Guest Reviews
- Brian (4/5): Money before service - I use to stay at this place and has rated it top all the time, service were normal on top but things has changed.
As a VIP customer I will upon arrival receive a bottle of wine, as a compulsory gift. I forgot it but the hotel check in review reminded me. I looked around in the room but did only see one small bottle red wine on the kitchen table and one white in the fridge. To be sure I would to the hotel, who wrote back it was on the counter or in the fridge. Nothing about what kind it was.
After two days I opened the red wine, which was undrinkable.
At check out I was asked any use of minibar, which I answered no but that I took the wine as instructed by the message from the hotel.
I was clearly told, it was not that bottle, it should be white wine and a special one indeed. I had to pay for the one opened and then I could get the compulsory white wine bottle with me, which I declined as I was leaving.
This behaviour leaves me with a bitter taste and I will not recommend the MAS apartment hotel to others, as I normally have done over the last three years.
It was more important to get the price for the small bottle of wine that to give the customer service they were writing to me to have.
- X8725MEbrianr (2/5): Hotel not fulfilling its compulsory obligations - I use to stay at this place and has rated it top all the time, service were normal on top but things has changed.

- Alun (8/5): Good stay - Excellent stay with really good staff. One downside was an odd shower with seemingly no obvious way of knowing what was hot as seemed opposite way to rest of taps and took ages to get hot. Huge apartment mind!
- AndrejaSZ (8/5): Recommended - Extremely spacious room, clean, friendly staff, which immediately reacts in the event of any need. The only thing is slightly old equipment, particularly in the bathroom. Very well located, close to European institutions and near to a shop.
- JuaneleX (10/5): Super comfortable and friendly - We spent a weekend in Brussels and we decided to stay in MAS Aparthotel.
The experience was really good: impeccable service, very friendly staff, very wide rooms, very complete breakfast delivered directly to our room, very quiet neighborhood, etc.
It felt like being at home but with the comfort and amenities of staying at a boutique hotel.
Furthermore, the location is very centric and close to many of the highlights of the city.
We really recommend MAS for romantic weekends, business trips or longer stays.
- SAMUEL (8/5): - The property was spacious, this was a big plus. It was also on a quiet street, but not far away from the main road.
Unfortunately I didn't receive the free upgrade I was promised on the phone, but the stay was still very pleasant.
- ndongisilaflorentp (8/5): Excellent - Very nice place to stay.
Very much appreciated.
Very good value for money.
It is nicely located.
The staff have been very helpful and kind.
I have already recommended the place to my friends and family.
It is really a very lovely place to stay.
I will for sure book it in the future.
- MathewM404 (10/5): Great stay at MAS Aparthotel EU - MAS Aparthotel EU exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring a seamless and comfortable stay. The facilities were modern, clean, and well-maintained, offering everything needed for both short and long-term stays. The location is absolutely ideal, with convenient access to key landmarks, public transport, and local amenities. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel provides a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I highly recommend MAS Aparthotel EU to anyone visiting the area.
- Angi-Endre (10/5): Business trip to Brussels - I usually stay here when I travel to Brussels. The location is great, close to the city center and Place de Schuman and there is also a grocery store not far away.
Always helpful and polite staff, smooth check-in and check-out, very good place to stay when on business trip to Brussels.
- 659juanvictorm (8/5): I have been a customer of MAS Residence for over 20 years and I have never been disappointed.pointed. - Excellent, comfortable and very spacious appartments, nicely decorated and with views on the inner city block gardens. Very good location for those visiting EU institutions and easy metro ride to central Brussels neighborhoods. Very quiet and with a number of good restaurants at walking distance.
Very easy and proffesional reservation system and very helpful and efficient multilingual staff.
- PGO1961 (10/5): Great hotel in the Brussels EU area - I have stayed many times at the MAS Aparthotel EU, and each time I am very happy with the size (even the "small" studios), cleanliness, the speed of the wifi and even the lighting in the rooms. All the staff I have been in contact with (reception, breakfast, cleaners) are friendly and helpful.
- silvernomadUK (10/5): Good place to stay in Brussels - Great place to stay on edge of European quarter. Very quiet. Spacious room. Good facilities. Easy to self cater. Easy walking distance to parks, shops, restaurants and well connected to metro and bus routes. Short walk to tourist destinations.
