Guest Reviews
- Lisa (10/5): - Large room, very clean, housekeeping each day with fresh towels, trash service, more toilet paper, etc. Comfortable bed- but only two pillows, we went and bought more pillows. Fridge and microwave in room, large closet area and large vanity area outside of bathroon
- Pamela (8/5): - Staff was very accommodating. There were no restaurants close by.
- Brett (8/5): - Hotel met our budget and was clean with a comfortable bed. WIFI worked geat. The person at the front desk went above and beyond to help me send some information.
- David (8/5): - Location, it was old
- Sarah (8/5): - We were enroute to the Western part of the U.P. so did ot intend to spend much time at the motel. There was a good dinner place very near the hotel, but a breakfast place for the next morning was elusive. The only close choice seemed to be a bakery called The Sugar Shack. It would be OK for those wanting only sugary baked goods for breakfast. That is not us!
- Carol (8/5): - The room was clean and nicely sized. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Price was right for the age of motel, a bit outdated
- Daniel (10/5): - The motel is clean and quiet. The office provides coffee but no breakfast.
- Amber (8/5): - Front desk was very nice. My family and I stayed four nights and had a great time.
- michael (8/5): - Hm
- Michael (10/5): - Great place.
- Laura (10/5): - Staff very friendly, clean & very nice room. Gave us directions to our destinations
- Jennifer (10/5): - Loved this place!! Owner was amazing we had a flat tire and her son came out and helped. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had ours springer spaniel with us and she made sure we got a lower room. Amazing hospitality ❤️
- Jill (10/5): - Was a perfect place for our last night on a long road trip. Clean and comfortable and affordable
- Robert (10/5): - Really clean and quiet place to stay. The staff were really nice. It was honestly better than expected.
- Dana (6/5): Okay place - Okay place .
- Joseph (8/5): Close to Rock Hunting Beaches! - We love this area in the U.P. and this hotel's location makes for an easy drive to some of the areas great stony beaches.
The room itself was clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The folks manning the front desk were helpful and polite.
My only issue were the pillows, which should probably be replaced...just a little issue with a funky smell.
But all in all, a fine stay.
- Lyle (8/5): - The motel is very good. Room was comfortable, beds were great. The major problem is there is simply nothing around the motel. Brimley is a small town and the eating possibilities are limited to a bar, a restaurant/bar where the kitchen closes early, and a casino. We would have considered staying for a couple more nights if there had been any services in the town. Again, the hotel itself is very good.
- Pamela (10/5): clean and cozy - We spent one night here on an impromptu getaway and were delighted to find the hotel so cute and cozy! The room was simple, clean and comfy-especially the beds! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
- barry (8/5): - Room was very nice. Clean, bed very comfy.
Good tv. Great value for the one night we stayed while visiting the UP of Michigan.
- Jennifer (10/5): - We stayed here for a few nights well we join our family that was camping at friendly State Park. This motel was perfect for our stay. This facility also allows you to rent out kayaks for the day.
- Darlene (10/5): - Clean, comfortable rooms. Easy drive to the casino and dining options.
- Sandra (10/5): - Very nice place to stay, would stay there again if in the area.
- Nicole (10/5): - Decent hotel. Nice location for getting to both Sault Sainte Marie and Whitefish Point. Nothing fancy, but it was a good hotel. Pretty clean, decent beds.
- Karen (10/5): Outstanding service! - The staff couldn’t have been nicer. I needed an accessible room for my mom. They went to the hardware store and installed a grab bar for her. They called me in the morning before we came. So very kind! It’s a small hotel but they make it as nice as they can.
- Sarah Suzanne (10/5): - Our stay here was great! It was within budget for us and as far as motels go, it was well maintained, clean & quiet. They allowed us to have our dog ($25 extra) and staff was friendly.
One negative was when I connected to their guest wifi, and shortly after my Facebook was hacked into. Assuming this was by another guest. I immediately logged off wifi and informed staff the next morning.
- Marla (6/5): - Its a little outdated but it was a nice room and nice staff.
- RONALD (10/5): - Great place to stay!
- Sheri (10/5): - Easy check in, staff was great! Very friendly
- Janet (10/5): - Clean, Comfy & Quiet.
- Alex (10/5): - Friendly, welcoming staff and a comfortable room. Slept well.
- C (6/5): - Nothing bad to say about Willabees - it is an average motel for but a good place to stay. The staff person checking us in was very friendly and fun to interact with. Motel is very close to the Bay Casino. Limited nearby places to eat but expected for that area of the state. I do recommend staying at Willabees.
