Guest Reviews
- Charles (8/5): -
- Kendra (10/5): We had a great time - They friendly and accommodating Location
- Marilee (10/5): - Very nice hotel! Great room for the price! They couldn't find my reservation at check in due to a new system but it wasn't a big deal.
- Elisa (10/5): I WOULD COME BACK - INDOOR POOL THE BREAKFAST WAS NOT THAT GOOD
- Tegi (10/5): -
- Donnie (10/5): -
- Maurice (6/5): I enjoyed my family but properly won't stay there or any hotel in Douglas again - Breakfast and staff were gud.... The heated pool was no-exsistent that was pretty much the reason came there in the first place. Why do you charge local people more to use local hotels?? Thats terrible
- Mckenzie (10/5): - Clean everything was fine Nothing
- Crystal (10/5): -
- Mobley (10/5): -
- Raven (9/5): - Location. breakfast The key card not granting access to building after a certain time and having to walk around to the front entrance to gain access.
- Sandy (10/5): -
- Pamalia (9/5): Stay easy quiet and clean and comfortable - The new remodel is very NiZe. What I didn't like was set up of micro/coffee....and lack of space that I could reach to fix a cup of coffee. I had to move coffee to the bathroom. Easy fix. The microwave should be on the higher level. IMHO. The other thing we noticed was lack of seating.. We missed the bigger seating where you could spread out and have places to lay out luggage. Choose outfits, etc The towels we were left with were scant. For two adults showering twice, it would have been NiZe to have extra towels so you aren't using a damp one. I use two towels anyway ...one for hair, one for body. THE COFFEE WAS DELICIOUS ❣️❣️❣️ in the room...Bed very comfortable too ...it's that thick comforter with no thin blanket or sheet that I wasn't loving. As a menapausal woman, hot flashes are brutal. We love staying with y'all and the new exterior paint looked phenomenal ❣️❣️❣️ Overall grand as always...im flexible and adaptable so no worries ...just sharing my thoughts...BLESSINGZ ❣️ Lack of space for making coffee that I could reach....
- Tracy (1/5): Horrible experience. I had to wait at the front counter for about 20 minutes before anyone even came. - Nothing They double-charged me. I paid through booking.com and my credit card, and they told me my money would be back on my card. I still haven’t received the refund, so they double-charged me for one night.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Quavion (8/5): - Very clean and location keeps it quiet
- James (8/5): Good stay....I'd say better value if it was about $20/night cheaper. - Easy check in. Breakfast was ok...nobody was really attending and some fun had run out. Hairdryer in the room did not work. The doors are really heavy and loud.
- Harper (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Mary (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): - Very pleasant and professional front desk staff. Will stay again.
- Shannon (6/5): - There were only 2 lights in the room with bulbs in them. The plug by the bed for the phone didn’t work and the Tv would not come on. I did tell the front desk and she was nice and said she would let their maintenance man know. It was clean and then breakfast was tasty.
- Angela (10/5): Peaceful - Everything Had a hiccup checking in, but the manager took care of it this morning. Great customer service the whole weekend .
- Russell (8/5): - Nice place
- nancy (10/5): Great - The breakfast was good. I like to see them add biscuit and gravy but other than that, it was good.
- lavonne (10/5): - Excellent Service
- Randall (4/5): Wouldn’t recommend - The hotel is under renovation, however the elevator stank of mold. The room was hot upon checking in. The ac would shut off without maintaining a 70 degree temperature. The bathroom door could only be shut by slamming against it then you had to try to struggle to open it. The continental breakfast had no coffee because the maker was broke. For what was supposed to be a better hotel I was very disappointed. The only positive was the bed was comfortable.
- Melissa (10/5): This was for a family birthday! The hotel was undergoing renovations but it never looked like it was being worked on. Th - Well
Maintained and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good N/A. It is having renovations done but it didn’t interfere with my stay
- Louise (5/5): Overall, my stay was ok. - The breakfast wasn’t appealing to me at all The food wasn’t good.
- Footprints634791 (10/5): - The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the hospitality is amazing I want to say Danielle is exceptional she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and she even helped us with some of our items we left I. Our to make sure it was safe and we went back to pick it up thank you again Danielle

- Michael (10/5): - New hotel, nicely designed rooms and baths. Television media was quite slow and would often buffer.
- Denora (3/5): Uncomfortable and Confused - We enjoyed delicious breakfast options and a hassle-free check-in and check-out process. The bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioner was loud, making it difficult for me to sleep. When I requested a discount for the unpleasant night, I was told that I already had the family reunion rate; however, that was not true, as I booked my room through Booking.com. I was also dissatisfied with the outdated room I received, which had a small TV, while my sister received a more modern, updated room for the same rate. I asked to be moved to a different room because our TV and amenities were outdated. Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay.
