• Masterova (10/5): Exceptional resort that gets better with years! Perfect for a peaceful diving holiday - Our history with Wellbeach Dive Resort started back in 2013. We returned here in 2025 and now again in 2026, and we can confidently say that this place only gets better over the years! It is a fantastic resort that offers remarkable value for money, especially for those prioritizing high-quality diving, great service, and a serene, uncrowded atmosphere. ​Pros: ​Accommodations: The rooms have been renovated and are in great condition. Everything felt very clean, cozy, and well-maintained. ​Internet: The Wi-Fi router is located on the second floor of the building, so if you stay on the upper floor, the internet connection is noticeably stronger and works very well. ​Staff & Service: The entire team is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. They truly take care of their guests. Another big plus is the convenient laundry service available directly at the hotel. ​Dining: The food is delicious, with generous portions, and the restaurant staff is very attentive. ​Diving & Safety: The diving experience was absolutely flawless! The logistics were smooth, and the boat crew was highly professional. We especially appreciated that they strictly follow safety standards—there was always an emergency oxygen tank on the boat. We enjoyed wonderful marine life and very relaxed dives. Cons & Suggestions for management: ​Food preparation in the restaurant can be quite slow at times. ​There are no shops within walking distance, so it’s a good idea to bring any necessities with you. ​In the bathroom, there is no bidet/sanitary shower, and the beds only have sheets instead of proper blankets. ​A suggestion for the owner: I was a bit surprised that shore dives cost the exact same as boat dives. As a suggestion, it would be amazing if experienced divers who already know the house reef and have done 2 guided boat dives that day could do a 3rd unguided self-buddy dive on the house reef at a discounted rate. ​Conclusion: For divers looking for the perfect balance of price, comfort, outstanding service, and great diving, Wellbeach remains an exceptional choice. Having visited it for over a decade, we will definitely be back again!

• Heidi (7/5): Nice place on the ocean front - Dive center was very good and they had nitrox for a reasonable extra fee. The food was very good. The room was clean. Bright light all night long need three blankets to block most of it out. When the power goes out they have a backup generator but the flood lights come on inside of your room. Woke me up at 12am. Couldn't really snorkel the ocean was to choppy.

Die Stühle auf dem Balkon waren ohne Auflage etwas unbequem. Im Garten am Pool gab es keine Sonnenschirme oder Bäume, die Schatten spenden könnten.

• Mehrdad (8/5): Nice Hotel, But Needs Better Maintenance and Safet - We stayed at this hotel recently and while it has a lot of potential, there are several areas that need improvement. The property itself is nice and has a good layout, but it’s clear that it hasn’t been well-maintained. The TV in our room was outdated and the air conditioning unit was quite loud, which affected our comfort during the night. One major concern was the pool. Upon check-in, we were asked to sign a waiver to use it, which raised some red flags. Unfortunately, I learned why the hard way. While swimming, I accidentally hit a hidden wall divider in the pool and injured myself. This kind of hazard should either be clearly marked or removed entirely. Guests should at the very least be warned about it beforehand. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously—fixing these issues could really improve the guest experience. Until then, I’d advise future visitors to exercise caution, especially around the pool area.

• Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Had the pleasure of being able to stay at this amazing resort. It’s a bit more quiet and laid back which makes it a perfect place to relax and recharge. The staff is really nice and does an excellent job. The food they cook was very tasty. Not just the Filipino food, but also the Western food was delicious. The rooms are really nice with hot showers, a good bed and a nice aircon. To top this off its a great location for scuba diving at Apo Island and the dive master and crew also deserve some credits. Can recommend to anyone.

Away from busy Dumaguete City but easy scooter ride. - Unobstructed views and direct access to pool and Ocean from rooms 1,2,3,4,5,6. 10 meters to pool, 60 meters to Ocean. Open air resturant is between pool and Ocean. Picture postcard setting. Very Tranquil. Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Dive boats parked in front. Set away from main road at Oceanfront so little noise. Staff can arrange scooters and I rented scooter by the month and I go exploring extensively. Have visited the Philippines regularly for 30 years, married my wife on Mindanao 1995, have stayed at many places, travelled many islands. I wish the bed and room furniture were more comfortable, but this never bothered me in my late 40’s, 50’s. At 65+ now, the problem is likely more me than the furniture.

