Guest Reviews

- Yamile (10/5): Paisaje maravilloso y descanso total - Todo !!! .
- Ashish (9/5): Superb - The view from the hotel was marvellous with sun falling on the room balcony. Peace and tranquility!!
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jorge (10/5): - Great location sorrounded by nature, nice staff helpful, beautiful sunrise, perfect if you are looking to rest and recharge
- Sánchez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Álvarez (9/5): Amazing view, peacefull and nice - The view was amazing, the staff very friendly and the breakfast simple yet very tasty. It is far from the town center, but it is necessary for the view and peacefulness
- Alejandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amaya (8/5): Very good -
- Perrotte (9/5): Amazing rooms and fantastic views - Fantastic rooms in a great location. Bear in mind it's a 30+ minute walk from town and whilst it was a lovely walk in you probably wouldn't want to walk back as it would be uphill all the way and the elevation is quite high No laundry facilities and breakfast could be improved upon
- Andrés (8/5): Very good -
- Maya (10/5): Amazing! Recommend! - Everything was amazing, comfy beds, silence and peacefulness, view. I would just recommend adding some good coffee for breakfast. An option for cappuccino and cafe latte really makes a difference, even if paid for. I would order and pay, but the coffee was really water with taste and I am a lover of coffee in the morning. Just an idea 😉
- Diana (9/5): Great hotel near Villa de Leyva - Great hotel near Villa de Leyva on the hill. The staff was very friendly and had made a mistake when booking and they were very kind and flexible. The nature and surroundings of the hotel were great. The breakfast was good and the staff was wonderful. No particular complaints about our stay.
- Andy (10/5): - The cabaña was beautiful and large. The staff was very attentive and friendly
- Sharjeel (8/5): Amazing location, romantic - Beautiful location
Friendly staff
Romantic More facilities in room
Thin walls, could hear people next door
Should have prepared the room with flowers etc as it was a honeymoon
- Enrique (9/5): I liked and was very good - location Some furniture
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Andreas (4/5): - difficult to reach
- Elizabeth (6/5): Be warned before you reserve!! - The location- and hotel grounds- are beautiful! The staff was friendly. Food from the restaurant was nice. BE WARNED: I wish I could give this place a better rating. Once we were there, it really was pretty nice; but I can't get over the feeling of getting the "bait & switch" when I reserved the room. Booking.com showed me several options available to reserve. I looked at individual pictures and amenities for each option. In the end, I decided to splurge and reserve the most expensive suite available- because it offered a hammock and hot tub on the terraces! (Along other attractive amenities). Additionally it showed a small kitchenette on the terrace as well. We were so excited! As soon as I made the reservation, and was charged by the property, I received several long WhatsApp messages from the property informing us of all the rules, and additional charges for using amenities in the room- like hot tub or jettub, and fireplace- that were not disclosed in the listing. And the worst part was their WhatsApp message indicating that the rooms are not guaranteed. So even though I paid for the best suite, their email said that the rooms are assigned based on availability. They sent links to the various suites and I found the one I had paid for, the nicest one, and I immediately sent them a message letting them know we were requesting that one. They replied with a repeat of the email, "rooms are assigned at check-in based on availability." I was frustrated with this place before we even got there. Then the day before check in they sent me a link to a Google doc in which I was asked to enter all of my personal information, including passport number and address. No way i would trust them with that info in a Google doc! Sure enough, we got to the hotel at check-in time and did not get the room we paid for. In fact, we passed that cabin as we were walking to ours, and it was obviously not occupied. It felt very deceiving to me, like a scam, and even though the staff was kind once we arrived, I would not stay there again, nor recommend.
- Sofia (8/5): Good, rural experience. Don't expect luxury. - The view, the friendliness of the staff and the quiet. For the price, I was expecting to have bath robes, slippers and a Smart TV.
Also, the restaurant schedule was modified our first day because I think we were the only guests. However, I didn't appreciate that because we had to have dinner before 7 pm.
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, very clean room and especially the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, and food came out quick. Nothing
- Juan (9/5): Superb -
- Mejia (6/5): Poor maintenance - The was beautiful and the room was nice and comfortable The shower knob was broken. When I tried opening the hot water knob, the knob fell out in pieces. Of course I wasn’t able to close the water and at 7:30 am there is NOBODY around or on the phone to call to. I wasn’t able to shower and the water stayed running until I was able to talk with someone. Also, the hot water never came out of the shower. Just in the sink.
- SAMUEL (8/5): - The property is situated in a very beautiful mountain peak that is very beautiful and very attractive the only problem I see is that the road into town is pretty rough and it's easier to travel on a SUV than a regular car but the road needs Improvement in the curtains in the room need Improvement also the breakfast was not very desirable but the property in itself it's just breathtaking getting there is the only problem I see unless you have good transportation but there is an option of a cab ride which is very flexible and accessible if you like cold weather it's a must temperature at night just chilling wonderful but but if you want to get away from all the noise is definitely a place for you
- Alex (9/5): Cost/benefit this is an amazing place, staff was very friendly - Its at a perfect location in the mountains! Great views, value is great! Towels could be bigger, snack bar needs more items, would be nice to have a much darker room!
