The sitting area in the room overlooking the water with a tea and coffee setup was nice. We got stuck in a major accident adding 4 hours to our arrival time and they were flexible. It’s in a great location to enjoy Oban but not be directly in the heart of town. There were no present staff at all. This was different and the site wasn’t labeled self-catering. We didn’t understand the double parking of cars and it was challenging to not block in others who may need to leave early on their journey. We made it work but having staff to ask questions or manage the situation would have been nice. The bathroom had a shower that didn’t drain and the shower head would t stay up so my husband found showering challenging at 6’. Also the bathroom had spider webs on the face towel storage so we did worry about the general cleanliness procedures taken. There’s no breakfast but you get a pot of instant porridge if you choose.

Nicely decorated. It was difficult to get in touch with any concerning a problem with one reservation. Overall we loved it. Unfortunately since it is an old building there are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. However, so far we have stayed in three older places and the same is true of them. Apparently it must be too difficult to run power to bathrooms in Scotland

- Kenneth (8/5): Very comfortable and quiet. - The bed was super comfortable. Room very clean and plenty of space. All appliances worked well and the coffee/ tea station was replenished each day. View was as described. Plenty storage space and towels were perfectly fluffy and clean. 3 sizes each and a bath matt for stepping out of the shower. Water was piping hot. Very quiet location and very close to the town centre as described. A lovely, old Victorian decor throughout which we liked very much. Had a lot of character. We didn't see any staff at all, the whole stay and had to figure everything out for ourselves. The shower was a little weak. No water pressure. The toiletries were very limited and had been already used. We could find no information on the wifi code.

- Pirvan (10/5): - Excellent location with stunning views! The room was clean, well equipped, and offered a fabulous view directly over the bay. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A lovely touch was the shared living room, perfect for reading a book, playing a game, or enjoying a glass of wine. The ice machine was a great bonus too. Highly recommended.

My only dislike about the property was not having someone there to greet you. It felt very impersonal and lazy and like we were back in Covid times.

No people encountered throughout the stay but everything went smoothly. - It was a warm comfortable house with a nice room and bathroom. Parking was off-street. Handy having a porridge pot to use in the room as we had an early start next morning. I always prefer meet and greet so sorry not have met anyone while we were there. Parking can be a bit tight. No cooked breakfast but we wouldn’t have time anyway.

We had someone open our door during the night, which was pretty disconcerting. Unsure if it was a guest or the owner checking to see if anyone was in the room. =P Overall everything else was good and as you would expect for such a reasonable rate.

There wasn't much room too manoeuvre when trying to get in and out of shower as door is really close to wash hand basin. I was frightened I would break the shower door if I wasn't careful.

Super clean and only a 15 minute walk along the esplanade to the town centre. Highly recommend this place for a few days visit. Nothing to moan about here.

I also don't hear in my room anything from other guests when they were walking around the house. Bed was great, mattress pillows everything.Ich The location is little bit outside of the center, but that mean great little stroll along the bay to Oban everyday and when you are lucky you can see seals swing to the habour at the evening. All in all i could recommand it. And if they will decide to offer breakfast it would be even better.