- 184antoniojp (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - Everything wonderful, the location unbeatable and very well connected, the room spectacular and very comfortable, the cleanliness and hygiene is top, the decoration of a magazine, the staff very helpful and friendly. The only criticism is to myself for not staying more days... I'll be back for sure.
- terianas2024 (2/5): Never again - Don’t be fooled like me by very nice pictures! In fact, I got a very cold place in a basement (!!!) with freezing floor. The heater worked 24/7 but it was not enough to make this space a bit warmer. To feel worm we had to put on winter jackets inside. Definitely do not recommend! For this price you will find many other normal places which are not cheating customers
- TSUYOSHI (10/5): - 素敵な部屋でした。キッチンもちゃんとしていて料理を普通に作れます。
- 890mihaelao (10/5): Perfect choice for a visit in the heart of EU! - Perfectly located (close to main train station and EU buildings), quiet and safe neighborhood, spacious and clean apartment, fully equipped with a very helpful and polite staff! Everything I needed for a visit in the heart of EU!
- Guide230358 (10/5): Long weekend in Brussels 🍻 - Staff very friendly, location was perfect. Not far away from places of interest and far enough away it was nice and quiet at night. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in shower. Highly recommended great stay in Brussels.
- Andrew (10/5): - Big room
- Fabian (10/5): Location, confort at a fair price - Fantastic place in Brussels. Conveniently located near metro stations, restaurants, and supermarkets. The house is renovated and features comfortable suites. The staff is friendly and helpful. Area is quiet and peaceful.
- LYDIE (10/5): - Notre sejour a ete tres agreable. L'emplacement est ideal. Attention en revanche a bien reserver une place de parking!
Le personnel est vraiment disponible, courtois et souriant. Je recommande l'établissement sans hesitation.
- laura (10/5): - Nuova, pulita, silenziosa.
- Brian (10/5): Excellent place and good service - I am not happy to recommend this place as it might be fully booked next time I will have to go to Brussels. However, I have to be fair. Very cozy and nice place that is highly recommended. I got a room that I was not that happy with but they change it to my full satiesfaction. When I go again, this will be my 100% preferred place to stay. I will even recommend it to my colleagues and friends.
- Mei Hong (8/5): - Check in and out was smooth. Close to transportation. There unpatch hole near the light in bathroom.
Because property business district you would have to travel a bit to find food especially Saturday and Sundays.
- Andrea (10/5): - We enjoyed our trip to Brussels.
- William (8/5): - The room was essentially a furnished one room apartment. It has a separate kitchen down a little stairs that is furnished with pots and dishes. Shower is separate room from the toilette. We were only there overnight but would be a great place to stay for a week or more where you could save some money by cooking some of your meals.
- James (10/5): - A wonderful apartment hotel! We had breakfast every morning in our room, which was spacious and airy, as well as a few dinners. Interesting section of Brussels--St Josse is a real neighborhood, not a tourist fabrication.
- Andrea (10/5): Beautiful building - Gorgeous apartment!
- Cristina (10/5): - Very well located quiet and elegant hotel.
- Daigo (2/5): Below average hotel, misleading room pictures - A below average, tired looking apartment-hotel. Be wary as you may get allocated a room that isn’t the one you booked and which looks markedly different to the pictures on their website.
We booked the ‘business suite with kitchenette’ via Mas ApartHotels listing on hotels dot com. Of the 8 pictures, not a single 1 of the 8 photographs depicted our room. We got an inkling things weren’t quite right when we checked in and were led back out onto the street to the building next door. On the 3rd floor, we found our room to be no more than 40 square metres at best (advertised at 45), which would have been fine if it hadn’t been so tired looking, dirty and in need of modernisation (see pictures).
After deciding to complain (which I rarely do) I was met with a condescending, unapologetic tone from the receptionist (named Lorena). Apparently, the website pictures were of the ‘modern’ rooms and we had been allocated a ‘classic’ room in an older building next door. She stated that the hotel had no control over the pictures on their hotels dot com listing and that is why the picture of this older room had been omitted. An outright lie - as hotel owners are fully in charge of which pictures appear on their hotels dot com listing.
I hope after reading this, the management decide to add the actual pictures of this room to their listing on hotels dot com and be more honest to customers about which room they might be allocated before they book. I’d much rather have not written this review
- Dimitrios (8/5): - Easy access to the area where my meetings took place. Spacious rooms. No dining area in the hotel. Required to pay extra to check in 30 minutes before the "official" check-in time.
- Tyrus (10/5): - This was a lovely apartment in a quiet area. We enjoyed the North African restaurant down the street. The management was very friendly and helpful.
