- Bojana (5/5): The island is amazing and will come again but not to this hotel, sorry. - Staff were kind and helpful to provide information about what to do nearby and a contact for a fishing trip. Stella at the reception was very nice. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell at all times. The whole room would stink if you left the door open.

- _estm_rs2024 (10/5): Great holiday - This hotel, which presents itself as a 4* and is offered by DERTOUR, can be fully recommended. We cannot agree in principle with some reviews that the gastronomic services provided are not up to standard. Food is plentiful and varies slightly throughout the stay. The menu is implemented in the form of a buffet and everyone can choose here according to taste in any quantity. The service is very friendly. The criticism of the lack of cutlery, glassware and china is also not true. From drinks, there are jugs of white and red wine, cans of beer, a barrel of water, cola and orange juice, and coffee for breakfast. For some, it may evoke a school cafeteria, but they've probably never experienced the real thing. It is a soft all inclusive and therefore, only certain drinks such as beer, wine and soft drinks are included in the price. The accommodation is modern rooms equipped in standard hotel style with a small fridge, safe, kettle, hairdryer and a bathtub in the bathroom, which is not usual in 4* hotels in the Czech Republic. Each room has its own balcony overlooking the sea. The only minor problem is the access to the hotel, as it is located on a hill, which the bus is not able to handle after the driveway and therefore stops on the road about 100 m below the hotel. Most of the hotels and bungalows here are located in the hills. The island is quite mountainous, so the limitation of access to the reception is to be expected. The beach here is small with only two rows of umbrellas and sunbeds (they are free, or for a frappé), but it is not fully occupied and the sea ... amazing....

- Tolly (8/5): we asked for a towel in the swimming pool area and they wanted to charge us $5 euro - clean, relatively new, good location and great breakfast staff were not really trained up one particular staff member “Venetia” was super friendly however most staff were simply either family members or friends of family without any customer service skills.
- Y7306XE (10/5): Very good - This is a very nice hotel, located about 8-10 mins outside Myrina. There is a very nice beach just 500m from the hotel. It is an excellent choice if someone does not want to stay in the capital of the island. Breakfast was good. There is also a restaurant but in order to have a dinner, you need to pre-order the food in the morning... this is a little bit weird.

- katerinap514 (4/5): Not a four star hotel - Hoping for good quality we chose this hotel. However it was a disappointing experience. Breakfast had a limited variety of food. Definitely not four star. There was high noise from the air conditioning units which was rather upsetting. It is not so close to the sea so you either need a car or to walk under burning sun in the narrow hilly road which is not so ideal. The rooms were half empty with very few furniture.

The cleanliness - all hotel facilities (breakfast room,pool area and bedrooms) were at very high standards of cleanliness Breakfast - there were lovely , freshly made cheese-pies , spinach pies , variety of omelettes and eggs and all the additional breakfast items for all tastes. The Staff - friendly , smiley , polite and always willing and happy to assist at any request made from the customer , in order to please the customer Location - Perfect location , walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches in Limnos (Agios Ioannis) and sea facing rooms with an amazing sunset and sea view.Only 2km from the main town Myrina and all the other central beaches such as Plati. Hotel Owner/manager - well presented , always available , always assisting and with every attempt to make your holiday as easy and pleasant as possible and the children loved her and the hotel...kids felt happy due to the friendly and beautiful environment - kept all the lawns and all the public areas immaculately clean and with flowers and greenery all around.My kids loved watching the butterflies ...... Rooms - I had a suite sea facing room and it was worth the money you pay.Seldom do I say this as I have had many bad experiences on the Greek Islands and I had one with the previous Hotel in Limnos before finding the Porto Plaza Hotel (photos are nothing like reality & premium prices for low quality accommodations etc) but in this specific case , the suite room is value for money with an unforgettable view and totally spacious , clean and modernly designed. This hotel in general is actually much nicer in reality from its website pictures and offers excellent service and lovely facilities in a top location.If you are also a beach lover than you will fall in love with this place!