- Janell (10/5): - Staff wsa nice and room was very clean
- Laramie (10/5): - The area is very close to a good pizza place and a little park with the beach!!! The lady who checked me in and i assume is the owner or manager was so kind, friendly, accomodating, and a hard worker. The room was nice and cool without the ac even being on. The shower was huge and lovely. Although it does not have breakfast there are some frozen things for sale for cheap and a toaster and microwave and fridge so bring your own food and enjoy! I was so comfy and has such a good time in sweet little brimley.
- Dona Hasini (10/5): - Great service
- Justin (10/5): - No complaints
- David (10/5): - Clean rooms.. easy access.. help desk Jo was very nice person. Easy check in.
- jeff (8/5): - Good location for trails, casino and golf
- Terry (8/5): Nice - Fine
- Howard (10/5): - The owner is a saint. She kept the front desk open late for my late arrival. She put me in a lower room when she saw I could not climb stairs. She even filled me in on the local gossip.
The room was clean enough to eat off the floor. The beds were perfectly made. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable I was out like a light.
Next time I need a place to stay in the Soo area, it will be at Willabee's.
- Carol (10/5): - Small motel with character. Enjoyed the creek behind our room. Staff were very friendly. Close to a few restaurants and a couple of casinos!
We would return!
- Joyce (10/5): - Nice place, easy checking in. Friendly staff.
- Karen (8/5): - Willabee’s is a well scrubbed motel with a delightful owner (?) Jo. King room was adequate, bed good. Brimley is quite small, with a small grocery store and a few places for a meal. The motel has stairs to the 2nd floor, no elevator. Right on the main highway, so very accessible. Clean, acceptable and OK at this price point.
- jerry (8/5): - Was a little pricey for the property but was the closet to our destination
- Ronald (8/5): - Great location
- Heather (10/5): Great local hotel. - We came to go snowmobiling. This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was very close to a gas station and the trail. We will stay again if we come back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are very helpful
- Barbara (10/5): - The Manager is very accommodating. She’s outgoing, friendly and well….just an amazing personality!
- Vince (10/5): - Nice little motel ,very clean and right in the trails
- Lisa (10/5): - Went for I500 snowmobile race. Clean motel. Helpful staff. No place for breakfast
- Gregory (10/5): - Jo is a great motel manager! She was amazing and so helpful! Great place to stay
- Don (8/5): - Easy access to trails
- Tanya (10/5): - This property is clean, nice staff. It is nothing fancy but was perfect for our stay
- Robert (10/5): - Rooms were nice and the property was well kept up. Front desk person was friendly and helpful.
- Myrna (10/5): - The only complaint i have is the parking lot was extremely icy. All the snowmobilers stay there and the restaurant food was good snd inexpensive
- Mike (8/5): - Little icy
- Angela (10/5): - Nice
- Cynthia (8/5): - We have stayed here before. Always clean. Coffee in in the morning. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Accepts pets - The room was good but smelled of old smoke .. very high priced for a no frills motel .. the parking lot was an icey accident waiting to happen..bought a jam in the office and it was moldy..
- William (10/5): - Nice place. Clean and courteous.
- Jing (10/5): - By randomly selection, I picked up this motel for the halfway stop. It was a surprise. We arrived there later afternoon, dinning place is adjecent to the motel. We walked to dinner place, then walked to the lakeshore. The sunset colored whole lake surface, so amazing! fantastic! I was holding my breath, didn't want to disturb this peace and beauty.
- Mary (8/5): - Kelly was great! He led me in and was helpful with some questions and issues. It was a bit rainy during my stay but I was disappointed by the signs in back of the hotel saying, “do not enter”. The signs were posted on trees that were right above the bank to a beautiful river!
- Lonnie (8/5): - Not a bad place to stay overnight!
- Jill (10/5): - Staff were very welcoming, rooms had lots of workspace, place was clean and next to a great eatery.
- Yan (8/5): - Near lake, view is beautiful.
- Mike (10/5): - Very nice place clean and quiet
- CASONDRA (10/5): Will be back - Fairly priced, very clean, friendly staff who are attentive, great location! Very dog friendly (just not in the lobby).
- Charmaine (6/5): - It wasn’t as clean as it was in previous stays.
