- Adonis (1/5): - Hice la reserva y al llegar al lugar resulta que estaba cerrado no me contestaban la llamada y quedé varado en n la noche sin poder acceder al hotel y me tocó a esa hora salir a buscar otro hotel
- Kirti (10/5): - Good Good
- Rick (7/5): -
- McCormick (7/5): -
- Bryan (6/5): Good and not as good - Great owner! Rooms were pretty clean. Motel could use an update. Location is tough next to a noisy road that you can hear all night.
- Markal (1/5): - Not much. There was light bulbs burned out. Mold in the shower. Stopper in the sink wouldn't come up. The light and stopper were fixed. The AC and the lights has dust and dirt on them. The muffins were old hard as a rock.
- Guest (10/5): -
- Michelle L. Phillips (10/5): Wonderfully accommodating Motel - The owner was extremely understanding and accommodating to my changes in schedule. The location was on a busy interstate highway, and there were no crosswalks nearby. This is not an issue with the Property, but rather it's location. Resolution must come with the City of Vernal.
- Kyle (10/5): -
- Joe (9/5): Good hotel for the price - Good hotel for the price. I would stay there again. It's close to the highway, so you do get some traffic noise.
- Nordstrom (9/5): -
- Alexander bancroft (10/5): - The hotel was nice.
- Roger (7/5): This is an older Motel, it was clean and the beds were ok and the air conditioning worked great. - Not what I was expecting. The breakfast was a waffle maker, toast, some apples, milk, and some small muffins. No hot dishes such as eggs or bacon or sausage. We decided to go to JB'S for the breakfast buffet instead.
- Micah (10/5): Friendly, clean rooms, really great soft top pillow mattresses, great value - The manager was very pleasant and upgraded me for free to a double bed so me and my buddy didn't have to sleep in the same bed. Very friendly very quiet and everything was up to par. I will see you next year for sure I like everything. We came into town for a motorcycle rally called too broke for Sturgis and the manager was very polite and professional. The event was literally a half a block away so we could walk. Again don't read the bad reviews because they are crazy it's a great place.
- Guest (5/5): Thank you!!(: - Man up front seemed a little rude at first but ended up being cool, I liked him Sheets kind of dirty
- Ron (10/5): Great staff, great value, would stay here again and again - The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and made my stay more enjoyable
- Andrew (6/5): Adequate for one night - Bathroom is old and worn, hot and cold water is backwards.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Belinda (6/5): - Could not find our reservations so almost did not get a room. The lady at check in worked really hard to find it and then accommodated for us to be on bottom level due to be on motorcycles.
Had to take batteries out of smoke detector at 1:30am.
But over all decent place for a quick overnight.
- Kevin (8/5): - This was a decent place to stay but there was no hot water. The staff was great, quickly accommodating our request to store our ice packs in their freezer. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The inn is on a major highway so it was a bit noisy.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great place! - Great affordable place to stay, service was helpful and provided great recommendations for what to do and eat in town. Definitely will be staying again when I’m back in Vernal.
- Wanda (8/5): Thanks for your extreme kindness! - I didn't like the breakfast, it wasn't much but it worked I think they could work on that but the coffee was good! Thanks!
- Anonymous (9/5): Great stay, amazing staff. - The location was great for us. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was waffles, cereal, toast and more. It was a motel, nothing fancy but what we needed.
- Trujillo (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (1/5): Awful, don't stay. - Room was filthy. Old soda bottles under bed. Sheets so thin. Smelled. Bought spray to help.Bathroom should be demolished. Mold on tiles, disgusting. No shower curtin. RVwas in for repairs so had to stay at a place that allowed pets. They staff was friendly but they need to do some major work on the rooms. See above
- Alicia (8/5): Very good -
- Dreama (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean, staff was friendly. Price was good Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): - Kind staff!
- Chad Gregory (4/5): - Don't waste your money.
Let's start with the positives: the mattress was reasonably comfortable; the mini fridge and microwave worked.
But, the room was not clean. The sheets smelled like I slammed my face into a bowl of clorox and had (what looked like cigarette) holes in them. There was hot water the first night we were there, but not after that. There was only one wash cloth and hand towel.
This place is not worth the money.
- Cheriee (5/5): Passable - Easy to find Mold in bathroom
- antoniojF7662RS (8/5): I was pleasantly surprised - This motel was better than Expected. I was pleasantly surprised. They offered a full breakfast in their cozy breakfast room. The rooms were simple, but clean and smelled good which is important. All cable channels on tv and clean refrigerator and microwave. Convenient location to our work locationGood value for the money.
- Dana (4/5): Dirty - do not recommend - Ability to park right by the door Required $100 CASH deposit on arrival. Very untrusting owner. Room was dirty. Bedspreads, carpet and walls dirty.
- Nyman (8/5): - The proprietor was courteous and attentive. Though dated, the room was clean. The beds and pillows were among the most comfortable we've experienced in more expensive inns.
