Guest Reviews

- Viktoria (10/5): Extraordinary! - Beautiful small private cottages with a glimpse of typical Sardinian culture in the middle of the nature! The cottage was clean, equipped with a/c, fridge and small snacks for breakfast were included. Highly recommend!
- Nikola (10/5): Would have liked to stay longer! - Very special place - rustic yet very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Among all the peace and quiet, one can hear the barking sheep dogs across the valley.
- Sandeep (9/5): Superb -
- Will (2/5): Very poor - The huts have beautiful views, and very peaceful. This was advertised as a 4-star hotel, and I expected facilities to match that. However, there was nobody to greet us when we arrived, no restaurant, so we had to purchase the expensive picnic.
We ended up heating up our own food in a microwave and eating on the bed, since there was not a table. Overall extremely disappointing. The advertising should be changed to reflect that this is not a hotel, and make it clear there are very limited food options nearby.
- Azin (9/5): Superb -
- Kristen (9/5): Learning about the way the nuraghi people lived was incredible! The view was exceptional! - I absolutely loved the authentic experience of the native culture! The beds were a bit hard & there was no hot water when we visited!
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful scenery - Wonderful stay in rustic surroundings. Average service as there was self check in and out, so I didn't interact with any service at all.
- Luciano (9/5): Superb -
- Kasper (10/5): Exceptional - Super authentic place. Easy communication with host
- Jordan (9/5): Cool but hot - The energy, very grounding The AC didn’t work as expected, didn’t cool
- Spiri19 (10/5): Authentic and quiet place to stay - We loved our stay at the small huts. They are decorated in a rustically style, are clean and comfortable and smell nice (each room has another smell).
The breakfast is a delicious vegetarian breakfast, with a high many choices, comprising tasty locally grown vegetables, bread, pastries, cheese and very good olives and spreads. We could hardly wait for breakfast in the morning :-)
The area is so nice and quiet, away from the noisy tourist traps while still being 10 minutes drive from the nearest shore. The beach is in a protected area so its dunes has vegetation growing. We were there in May and the beach was nearly empty. It was one of the best and most natural (wild) beaches we saw in Sardinia.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The area is amazing, the breakfast great and the staff friendly. Unfortunately we had allergies to dust mites in the facility and were not provided with any sort of response signaling that the staff would take measures to even check for dust mites or deep clean the facility in response to our feedback. We had breathing issues and had to leave (it only happened in the room, and to several of us).
- Letícia (7/5): Good - Traditional & authentic intent, peaceful place, fresh breakfast Bed & facilities not comfortable, very basic
- Kristóf (8/5): Very good - The service was really friendly, and the round houses were great. The several separated relaxation zones were good, though they need some more work. The pre-ordered vegeterian dinners were exeptionally great.
- Ariel (10/5): Wonderful and unique stay in Sardinia - Essenza was the most unique of our stays in Sardinia. The property was so relaxing and beautiful and a great place to just hang out and enjoy nature. Our room was very charming and had an old world feel to it. The breakfast was really lovely and the room that we had in it was special in itself. We also had a wonderful massage in their garden patio. The drive up the hill was anxiety inducing
- Caroline (7/5): Dissappointing - peaceful quiet location on the side of a hill. Nice breakfast No feeling of welcome when we got there. We were the only people around and had been warned that no one would be there to greet us. However it took time to find our hut. Through a misunderstanding we didn’t order any food so had to go to the local town fora very disappointing meal. The hut was small and not well lit for reading at night. We felt happier meeting a nice young girl the next morning who gave us a nice breakfast.
Very expensive for what it actually provided
- Lucy (9/5): Beautiful little hobbity house. Excellent location. - Stunning location. Beautiful views and a lovely cosy room. Something really different. Breakfast was delicious and was the first place in Sardinia where we could get vegan/vegetarian options with ease. As there is no restaurant on site or anywhere nearby, we would have really appreciated a kettle and tea/coffee in our rooms. It was a bit chilly in April and a hot drink would have been lovely.
- Corina (9/5): Very unique accommodation! - The view was amazing!
The hostess was nice and welcoming.
The accommodation was unique and very special.
Good breakfast (you can notice many small details like the tissues/teapot from the table are the same matching room color).
I recommend visiting Spiaggia di Porto Ainu, it's very close and nicer than other overrated beaches. - the mattress wasn't soft
- even if it had a nice terrace, we couldn’t enjoy having dinner outside as there were many hornets
- Constantin (10/5): Exceptional - most magical place in all Sardenia
- Sorin (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terje (2/5): Very poor -
