• Asok (8/5): Very pleasant - Well located. Very clean. Slightly surprised it was an Attic room with a very low, sloping ceiling.
• DAVID (9/5): - Great location only a stroll for a couple pubs and a Sainsbury’s. Very tidy entrance and stairs that led to our room. Our room was very nice and cozy. We didn’t mind having a separate bathroom as we had a sink in the room and enough space in the room for our long weekend. In the evenings, it was lovely and warm. We didn’t hear a thing going on outside or even other people coming and going. Would stay again.
• Yursemphi (5/5): Would go for a different room next time. Budget friendly and great location. It was very clean. - It was at a great location and was neat. Affordable too. Our bedroom was at the loft and my bf kept on banging his head as the ceiling was very low. I didn’t read it properly before booking that our toilet and bathroom were located on the floor below us so it was very inconvenient as all the other rooms were very close by and guests were in and out all the time. I assumed that all places would have en suits as we were only given our dedicated room for use. The walls are very thin and we could hear the boiler very loud or whatever little noise anyone was making. The mattress was not comfortable at all. It felt worn out. However, it’s not their fault about the en suit. As soon as I got the confirmation email, I was told about it but since all the rest of the rooms were booked, I couldn’t get it upgraded.

We had everything we needed on arrival and the owners are very nice and welcoming. The shower was a bit too small for me as i am tall, and the walls are a bit thin but that was the only blip.

• Grzegorczyk (7/5): Good for a short stay - The location was great. The room and bathroom were very clean. The price of the stay was affordable. Easy communication with the host with clear instructions from them and quick replies to questions. They let us check in one hour earlier. The room was inexpensive in comparison with other properties in the area but it was quite small with low beams and low ceiling. It did not have ensuite bathroom or toilet. In fact the toilet was nearly two floors down.
• Alistair (6/5): Not bad - good value for money but a bit of a small room. - Very good location right next to the train station, and a two minute walk from restaurants/pubs. The room was clean and functional. The room was a bit pokey as it had one of those small angled ceilings, for some bizarre reason the heating was on in the middle of summer and was not easy to turn off, and our bathroom was down two flights of stairs.
• Guido Paolo (3/5): Da evitare - Dopo aver prenotato (e pagato) arrivati in struttura non c’era possibilità di entrare in quanto le chiavi erano chiuse nelle canoniche custodie lucchettate e non mi è stato spedito nessun codice. Comincio a chiamare i numeri esposti fuori dal locale ma inutilmente (fuori piove e sono in moto). Dopo ennesima chiamata mi risponde uno degli addetti a cui spiego che sono fuori dal locale e al quale spiego gli estremi della prenotazione ma mi risponde che non c’è nessuna prenotazione e mi butta giù. Lo richiamo spiegando che ho già pagato e che mi sta lasciano sotto la pioggia. Alterato esce dalla struttura e dopo l’isteria più totale dove gli mostro la prenotazione più e più volte mi dà le chiavi e se ne va sbattendomi la porta in faccia e senza darmi spiegazioni su come procedere.Purtroppo avevo già pagato ed essendo sera non avevo possibilità diverse ormai se non rimanere. Dopo anni di Booking mai successa una cosa del genere.
• Rachael (5/5): Disappointing - The room was clean and cosy. Excellent working facilities. Bathroom and toilet were clean with good hot water. Nice towels and toiletries. The bed was lumpy and EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well at all. The Room 3 bathroom needs an external lock. It was used by another guest while I was there - gross. Breakfast was advertised as available but then the manager said that they couldn't provide it. The dining room was locked on my second day so I couldn't use the lounge. The managers were invisible. I never saw them or even spoke to them.

• Steven (8/5): Lovely guest house - We booked through booking dot com and got a last minute special offer. It was for a small double room which was fine for just 2 of us. We were blown away when we arrived early and got told not only could we leave all our luggage right there and then but our small room had been upgraded to a big double room. It was beautiful and clean. With everything you could need including a fan for the warm weather. On suite was really clean . It's just at the top of windermere and a 2 minute walk from booths and train station and loads of cafes and shops. Lovely staff couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely recommend this guest house for anybody visiting windermere. Great price rooms so won't break the bank. Also a short walk to bus stop taking you down into Bowness-on-windermere. Lovely. Tried to get info on parking and early arrival thanks booking dot com and still haven't had a reply. i found the shower a bit small. The parking was not easy in high season as it's street parking and took me half an hour to park and didn't want to move my car afterwards. Road noise was quite loud sometimes.

The room was a really good size. I just need to watch your head for the low ceiling. Toilet not being in the room was not an issue for us. The bed was hard.

• Ben (1/5): Beware: This Hotel Hides Behind Terms and Conditions - NA. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel. After my check-in time was rejected, I immediately rebooked elsewhere, only to be charged for the original booking anyway. The hotel showed no interest in doing the right thing, instead hiding behind terms and conditions to keep my money without providing a service. I urge others not to support a business that prioritizes profits over fair treatment of its customers.

• Anne-lise (6/5): Great Location - Choose the ensuite rooms for more comfort - It the perfect location to start walking around. There are several shops and restaurants around. The train station is really close to the place. It is a clean place. We didn't like that the toilets, the bathroom and the room were not on the same level. We knew the room was not an ensuite but we didn't expect everything to be separated. And that's one of the reason why we thought it was a bit overpriced.

It gave super homely vibes and was quiet cozy The taps, for the sink, were hot and cold separate. A small new mixer would allow, for the mixing of the water and a better temperature for the water overall

• Kashif (1/5): Bad - I was travelling with 2 Friends one was disabled and before booking I was trying to contact the hotel management to enquire what floor the rooms were. I called the land line number provided on bookings.com however there no facility to speak to any one or leave a message (call made around 8pm). Therefore I decided to book to check out the room and floor. Having received the booking confirmation with details and visited the room (on the second floor) I contacted Michele to explain my friends situation to either obtain a room on the ground or first floor or if not possible request a refund and find another room elsewhere. Michele was nice and she agreed that based on our special circumstances she will approve the refund if bookings.com send her an email to approve. Unfortunately, despite a few calls to both bookings.com and Michelle, I discovered that Michelle changed her mind and did not keep her word for a refund. So almost after a month I have not heard back from either bookings.com nor Michelle and unfortunately have not received the refund which she principally agreed despite a non refundable booking. I haven't answered anything else above as I did not stay at the hotel to be able to provide my fair comments. I would recommend the owners not to commit to something they cant keep their word for and giving false hope to guests in the future.
