The breakfast provided was one of the best I’ve had; they provide numerous breads, cereals, fruit, meat and cheese and also have a full menu of items cooked to order. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the room quiet. It is located just a couple of minutes walk from the Palace and many restaurants and shops. A very nice place to stay in Split!

• E5746JTsarahg (10/5): Outstanding Hotel and setbicr - This is an outstanding small boutique hotel. The location is perfect with just a 5 minute walk into Split. We had a beautiful room and shower room with all you could want. The breakfast choice was amazing and very plentiful. Outside there is a shady courtyard and pool and comfortable chairs. We were given fresh watermelon and blueberries. There was also cold drinks and suntan lotion left out. What the traveller should know is how great all the Staff, managed by Maria,are. There was nothing which was too much trouble. The attention to detail and kindness was exemplary. Any problems will always be sorted out and recommendations for where to visit and eat are made and booked when necessary. This has been one of the best places we have stayed. Thank you Maria for looking after us.

It was decorated tastefully and had everything we required. The rooms are compact but fitted with everything you really need. There is a nice sitting room you are made welcome to use and the area around the pool is decked out comfortably The standard room was just a little small we would definitely stay again but choose a larger suite

From walking through the door, until we left for the airport, the service from Maria, Dea and Zeyka was the best we have ever had from a hotel. The warm welcome and suggestions for where to eat and visit were superb. Nothing was too much trouble, and we quickly felt part of the family, even to trying out fresh homemade cakes before they were served at breakfast. Breakfast was a fantastic spread and set you up for the day. The rooms were modern and clean and the service by the housekeeping team first rate. It’s hard to capture how brilliant the experience was staying at this hotel…suffice to say Maria and her team made us feel very special and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Although brief, every aspect of the experience reflected a level of care and refinement that is increasingly rare. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. Marija Tabak, the General Manager, sets the tone for the entire property. Her presence is both gracious and attentive, and she clearly takes great pride in delivering thoughtful, personalized service. That sense of care remained consistent throughout our stay, even as we departed and were kindly seen off with a warm farewell. The property itself is elegant and quietly sophisticated, with a refined aesthetic that feels intentional and well curated. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, with high quality linens and a well appointed bathroom featuring excellent soaps and lotions that added to the overall sense of luxury. Breakfast was another highlight. It was beautifully presented and of outstanding quality, offering a calm and enjoyable start to the day. Splendida Palace is a place where attention to detail and genuine hospitality come together seamlessly. It is a standout in Split, and I would gladly return.

The breakfast was phenomenal- a large of items cooked to order and then a wonderful choice of fruit, cold meats and pastries. Good coffee too! We didn’t need lunch after the wonderful breakfast. Location is good - just outside the city walls up a quiet back street. It took us less than 10 minutes into the old town. A big bonus is the free parking almost opposite the hotel - but if you are driving, it’s an area best for small cars as the streets approaching are very narrow. Nothing

The staff, especially Maria and Dea, could not do enough for you. They both were gracious and charming. The room was very clean and the bathroom in particular was outstanding with top of the line sink, shower, etc. Nothing related to the hotel. The location of the hotel and the walk from the hotel to Old Town, while only about five to seven minutes, is dirty and unsavory. The hotel loses some of its charm only for something they cannot control.

Our welcome from Maria on our arrival was lovely and warm, so we knew we were going to have a wonderful 3 night stay here. Our room was very good and catered for all our needs. The breakfasts were beautiful from fresh fruit, pastries to eggs and omelettes it was so well presented and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel is a 10-15 minute stroll to the historic centre and the harbour. Thank you to all at Splendida Palace we want to come back.

We were greeted in a wonderful way by a very nice and service-minded lady The rooms were lovely and the bathrooms great! There was incredibly good service all the way! We got great tips and advice on where to eat and since we left very early the next day, they sent us a huge packed lunch on the way to the airport.! Absolutely great hotel! We will come back here if we come back to Split!

The rooms spacious, mattress hugs you, location is a 5-10 mins walk from all the local attractions and the breakfast is like a high tea/breakfast. Only down side…. Be prepared to carry your case upstairs as there’s no lift but that’s a tiny issue. Definitely stay here

The included breakfast was the best and our room was spacious with a large balcony. The area the hotel is located in is dirty, however--no fault of the hotel!
• kwest56 (10/5): Boutique Hotel Near Diocletian Palace - The Splendida Palace was a beautiful boutique hotel located steps from the Silver Gate at the Diocletian Palace as well as near two food markets and restaurants. Free private parking was across from the hotel. Ms. Tabak was very easy to contact during the reservation process and accommodated all of our requests ahead of time. She met us in front of the hotel upon our arrival, leading us to our private parking space and brought all of our luggage into the hotel and had our room ready upon our earlier than anticipated arrival. The hotel is classified as a registered City Hetitage Site and the building is both old and new. The room was very spacious and elegantly decorated and the bathroom was large and had a shower with great water pressure. The mattresses were softer than we liked but we managed to get a good nights sleep. The breakfasts were very good and there were numerous a la cart options to choose from. Ms Tabak specially made oatmeal porridge and hard boiled eggs for me as a special request. The plunge pool was refreshing and while in the pool area, we were offered drinks and cookies. The whole property was very clean and there was a separate 24- hr secured entrance to access to the property. Ms Tabak was reachable by a provided cell phone and was available to give us recommendations and directions for sights to see during our stay.
• 393colink (10/5): Yes you should come here - This was so highly rated I wasn’t quite sure it would be true, but the staff here made it easily a 6 star experience. The concierge was helpful and responsive, the staff gave helpful directions and advice as well as positive recommendations. We were very happy with the room space and cleanings. The location was very close to the old city, palace, and ferry services. The breakfasts were absolutely stuffing in the best way! They had both pre-plated and a 16 item menu of foods that were lovely. Seemed to be an older group of folks coming to this location, but I would recommend any one of any age to come here. Thank you for a great experience!