- kilania (10/5): Stylish and relaxed for Limnos Island. - Porto Plaza Beach resort is a wonderful property, set near by (2 mins on foot) the beach of Agios Ioannis Kaspakas Lemnos with crystal blue waters. This hotel is fantastic,The setting, the rooms, the food and the service. The most outstanding and memorable feature are the professional and friendly staff & Owners who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast offers an incredibly broad range of options and all excellent quality. However, I would like to see some alternating options in order to add variety during a long stay. For a relaxed, family,friends,romantic and luxurious holiday at Limnos Island , the Porto Plaza hotel is hard to beat.

- nenadvisnjic (6/5): Very good hotel with bad managment - Just came back from my holiday on very beautifull Lemnos. Hotel is located 6km from main city Myrina. It is on a very nice place, on a hill just couple minutes from 2 beaches. Facilities is very good. But, but, but...The hotel realy needs serious managment. Many small complains I have. Food is not so good, almost every day the same choice of meals. I haven't drink a good coup of coffee for 10 days in hotel. Towels were not changed every day, maybe 3 times in 10 days. Some small things that made my impression not so good. And most of my group meant the same.

And considering the island being so windy, its location is so sheltered, the beach is awesome and the sea so glassy at that area.
- billggr (10/5): Better than expected - We picked this hotel based on the reviews of this very site. We were impressed to find more than we hoped. Big and spacious rooms and toilet with a bathtub that looked like they were built last year!!! Spotlessly cleaned every day as if we were just checking in and not already living in there. Excellent super big beds and soft pillows made us enjoy our sleep. The views out of most of the rooms is very nice and the pool looked excellent, although we didn't use it (the beaches in Lemnos are too fabulous to waste any time by the pool). Very friendly staff willing to help any time of the day. The breakfast could be more rich but all the stuff was fresh handmade or freshly baked. The bread was warm out of the oven and delightful for all kinds of consumption. This hotel is definitely worth its money and if I chose to go back to Lemnos I'd go back.
- martinab381 (10/5): Very nice hotel - recommended! - We stayed in this hotel for eleven nights and it is a very nice hotel! The rooms are clean and big. We had some problems (like missing light bulbs, bad smell in the bathroom, etc.) but after we informed the staff they fixed it immediately! The AC is working, but only if you are in the room. There is a little swimming pool at the back next to a bar. The bar does not look until very late, also at the hotel there is nobody after 23:00 at the reception. Otherwise the area is very nice, the breakfast is very great and once something is over, they keep bringing new food from the kitchen. There is a big terrase for sitting outside. The beach is 150-200 meters down . On the way back it is an exercise since it is a hill and could be a little bit tirining if its 40 degrees. Otherwise the beach is quiet and nice. The owner is nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is good - you can walk to Raratogna bar ( 10 min max) and to the other beach there and by car in max 10-15 minutes you are in Myrina. Downsides: The bar does not have a variety - no coctails, no fresh juices, no ice-cream. The walls of the rooms are very thin - you can easily hear your neighbours. When there is strong wind ( as it is the case very often in Limnos) you can hear all the noise in our room - we figured there was some hole that could be fixed. Internet - good at the lobby, no Internet in our room. This could be fixed..
- ff00 (10/5): Highly recommended - For many years I planned to go to Lemnos, but I did not because I could not find a hotel that would satisfy me. Finally, I decided now, based on the reviews that got on Trip Advisor and was thrilled with my choice. If you need to find something negative, is that it is far enough away from Myrina and good beaches, but otherwise this is an excellent hotel. New, large, modern and very comfortable rooms with balconies and beautiful views, very good bathroom, polite staff, beautiful terraces overlooking the sea, AMAZING breakfast, comfortable and not crowded pool with pool bar and ample parking. And all this at very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