- Adrienne (6/5): - The man who checked us in was a bit rude, there was a used coffee packet in the coffee maker, and we only had one already half-used roll of toilet paper. Other than that, it was clean.
- Phil (7/5): Good -
- Jack (8/5): - We requested a pet friendly room but Expedia didn't convey that to the motel and all pet rooms were full. Very disappointed with Expedia! You need to make sure that request gets to the motel.
- Juan (8/5): Very good -
- John (3/5): Had better rooms - No waffle mix, stale cereal and pastries. Coffee was hot though. Toilet leaks towels were so thin that you needed two to dry yourself
- Justin (8/5): - The property is a decent value for the price. The breakfast was not very expansive, but it was sufficient.
- Brandi (1/5): Check out is posted by Booking.com at noon they were calling us at 11:15 to get out - The room wasn’t clean when they checked us in all they did was make the bed after we got there. We could not change hotels because they were full due to a hockey game.
Absolutely disgusting
- Suzanne (5/5): OK for a quick stay over. - inexpensive, easy parking, ground level, little fridge worked well. The toilet was extreemly low. Bathroom sink very small. I could hear the noise from the road all night.
- Travis (8/5): - Beds were comfortable, location was easy to find and convenient for our activities the next day. But the weather stripping on the door was missing and sound came through from the main road and startled me awake throughout the night.
- Philemon (7/5): Good -
- Emily (2/5): It was dingy, uncomfortable, gross - Honestly it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly enough. The first bedroom I went in smelled like urine and was not clean. The mirror was filthy, the toilet paper holder is broken, and toilet paper is just on the toilet seat with yellow stains. The second room had a black widow
- Miller (1/5): sucky place to stay, service bad. - price bad service. door lock broken, lights missing, fan in bathroom not working, door had air leaks. said service man would show up, never did. 1/2 parking lot was a lake after rain.
- Spencer (10/5): Great place - Great experience staying in a traditional motel. Reminds me of growing up. The only thing missing was the bed that vibrated if you put a quarter in.
- Gordon (6/5): - The road noise was an issue as it is located on a busy street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We've stayed at the Split Mountain Motel several times for mountain bike races. It's conveniently located and a good price. My only concern was the bathroom was worn out and the shower didn't work well.
- John (8/5): An excellent place to stay - The location was perfect for what we wanted to accomplish. The staff was excellent and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Nothing
- Edward (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jeffrey (7/5): Good -
- Larry (4/5): - Close to main hiway 40 noisy traffic, no toilet paper security lock would not engage
- John (7/5): Good -
- MARK (6/5): - Poor
- Tammy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dan (8/5): Not cheap enough to be worth it - The vent in the bathroom did not work. The shower grout was full of black mold. There were ants in the breakfast buffet room. The room smelled so strongly of lemon scent cleaner it was choking. The toilet seat was very loose. I would not recommend anyone stay here.
- Denise (4/5): - Beds were ok. The bathroom was so dirty. The tiles haven’t been cleaned in a very ling time. Staff had to come into the room and show us how to turn on the shower and flush the toilet. If you need instructions on how to operate the plumbing, it needs to be fixed. There are no additional locks on the door, just the deadbolt.
- Kevin (10/5): great people!! - yummy waffle!! lites dim in bathroom
- Shawna (7/5): Good - Price for room was good. Room was clean. Vernal is great. The unexpected pet fee per night and the unexpected deposit. Booking didn't list either. Staff was condescending when I was surprised. I understand having a fee for a pet, it just wasn't listed anywhere. Larger chains I use also only charge 10 per night where this place charged 25 per night. The deposit was 100 and another surprise.
Again, I undemanding it. It just needs to be told beforehand and not as they're taking your card to charge it an extra 250.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Mold in bathroom walls, stains on rug, food crumbs on box spring along wall. Door wouldn't lock had to get them to fix. Changed a $150 deposit.i paid cash . office would not give me a receipt. Said they would when I check out.
- Jessica (8/5): - Door only had deadbolt option to lock and it didn’t line up so we were unable to deadbolt the door. Otherwise, decent visit, very friendly staff.
- Katelynn (1/5): Never again - Not a thing I liked about the property I booked the room when I got there the owner asked me if I had a pet and I said yes a service dog as she kept pointing at the paper that said $25 pet fee and then she took my car and charged it and then told me I had to stay at a different motel down the street and then told me she wanted my card so she could charge another $100 deposit the room was filthy would never stay again
- Kathy (6/5): Pleasant - We got in late and the lady in the office was very helpful. The facility was right off the main road so easy to access and the traffic noise was minimal. Bathroom sink backed up but not too bad. We were there just long enough to sleep and shower!!
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- Pasquale (5/5): Will not return. - Breakfast Uneatable. Went somewhere else. Rooms were very worn.
- Janet (7/5): Good -
- Carol (8/5): It was very comfortable and quiet, all we really needed. - We did not eat breakfast because I am gluten free so there was nothing I could eat except an apple. If you had hard boiled eggs I could have had two eggs and orange juice and my husband would have had a reasonable good breakfast. A choice of fruit, orange or banana along with apples would be nice.
