Guest Reviews
Cuisine rustique, limite propre.
- Gill (5/5): - Breakfast poor compared to other places we stayed on La Gomera.
Window in bathroom needed replacing.
Rusty look rolls holder

Kein Personal gesehen, alles telefonisch.
- Wolfram (7/5): -
- Mercedes (7/5): - Las terrazas. La posibilidad de cocina.
- FRANCISCO JAVIER (4/5): The room in front of the common area is not worthy at all - This rural hotel is just in the middle of the Hermigua town, so it is in a perfect location to start all the trekking paths that you want to do in this so beautiful area. The hotel is nice and the room is clean, and although it is just in front of the main road, during the night you will not be disturbed by the noise of the cars, but unfortunately, by other elements as I will explain in next section. My room was located just in the first floor with its window in front of the "zona común" that is, an open space with chairs and tables, where people can go to have dinner, breakfast, have some beers, etc. So this means that you don't have any intimacy as everybody can see what you are doing in the room, so it was an awkward situation, specially during the evening because there was quite many persons in this zone, enjoying their meals and beers, and you didn't have any privacy in your own room. Furthermore, just in the basement there is a quite large fish tank with lots of fish, which is very pretty, but it has a water fountain to constantly refresh the water. Well, at night, the noise of the water running is extremely annoying because you can hear it perfectly from the bedroom. It's a pity because Hermigua is a very quiet town from late afternoon onwards, and it should be a real pleasure to be able to sleep with the window open, breathing in the fresh sea air. But with the common area disturbance and the all-night wretched noise from the fish tank, it was impossible to have a comfortable experience.
- A Vergeer (8/5): - Prima locatie, goed bed en afeervol huis.
- Nina (7/5): -
- Greg (8/5): - Very nice apartment.

- Tanausu (7/5): -
- Laura Selene (10/5): - El trato cercano
- Alvaro (10/5): - Estupendo
- Barry (9/5): Charming building in rural village. - Authentic old style accommodation. In a lovely village. Communal cooking area. Lovely balcony with view (room 11) Lack of information, self check in. Information sheet not legible (blurred).
- Richmond (9/5): Superb - Character of the place, lovely communal areas, useful well stocked kitchen area
helpful friendly staff. Ideal for my needs. Nothing
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Views were amazing, the terrace and small kitchen were very useful, especially for budget travellers.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - The stay was very relaxing. The elevated common area was great, with fabulous view of the sea.
- Inge (6/5): Pleasant - The terrace on the roof was nice to relax. The small kitchen was handy to stow away things in the fridge. Very impersonal reception: paper on the entrance. It felt more like an old rather poorly maintained house then a casa rural. Basic room and shower.
- Black (8/5): Very good -
- Giuseppe (6/5): Decent hotel for a short stay - Good location and nice terrace A bit old beds and furnitures, especially the bathroom. Overall ok but nothing great.
Not super clear how to do the check-in and if there was an option for breakfast.
- Petrus (8/5): - Perfect for people hiking on La Gomera. Good communication with the owner through the app since the reception only opens in the morning.
- Adrian (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed. Traffic noise in the morning...room was 1st floor by the road
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (8/5): Cute rambling property with relaxed vibe combining best bits of hotel/apartment/hostel - once we figured out how - Great location for hiking, cute rambling property over several floors meant it felt private. We had a balcony with view of hills and coast. Relaxed vibe once we got our heads around what a hotel rural actually is it really worked. It's basically a hotel/apartment/hostel with all the best bits of each. So private room/en-suite with daily cleaning - basic but clean and functional; plus a nice communal lounge area; plus a communal kitchen with hob, microwave and coffee machine. We made our own breakfasts, lunches and one (basic) evening meal (pasta) meaning we set our own timetable and fitted round activities plus cheaper. Staff really friendly. It would have helped to have had a message ahead of arrival to explain how things worked, where to find the key etc. although instructions were provided on a note pinned to the front door!
- Marguerite (8/5): - A lovely quaint property, walking distance to village. Nice private terrace and shared terrace. Kitchen facilities available where yiu can make your own coffee, food etc. Hreat value for the price.
- Elin (10/5): - Really nice hotel with everything you need, a nice terrace and great views of the valley.
- Arnold (8/5): Terrasjes maakte veel goed. - Leuk hotelletje. Mooie terrasjes. Matras was wel hard. Weinig contact met personeel.
- Henning (10/5): Lovely little Hotel in lovely town - Very cozy, great views from the terrace, lovely Town, friendly staff, not too crowded! Restaurants, Supermarkets, the Beach and Mountainviews nearby All good.
- Charlotte (10/5): - This is a beautiful, rustic hotel in a wonderful town in the mountains. It’s simple, but comfortable. The terrace is wonderful and I loved the many plants decorating each corner of the hotel. Make sure to have a working phone and ask for the owner’s phone number beforehand, in case you don’t find any instructions when you arrive. Everything worked perfectly for us, but several guests were locked out and we had to let them in and help them connect to the owner upon their arrival. Ask for a room on the ground floor if you have physical restrictions or difficulties climbing stairs.