- danas188 (6/5): nice hotel, but it doesn,t deserv 4 stars in service - First of all, the location is great for people who are looking for nature and relaxation. There is nothing around that could disturb your peace,no clubs, no restaurants. Also, the view from the balcony is amazing and the rooms are nicely decorated. You get free air condition and you get your room cleaned every day. The hotel belongs to a family that has still a lot to learn about how to run a four stars hotel. First of all, they are not very well organized in the kitchen and coffee is scarce. Also, if it rains,there is not enough space for all the guests to eat inside, so you have to wait for the others to finish eating. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was rather poor in options. Also, the walls of the rooms are really thin and you can hear anything that goes on in the other room. The owners didn't know but very basic english and so we couldn't get any recommandation about what to do on the island. They also shout a lot around the restaurant area and the lobbies,like it was their backyard, with no consideration for the guests. Because of that I think we paid for 4 stars stay, but the service is lower than that, as it usually happens in Greece.
- XristinaT_12 (8/5): Recommented! - This isn't a typical 4 stars hotel of a big chain , this is a family hotel, so maybe it lacks of professionalism in service, as the members of the family do almost everything BUT....This is the most clean hotel I ever been to, the rooms are big, comfortable beds, minimal decoration with pal colors, very close to the beach and with a very nice view.We had a partial sea view room, which was nice (and propably better than the rooms near the swimming pool, yes , we were propably together with the others who said about the screaming children. Breakfast was ok, not something to remember of.I would certainly recommend this hotel to everybody, except the ones who are very picky with service.
- AnneS12342014 (4/5): This is not a 4* hotel - The hotel was clean and most rooms had views to the sea, but this does not make it 4 star. There was no mini bar, slippers, the body wash and shampoo were used and there was no hook to hang the shower rose, nor a simple shower screen. A bottle of water was not even provided. The breakfast was the worst breakfast I have ever had, Everything that was meant to be hot was cold, like the eggs and French toast and those that were meant to be cold was warm, like milk for cereal. Almost inedible. What made it even more unpleasant was the noisy unruly children running around the breakfast area screaming every morning. They list a restaurant and bar as part of the hotel facilities. What a joke. We tried the restaurant one night, there was no menu, only a couple of things available. We ordered pork steak and I believe it was off meat. We could not eat it. The chef was a 1st year student, which is fine, but she was also the waitress and the dish washer. How ridiculous. The hotel is so money hungry, they can't even hire help for the apprentice chef. There was never anyone in the bar to serve a drink and they didn't even have red wine to serve with out dinner. Now, if this warrants 4 stars then there is something wrong with the system of rating. I would never return and never recommend this hotel. It was a miserable experience. Don't waste your money.
- 312578Helen (10/5): Stunning Hotel - We come to Lemnos annually and this is the first time we have stayed in this hotel. The hotel is modern and spacious with great views of the bay. It is very close to the main city Myrina 7 km but there are beachs and tavernas and bars within walking distance. Our rooms were very clean and spacious the staff friendly and extremely accomodating. The bar served delicious cocktails! It is the best hotel in Lemnos and we would definitely stay here again!
- 55graemeb (8/5): Back in time but with mod cons - Porto Plaza is a clean, modern hotel with friendly staff and good facilities; we'd use it again. Lovely sea views from the room and a (steep) two minute walk to both good Ag Ioannis beaches (Blue Flag 2014). Back in time simply refers to the unhurried pace and lack of noisy night-life which I recall from first trips to the Greek islands 39 years ago. In one local taverna, the waiter did not even speak English - and it's not often you can say that these days. The hotel guests reflected the general tourist base - a high proportion of Greeks, some Australians and a smattering of other northern European and English.
- alikh_26 (8/5): Great accomodation in a beautiful island!! - Me & my partner chose this hotel, not caring about the bad critics it has received , because i really liked the look of it! I was pleased to see we were not dissapointed whatsoever from the moment of arrival! The hotel is in a beautiful village located just close enough to lemnos' center, full of beautiful beaches and tranquility. It is family run & even though its design is wonderfully modern, i loved the fact staff & service were not the typical uniform wearing you see in most greek wannabe classy hotels! The rooms were always specless & the breakfast simple but just right! All in all i would deffinetly stay again if i revisit lemnos, porto plaza added the luxury to a traditional, beautiful & romantic getaway!
