- Mutavhatsindi (10/5): The reception responds quickly. There is hot water and a kitchen with necessary cooking assassories - The kitchen and the secured surrounding with the trees and it is next to the river. Every thing was perfect

There was enough space around each cottage to make each cottage private. Big bathrooms with spacious shower section and excellent flow of water. Within easy distance the the KNP and to the town, where there are many restaurants to choose from. A most comfortable stay where we were made to feel really special by Akani, who went out of his way to ensure that we were happy. From bringing us a complimentary bag of ice, to mopping up water that had leaked out of the fridge due to a short power failure and to whatsapp messages in the evenings enquiring after our day, he was a fantastic host. We were sad when our holiday ended but we will definitely return. Some of the pots had no lids. The cupboard in one bedroom could not close because the handle was broken. The shelf in the freezer was missing.

When I booked nowhere was any indication of an 'outdoor kitchen'. The photographs on the website are misleading and indicate false advertising. The fridge needs to be defrosted and cleaned. On arrival we rang the doorbell three times and only after I phoned someone responded. Wifi did not work.

- Nyiko (5/5): We were happy to have roof over our heads.the rest needs work - Facility had enough space to accommodate a small family comfortably. Cleanliness needs to be improved. There was dirt on the grout lines in the shower enclosures, something that can be removed with thorough cleaning. Stove knobs were sticky with grime from longterm use. Pillow cases in our room had not been replaced. We had to call for their replacement late at night before we could turn in. Sofas are all peeled and need replacing.

- Donald (10/5): - This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe!

- Michelle (10/5): Sand River is welcoming and comfortable; safe, beautiful and peaceful. - Doctor and Susan run Sand River and they are wonderful. There are only solutions to help you in your stay if you need anything. The property is secure and serene. We will stay again for sure if we return to Hazyview. The property is such an amazing value. No complaints. We really felt like this was a find.
- Gekana (9/5): Superb - The cottage is so spacious between the lounge and kitchen and the fact that the bedrooms are far apart giving each couple privacy. In the bathroom there is no mirror especially when you want to shave your face or head. A small dining table for four inside the house could be a cherry top.
- Friskydog (7/5): Needs refreshing and a link of paint - The cottage was spacious and had a large kitchen with the usual fridge freezer, gas stove with electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and lots of cupboards. However the cottage interior could do with a new coat of paint. Doctor and Susan couldn't be more helpful, they were a delight. Interior needs refreshing, bedroom cupboards, although plentiful, need more shelves. Lots of mismatched crockery. Sliding door to the patio needs something to stop people walking into it.

Plastic dining table need to be replaced or painted. Most of the kitchen cupboards are empty and are dusty. Minimal equipment in the kitchen. Only two pots for 3 to 4 persons. Gas stove is dirty and is sticky. Oven needs to be cleaned properly. No comfortable chairs on the porch; one has to sit on the dining table chairs. Fridge too small for 4 persons. Paint outside is covered with dust.

The place is safe(Electric Fence) and quiet. The blankets had previous guests hairs. Tha bath was not cleaned. Cabinets were dusty. The grill on the braai stand was difficult to keep in position. Pine Gel was a bit excessive.

There was nowhere to drop the keys when we were checking out which made things difficult. We couldn't leave them in the room as we needed the remote control to open the gate. We were forced to drive out and throw the keys back over the gate into the property, not ideal, but we didn't know what else to do.

- Candid (10/5): The best place to be - The location of the property, the peace, quietness (you could hear the river flow just behind the chalet) , the facilities, the staff, the host was so welcoming and was always welling to assist at any given moment. The property itself was to die for it surpassed all our expectations. Would definitely recommend.

- Chiyangwa (8/5): Neat, cosy little gem - We were pleasantly surprised , the place is a hidden gem. The apartments are huge, well equipped and very clean. The gardens are well maintained and they have a sparkling pool, the kids really enjoyed it. There's only 5 apartments at the place, which makes it all the more peaceful, tranquil and cosy. Mr Doctor, the host, really goes out of his way to make your stay very comfortable. We've found our new home everytime we're on our way to Kruger. They weren't spared by loadshedding

Most importantly the host, Mr Doctor, such a wonderful host, he welcomed and accommodated us with love. May he continue being as humble as he is. The room was clean and refreshing, so quiet and with nice breeze. The bathroom was clean, I really loved the shower 😁. I love the idea of the kitchen outside, quite unique. Will definitely come back, found a home in Hazyview🙏🏽 My partner and I loved everything about this place, no negativity.

Braai facilities is also available , the pool is net and clean , housekeeping every day during our stay and they only come in when you are out they don't bother you at all. nothing
- Rainy (10/5): Vacation at Sand River Cottages - Private, clean and safe, felt home away from home. Staff very good, we had a great stay No wifi No air con in the dining room and that's where we spent our time and it was little cold during our stay.

"Doctor " and his lovely wife made sure that we were happy . The beds were very neat and comfortable and the plates and utensils in the kitchen were of excellent quality. The surroundings were very pleasant and well suited for a family vacation. The location is near a large shopping mall. .Nothing. We were very pleased with everything

- A (10/5): Prime location for Kruger visitors - Our stay at the cottages was simply great. Miles better from what I had thought could be possible so close to Kruger. The cottage was in pristine condition and Doctor was a very friendly host. I would highly recommend staying here for comfort with the benefit of closeby amenities and access to Kruger gates only 10 minutes drive away.
