- Elsa (10/5): Très luxieux - Très luxueux, tout semble parfait. Chambre immense. Surclassement en suite. La clim le matin au petit déjeuner très froide.
- James (8/5): Nice place to stay for a few days - Casino
Large room International food was closed
Road going to resort was terrible. Part dirt road with many holes.
Far from town.

- Tiffany (10/5): Savan Resorts - Savan Resorts is a beautiful hotel thats conveniently located about ten minutes to Savannakhet Airport. When we arrived the staff were attentive and helped us with our bags. We stayed on both sides of the resort which is a casino. The suites were very nice. They have many amenities including a gym, pool, spa, cafe and lots of food options! Everyone that worked there were so kind and were willing to go out of their way to help us. We enjoyed the cafe, spa, and chopstix. On our departure day they told us about their free airport shuttle and their employee Win went with us and helped us check in and stayed with us until we got through security. The service was impeccable I’d definitely stay there again.
- Theresa (2/5): - Extremely foreigner unfriendly unless you are SE or E Asian. If I could give it a zero I would.
- Lee (7/5): It is convenient location - The new area is better That the hotel still takes temperature.. covid finished in 2022
- Keven (10/5): Best hotel I’ve stayed at for a long time - All staff was so helpful 👍
I would recommend the Savan to anyone staying in Savannakhet It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at for a long time
Staff was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Gym and swimming pool very well looked after
And taxi was incredibly helpful too
I look forward to coming to Savan resorts again
- Phommachanh (5/5): Passable -
- Trung (8/5): Nice amenities on the outskirts of town - Nice amenities; outdoor pool; terrace bar; 2 restaurants and a coffee shop Being in a casino, we had to go through a metal detector and have our bags searched each time we entered. The security also didn’t like us waiting in front for our car, and especially didn’t like anyone sitting on the steps (we had an elder lady that needed to rest).
Also everything is paid in Thai baht rather than Lao kip, and their exchange rate was very low if you don’t have the right currency. Laundry service was very expensive for the few items we had washed.
- Antonio (10/5): - Amazing!!!!! Staff was absolutely fantastic!!! Mackey at the bar and pool went above and beyond! He even helped me take a mini photo shoot.
- Ba (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (5/5): Passable - To much sigarette smoke everywhere if you are a non smoker it’s not a good choice to stay
- Chantal (8/5): Was amazing apart from some small things - The staff was super friendly. Everything was clean and the pool amazing. The room was big and very nice. Free parking. Breakfast was very disappointing compared to the high standard of everything else.
The hotel is in a casino and there are not a single sign in the area where to go to the pool, restaurant etc. So we actually went with the bathrobe through thr casino. Someone stopped us and showed us another way. There should be improvement to show the guests where to find what! This was really weird.
- David (6/5): - The hotel was quite nice and realxing but the location is out of the way if you want to explore the city. In addition finding transportation for a reasnable price is a big issue. However if you call the hotel late at night you can have a taxi pick you up as a last resort. Lastly, my girlfriend and i used the laundry service and were shocked at the price $57 USD for a couple underwear, 2 jackets, socks, [4 days worth of cloth] a highway robbery. Overall not the best experience but the actual room was solid.
- Sanderson (8/5): Very good - Very fŕendly staff, newly renovated room I drink a lot of coffee. However, the coffee was designed to keep the individuals wide awake who were playing in the casino, coffee 4/10
- kibong (10/5): - 숙박하기 좋았슴
- Win (8/5): The best Hotel in Savannakhet City. Recommended. - Nice and huge room with good facilities and 24 hours dining room service, very good casino which also shows euro 2024 with two huge screens. Also have good Spa. Everything is cheap with even its standard (Especially foods and drinks). Staffs are friendly but almost all of them can’t speak English and very hard to communicate. Especially when we ordered room service foods. We’ve ordered foods for 4 days and they always came and served wrong dishes with what we ordered. Even if I ordered same menu for everyday, they still wrong. Maybe because of language barrier.
- John (2/5): Very poor -
- Malachi (10/5): I have a great time here, thank you! - Breakfast was awesome! Good variety of food There are no face towels in the room
- Malachi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dong (3/5): Unforgettable casino hotel - The breakfast was okay if you don't have high expectations. There were Lao and western dishes and most of the dishes were tasty. It is far from everything, so you should carefully consider the property if you don't have a vehicle to use. I paid upon check-in, and came to know that the hotel doesn't accept USD in cash, only in credit card. Bear in mind that Thai Baht is the only cash they take, and the deposit needs to be paid in THB (cash only) in any cases.
The cheapest room has a window, but it is towards the casino (hard to see though) and cannot be opened. So the atmosphere is just the same as 'no window room' or 'room on a basement floor'.
One hard part is the smell of cigarette from almost everywhere of the property.