- Oleg (8/5): Nice hotel in the city center -
As a Gold exclusives member, I had an early check-in 10 a.m for an additional fee of 10 euros and a free 200 ml bottle of white wine.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was fantastic, location, area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great, modern well-equipped apartment. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fantastic space, clean and very comfortable bed, reception open 0730 to midnight. But there was nothing (jug or cafetiere) in my kitchen to make coffee, and the shower room radiator wasn't working.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay in MAS Aparthotel. The room was very large and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Well situated for those visiting the European Quarter, MAS Residence offers well-appointed suites that are clean and well stocked.
- Pavel (6/5): Spacious room, service to be improved - Spacious room, but service bad: there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night, nobody cared to tell us if it is true or fals....
And I was not ofered as VIP guest the breakfast discount.
- Cristina (10/5): - Very cosy and comfortable hotel in a quiet area, with professional staff. I especially appreciate the tasteful design.
- Lisa (8/5): Nice room, but can hear noise from other guests - My paid reservation was for room with kitchenette. I did not get that type of room. The
One can hear people walking in the room upstairs, climbing the staircase to the room upstairs and occasional
Plumbing noises.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not Bad choice - overall ok... loft with a kitchen so you can cook... not comfortable small bed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Big room, high beautiful ceilings. Well maintained. Perfect
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay, very close to central area. Very large room with a kitchen
- Verified traveler (10/5): Brussels visit - We lived our stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): Leaky aircon - The air con was badly leaking and after numerous complaints we were asked to change the room at the middle of the night. We have a 3 month old baby so we refused. They didn’t get it repairs all for 3 days
- Evan (8/5): - The staff told us that there is no free parking in Brussels, and recommended parking with the hotel. Yet did not tell us about night is free. We explain we want to spend the next day touring the city, but the staff did not explain to us there needs to be extra cost for the hotel parking. We later see free parking near city center the next day. It would be like 10-20 Euro difference which is fine, but felt this could be improved.
- Robert (10/5): - Awesome. Great kitchen and lots of extras. Everyone who worked there was first class.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room for three was super spacious. We loved the kitchenette and strong wifi as well. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was super nice with hot water and a tub! Staff was professional and friendly. I would stay here again. Great for families.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Big room, clean, quiet neighborhood although in the midst of EU ,close to metro,. Everything was just perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great historical character with good layout with kitchenette.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel.
- Denise (10/5): Clean, spacious, great value for your money - Check-in was smooth. Staff was friendly. We had a studio-like suite with kitchen, sofa, TV, and dining table. Outside garden area as well. Very clean and spacious. Could use a fan, as it was quite stuffy and keeping the garden door open with no screen only let in bugs. The area is not the best, but you are not far from the Grand Place and tons of restaurants and bars...only about a 20-minute walk. The nearby "La Mamma" restaurant is a few blocks away and a must. It has the most delicious, authentic Italian food.
- Chris (8/5): Great base for short stay - Great place to stay close to city centre. Very quiet room.
- Fernando (10/5): Don’t hesitate. Book it! - Once again, second visit confirms this place is GREAT! Recommended!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was lovely and the room was wonderful however we chose MAS Residence not just on price and rating but because it stated that there was a washing machine - we're travelling for a number of weeks. Our apartment didn't have a washing machine and when we queried this with reception we were advised that some apartments had washing machines but not all and ours didn't. We were advised that we couldn't be moved. The apartment, as mentioned was great but ensure that it includes exactly what you want and are paying for, when you book.
- Kayla (10/5): - Everyone at the office was very nice and helpful. Every time we had a question, they provided an immediate answer and were so kind.
The location is fantastic, a SHORT! walk to the metro system, and only about a 20 minute leisurely walk to Grand Place. There's a beautiful park and international embassy district mere blocks away. We will definitely stay here agin on our next trip to Belgium.