- Gayle (4/5): - The room/ hotel definitely not worth the almost $200 a night. The staff is nice and the room is decent, but nothing special. They take advantage of the fact that there's not many other places to stay. Something this price should include breakfast at least. Also, you can't barely leave the room at night because of the swarm of bugs attracted to all of the lights on the hotel, it's way overkill. Then, even though it says no smoking on property, at 11pm when my fiancé and daughter are trying to sleep, there's this overwhelmingly strong odor of weed coming into our room. I know it's legal, but try to have some respect for people around you, especially kids. Only giving it 2 stars because it is across from the cemetery, which is the whole reason why we came.
- Terry (10/5): - Nothing special, but definitely no complaints
- Stephen (8/5): Comfortable **** - Willabee's Motel, was comfortable, nothing fancy, beds were comfortable. No activities for kids, no pool. WE tried the pizza place down the rd, it sucked!!! Overall if it was just me and the husband we would stay again, but with kids , no we wouldn't. It was only 1.5 miles from the casino. The only gas station in town is open till 12am
- David (8/5): - We had a comfortable large room.
- Glenn (8/5): - Way overpriced. Beds are average. Missing screen in window. Very quiet. Adjoining restaurant is great. Kayak rental is cheap and excellent bring your own lifejackets for best experience.
- Cheryl A (8/5): - Great place for a little town. Convenient,clean.
- Nancy (10/5): - We liked Brimley and the restaurants that were nearby!
- Dagmar (10/5): - Responsive staff when coming in late, very clean, comfortable and quiet. Good restaurant next door.
- Perry (10/5): - Ok but they should offer a casino package for the price they charge
- karen (10/5): - Very nice surroundings. Clean and quiet. Staff very friendly.
- Jamilynn (10/5): Recommend - Everything was great. Service was great!
- Lesley (6/5): - The bed were old and not comfortable, amenities were ok. Need a little updating
- David (8/5): - Very nice place to stay staff was great would recommend
- Holly (10/5): - We were in the renovated section. Rooms were clean, fresh, spacious, with close parking, and easy access to the main roads.
- Roger (8/5): - Clean and large sized room. Front desk staff was very friendly.
- marcia (10/5): - Did not like water warped linoleum in the bathroom
- Sandra K (10/5): - Friendly staff super close to Brimley casino.
- Daniel (6/5): - Everything as it should be. Nothing more nothing less
- kevin (10/5): - .
- LINDA (10/5): - pretty scenic view, river
- Todd J (10/5): - Great staff and nice rooms. Pet friendly and nice bar next door.
- robert (8/5): - Great for snowmobilers.
- Benjamin (8/5): - Very clean but a bit overpriced for having no breakfast or pool.
- laurie (10/5): - We found this property to be clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was so kind and personable. The bed was comfy for older bones! We appreciated that!
- Jeremy (10/5): - Hotel restaurant bar gas station trai system close for snowmobiling
- Leah (6/5): - The staff was very nice and there was parking for the snowmobile trailer. There was a restaurant right next door which was very convenient. The room overall was clean. The only reason I’m giving it bad reviews is because the bathroom ceiling was COVERED in mold!!
- David (10/5): - I cannot say a negative thing about this property. Extremely pleasant experience.
- Angela (10/5): - Our Stay Was 100% FANTASTIC!!! Very Clean Rooms Very Nice Staff, N' Quiet Both Nights We Stayed!!!!
- Joseph (4/5): - The room had spider webs with dead flies in them and a cigarette butt laying on the floor when we got there. The staff was nice. They are terribly expensive for what the motel is. A 2 night stay in October was $425.....
- Christopher (4/5): - This was a drive up Motel; with a muddy un-paved parking lot. The staff lady was very friendly. The room was grossly over priced. Upon arrival into the room the window was left open and it was very damp/musty….the room had a horrible smell. Though it smelled bad, it WAS clean though…
This was a $75/night room, NOT $191!
- Steven (10/5): - Nice little motel with restaurant on premises. Comfortable pillow top beds. No blow dryer.
- Andrea (10/5): - Room very clean, comfortable and quiet. Exterior is fresh and clean. Location is a bit out of they way but easy drive to wherever it is you need to go.
- CAROL (4/5): - Nothing unique. Room was clean. Outside covered walkway to get to 2nd floor room was literally covered with spiders and spider webs. My daughter is terrified of them. Office lady was nice, but didn’t know how to work computer, so never got a reciept. 1 of our nights was supposed to be cancelled and wasn't. I'm done with Travelocity
