Guest Reviews
- Kevin (9/5): a great place for a rest. - Restful, peaceful views; good solid English breakfast, and intriguing study of the python on the roof next door. There are a lot of steps which present something of a problem for older people but take it slow and steady and you will be okay. The slope does give each cabin privacy.

- Michael (10/5): - Location and the view.
Good customer service

- Selena (10/5): Lovely hosts, beautiful clean and comfortable cabin with all amenities. We enjoyed a lovely 2 nights, secluded in our ca - It was beautifully set out, clean and the view!!! Nothing, it was amazing!

- Kate (6/5): We really enjoyed it but we really wanted to stay at least two nights but it was not available. - The location and the view were pretty good, the bed was very comfortable.Breakfast was delicious, the young lady who checked us in & served us breakfast was lovely, knowledgeable of the area & very hospitable.
We loved the wood fire & the chess board we even had a game. The glass sliding door was very noisey, might need some maintenance or a new track.
The large rocks around the parking area.
No wood fire in the room.
The towels were rough not thick & soft.
The bathrobes were heavy & not very warm.
The doona could be thicker, as it did get cold.
We didn’t know about the lounge area, with wood fire, chess, bar & outside area. Not sure if you can use it at night.
- Jacinta (6/5): Staff are great so is the view but if your looking for room with a usable spa bath this will disappoint 😕 - Property is in a good location and staff are very polite and attentive and the view is amazing Unfortunately a big selling point of this property was unusable, the spa bath was visibly dirty and because of the use of rain water (which is clearly not maintained well) the water came out very visibly green with particles floating in it. Which is frankly unhygienic wouldn’t recommend booking here if you plan on using the spa bath.
- Prakirti (10/5): A great overall experience—beautiful room views, a tasty breakfast, and quality local Maleny coffee. - Really enjoyed our stay here. The room had a stunning view which made it feel extra special. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, and the locally served Maleny coffee was a highlight. A peaceful and pleasant experience overall.
- Cindy (10/5): A great getaway - Wonderful hosts, Cabin was perfect great views over the rolling hills, had everything you needed and was relaxing. Beautiful breakfast.

- Sarah (7/5): -
- Carlos (9/5): - The cabin was very comfortable and the view was great. The breakfast was delicious. The gardens have great potential and would be great to see it properly maintained.
- Chad (7/5): Enjoyed visiting Top of the Hill - The staff were very professional and friendly. The location was lovely. If the grounds and facilities had a slight update and clean up, then the place would look amazing. If a dinner option was available, this would make the stay fantastic, as it would be nice to use the common area at night, and not have to go out for dinner.

- Patti (10/5): - Lovely comfortable cabin with convenient location. Enjoyable breakfast with friendly service.
- Isabel (9/5): - Absolutely beautiful views and surrounds! The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and the bedding & towels were lovely. The cooked breakfast on the deck in the morning was a great way to end our quick stay Something we didn't notice beforehand - but no door to separate the toilet
- Matt (9/5): - Staff are very attentive. We came here over Easter in 2024 and returned again this year. We will likely come back in another two years. Parking is a bit cumbersome, very tight in the upper carpark.
- Anthony (8/5): Easter escape - The views were wonderful if not a little obscured due to the cabin next to us . We ordered a tasting plater and a Ploughman's for two which were both great . Couldn't eat all of them. The breakfast was good . Needed to have a door on the bathroom. I know the younger couples might not mind but us oldies like a little privacy. If you have limited mobility, you may struggle with all the stairs. It would be nice if you were able to use the lounge in the main building, as it was a lovely area with an open fireplace.
- Jerson Rey (10/5): -
- Nick (10/5): Lovely stay, nicely furnished rooms with great views. - Excellent location. The cabins were quite private.
- Les (10/5): Great short break away. - Breakfast was great. Nothing

- Juanita (10/5): Awesome views lovely staff! - Loved the views! Cabin was cozy and had everything you need . Staff was so lovely. Breakfast was good . Easy parking . Very private , even on balcony. Loved it all but would have loved it even more if the toilet had a door .

