• Doug (2/5): Ruined by a constant loud alarm that disrupted a whole nights sleep - The room was absolutely fantastic - great size. The location was absolutely fantastic. Loved the rooftop and parking was easy to find close by After 6 days in the Puglia region and having a great time, it was ruined by the fact on the last night an alarm was going off outside of our room from the evening until we left at 9.30am the next day. Which we reported both the day of and day after to the hotel. It went of every 10 seconds for 10 hours and could be heard in the room and even in the bathroom behind 2 doors. It completely ruined what was a very relaxing week resulting in no sleep the night before our flight home.

Anche se c'è scritto che sarebbe stata aperta dalle 8 alle 22 e anche dopo decine di chiamate su WhatsApp nessuno si e degnato di presentarsi. Dopo un ora e mezzo di attesa abbiamo contattato Booking e siamo stati costretti a cercare un nuovo Hotel. GRAZIE

Great location too Unfortunately the Air conditioning was not working and would not go below 24 degrees which meant one of my 3 nights I stayed elsewhere I only slept because i was exhausted on nights I stayed. The rooftop pool was a great addition. The beach across the street was perfect. The room was clean and spacious. We had to wait over an hour for somebody to answer our calls and show up for us to get into the hotel and check in. Nobody on the front desk. No one to answer questions or give help or recommendations.

However the woman who worked there helped. The gate was locked all day one time we had to hop the gate to get into the property. Breakfast was really nice though and location was great.

• John (9/5): Beautiful place for a wind down. - We had a beautiful room with an ocean view and a surprise was an indoor spa off the bedroom hidden by a sliding mirror door! The position is about a 15 min walk to the old town but across the road from a small beach! The breakfast on the rooftop was special basically a continental breakfast but very nice! The lady who does all the cleaning and gets the breakfast was just lovely! We had an outdoor deck looking over the beach! The place was easy to find and whilst parking is a premium you can get a park close if you are staying more than one day for free outside! The rooftop pool is not deep but refreshing and there are plenty of spots to lay around! The air conditioning needs works!

• Natascha (3/5): Der Schein trügt.... - Bei unseren Erfahrungen in diesem Hotel verstehen wir die Frage nicht. Zunächst haben wir das Hotel nicht gefunden, da die Beschriftung kaum sichtbar ist. Direkt neben dem Eingang befindet sich orangenes Absperrgitter einer zum Hotel gehörigen Baustelle (scheinbar stillgelegt). Der Eingangsbereich ist eng und die Rezeption nicht, wie beschrieben, 24 Stunden besetzt. Wenn man Glück hat, erreicht man jemanden per WhatsApp. Ebenso was es, als wir einchecken wollten - trotz Angabe der Ankunftszeit. Parkplätze sind nicht zum Hotel gehörig- wie beschrieben. Man muss an der Straße parken, wenn man Glück hat erwischt man einen kostenlosen. Das Zimmer ist dem ersten Anschein nach schön groß. Die Rezeptionistin begleitet einen aufs Zimmer, jedoch kennt sie sich dort überhaupt nicht aus. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Indoor- Pool gebucht. Dessen Tür ging nicht auf und auch die Rezeptionistin könnte diese nicht öffnen. Sie forderte daraufhin den Hauswart an. Nach längerem hin und her ging die Tür schließlich auf. Dahinter die nächste Überraschung - der Pool war nur halb gefüllt, das Plätschern dadurch extrem laut. Mit einem Schlauch wurde dieser dann vom Dach gefüllt. All das schön uns nicht sehr sauber und ordentlich, sodass wir den Pool nicht benutzen. Das Display der Klimaanlage funktionierte auch nicht, woraufhin nach dem Herumdrücken des Hauswartes diese komplett ausfiel. Nachdem wir abreisen wollten und einfach unser Geld zurück verlangten, hat man uns gesagt wir müssen uns diesbezüglich an booking wenden. Der Hauswart war allerdings sehr bemüht und brachte die Klimaanlage wieder zum Laufen, auch wenn das Display mit Kabeln aus der Wand hing. All das hat uns zwei Stunden gekostet. Am nächsten Tag erhielten wir unser Frühstück. Für die Art des Hotels von der Menge her lachhaft, aber zumindest schön angerichtet. Zurück am Zimmer angekommen, mussten wir feststellen, dass die Klimaanlage erneut ausgefallen ist, da es das Zimmermädchen gut meinte und das Display samt Kabelsalat wieder in die Mauer stopfte. Auch die Klospühlung war dürftig.
• renaud (5/5): - L'emplacement est pas mal, mais la plage est très peu praticable La piscine sur le rooftop est sale, le petit déjeuner est succinc, il ne mérite pas le prix de la nuit. La salle de bain est très belle mais il n'y a qu'un jacuzzi et on ne peut pas prendre de douche sans mettre de l'eau partout. Enfin, il n'y a qu'une carte pour rentrer dans l'appartement dès que vous sortez la clim s'éteint.

• Jorulv (10/5): Hyggelig opphold i Monopoli - Gamlebyen i Monopoli anbefales. Play del Mar var et et meget godt valg. Kun 5 rom, med kort veg til strand og azurblått hav. Stranden var liten, men mulig å finne plass i sanden eller på klippene. Svømmebassenget var baee 40cm dypt, men deilig etter en kveld i den sjarmerende gamlebyen. Air condition fungerte for rundt 30 grader, men burde nok oppgraderes. Betjeningen vr hyggelig og serviceinnstilt. Frokosten var variert og god. Kommer nok tilbake

• Richard (8/5): Nice B&B to explore Puglia from - The room is very clean and high standard, bed is very comfy, good shower. Staff were flexible about breakfast timings. James was very helpful sorting out some issues and giving recommendations. The pool area is pretty good and generally quiet. The hot tub is very good. There is a balcony for drying but not a nice view. The location is fine, near enough to walk into centre. Most beachside restaurants close by are average but I found a couple of good quality ones. The room felt a little small. Need a socket by the desk, couldnt get access to TV channels. Booking.com photos of beach are misleading. They were rammed so my idyllic snorkelling was cancelled!

