- Chuck (10/5): - As a party of eight bicyclists, traveling on a budget, this motel met our needs perfectly. The staff were especially accommodating and helpful. Having a restaurant (Gus' Red Hots) next door was a real help.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Okay for the Price - Facility is okay. Windows have built-in blinds but the surrounding property has lights on all night so it looks line it is always daytime when in the room. Parking is limited but the owners had a grassy area next to the hotel for boat parking. Toilets are the small round kind suitable for small children.

- Carl (8/5): affordable - comfy bed, remodeled, large tv with plenty of cable channels, fridge, microwave. Restaurant next door. Close to beach and ferry. Construction guests can be noisy, otherwise pretty quiet.
- Laura (2/5): - When we arrived we were informed they were overbooked and we had no room. I had called earlier that morning to see if we could check in early and the girl I spoke with never said we didn’t have a room available. I had booked the room weeks in advance.We had reserved a cabin for our family. They wanted to relocate us to another property of their’s down the road, but we’ve stayed there before and were not at all interested in staying there again. Needless to say, I was not impressed and had a very hard time finding a place to stay, most hotel/motel were booked full.
- Carl (8/5): Decent for price - Quiet, comfy bed, fridge, microwave, table and chairs, lots of cable channels. Looks to be recently renovated. Good, reasonably priced restaurant next door. Had a greasy handprint on wall above toilet, so cleaning could be better.

- Lubna (2/5): - Very old and dated property. Very bad crowd, bed bugs and insects in the room. Bathroom had mold. Most of the people living there are long term tenants who maybe have bad credit and they live in this Motel for long term. Not recommended at all. We paid and then ended up staying in the car all night due to the fear of bugs.
- Gestion (2/5): - The cabin 134 is absolutly disgusting. The sheets and mattresses are insufficient and full of cigarette burns. The sofa is extremely dirty on the top and inside (there is even a complete cigarette under the cushions). The bathroom sink is full of objects (razor protection and the like), the shower curtain is torn. There were no tissues, towels or soap. The kitchen section is disgusting and dirty. We did not dare to drink tap water. We bitterly regret our choice, it was the cheapest in the area and it was really overpaid for what we got.
- David (2/5): Horrible place!!! - We were looking for a place to stay and saw that there is a cabin so we decided to book it and when we got there, it was already a sleazy motel with people living there and the cabin was shared with others like duplex so already was disappointed then we got in and it looked awful, smelled weird funky and the sink had pieces of old carrots left in there. We tried to get in Wi-Fi but the Wi-Fi signal was so BAD that we couldn’t even get in at all and I had to go to the office to complain not one but twice and the lady wasn’t very helpful and had snooty attitude. So we were stuck without Wi-Fi for the night. Once morning came we BOLTED out so fast and vowed that well we will write a bad review about this. It was the worst place in all of our travels.

Our tour bus arrived back in Montreal much later than anticipated, and my cell provider had no towers in the area, so I could not call to inform the motel. We arrived at 10:30, and the office was closed. We ended up sleeping in our car in a rest area as all other hotels/motels were fully booked.

- Hunter (10/5): Comfy and quaint - Was a quaint comfy cabin to stay in. Place was queit and owners were very freindly and helpful, they even gave me a block of wood to put my kickstand for my motorcycle on. AC worked great and short walk to the city beach and a great restaurant right next door.

- Marissa (4/5): - A/C and location were great. There is no bathroom trash, the floors were dirty, a chunk of hair was in the bathroom, bugs in the shower, spider in the corners, a huge red spill under the bathroom sink. Gross.

No shower curtain, shower drain didn’t work, bathroom recessed fan area was actively being used for a nest by starling’s. refrigerator/ freezer did not work. Wi-Fi was spotty. None of issues was deal breaker but I was happy to leave.

Bed had rollers and floor was not carpet so it kept sliding every time you tried to adjust while sitting up to watch tv it rolled away from wall and could actually cause injury. Especially considering this was a handicap room. If I had trouble without handicaps I can't imagine someone who is using this bed. Shower was amazing though! Beautiful tile, very large and great pressure and shower head. Service was good.

I told the woman at the desk i had to check out because the smell was making me sick and she had me leave my number. She said the manager would call me on Monday. Two days after Monday and no one has called me. 5 nights were charged to me

No coffee, no shampoo or soap.. I paid $140 and it was only worth about the average $80 per night .. Cabin was located basically in a back parking lot of a rundown motel.

The a/c barely functioned, the cold water handle was missing from the bathroom sink.........the list continues.

The other side of the property hosts weekly rate individuals and is unkept and i wouldnt think about leaving my car parked out there. Junkies are all around. Pulled in with 5 buddies on a motorcycle trip and immediately the residents were eyeing our bikes. No thanks we moved on.