- Fernando (10/5): Quality, spacious, modern and welcoming ! - A gem in the EU Affairs area, close to shopping areas. On arrival, we were treated like VIPs and a room upgrade was quickly made possible, taking us from large studio to flat with garden. Well worth the modest extra! well furnished and spacious, we enjoyed breakfast in a very large kitchen table with a huge garden. Has now become our 'go to Brussels' location - recommended !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent place to stay when in Brussels. Helpfulness of well-managed hotel, complete with personal touch - but convenience of having an apartment with kitchen etc. Spotlessly clean. Very well situated for EU district, main tourist sites and beautiful urban parks. Good restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Thank you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice appartment in a traditional Brussels building in a convenient location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very spacious even has a kitchen. It is ideal for a family to stay. About 15mins walk to the Great Place , key tourist areas , and central station. Few mins walk to metro. Very convenient. Love it and will come back again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent, 5/5
Room was large, spacious and really quiet. Much nicer than the picture showed!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice room with everything we needed. Only a few minutes walk from the station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent staff, spacious and clean property. They need to update the bed. It is not comfortable at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location. Excellent service. Internet was very good. Optional breakfast was served to our room for a very small price and it was well worth it. Ceiling height is well over 12 feet (very grand).
- Carlos (8/5): great value for money - Very spacious room/suit with small kitchen, and TV corner with sofas. Very quiet despite being close to a very busy street. Very friendly and helpful staff!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Need to remember to bring shampoo! Otherwise v good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Spacious apartment, nice reception. - We came in really late, at 9.30pm. The receptionist, Martha, was very nice, patient, and helpful to show us to the door of the parking lot, and then to the door of our apartment. The apartment was spacious, complete kitchen, large bathroom, all are clean. I love the windows to the front and back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Superb - European parliament area, close to metro, fantastic amenities, highly recommended
- Angelina (8/5): Very comfortable clean apartment - Very helpful staff gave us the largest apartment but due to stairs we asked to change to a more suitable one near the lift nothing was too much trouble helped with luggage as my husband has walking difficulties we love this hotel and will always book if available
However on this occasion the hot water was not working I tried running the water for at least 15 mins and still cold but it was a one night stay but still a little inconvenient will not let this matter stop us from returning again
- Michael (10/5): - Wonderful property in a great location. We were in town for the Belgian Beer Weekend, and with the property being only .6 miles from the Grand Place, we simply walked over to the event and back. Later that evening we walked down to the Cinquantenaire and enjoyed the live music and Hungarian festival (the HUNGAasRY). The location, combined with the modern rooms and friendly and attentive staff, made for a wonderful weekend. Highly recommended!
- Arun (10/5): Top Apartment!! - Our stay at MAS residence was great! We were provided with the Penthouse Apartment, which is located in the building next door to the building where you check in to reception. The room was as described and contained a kitchen/living area, bedroom area and bathroom. As we were on the top floor, and the only room on the floor, we didn’t hear any noise from other residents.
The location of the apartment is good, as it’s about 15/20 mins walk from the city centre. The local supermarket is about 5 mins walk away.
- Catherine (10/5): Great location, lovely staff - We were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful member of staff who explained everything to us clearly and showed us to our room. We requested a bath but were also given a terrace, which was a really nice addition. The room was spacious and extremely quiet, and having a kitchenette was perfect. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking around Brussels, but also very close to a main train station and handy metro stations. We would definitely stay again - thanks!
- jeffrey (10/5): Comfortable. - Comfortable, safe neighborhood, near grocery store and a few restsurants. 20 min walk to center of town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hotel in all aspects. I don't jave any complaints. Friendly and accomodating staff, beautiful property.
- Stella (10/5): - Convenient location, walkable distance to the city center. Our apartment had a kitchen. We also used hotel parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - So much space! Also, within walking distance to the transit lines.
- Vladimir (10/5): Holiday in Belgium to remember - Our family (my wife, 20 year old son and me) have stayed in MAS Residence for 7 days and all of us share the same impresion about our apartment. We find it excellent, spacious, very clean, with excellent wifi and service and well equiped. Room service (cleaning, changing towels) is organised on daily basis. Location of apartment is in the heart of euro quartier which means it is close to all places of european bureaucracy, and it is on walking distance from Grand Place and Brussel Central train station what was where important to us. Brussel is fine city to visit and we also have managed to visit many other places in Belgium during our holiday - Pairi Daiza in Combron-Caustau, Han-sur-Lesse, Waterloo, Ypres, Gent and Brugge thanks to superb Belgian railway service.
- lwjean (10/5): - Great location, wonderful staff, highly recommend!
- Mickey (4/5): How could this hotel rated 4.7/5????? - Expedia VIP ACCESS Hotel and rated 4.7/5 ??? must be a Joke
bad smell, noisy floor, no air conditioning, dark.