- Tindur (7/5): Good -
- John (5/5): I wouldn’t return again. My booked taxi for the airport didn’t turn up. - Good location, peaceful and quiet. No lift, no Wi-Fi, little house keeping.
- Emma (1/5): I can't recommend this place at all, they're not there for check in, they give you wrong room etc. - I was happy to go away It was awful. They took my money, but no-one was there for check in. I went there during the agreed check in.
No one was there, and my contacts were not answered. I waited half an hour. By chance, an employee of the accommodation apparently passed by and let me in in a hurry and gave me a room. I had to leave immediately after receiving the keys because I was already late for the meeting due to the delay in the accommodation.
When I returned to the hotel, I found out that I had been given the wrong room. My reservation says that I have reserved a room with a terrace. The room I got did not have a terrace. The terrace was the reason why I booked this particular hotel.
I contacted the hotel and booking.com again and asked which room I should move to, because the room is clearly wrong. No one responded to my numerous contact attempts. No one answered the contacts afterwards either. I can't recommend this place at all, dishonest activity.
No volveré jamás.
- C (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Perfect! - It's a lovely traditional hotel with panoramic views from the balconies. Lots of flowers and character. Nice little kitchen, guests can use the washing machine,, they even have traditional steel-tipped walking poles. Hermosa is the perfect base foe hiking in la Gomera. Really friendly, helful staff. Willl be back next year!
- Minaben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional - Extraordinary house... interesting surroundings
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Giulia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (9/5): very comfortable met lots of other travelers. great place to stay in the mountains!! interesting to check in with no one - it was very quaint.
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Chloe (8/5): - As you can see in the photo, but we did not realise at time of booking, is that there is a lovely terrace outside and open-sided sitting room. This is a great place for having breakfast, doing yoga or having a drink while watching the sun go down. There is also a mini-kitchen where you can prepare simple food. The room was simple but fine, with its own small balcony. Francie, the receptionist, was friendly and helpful and corrected my Spanish! We were a little confused by info on check-in time, but reception is generally open from 8am-1pm and we were welcomed to check-in at 11am as we arrived off the local bus.
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Frode (9/5): Superb - The frendlyness and the quietness and god air!
- Susan (7/5): Good - Quirky stairs up to room in the roof tops. Quiet room. Friendly staff (but only there in the mornings, so i saw them only once). 1) No staff present in the afternoons and evenings. If you leave a note on the door for a foreign visitor arriving for the first time, please write it in English as well as Spanish! i only got in cos of my taxi driver's kind help. i'd been travelling for over 30 hours, so was very tired. It was dark, the town was empty, there was nobody to ask for help... i was afraid i'd have to sit outside all night with no sleep!
2) The automatic light doesn't last long enough for a new visitor to find their room on the top floor! It all went dark, and i could not find another light switch to press. Quite dangerous for someone old or frail or unstable on their feet/ balance...
- Kati (5/5): Passable -
- Csaba (7/5): Good -
- Imre (9/5): Superb -
- Angel (8/5): Quietness - Very quiet hotel.
Terrasse. Netter fruehstuecksraum mit einfachem, aber ausreichendem Fruehstueck.
- Göran (8/5): Cosy hotel in Hermigua - One of the cheaper hotels on La Gomera with basic amenities. . If nobody is in the reception you need to call them., phone number is on the door. The hotel is close to the center of Hermigua. It is about 30 minutes from the port in San Sebastian.
There is a restaurant in the hotel with excellent food (apart from the pizza). Breakfast is included. There are a few other restaurants in the town, the best in my view was Tasca Telémaco which is close tho the church in the center of the town.
Most people I met on La Gomera were there for the hiking. Typically people sleep in one town and then have a rental car to do excursions on the island.
- Rainer (10/5): NettesHotel mit einheimischen Flair - Ein Stück ursprüngliches Spanien
- A (4/5): Sählinkiä varauksen kanssa - Kun saavuimme, jouduimme ensin pitkään odotelemaan palvelua. .
- Prudol (6/5): Quirky hotel. - Stayed here one night whilst walking on the island.
Reception is a bit hit and miss.
The rooms are nicely scattered around leafy courtyards. There is a sun terrace, small shop/kitchen and a computer/lounge room.
The surroundings are not inspiring but there is easy access to other parts of the island.
Our bedroom was spacious but rather tired [shabby chic]. The shower room adequate.
Breakfast was a little tardy but satisfying eventually. The proprietor seemed friendly enough.
If staying longer would be best to treat this place as an apparthotel.
- HenkN_13 (2/5): If there is any choice, avoid this place - The title says enough: no hospitality, no service, usually no reception (so you have to call the owner when you arive), we got one towel for two persons, no cover for the cushion, it wasn't clean, it took five minutes before the shower got warm, and so on. The good thing is the terrace and the minimarket where you can buy some items like water, wine, beer, juice, canned fish etc. You deserve better!