- khu (10/5): - Best Service ever I received from friendly and warmhearted staffs
- Roger (7/5): Good - Great staff More variation on the slot machines.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Karl (8/5): Very good - Its a hotel inside an Casino, it was interesting to watch the different games. Fortunately we were gambling and won.380 USD by luck and we stopped. in order to get to the pool we had to walk in our swimming suits through the Casino.
- Nicole (10/5): Best hotel in this part of Laos - The hotel has great amenities. There is two parts the hotel with the casino and the suites that’s join on. The suites are amazing. The pool, gym and spa are so nice. There is multiple restaurants open all hours which is very handy. It’s very far from the centre of town but once you’re here you really don’t need to leave. The casino is open 24/7 so if you are staying in a normal room and not a suite room it’s a little loud.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kyseisen kylän paras paikka missä yöpyä.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean but the bathroom need to update & the sink need to fix the drain
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good hotel with low price.. We happy when stay here, will recommend peaple.
Next time will book this hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - ราคาเบาๆ ห้องสะอาด มีโชคให้เสี่ยงทั้งคืน อาหารอาหร่อย พนักงานเป็นมิตรมาก สปาสะบายราคาก็ไม่แรง
- Verified traveler (10/5): 굿굿굿 - 호텔은 나름 좋습니다. 넓고... 다좋아요 그러나 근처에 아무것도 없습니다.
- Kem (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - I saw some negative reviews on this hotel so I was reluctant to book. However I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very nice casino/hotel. Room was very clean and spacious. Opened curtains and got a full view of the casino floor. Staff was very very friendly and each shift had an english speaker. The food was excellent. Free shuttle ride back to Thailand. Very nice stay. Only problem was the bed. The bed was felt like I was sleeping on wood with metal springs poking me. Could not sleep on it and left the hotel early because of it. Other than that, excellent.
- Panissara (10/5): - บริการดี อาหารใช้ได้
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed not comfortable. Hot water take to long.not enough toilet paper
- CHRISTOPHER (4/5): Dirty Smoky Old Border Casino with a Hotel - This place is a large border town 24 hour casino complex with a 2 story hotel above it. Half of the rooms have their only windows facing the gaming floor. The casino recently changed hands so maybe they will renovate it. They were renovating the rooms while I was there (flat screen TVs, mini fridges, hot water kettles, and WiFi). The WiFi did have some intrusive program that blocked streaming and torrents as well as access to many international sites. The restaurants, bar, and breakfast were not as depicted. There was no live entertainment the nights I stayed there. They did have a gym, massage/spa, and karaoke room with girls. I was told it was 3000 Thai baht for one of the girls to sit with a guest for an hour. The breakfast was a typical Asian style hotel buffet. I asked about the other food and was told it would take a long time and to order room service. As for the casino part of the hotel I didn't try as it is not really my thing and it was too smoky. It didn't look impressive like Vegas, Macau, or Phnom Phen so it would probably be disappointing if you were serious. The service was unusually good and included bellman, check in, check out, manager, and everyone else. Language barriers existed with most staff but the manager did speak very good English. On a final note the hotel is about 3 KM from the friendship bridge, 5 KM to town, and 8 KM to the colonial plaza. You will need your own transportation or be relying on taxis and tuk tuks.
- Geoff (6/5): OK for 1 night - Was average, Staff were nice, but little english. Hotel only took Thai Baht not Kip, this was frustrating.
- Stuart (6/5): 2 star hotel masquerading as a 4! - This is no more than a 2 star hotel. It was clean and breakfast had a choice but not of a great standard. The rooms were okay but nothing to write home about. The whole ambience is rather dingy due to the casino being in permanent darkness, even the curtains were drawn n the breakfast room. However, my lasting memory will be that of the staff, while they were helpful and polite when needed they looked completely bored and totally fed up with life, especially those in the casino. Any interaction with staff at reception, cafe etc was meet with shock that someone should be talking with them, then confusion as they did not know how to react. Working conditions and pay of staff I would suspect is not good and my room looked onto what appeared to be workers quarters. I felt so sorry for the predominantly young work force who seem to have settled for what appears to be a miserable existence. This feeling is transferred to the guests. With not much choice in Suvvanakhet this hotel seems to be the only choice. There is nowhere within walking distance from the hotel to go to. Wifi in room was terrible until we got a router fitted. We were told 20 min then had to call again twice before we managed to get it!
- Sean (8/5): Good value if booked early. - About the best you can get in Savannakhet.
- Syewhian (10/5): - I being stay at this hotel many time , it good service provided by receptionist and housekeeping team,
but first the room provide me at 1st sty is in poor condition carpark with black oil stain , shower head came off, flushing system not working, strong cigcrete smear, later put me to 2nd sty newly renovated room, it condition is better than the 1st sty, hope the hotel get it renovate the 1st sty at main building
