very much appreciated.
