• Deb (8/5): Pretty room in perfect location - Lovely room. Nice shower. Extra amenities are easily accessible in the hallway closet. Airport transfer was convenient and went smoothly. Very quiet. You access the apartment through an art gallery, which was not problematic, but the gallery staff seemed highly annoyed. Room did not have a kettle or coffee.

• Maureen D (6/5): Great location with lots of charm - Really charming hotel at a great location inside the palace area. Lots of shops and restaurants just steps from the door. Be aware that there is no elevator. Staff is helpful with taking suitcases up, but there are a lot of stairs if you forget something in your room. The site says the rooms are serviced daily, but that didn't happen for us. The toilet seat was loose, the shower drained slowly and one of the lights didn't work, so while quaint and comfortable, I can't give it 5 stars.

The young man who checked us in was really nice and took our bag up the stairs for us (quite a few stairs btw). If gladly stay here again
• Alenai (6/5): - A room and bathroom in a very old building in the heart of Split. Cons: Property needs upgrades and renovations asap. We stayed 4 days and our room was only serviced once (per our request). Door knob seems to be falling from the front door, shower and sink are clogged, some lights are not working, bathroom looks dated and the place is extremely noisy early in the mornings. Pros: Premium location, safe, spacious room.
• Stephen (8/5): A nice hotel in heart of diocleacans palace - Hotel was in a fantastic location in historic building with lots of characheter. Walk outside to lots of restaurants, shops, and not far at all from riva. Our room had refrigerator which we made sure to use. Along with comfortable and stylish decor. Host was very personable, and provided a lot of great information on things to do, places to eat, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Thank you to the lady in the art gallery for looking after us and apartment 2 for letting us know where we could leave our luggage until we departed. Communication was ok it took a while to reply on the last day as to where we could leave our luggage, we had left already leaving our luggage with the lady in the gallery. It would have been nice to have a kettle to make tea or coffee, no housekeeping and the bathroom door was dirty.

• Hefziba D Campos (8/5): - Overall nice stay, 100/10 location, right in the middle of Old Town, not too noisy at night, and generally comfortable stay. My only complaints were that our host was not responsive at all, and even after we checked in, he was not responsive to our messages asking a very basic question. Another issue we had was the shower, there was no tub lining, and the drain was slow and horrible so our bathroom would flood after every shower. Other than those two issues, we had a pleasant stay.
• Jacqueline (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Palace Tartaglia. Our room was small but very comfortable for our three-night visit. It was spotless, and the bed was cozy and inviting. Be aware there are quite a few stairs to reach the rooms—so if that’s an issue, request a lower floor or this hotel may not be the best fit. One quirky detail is that the entrance and exit are through an art gallery; you’re given keys for after-hours access, which we found unique. The hotel is perfectly located inside the city walls, just a short walk to the harbor, lovely restaurants, and lively bars. Our host, Toma, was excellent—quick to respond on WhatsApp and full of great tips on local places to visit. Highly recommend! Travel tip: If you’re coming from the airport, use Uber or arrange the hotel’s shuttle service—it’s much cheaper than a taxi.

The room was clean, dark and quiet which we really like and we had an amazing sleep. Toma was very quick to respond and come to meet us even though we gave last minute information about our arrival time. • Tanisha (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay, the room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable, the location is perfect, extremely central in Old Town and easy to get around with a Spar (supermarket) across the road, the rooms provides a fridge which is a bonus it would have been nice to have a kettle also but it isn't a deal breaker. The hosts are really lovely and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble for them, highly recommend this place!

• Benjamin (10/5): - Marco has a wonderful property in the centre of split close to everything you need to do! The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely bathroom and very comfy bed. Only issue was the AC stuck at 25, but we still slept well and the local beers helped us sleep.
• Thomas (8/5): A great location but there is no lift and it can be noisy. - We were met by the host who helped us get our bags up the stairs to the accommodation. The room was a reasonable size without being big. The bathroom was well fitted out. Located in the middle of the old town Unfortunately the nights we were staying there were concerts on in the nearby square which meant that it was noisy until about 11. Then workers were outside the building packing equipment up at about 5:30. Not the host’s fault. A lot of foot traffic outside also contributed to the noise. No lift.

• Lisa (6/5): Croatia is really expensive where the tourists are. - Really good location. It´s located in the central tourist attraction in Split. The guy that checked us in could not have been any nicer or better he get´s 10 from us. Even carried our suitcase up. :) Gallery at the entrance that is something you haven´t seen before. We got room with 2 windows that is good to let the light in. The room and bathroom is big enough for 2 people.it has refrigerator and hair dryer which is good. Not far away like 20 min walk, is Concreate beach which is really nice to go to. First of all you have to realize this is an old house with no elevator and I guess it´s on 4th floor. So heavy luggage is not helping here. We got room with 2 windows but there is no view, only wall and windows and air-conditions. There was horrible smell coming from the shower drain and they said they would fix it immediately but did not. I will guess they would fix that when we left, hope so. Another thing is check out time is 10 o´clock in the morning and that´s really early when you have a afternoon flight. I asked if possible to stay longer but they said no. With our friends we had 3 rooms but had to leave the luggage in the gallery and were not allowed to keep 1 key so we could get in to our luggage if needed. Luckily the gallery was open later that day so we were able to get in sooner than we had planed. I recommend more than this 3 hangers in the closet.