It was not crowded so we were able to relax, enjoy our privacy and as if we have our own private beach resort. The staff were very friendly, they cater to our needs. Food was amazing too. No sandwich for early departure in the morning, most other resorts in the Philippines offer it. Even refused a banana.... Wifi undetectable for 4 days there. No problem at the 3 other resorts I stayed at in Malapascua, Moal Boal and Siquijor.

• Maecel (8/5): Family vacation - The whole resort was lovely and peaceful. A good place to relax and unwind. Another bonus was that it was near the Malatapay port if you'd like to travel to Apo island. Transportation was also very convenient. Not enough tissues supplied in the toilet for a family room staying for 5 days.
• Van (10/5): Exceptional - The resort is outstanding! We had the best time. Kiddies friendly and so safe. The food was the best i have had in a resort! Compliments to the owners, staff and especially the chef! Grateful for complimentary wifi to guests, but very poor quality wifi. I would also have liked a kettle in room, as we have little ones still on formula at night. It was inconvenient to get a thermos twice a day for hot water for the baby formula.
• Stacey (8/5): - The property is small, quiet, clean and pretty. The owners got quite into gardening during the pandemic and it shows around the property. Plus Marevic, the wife, is really into macro diving which was fun to talk about with her. Just beware they charge for every water refill and other little food item. So while the room and food rates may be low, it does add up. The staff are accommodating and the rooms have nice balconies and views which you can’t see in the pictures. Rugí and Kokoy were our dive guides and they were both quite lovely and knowledgeable. Rugí got very excited over turtles which was fun! Kokoy also had an amazing eye for macro critters. However, the boat crew were something. I don’t think safety is a big concern in the Philippines but they were relatively ok. I did catch them fishing off the boat while we were in Apo Island, a sanctuary with supposedly no fishing. But that may be part of a larger illegal fishing issue in the Philippines, still frustrating to see. Apo is absolutely amazing tho & the coral cover is insane. As someone who mostly dives in the Florida Keys/Caribbean it was unreal to see so much coral. I felt like I was in Finding Nemo. Just don’t expect to see any big fish - I also saw someone else spear fishing while we were in Apo. The muck diving was also amazing and I saw TWO flamboyant cuttlefish! I get to check that off my Overall, it list. Overall I had a nice 4 day dive stay at a comfortable, family owned resort for a great value.

• Marc (9/5): Great little resort - If you travel to Dumaguete, Island of Negros, then this is a great place to stay. You feel safe there. Staff is really good, good owners, good people. Perfect swimming area in front of the hotel and it's very clean and well maintained. I would have like the resort boat to travel to Apo island more.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - We booked a dive and snorkeling trip with this hotel and it was one of our best trips in the Philippines. We had the boat to ourselves. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all of your needs. They arranged a motorbike to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel, completed our laundry in a timely manner and served us great food at their restaurant. The view of the beach was beautiful and the pool was clean.

• frédéric (10/5): Très bien - Charmant petit resort qui donne directement sur une plage sympa. Idéal pour plongeurs car le resort possède son propre club de plongée. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la nourriture très variée, certainement la meilleure de notre séjour aux Philippines. Indispensable par contre de louer des scooters pour se déplacer et voir les multiples attractions autour de Dumaguete. L'hôtel en propose mais beaucoup plus intéressant de les louer à Dumaguete. La nationale qui relie le resort à Dumaguete est assez dangereuse, compter 15, 20 mn de route. Connexion wifi excellente, chambres spacieuses mais basiques côté déco.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Checked into a room located to the side of Dive Shop eqipment and not at all as part of the hotel main therefore the view was none, nothing nice, just the side of the main building. The menu was ok ample to choose from however most of the meals included the main item only for example if you ordered a scnitzel or steak you would get just that and nothing else unless you ordered rice, potatoes, bread etc. This made for meals becoming pricey.