- Verified traveler (6/5): RVW Motel - The one thing that stands out is that a gentleman nearby smoked outside the room. That wasn’t pleasant dealing with but aside from that it was quiet and good as an overnight stay.
- David (6/5): Nice but could be better. - Nice but no curtains made let in a lot of light at night and it was hard to sleep. Just blinds on the windows. On the window in the bathroom, I could not figure out how to WORK the blinds. The bed was OK but too soft (really soft) for my liking. The lady was very nice at check-in.

We were travelling with our two golden retrievers, so it was nice to be able to bring them along, and there was a dog park right across the road from the motel. Although the room was clean, and flooringlooked like a fairly recent renovation, the room was rather shabby, with cracked, peeling wood laminate/composite furniture, old appliances. We stayed in a cottage with kitchenette, but there would have been no way to use the kitchen unless you brought along your own utensils, pot or pan, and cleaning supplies(no forks, spoons, cups, glasses,pots,pans, coffee maker or kettle, etc.)No dish soap or dish cloth,etc.

The bathroom was full of guck and dead bugs. I have stayed in cabins in many other areas of Vermont, New Hampshire, and upstate New York, and this was the worst.

- Debbie (2/5): - When we got to our room the bathroom window was open with no screen. There was no lock on the bathroom window when we finally got it closed. The window faced side of an abandoned building and it’s parking lot. The tub was old, scratched up and did not look clean. We did not use it. The bed was ok except the head of it was lower than your feet even with a pillow. It was an awkward sleep. The floors where somewhat sticky. We did not remove our shoes. We were tired and just wanted to sleep and move on in the morning. The electronic lock to the room did not work every time. Also, there was no specific or designated area to walk the dogs. Behind the building was a wooded area where others walked their dogs but no one cleaned up after their dogs. Just a note, we were put in a room that on the outside indicated it was Handicap Accessible. That was the small ramp that went into the room. Inside the room there was no accessibility. Especially in the bathroom.
- Lisa (8/5): - This is a very "you get what you paid for" type place. We started to look at it more like camping, but indoors with a bed, heat and tv. The staff was lovely, and they came to bring new towels every day. No vacuuming or anything in-between and we made our own beds, so I can't speak to their sheets. We did find one towel with a bit of a stain and a shoe print on it that we thought was new, so I would just recommend your own towels. Their sheets were pretty thin as well so we brought pillow cases and our own blankets. They upgraded us for a few extra bucks a night so we could have a kitchenette, which was overall pretty well cared for. The room was pretty big as well, with 2 queen beds in separate rooms, but no couch. We accepted because we wanted the kitchenette though. The bed was a bit soft and lump, but again it was a bed! What more can you ask for for the price? The location is GREAT! Right across from City Beach with a nice little dog park (we brought our dog, $10 extra a night- not bad!) Really close to the ferry to VT and really close to some cool sights and restaurants in Plattsburg. Overall a little run down, but lovely little place to stay if you're prepared for it. :)
- jackie (4/5): - The gentleman running the place is accommodating and pleasant to deal with. With that being said...this place is still to expensive for the cleanliness and quality of the room. It is very obvious housekeeping is an absolute minimum...and the place was essentially filthy. Also...Check The damned windows. I found both of the windows to be positioned in such a manner that even though they were locked...they were not latched and anyone could have opened them from the very dark and desolate parking lot on that side of the building. i do not think it was an accident that both of them were positioned like that.

My only real complaint is that there wasn't a chair(s) in the room to sit on. Huge bonus, being next door to Gus's Red Hots for breakfast and lunch. Awesome food!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not my smartest choice - This is an old motel which is apparently being re-furbished. I stayed in a small room with a queen size bed (and thin pillows), a desk with chair, fridge with freezer shelf, microwave, and a dresser, wall-mounted TV and a small bathroom. The furniture was well worn, as was the mattress. The room had a stale smell and a very dirty carpet. The small bathroom had a shower with slow drain. The limited TV channels all had a fuzzy picture. This motel does not serve breakfast. Upon check-out, the owner apologized for the dirty carpet and informed me that other rooms closer to the street have already been upgraded, including clean carpet.

- David (4/5): Ooof - I read the other reviews and thought this place wouldn’t be that bad I knew it was a cheap place but I guess I didn’t realize how dirty it was going to be. My tub had cracks in it the floors had stains and there was a hole in the wall in my room. I didn’t feel safe because the windows didn’t lock. Next time I’ll pony up the extra $30 and stay someplace else. I think it may be under construction so if you’re reading this a year after I wrote this review maybe it’s OK now. The people at the front desk were very nice.

Wi-Fi was not offering to us and we find out when we left. No coffee maker in the room..... Carpet on the room, oh god!!! 😔