- Johnny (10/5): Short wonderful stay - Had to go to Douglas, Georgia for a funeral and was told to get a room at the Fairfield and it did not disappoint! Friendly service, clean room, bed was extremely comfortable and the chocolate chip cookies were delicious! We will already stay at this hotel when we go to Douglas!
- Carmen (8/5): - The doors didn't close properly. Construction of the building was a bit off the norm. Pipes exposed on the sink. But it was clean, and a nice hotel over all. The breakfast wasn't appealing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The overall stay was great, but trying to do an early checkout; no one was present until after 7am.
- Keith (6/5): - Property is in middle of remodeling. Elevator was dirty and had pads on walls and duct tape on carpet. Our bathroom door would not close as the threshold was too thick and the door could not close. The fitness center was closed for the remodel. If we had know, we’d have stayed elsewhere.
- marysia bryant (8/5): - Very nice
- Brittany (3/5): Probably wont waste my money here again - Nothing really The pool was nasty feeling the air didn’t work in the hallways or the room very well when we woke up there was ants in our room by our fridge
- Alfred (10/5): - Very clean, well-lit and quiet! We had a great stay! We did find it odd that there was nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. There was just a very short bar in the shower.
- Calvin (10/5): - Amazing to stay here.
- Candace (4/5): - Fitness center closed for construction. Construction dust and debris throughout facility. Very disappointed!
- Jasmine (9/5): Superb -
- B9588MHtonyj (2/5): Biten By Fleas - I stayed in Room 313 for one night on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025. When I woke up the next morning my chest, neck, forehead, both arms, and both hands were covered with over 25 flea bites. I told the front desk during checkout, they provided me a discount and said they would call pest control. This place is circling the drain and feel miserable.
- Ruchalski (3/5): Poor - People were nice. Breakfast was better than most. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and we didn't get a good night's sleep. The bathroom door didn't close. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was less than a trickle. Only one chair in the room
- Heather (10/5): - Very friendly staff and clean rooms.
- Melinda (10/5): - Always had a nice stay here!
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenine (10/5): Exceptional - The comfort of the bed was excellent and the room was spacious I wish the pool was heated
- Carol (10/5): - Clean
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (6/5): - I was expecting more from a Marriott property. Waited ten minutes at the front desk before an employee appeared. She was lovely once she acknowledged me and another guest waiting.
The furnishings in the room are dusty, and the bathroom needs repairs. Tub faucet moves when you turn on the shower, wallpaper is falling down and shampoo and body wash dispensers are empty. Mattress is not in an enclosed cover. No lining for the ice bucket. Inside of lampshades are stained with what looks like blood. Electric plug in base on lamp does not work. If I was here for longer than one night, I would ask to move rooms. Will not book here but stay at the Holiday Inn in Douglas instead.
- Leslie (10/5): - It was nice and convenient
- Dani (7/5): Good -
- Rhonda (10/5): - Very nice staff. Very nice amenities.
- Palacios (10/5): Great stay slept great quite and peaceful - Great front desk clean and housekeeper very polite Didn’t like that the breakfast was wrap in the tray still gave the flavor of the wrap after sitting in the steam to soggy
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christian (8/5): - Nice
- Minh (10/5): - Great stay
- Dani (8/5): It was nice, clean and over all the staff was friendly - View was neutral but its a great place for clean and comfortability. The AC was difficult to understand and did keep turning off now it could have been because we didn't know how it worked but that what happened and the pillows were just not for us.
- Johnson (1/5): Bad - Nothing How they took an extra 150 out my account
And had bugs and itching all night
- Shirley (4/5): Referred to a previous paragraph. - N/A The bed was hard, the pillows had no support. When I checked in, there were two rolls of tissue partially used, no room service on either of the two days to resupply tissue. Kleenex had 3 tissues remaining when I checked in and was never resupplied. No Internet service. Reached out to the front desk she indicated that she had reached out to upper management and that she was going to discount the price of room 102. When I checked out the person at on the front desk gave me a receipt indicating no discount and she said she could not change it. In Room 101 the front panel of the top drawer was missing.
- Erin (10/5): - We have stayed at this hotel before and like this location. Staff is amazing, the building is always clean and presentable. The only down side is the breakfast options were very limited and unappetizing.
- Fryer (7/5): Good -
- Newman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leslie (10/5): - It was a comfortable stay
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Nice clean and comfortable No complaints
- Glenn (10/5): - Away from everything very Quite desk check-in lady was nice and professional
- Timothy (6/5): - It was relatively quiet. You can experience some road noise. Did not see the staff much and when I did they had low energy. No complimentary water upon check-in
- Haleigh (4/5): - Had to change rooms 3 times due to the first 2 being dirty
- Shawn (10/5): - Good place to stay.