We checked in a room at the first floor, and couldn't stand for its condition end up forget about this CAD$210 and moved to anther hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly clean lovely, and super close to EU DEVC - Very good communications (except for charges for printing out documents that didn't inform when made request.
Otherwise a super friendly and helpful staff --- nice spacious modern rooms
- Sven (10/5): Spacious room with fast wifi - Very spacious room with fast wifi and conveniently located to the European Commission offices
- Derek (10/5): - Great space and wonderful location. Clean and large room. Wonderful pricing on the weekend. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Very nice hotel with reasonable price. Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, comfortable room.
- Scot (8/5): A good place to stay if you have work in the area - It was just overnight and I had to leave early the next morning so it was affordable and a quiet neighborhood in Brussels. Breakfast the next morning was excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice experience - Close to attractions, kichenette a big plus. Nothing more to say.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great! You should stay here. - Amazing! Highly recommended. Front desk staff is super nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Quiet and peaceful. Wifi excellent.
- Gordon (10/5): Great hotel with warm reception and nice amenities - My wife and I stayed here when we came through on, what was meant to be, a 24 hour layover. Unfortunately, bad weather and increasingly despotic Airline service forced us to arrive later than expected so we got into Brussels and made our way to MAS residences around 11:30. Upon arriving, we tried to get food but found that almost nothing was open. The hotel concierge was extremely helpful and tried to get us in touch with some take out places that might have been open on a weekend. Also unfortunately, it being a Monday, we were forced to eat snacks and drink beer from the minibar until morning. I know, life is tough. Well, despite getting not as much time as we thought we would have to enjoy our stay in MAS residences and enjoy Brussels, everything was very good. The surrounding area around the hotel reads like a financial district where the cities movers and shakers live and work. I'm sure there are good restaurants in the area but we didn't have time to take advantage of them.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and Roomy - Thought the staff was very helpful and even showed around the hotel and to my room which makes you feel at home quickly. The room itself was very large and had everything you needed. The room was clean, comfortable and updated. The wifi was excellent. I would highly recommend especially to business travelers.
- Rodi (10/5): Very nice place - From arrival the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was big, very clean and quiet.
- Rodolfo (10/5): Nice hotel close to city center - Our stay at the MAS Residence was excellent. Room was beautiful and always impeccable. It is just 3 stops from city center by line 1 or 5. However, there is like a 1/2 mile walkfrom the metro stop to the property, but if you come to Europe you gonna walk a lot anyways! The staff was phenomenal and they are always willing to give directions and recommendations whenever you need them. I'm a Travel Agent and I would definitely recommend this property to my clients!
- Peter (10/5): Perfect place to call home during an EU meeting - Five day business meeting in Brussels. This was the perfect apartment in the European Parliamentary area. Loved having a kitchen and place to call home for the week
- Anthony (10/5): Wonderful Apart-Hotel in the center of Brussels. - This Apart-Hotel is excellent as usual. My stay here is always a great experience.
- Catherine (10/5): Great Value Near All the Major Sites - Really nice. Our room was a spacious studio apartment.
- Yuri (10/5): Best Hotel in Brussels. Period. - I would like to avoid the crowds of tourists the next time I come here again, but I still have to say this -— I recommend this hotel to everyone, and especially families with children.
- Paul (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room.
- Leonard (10/5): Clean, comfortable and spacious at a great price! - We walked through an old neighborhood to get there and became apprehensive that the hotel might might end up nice in a relative sense only ( we referred to the ratings when booking). We forgot Europe looks old on the outside but is sometimes overhauled on the inside.
The hotel is situated at one of the many points where old meets new in Brussels. This place is great and I'm happy to refer anyone considering it to grab it.
- Kevin (8/5): Loved it, would stay again! A few fixes in order. - We really enjoyed our stay at MAS residence, an excellent location and the kitchenette was a blessing for saving costs eating out. The unit was huge, lots of space, superb! It seems some maintenance may be in order, although not crucial to us it would be a shame to see others be put off on their visit. We found the following...
1. Sink stopper didnt work well in kitchen. Coupled with tiny hot water tank you would have no hot water to wash dishes after about 1 minute .
2. Shower glass was loose and could possibly be a hazard.
3. Microwave was spotty. Worked heating up water, but not solid food. Very noisy (bad fan).
4. While the unit was clean (bedding, counters, furniture, walls, bathroom) the floors were very dirty. Without shoes on your feet and/or socks were dirty in no time.
Please dont take above as a reason not to stay. Staff was attentive and I think they will fix upon reading this.