Very central and two minutes from the seafront, almost next to the town square. Opposite a spar to collect any necessities. Host was great at providing local info and suggestions.

• Sharon (9/5): Great accommodation right in the middle of the old town. - Right in the middle of the old town of Split. Very convenient to all the restaurants and close to the water. There is no lift so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs which is ok but if you have heavy suitcases - take your time and the host will also help you take them up. It's a bit hard to find - especially if you get to the place early to drop off cases as the rooms are above an ART gallery. Art Gallery only opens at 10 am so you may have to have breakfast first. Look for a large green door. Otherwise, host is very nice and will help you out.

And the location was awesome. I think it would've been good to know about the light switches for the stairs up to the room but I was able to figure that out soon enough.

• Grace (6/5): - The room was clean and as expected from the photos. We didn’t mind climbing the 3 stories of stairs to get to the room. The night we checked in, our room would not lock due to a malfunction with the door. I messaged the host to help. He came the next morning and fixed it. As for service, the host was kind and responsive. he had an employee meet us outside the art gallery to show us to the room. The price was great for the location but due to the lock issue, I wouldn’t stay again.

• Betsy (9/5): Fabulous location & comfortable room! - The location is fabulous, right in the middle of the Old Town. The room was large and comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that the wifi in our room (room 5) did not work well as it had to penetrate huge stone walls. This made it a bit difficult for us as we only used wifi during our vacation. The wifi did work outside of the room and I believed it worked in all the other rooms, our room was just in a difficult position.
• Vicky Nga Yung (8/5): - The location of the hotel is great, extremely convenient as it is next to a convenience store and very close to a lot of shops and restaurants. It is clean and the aircon works well which is always good under the hot weather in August. The stairs (no lift here) to the hotel are quite dark in the evening as some lights don’t turn on. It doesn’t have a reception and you will have to enter through a gallery. You’ll have to meet the host at the property with prior arrangement. The day that I arrived was a national holiday so the gallery was closed so I had to wait a while for the host to arrive - but this is more of an exceptional circumstance. The host, Toma was extremely friendly and have given us a lot of restaurant suggestions! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

• Jaime-lee (10/5): Absolutely stunning and exceptionally clean. - The location was absolutely perfect. As a first time visitor to Croatia I would absolutely stay here again. The communication was excellent and we booked the airport pickup which was so smooth, then Karlo met us at the car to take us into the apartment. It was a gorgeous room, so clean, with perfect aircon and consistent hot water. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The stairs would be difficult for elderly people but we had no trouble.

It is inside the city walls and very convenient to all the sights, many great restaurants and the waterfront. It is also within a short walking distance to the ferry terminal. The host, Marko provided transport from the airport to the hotel. It was very hot during the time that I was in Split so he suggested that I take the ferry to Brac Island for a day trip. It was a great suggestion and turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The air conditioning did not work well. A ceiling or floor fan would have made the room more comfortable.

• Daniel (8/5): Palace Tartaglia is a great option for a couple - Location in Diocletian Palace walls was super cool, very walkable. Air conditioning was superb which mattered because it’s a very hot July now. Our host was very helpful to be sure we got settled in and oriented properly. The room was tight but not too small for a couple and the bed was comfortable. The only thing missing was a nice seating area for us to take a breather and enjoy one another’s company. Coffee shops, food stands and restaurants everywhere within a couple minutes walk! The harbor was only 2 minutes walk and was beautiful.

• Emily (10/5): - This was an incredible property. Check in was easy, and the location was STELLAR. Quite literally in the middle of everything - a few min walk to everything including the ferry all the best restaurants. The staff was so accommodating, and my room was clean and peaceful. Toma was an excellent contact person, and incredibly helpful. He even sent a huge list of suggestions! I would most definitely recommend this property and will be booking again if I find myself in Split another time.
• Mauricio (10/5): Minha casa em Split - Excelente localização ! Perto de tudo que a cidade antiga oferece. O Check in com o Funcionário Toma foi excelente . Não há serviços no hotel . A princípio a escadaria me assustou , mas encarei como se estivesse no gym !

• Aniljit (5/5): Passable - The location is excellent. The place was clean. Description is misleading. We expected a hotel , but al you get is an apartment with limited facilities . You don't see a person after check in. Even garbage is not collected till after you stay and the bin is small. We found better options once we were in that area.
