John (9/5): Great Anniversary weekend in a great town. - We had lunch and dinner during our weekend. Both were incredibly delicious. My wife does not like seafood and i do so your menu was awesome. Bed could be a bit former for this older body but that's being very picky. Everything was delightful as much as the town was.

Nicole (9/5): We love Boothby Harbor and staying at Tugboat Inn. We can't wait to go back! - We love the Tugboat Inn. The view is just perfect and I have to say they have the nicest staff! I spoke with several ladies and every one of them were so nice, polite and ready to answer any questions we had. Our thoughts are really not a huge negatives, but the parking in the back area is on a huge dock. It's wonderful, but it's full of nails that are bent over and not nailed all the way into the dock. So just worried about getting a flat.

Nancy Mac (10/5): Great waterfront harbor location, close walking distance to town and amenities. - Our room was certainly a true waterfront working harbor view. Fantastic, rain or shine. This is our fourth year staying here in May and a destination we always look forward to visiting. A short walk to downtown, shops, great restaurants including one onsite in a real tugboat. Our room was very clean, not fancy but well equipped and had all we needed. Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a short car trip and definitely worth the ride! Everything was fine for our needs, but could use a little better outlet layout for laptop connection, phone charging. The shower in our particular room was within a step in tub. Ok for us but not for those with ambulatory difficulties.

The Tugboat Restaurant has a great menu and the wait staff were friendly. My room is a bit "dated" but I was aware of that in advance. That said, there's not many places where you can look out the window or step out your front door and have a great view of the harbor for a reasonable price! Nothing to suggest.

Dorothy (5/5): Disappointing - View from room Cleaner newer furniture. The bathroom needs a good cleaning and a new shower rusted faucets! Get rid of the carpets. Rooms need an overhaul. I would not stay again. The main restaurant in hotel not good!
Susan (8/5): You can’t beat the location right on the water! - Excellent location. Breakfast not included. Comfy bed. Quiet night. Close to downtown. Nice balcony! Bathroom fixtures need updating. TV tricky to turn on, directions would have been helpful. It took a long time for response. Towels a tad dingy.

john316v (10/5): Loved It! - We absolutely loved this place! Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but the views every day are why you need to stay here. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping, but the Tugboat Restaurant is great and on site. I would highly recommend Ports of Italy as well. Get a reservation. This town is an incredible place and we will be back next year...at The Tugboat.
Robin (10/5): A warm and comfortable stay. - Due to weather conditions, I was moved to a room with a private balcony. It was very cold Christmas night and the heater was perfect. It ran when needed, and it wasn't so noisy that it interfered with sleep. Nothing stands out. I slept well and comfortably at the hotel.
Eric (6/5): worth a visit, great location on the harbor - Great location, right on the water, next to the downtown, Opera house within walking distance, beautiful views of the harbor. Parking included. I was unable to get a beer at 7:30 pm, even though the dining room was still open, I was told something happened and the bar wasn't open, so I drove the hannaford's and got my beer there. Bathroom could have used a deep cleaning.

Room was small for 4 people. Only 1 night stand and 2 chairs. The microwave was on the dresser, safe was on the floor. No Luggage rack.

Ronald (7/5): We did not get the room we wanted because of an error by the Booking service. - The Tugboat has a great location in the heart of Boothbay Harbor and is within easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It is also a fairly easy drive to the Botanical Gardens, Maine Aquarium, and points along the shore. We were there during the week in the off-season, so the area may get very busy and congested during a peak season. We did not get the room that we had reserved on the Booking.com website because Booking.com did not properly communicate our request and reservation to the Tugboat Inn. It was disappointing to find out on arrival that the reservation had been botched by Booking.com and that we were assigned to a room that was different from what we had requested and paid for.

The view from our room was beautiful & the wrap around deck was awesome! We had dinner in the restaurant & enjoyed our food & the atmosphere. The bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Heather (9/5): Fall getaway - Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. You can walk to the shops in town, many restaurants to chose from and a beautiful view. We stayed here and walked to shuttle for Gardens Aglow event. It was a nice stay for a fall getaway. We imagine summer would be gorgeous.

Waitress apologized. No offer of discount or free dessert. I didn’t have time to wait for the food to be heated or another meal prepared.

Sharon (10/5): We really enjoyed our trip on Boothbay and the hotel is located on the wharf . The view was gorgeous - Most restaurants were closed for breakfast during our one night stay. I’m not sure if it’s because of morning raining or for some other reasons. Otherwise our stay at Boothbay Harbor was really nice and we enjoy his town and night lights at the Oceanside Botanical Garden in Boothbay. Thankful the weather was good that night. None

Being off season with not much open in walking distance, more coffee and more sugar packets 5 times the amount would be nice. It would have been enjoyable to make a couple cups of sweet coffee and watched the lobster boats go out in morning

Katrina (7/5): Was nice great location and food at restaurant was perfect.Service at both was great - It was on the water and had a balcony and very good restaurant on the property and they fixed our jammed up door very quickly and it worked great after that. The little tug boat pillows are cute! The bathroom was very cramped and not enough towels. The picture and description of the room I rented was not the same as what I got. I picked a room that had a separation wall between the beds and each area had their own tv and the room was a corner room with lots of windows and a glass door that went out to private balcony. My friend had trouble bringing her suitcase up and down the stairs.

Elizabeth (9/5): Stay here for the location and views! - Location is perfect, rooms are a bit outdated but who cares when you have a beautiful view of the harbor, sunrise and sunset! Staff was amazing, helpful and personable. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, visit the Friends of the Library bookstore for your vacation reads! Footbridge Brewery had some of the best craft brews we have had in a long time. Don't miss Ports of Italy for dinner, worth every penny!