- Michelle (8/5): - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Cathy (7/5): Good - Reasonably priced.
Clean. There was a gap about 3/4 of an inch under the outside door, allowing dust to blow in easily.
Breakfast room had no coffee or juices. Cereal, waffles, muffins, apples or toast was all that was available.
- David (7/5): Good -
- Indika (6/5): Below average motel - It's just road side motel Bathroom was dirty
- Lacy (7/5): Good -
- Jon (4/5): - Very outdated. We weren’t given enough towels, used coffee filter was left in coffee pot. Breakfast was minimal. We had a room next to a highway and the door had gaps so it was extremely noisy from traffic. We were disappointed that Expedia offered this location.
- Stacie (2/5): - Not a clean environment
- Randy (7/5): Good Value -
- Michael (7/5): Good - Good location It took forever to get hot water
- Janice (9/5): Superb - Clean Head broad broken
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- Kelli (7/5): Too pricey for what this is. It’s dirty. - I was able to book last minute which was nice. The beds were comfortable and linens clean. Bugs in my room, mildew in the shower, water temperature fluctuated during shower, stained furniture and carpet, no bedside table, light didn’t work, bathroom fan didn’t work.
- Brandon (8/5): Great motel! - Property was a pleasant surprise for a roadway motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Fixtures and bathroom were a little dated but the beds were comfortable.
- Randall (2/5): Skip it. - Not much. Just get a place closer in town. Skip this one. Just skip this place. It's in a bad location for traffic noise. Lots of trucks and loud vehicles right where the road speed limit changes. Not close to much. Stay closer in town.
- Brad (3/5): Poor -
- Jordan (2/5): - This place was a total dive. Rejected the first room. Shower looked like someone died in it. Staff barely spoke english. At first tried to act like the shower was fine. I said I needed a refund and they did move me to a different room which was at least reasonably clean although not in great shape. Definitely will never stay there again.
- David (8/5): - Very clean snd friendly.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (3/5): All we had wanted was a clean, simple budget room and unfortunately we were disappointed. - The breakfast was the best part, DIY waffle station was a nice touch. Location is great, easily accessible and easy to find just on the outskirts of town. The first room we were given was filthy. Hairs and a toenail, food crumbs everywhere and broken glass on the floor. Black mouldy tile grout in the bathroom.
The front desk attendant was at first very hesitant to take a look and move us but she did eventually move us to a new room. This one had at least been vacuumed but the sheets and towels were still stained. Upon checking the room before leaving we found exposed nails sticking right up out of the floor under the bed which is terrible, especially as we’re travelling with kids.
- Burgess (3/5): Poor -
- Robert (10/5): - This place for the money was well worth it. The manger was super nice and the continental breakfast was good. If you don’t like fancy motels and just want to sleep and shower, this place is for you.
- Jan (2/5): - A place ready to be demolished. Mold in bathroom. Shredded and dirty bed linnen.
- David (2/5): Very poor -
- Carolyn (3/5): Not worth the money spent! - Nothing The breakfast, cleanliness
- Rob (9/5): Superb - Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean, comfortable, quiet room
- David (5/5): It was good other then the housekeeping needs to have clean bath towels - I didn’t eat it was locked We spent 3 nights an had no housekeeping or clean towels
- Daphne (8/5): - Tej the manager was very nice and accommodating. We had a half marathon and he let us check out half an hour later, which gave us time to shower before we drove home.
- Joshua (4/5): - I don’t complain often, but the state of my room was ridiculous in my opinion. I red reviews online that stated the dirtiness of the rooms but I thought that it was exaggerated, but they were an understatement, at least for my room. The carpet was absolutely filthy, there was gunk all over the walls and trash cans. In the bathroom the walls were covered in hairs from who knows where and there were stains on those walls. All the blankets on both beds were terribly stained all over. I didn’t realize that until I looked over the room the next morning after I slept in the bed. The pillows were very dirty as well. I understand that you get what you pay for but for what I paid and what I received was crazy. There are much better hotels in the area that would be much better for a nights rest.
- Kathy (1/5): Don't stay here - The room looks nothing like the room's picture in the ad desk manager couldn't even find my reservation couldn't speak English to understand anything room next to us was under construction is right next to the highway very noisy no thermostat on the heater so you had to get up and down all night to turn it on and off.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Could be worse, could be better. - The place itself was not horrible for what you are paying for. Only issues with the room was a stained shower, and the bed didn't seem like it had been washed for some time, especially the pillows. At 9 in the morning, two hours before check-out, we were woken up to loud banging and nothing being said. When I finally checked the door, no one was even there. As I said before, check out time is at 11. Yet our cards were deactivated at least an hour before then. So if you are leaving and packing up, be sure to leave your door open a crack to gather the rest of your things because your card will not work. Either way, for one night and the pricing, it could be worse. But there were so many things that seemed off for any kind of motel.