- Luc (9/5): Colorful and splended stay. - The expectional architecture and interior design, the location, the views, the walks in the direct environmet, the free upgrade to an even more spacious appartment, the friendly and lovely personel ..... Nothing.
- Bryan (8/5): Very good -
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb -
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Raul (9/5): Superb -
- Ton (9/5): Nice hotel on a hill with great view. - We had the room with the jacuzzi on the balcony. Very nice. The possibility to have breakfast delivered to the room room is great. The staff did not speak any English. A small explanation about the jacuzzi would have been nice. Watch out: the last two kilometers to the hotel are a bit rough and very steep. Also at the hotel itself you have to walk up a very steep hill.
- Nicolas (7/5): Lovely hotel with stunning views but unpractical in some ways - Location was excellent, friendly staff and comfortable bed. Room had stunning views and it was lovely quiet. The road up to the hotel is a bit scary and we drove it in the dark which I won’t recommend. our room lemon snd mynt was a steep hike to the other side of the hotel. Not suitable for unfit people. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom which was pointless and you had to climb from behind into it to get a shower and climb out of it the same way since there was no sliding door. Very unpractical. There were no water glasses in the room but they did sell water (which for a hotel price like that should come for free). Breakfast was basic, they didn’t offer fresh fruit or any jam just the usual eggs.
- Geto (4/5): Not a good value for money and the staff doesn’t speak any English. Seems to be only for local / domestic tourists. - Very well maintained garden. It was clean. Outdated furniture and very weird old smell on the room. The staff didn’t speak even one word or English. The front door of the hotel closes at 10:30 and you can’t get in after that. The breakfast starts at 8 which is very late. Very far from Villa de Leyva so we had to use taxi all the time.
- Bob (8/5): nice stay and good value but a few small things could make it amazing. - beautiful location. good food. comfortable bed. nice staff. the room smelled of smoke from previous group using fireplace and the shower couldn’t settle on hot or cold. noisy in the am.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - the breakfast wasn’t great
- Roberto (5/5): Passable -
- My.montage (7/5): Absolutely beautiful location with lovely staff, needs a few changes! Would stay again! - The views are amazing and staff absolutely fantastic, always helpful. The room was beautiful but the walk up to the room could be challenging for some, especially if it's wet. To reach the hotel you need a reliable vehicle it can be difficult it rainy and very wet but worth it for sure. The hot/cold water regulator in the shower can be touchy. Overall the hotel is great, I would stay again but choose a room with a different view as you can have the town view or mountains. Shower hard to get a warm steady temperature. Breakfast was poor, the arepa was very bland and the hot chocolate not very good but the soup very delicious. Perhaps have fresh fruit as well as an option.
- Ernesto (4/5): Tha - Breakfast wasn't good. Dinner was very slow. Took too long for appetizer and main course. My wife and I where the only customers. Chorizo beef was to chewy and spaghettis too hard, not even al dente. I requested for more grated cheese and the first waitress answer was " it has an esxtra charge". Bedrooms windows only have blackouts and them doesn't cover the whole Windows, so you don't have privacy.
Night stands lamp bulbs don't work.
Jacuzzi jets dont blow enough air, so don't ask for jacuzzi service. Shower hot water is scalding.
Be careful.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - The view there was no hot water during and following rainfall
- Alexis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolas (7/5): Nice place to have a partner retreat :) - The location is peaceful and chill. In the area of the hotel, there are very nice ecological paths with valleys and waterfalls! Moreover, the hotel is very near to the village (if you have a car), so you can quickly go there and enjoy the events The water was difficult to arrange, and t was mostly cold! Moreover, in the restaurant area you can see the carcassess of some cockroaches, which is not nice.
- Roger (10/5): Looks like a dream! - Absolutely beautiful enclave by the mountains, gracefully decorated and exceptionally maintained. Staff is among the most friendly I have ever had, and the surrounding areas equally exceptional. A bit of a rough road from Villa de Leyva but nothing that a careful driver cannot handle.
- Adriana (10/5): Wake up with the sound if nature - The place is breathtaking; close to town for convenience but far enough to get a very peaceful setting.
They were very accommodating when we asked to bring some dinner to our room even before arriving as we got there when the restaurant was just closed.
Breakfast was good and service was excellent.
But yes, you need a car or the use of a taxi that doesn’t mind going up the unpaved slope to get there. But they i form about this when you do the booking; so you are not surprised.
- David (10/5): Beautiful place in a beautiful location. - Beautiful facility and location. Big and comfy rooms and bathrooms. Solid restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Given the distance from town, probably best if you have a car but getting a taxi back and forth is not too bad either.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel in a wonderful place very romantic - Nice experience, great hotel, excellent and kind staff
- Daniel A (10/5): Excelente hotel!.