- Angel-la (10/5): Friendly host, quiet, clean and peaceful cabins with delicious breakfast included. - The property was beautiful and clean. It was also very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and Morgan-Lee and Jaime were super polite and helpful. Nothing
- Mary (6/5): -
- Julie (8/5): It was enjoyable and quite comfortable the staff were very helpful and accommodating - It was clean No doors on toilet for hygienic reasons . Needs just a bit more space for you to use in kitchenette area? The internet played up?
- Alicia (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional. Would highly recommend and return. - Attention to detail by staff who went above and beyond for a special weekend for family wedding.
- Laura (10/5): Private , comfortable , great view , easy check in and yummy generous breakfast - Private , comfortable , great view , easy check in and yummy generous breakfast Nothing
- HAN-JOU (10/5): -
- Angela (8/5): This was a good property for an overnight stay and handy to Melaney. - The property was in a good location. It was comfortable and very homely, everything we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was included and very nice. It was peaceful and a lovely view. Going out at night and coming back there isn’t any lighting in the driveway which made it a little hard to see. The third car park on the steep hill was a bit hard but manageable, easier in car park 1&2.
- Jason (8/5): Relaxing Weekend - The property was located close to everything we wanted to visit. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and tidy.
- Adam (10/5): Amazing… we would book again in a heartbeat. Whole process was simple from check in to check out. - Easy to find. We stayed in room 6 which was the top room. View was sensational. The steps were a little hard on my wife but she is going through cancer treatment so anything is a challenge atm.
- Elise (9/5): - The staff and breakfast were incredible. The views were amazing, too. Our room was very clean. The hair-dryer was very weak, and took a long time to get my hair somewhat dry.
- Terry (9/5): Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. - Loved the location, we had such a good view, very quiet. Was able to unwind and relax easily. The wifi cut out often. Would have been nice to have movie channels, felt like watching a movie at night, or the rainy afternoon.
- Hayden (10/5): - Neat and tidy place, exceptional service and great Brekky too Nothing
- Eden (10/5): Clean, modern, sceenic - Fantastic views and great value for money.
- Jean (10/5): Relaxing and cared for in every way. - It was a top breakfast (full English for my husband and Vegetarian for me). We were attending a Wedding at Maleny Manor so the location was perfect for us (about 3 klms). Hostess Morgan-lee could not have been more obliging, being kind, patient and caring. We couldn’t get the wi-fi to work as it rejected the given password. But being in our 70’s it was probably us!
- Josephine (10/5): Definitely will return as it truly was a DREAM location. Staff were simply so hospitable & the breakfast, fabulous v - Such an amazing location, scenery, facilities & ambience.
- Cass (10/5): - Cabins were luxurious and comfortable all at the same time. Breakfast so delicious! the stairs but that's just because of my youchy knees. The hand rails were a godsend!
- CRAIG (6/5): Ok for a night or two, price didn't meet expectation, no toilet door, no microwave etc, - Breakfast was great, the view was good, staff very friendly, spa tub was good. Staff very helpful and do their best to help. No door on the toilet, no privacy, the bed mattress not real comfortable, had a mattress topper to try and improve comfort and make the bed look wider. Stairs very steep to get to your room with luggage, parking is tight, helps if you have a small car. To hang your cloths the cupboard is in the toilet, price did not meet expectation, fix some of these concerns or lower the price, overall was an ok stay.
- Julie (10/5): A perfectly romantic stay - Our room was beautiful with generous size bathroom and fabulous amenities. Very comfortable large bed. Delicious breakfast with warm service. Easy check in and check out. Will definitely stay again! We wouldn’t improve on anything, very happy.
- Geoff (10/5): Absolutely fabulous and will definitely be back for another stay - Absolutely fabulous in all aspects the view from the cabin was breathtaking, breakfast was superb, staff were so friendly, beautiful location and so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended. Everything was fabulous I can’t fault anything
- Margaret (8/5): Nice clean room , staff pleasant and helpful - Location to the event I was attending I was in room under main building so could hear people walking around above me. Parking near room was not easy either due to layout of facility