• Martin (10/5): Perfect place to stay for diving in Apo Island! - Lovely place in front of the beach. The staff was lovely and serviceminded, proffesional dive instructor and a nice boat. The acommodation was clean, Good AC but the bed was a bit small in my opinion (queensize) for a couple.

• SVETLANA (10/5): Отель не только для дайверов. - Отдыхали в отеле 4 дня в мате 2017г. Небольшой семейный отель расположен в тихом спокойном месте, недалеко от пос. Дауин. Приехали из Думагетте на автобусе, он остановился прямо у подъездной дороги к отелю. Отель ориентирован на дайверов, имеет свою лодку и необходимое обороудование для погружений. На этой лодке мы (снорклеры) вместе с дайверами плавали на о.Апо, любовались кораллами, рыбками и конечно черепахами. Сноркать так же ездили в пос. Дауин в "санктури марина резервд" там немного кораллов и большое разнообразие рыбок. Для прогулок есть отличный "черный" пляж. В отеле прекрасный ресторан с приемлимыми ценами. Номера удобные, со всем необходимым. Персонал внимательный и отзывчивый.
• Merv (10/5): Look no further - Read the reviews on this place and was a bit skeptical due to the overlong and gushy reports. As it turned out they were right on rhe money. Not only was the price affordable and a bargain for this island it was such a pleasant experience. Guido was a pleasure to dive with, profesional and knowledgeable. His wife Marevic is a National Geographic class type of photographer. She literaly would find the proverbal needle in a haystack if it was underwater. All my facebook friends are amazed at her colorful and beautiful photos of everything from sea horses to nudibranches. Their boat boys deserve special mention. We were diving in some heavy swells and they made entering and exiting the water a breeze. The food was top notch and the kitchen and restaurant staff bright and cheery. It was my first stay of more to come in the future. I highly recommend this resort.
• Wanderlust (6/5): Clean hotel, good for divers - Nice property right on the beach. Good view of Apo Island. Very far from the city but close to place from where you can take boat to Apo Island. The side road to the hotel is horrendeos; we didnt think our tricycle would make it. The food at the restaurant is quite expensive and is passable. Staff are nice but do not have a lot of information. We wanted to book a snorkelling trip right from the hotel but couldn't since they didn't have a lot of people. You are better off staying in dumaguete if you want to go snorkelling. Good for divers though.
• undine (10/5): Schönes Hotel in Strandnähe, auch gut für allein . - Super tauchunterricht, sogar einzelbetreuung. Unmittelbar am Strand.
• Batman (8/5): アポ島ダイビングに最適 - アポ島ダイビングの為に宿泊しました。船で直ぐなので便利。小さなリゾートで、オーナーご夫妻（スイス人＋フィリピン人）はじめ、スタッフ皆感じが良く、気に入りました。設備は最小限、コスト相応、過剰な期待は出来ません。周囲に何も無く食事は毎回ホテルのレストランでしたが、亜・欧州料理中心に色々有り飽きませんでした。カード支払に5％手数料、周囲にATM無いので現金があった方が良いです。行きはドマゲテからトライシクルで400ペソ、帰りは時間があったのでホテルからバス通りまで出て、のんびりジプニーで20ペソ未満。バスもガンガン通りますが満員で乗せてもらえず。ホテルでも足の手配可能で、空港からタクシー900、トライシクル500と言っていました。日本人は皆無、中国・ロシア・欧州人が多かったです。
• THOMAS (10/5): Ausgezeichnetes Dive Resort. Perfekt zum Tauchen - Haben unseren Aufenthalt verlängert weil es so super war.
• THOMAS (10/5): Super Dive Resort - Sehr gutes Preis /Leistungsverhältnis, Super Tauchbasis, sehr entspanntes Tauchen, da nur wenig Leute auf dem Tauchboot, alles perfekt durchorganisiert, reichhaltiges Angebot an gutem Essen, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.