- Aris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of break options and they even had gluten free options.
- Long (10/5): I was happy with my stay. - Room was clean. A dirty wash cloth was left in the shower.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - The overall stay was nice
- Mejias (10/5): My stay was very pleasant in general - Very clean and the breakfast was delicious, staff very friendly. The bathroom towels rack was half removed from the wall.
- Vernita (8/5): - It was a pretty descent experience. It was a bit noisy on the floor I was on.
- Clarence (8/5): Very good - BREAKFAST WAS THE USUAL EXPECTED FARE, BUT DID HAVE A BETTER ASSORTMENT THAN USUAL. LINK SAUSAGES DID "NOT" LOOK COOKED !! ROOM LAYOUT WAS A BIT OFF,A BIT DIFFICULT TO MANUEVER MY WALKER. MOST DOORS WERE VERY,VERY HEAVY TO TRY AND OPEN,OR KEEP OPEN !! "NO" WASHCLOTHS IN ROOM/BATHROOM.........
'
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dale (8/5): Fine other than the hurricane - Check in was easy Toilet in my room 325 wasn’t attached to floor and moved every time you touched it
- Di (9/5): Very Nice will stay again. - Very Clean and Very stocked breakfast with a ton of options. the maid service did put two toilet papers. I had one empty and one 1/2
- Shanda (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica c (10/5): - Everytime I come to Douglas GA to visit my family I stay at this hotel, this visit toped my visit before, being the room was super clean!! The bathroom didn't have a hole in the wall like the room 227 I was in two weeks prior and this room was so much more updated then that one. Also i would like to thank the staff at the front desk who bought up the towels to our room!! My family really enjoyed the stay.
- jamesmM179FL (8/5): One of our favorite rooms in a hotel! - The room was very nice and clean. Really enjoyed the space in the room which was very comfortable. The shower was really nice and large. The breakfast was great and had more choices of food that I've had at a lot of other hotels. Would have given this a 5 rating but the sink was clogged and the water would not drain throughout the night; had to be careful how much you washed your hands and had to use the shower to wash hands to keep the sink from reaching the top.
- Cochon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lemmie (10/5): - This hotel is very clean and the staff was helpful, polite and attentive.
- Lemmie (10/5): The staff was polite and courteous. The hotel and the hotel rooms were clean. This is a great hotel and it is convenient - Clean, safe, convenient location, and plenty of parking. Nothing
- Veronica (6/5): They dropped the ball! - Everytime i visit my family in Douglas GA i stay at this hotel and everything always be great, But this time i will have to say that they drop the ball on my room 227, the bathroom had a whole in the wall, the wall had brown liquid stain on them, the bathroom and room was really dusty!!
- Garth (2/5): - We booked a twin queen room but only a single king room was available. Staff denied that we had booked a twin queen room and said the hotel only has single king rooms.
- John (10/5): - Absolutely enjoyed everything during my stay - just can have a little bigger refrigerator (won’t hold carry-out plates)
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kyle (10/5): - Although it was a nice stay they dont have any transportation services at all.
- Brandon (10/5): - Property is nice and quiet. The area is ok and lots of food choices within a mile from hotel. The only thing is workers staying at hotel were partying in parking lot and then brought their gathering into the common area downstairs. My young children felt a little uneasy. Other than that staff is great and room (quiet) was nice.
- Kimalee (6/5): - The room was clean, but there was a dead cockroach in the sofa bed & blood on the mattress cover, so no one had checked that obviously.
- Karen (10/5): - Danielle was wonderful with checking us in. She was also very helpful with letting us know what services we were receiving with our room reservation and with restaurant recommendations.
- Pamela (8/5): - The bed was hard. It was uncomfortable. The room was spacious.
- Dinitra (4/5): Receptionist needs training. - Alana, the receptionist, needs training. She did not locate the paid reservation when given the confirmation number which caused a series of issues. The issues included my guest speaker having to wait and not get needed rest, guest paid again for a room that was already paid by me, my pastor had to come to the hotel to pay, and I had to stop working to travel to the hotel to resolve the issue. This all could have been avoided. She also seemed very confused in how to receive reservations made with 3rd party to the point of having to call the manager.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional - Very good hotel and experience
- Marcia H. (8/5): - There should be someone to man the desk at all times esp between 4pm-9pm
- Hattie (10/5): Great - Great None
- Joseph (10/5): - The hotel was was convenient to family that we were visiting in the area. It was clean & comfortable and they had many options for breakfast.