- Bruce (9/5): Will come again, and highly recommend - Awesome English breakfast, coffee and juice Thrown a little with no toilet door
- Hayley (9/5): -
- Gwen (9/5): Great place to stay. Love the spa - Great place to stay. Love the spa Breakfast was very small
- Candice (7/5): -
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Judy (3/5): Disappointed for the money - Quiet Definitely for city people. View is of the mountain with a house and electricity poles. No microwave should you need to heat anything. No privacy to actually use the bathroom as it has no door. Basically it’s a bedroom with ensuite. No cover for cars. Won’t be returning
- Gemma (10/5): -
- Chantalle (9/5): A nice little recharge. - It was private and peaceful. Staff were lovely, responsive, confident and friendly. The Ploughman's picnic was a lovely addition to our stay and the breakfast menu was perfect as well as the scenic views. 👌 The kitchen area was quite small and couldn't really do much in the nook provided. No kitchen bin so had to use the bathroom bin.
- Phillipus (10/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): - Nothing was too hard for the staff. They were very accommodating
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Kasey (10/5): - Location was beautiful. Breakfast was great. Everything was great. Highly recommend top of the hill for a get away.
- Claire (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): It was worth staying . Comfortable, close to everything and a great view - The breakfast was great and there were no complaints form anyone. the food was well cooked , tasty and filling. There was no door to toilet and shower so no privacy. i susgest installing at least a curtain or screen.
- Liyadari (10/5): - Beautiful location, lovely staff
- Frances Nicole (10/5): -
- Donna (9/5): Pure comfort and restoration - The room was immaculate — super clean, with absolutely no hint that anyone had stayed there before. The bed was unreal, hands down the best sleep I’ve had in months and the main reason we booked the getaway. Pure comfort.
The spa bath was spotless and filled with rainwater, which my skin loved — I could have stayed in it for hours. Breakfast was generous selection! the staff were warm and welcoming. The views were completely private, making it feel like a true escape. I was a little worried about no toilet door and open plan but worked out it's impossible to see through the window and that's all part of the vibe.
- Mark (9/5): It was fantastic. We will definitely return. - Breakfast was delicious and the location was ideal.
- Deepshikha (10/5): Relaxing Stay - Comfortable bed, Amazing breakfast with view and great Host. Recommended for couples Na
- Chris (9/5): Overall, would go back again - View was nice, very clean orderly room Showers in the rooms are very poor, wifi in rooms is non existent
- Annette (9/5): Very comfy, had the brush turkeys building a nest under our cabin - Loved the views & peacefulness. Not much.
- Adam (9/5): A relaxing getaway - Beautiful locale, spotless room interiors, lovely breakfast. Amazing view from the bath especially! Cottage exteriors could use a little clean.
- Emma-leigh (10/5): -
- Tamara (10/5): Beautiful experience - It was so beautiful. The location was stunning. The facilities were so intimate and presented beautifully.. The staff were lovely, nothing was a bother and the breakfast was on point!
- McGill (10/5): Incredible views, helpful and welcoming staff, overall wonderful experience - The view and the service Nothing
- maria (8/5): -
- Jie Sheng (9/5): A relaxing and romantic getaway with spa bath and bed and breakfast - Fantastic value for what you get at this price point. Service was attentive and friendly, at a great peaceful location overlooking the Maleny Hills while you're enjoying your spa. They even cook you breakfast as part of the package, and it is very delicious as well. Some places give you breakfast hampers and you cook yourself, but why bother when they cook it for you as well. A very nice couple escape for a few nights which left us relaxed and recharged. The only thing I would say is that there are some minor signs of imperfections or minor things in our room that indicate some maintenance or uplift is in order to continue to maintain the level of standard expected of this type of accommodation.
- Rynhard (10/5): Beautiful location, lovely cabin, great breakfast = value for money - Lovely location and great facilities - wish we could stay longer Struggled with the TV - only managed to connect to some American channels
- Wendy (8/5): - The view was lovely even though it rained all weekend. The staff always had a smile and was friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be going back. Will be recommending Top of the Hill to our friends and family.
- Tom (10/5): Had a great time, loved it all! - Breakfast was excellent. Very quiet n private. Great area! Nothing, all perfect!