• James (8/5): Nice place that could be a great place with minor changes. - Room was large and clean. breakfast was good, James was a great host. Great view from rooftop restaurant and pool. Pool was shallow but nice to dip in. Great Nespresso machine in room. We did not realize that there was no shower in the King room, only a large hot tub/spa. That should be made clear upfront. Parking was hard especially on weekend. Street parking only in neighborhood. A trash can in the room would be nice to have. Would be nice to have beach chairs to rent from the hotel for the beach across the street.

• Ian (8/5): A lovely place , staff and location - The location was excellent The staff were great. We had an issue with the air con not working in our room which with hot weather wasn’t ideal but the next day they gave us a mobile unit to resolve the issue. The room didn’t have a shower to stand under just a shower rose over the jacuzzi bath which you had to sit in the bath to use so not very convenient.
• Shaughna (8/5): Great stay - Good location. Walking distance to historic centre. Easy to find. Almost 2km from train so make sure that’s ok for you if arriving by train. Very nice fresh breakfast provided. Lovely deck area with pool. We didn’t really use as was windy and cool. Room a little basic. No tea/coffee even though advertised. AC did not work but we were ok to leave door open. We could have contacted the property manager. But we didn’t mind as was windy and room was not overly hot. Was perfect for one night stay.

Lovely rooftop lounge. Very helpful, friendly staff. Nothing was too much for them to do for us. Lovely breakfast. Tidy, clean room everyday. There is always a place for improvement. Spare blankets just in case of cold nights. We had 2 rooms for 4 people. One of the rooms had few problems. (TV didn’t work, fridge was leaking, air conditioning wasn’t very efficient.)

• Wendy (7/5): Good - Breakfast was fine but the service was mixed. The decor was wonderful but some of the towels were past their best . The major drawback was the lack of consistent WiFi which made the planning of trips out difficult. The situation was ideal - close to the old town but with a sea view.

• Mirella (7/5): Good - The property is well maintained. The room was lovely and spacious. The roof top pool is a bonus on those very hot days. The property is very close to the old town; a lovely walk along the beachfront. Martin is a superb staff member at the property. The two girls at reception were very rude. They don't acknowledge you when you are waiting at the desk to ask a question. I asked for some assistance and one of them replied with an Italian obscenity. I think they forgot that I spoke Italian. They should take a leaf out of Martin's book!
• Andrew (7/5): Functional - excellent position close to beach and historic centre makes it good value - Position . Sound proofed rooms . Comfy bed . Swimming pool is 50cm deep - no warning signs of this . ‘Breakfast room’ is actually the hallway . Fortunately we could eat outside even though weather wasn’t good
• Cynthia (4/5): Disappointed with place - The view from the pool area. The breakfast was very good. The internet was poor throughout the whole place. I had reported it to the front desk via what'sapp with no response back. We could not get the TV to turn off, which also was mentioned to a staff member, who said they would come and take a look but didn't. No soap dish or toilet paper holder or extra blankets. We paid almost 200. CANADIAN and felt it was not worth that.
• Scott (9/5): Last day of our road trip to the Salento region. - Everything was spot on. We particularly liked the terrace on the roof. Very boutique and a lovely sun trap. The pool was like a dipping pool rather than for swimming but ideal for where it was. Loads of loungers and sunbeds. Even had a separate jacuzzi indoors which was nice relief from the sun if needed. Had breakfast on the terrace which was perfect and a good selection of food. Arrived early and was able to checkin which was brilliant. Parking is on the road but round the corner. Rooms were all very unique and again very boutique and tastefully decorated. Fridge in the room stocked with drinks at reasonable prices. Nothing really not too like. My only gripe was the plug in the shower kept blocking, which then overflowed into the bathroom and the TV was a bit temprimental as it didn't turn off. Not that I was bothered because I only wanted YouTube on for some music.

We expected a buffet, instead we received only fruit, and small frozen croissants. The pool was too shallow for swimming. The bathroom was too small, and there was no shower or anywhere to hang the shower head. We were expecting a car park however we were told to find our own street parking.

• Helen (6/5): Pleasant location but not a hotel…more a small B&B lacking in some basic facilities - We liked the location the location across the road from a small beach and a 12 min walk into the old town. The bed was large and very comfortable. The room was very clean and large beach towels were available. The staff were mostly friendly, especially Martin at breakfast and Alex on reception. The air conditioning didn’t work properly and the staff member we spoke to a number of times was unwilling to look into it. It was very hot indeed during the night. We were only allowed to have one room keycard and that keycard had to fit into the AC while we were out, so the room was always stinking hot when we returned to the room! We were told there was a shortage of keys…and clearly the system is designed so you can’t have cooling on when out. The room certainly didn’t seem like the 24m2 that was advertised. There was very little room indeed and nowhere to comfortably fit two cases. The breakfast was really basic and disappointing…and as there were no coffee making facilities in the room, we had to book breakfast as early as possible (8am) to get a coffee.

• Pietlood (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was great and varied for the six mornings. They provided us with a packed breafast for our depature morning. Room was on comfy and the cleaning and breakfast staff was very friendly. The rooftop pool was great. The location was great and walking distance to everything. Room was small and little packing space. The airconditioner did not work well and the temp was nover blow 25 degrees. We did ask them to check, but nothing came of this. We has to buy our own fan to help with the heat. Breakfast on the roof was in the sun and very hot.