• mw833 (10/5): Wonderful stay in Split - We were beginning a Croatian vacation in Split and so happy we found the Splendida Palace! The service was outstanding, rooms large and airy, plenty of light, and conveniently located just outside the old town. Everything was perfect from before our arrival to arranging a box breakfast due to our early departure. Every time I sat down by the pool, the staff was running over with snacks/fruit. Highly recommend the Splendida Palace!

• heathway53 (10/5): Best hotel we have stayed in for ages! - There are times when you arrive at a hotel and know immediately that you have made a great choice. Such was our arrival at Splendida Palace. They had arranged a taxi from the airport to the hotel which was waiting for us at Arrivals. Marija welcomed us at Reception with details of where to go, where to eat and really useful information about the beautiful city of Split. Our room was so comfortable and included a fridge, kettle, aircon and a really good shower. We had seen reports of the Splendida breakfast, and they were all true. The cake stand of fruit, savouries and pastries was more than enough, but with cooked eggs too we didnt need to eat again until dinner. Thanks to everyone at Splendida for making our stay in Split so enjoyable.
• sharonkrus (10/5): Hidden gem just steps from Old Town - Lovely hotel conveniently located next to Old Town and marina. The staff greeted us and carried our luggage to the rooms, which were large, fresh and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and amazing. A hidden gem with a lot to offer and a welcome change from small, worn rooms in our last few European hotels!

Great communication throughout. Incredibly attentive, friendly and welcoming service. Beautiful property with tasteful decor, which was spotlessly clean. Location could not be better - within 5 minutes walk we were in the centre of the old town with all of its atmosphere. Yet, the hotel itself was an oasis of calm and peace. Highly recommended. If we return to Split, we will be booking again.

From the moment we were greeted by Maria and her team we knew we were in for something very special. Beautifully appointed rooms and the breakfast was sensational. Only a very short walk to the main gates of Split. We can't speak highly enough of Splendida Palace, it was the very best place we stayed in Croatia and would love to go back.

It has a small plunge pool, ideal for relaxing after a hot day in Split! Breakfast is served on a three tier “cake “ stand, with a choice of meats and cheeses, fruits, croissants etc.. as well as a choice of various egg dishes. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but a special mention to Dea who was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. We couldn’t fault this hotel at all and would highly recommend it.

The receptionist even took me to ER knowing we had a car but it would be confusing for me. Hotel was spotless and breakfast delicious. Hotel is also perfectly located to Diocletian Palace, marina, and local beach. Hope you are lucky enough to get one of the ten rooms here.

• iaatf (10/5): Superlative - Splendida Palace is a gorgeous, small, boutique hotel and the service is second to none. They do whatever they can to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We chose the room with the large terrace and we really enjoyed relaxing out there. Breakfast was incredible, unlike any other. I had been communicating via email with Marija, the manager, before our arrival. She couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. She does an amazing job running this wonderful hotel, one of our all time favorites. We just wish we had stayed longer. Make sure to order a cherry spritz, made with their own cherry liqueur to enjoy on your terrace, balcony or by the pool.

• vadadson (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Fantastic hotel, first class customer service and the best breakfast in Croatia!! The staff could not do enough; as soon as you arrive at the pool, you are presented with a snack tray and drinks menu. The pool is cold but refreshing on a hot summers day!! The staff also provide great tips on the best restaurants and places to visit in Split. They even arranged a taxi for us back to the airport from the ferry port on our return from Hvar. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We could not fault this hotel and it was the best on our stay in Croatia.

The other 2 hotels we stayed in on Hvar and Brac islands were very good but Spendida Palace hotel was at another level. The location is great - just a few mins walk from the old town. The breakfast is fantastic and really set us up for the day. Our room (203) was lovely, with a small balcony that got the sun into the early evening. However, it’s the staff that made this hotel stand out. The service at breakfast is excellent and they are all so helpful and friendly with any requests for places to go, restaurants, beaches, etc. If you are thinking of staying in Split, book this hotel - you won’t regret it.

• Hebert (10/5): Five star location and service in a small personal hotel with amazing staff. - The team couldn't have been more helpful accommodating our needs and going above and beyond. The girls were amazing. Breakfast was one of the best I've had with both a continental and hot included. It felt like a five star hotel in a small, more personal hotel setting. Only a short walk from the centre and all the action, yet quiet it made for the perfect stay. Nothing. The pool is only a splash pool and not a proper swimming pool but that was perfect for us and a great way to cool down after a hot day or sight seeing.

It's small enough to offer the best personal service to everyone, and Marija and Dea provided us with the best possible customer service we have experienced. Managing our change of room super efficiently when we added an extra night to our stay, and looking after us throughout our trip. Great recommendations for restaurants (we are vegetarian), ice cream, beach clubs, trips and even future trips to Croatia! Highly recommend if you want a great hotel in a very short walking distance from Split old town.
