Guest Reviews
- Seymour (9/5): A little gem in a small onsen village. - Breakfast was awesome.
Onsen was great, the foot bath room with welcome drinks was lovely. Our room was on the river side and the view was so beautiful. I should have asked the service staff about the lift to the bus stop. Only 9 minutes walk but would be easier if we could have had a lift.

- Mike (5/5): - The Gift shop lady at ground floor extended help and effort to help to ensure the snowboard bag get delivered to airport via TA Q Bin (aka black cat Yamato) and advise accordingly. Deeply Appreciated on this matter The Kitchen staff (Japanese guy tall with spec) yelling at us when we are late for breakfast. My mum and sis was shocked at the table manner as this moron bang the cutlery with loud noise while we still dinning for our breakfast. Yes, we are slight late 9:10am which the actual closing time 9am but still I had been travel across Japan for the past 10year, this is VERY BAD INFLUENCE ON THE RYOKAN HOTEL and what embarrassed more is actually the rude male staff (tall with black spec) is a Nihonjin (Japanese) WHAT A SHAME on service line. Absolutely nightmare experience to chase away all the customer dinning in the restaurant.

- Ryan (10/5): Great place to relax and recharge. Our holiday was great here and probably a lot due to staff member Suzuki helping us w - It’s a very relaxing place. You can come here to unwind. Onsen is great. I skied while my wife would sometimes come to the ski resort or other times stay here. It has convenient shuttle busses. Special mention for staff member Suzuki. Very nice lady and she is an asset to them and really made our stay great. She has good English and helped me navigate shuttle busses for skiing and when we move on, helped us find restaurants in a quiet areas, helped me forward my luggage, made phone calls to arrange hire cars for day trips. She really did a lot and we are very grateful. Come here if you want time out, you can ski but you need to take the shuttles if you don’t have a car. They run through the day from about 8:30-5pm roughly depending where you go and it’s about 15 minutes to smaller ski resorts or 40 minutes to bigger ones like hakuba goryu 47. Hardest part and also a great part is it is far from things. Think tiny village suburb where things open at very random times. Make sure you bring cash here! If you eat at restaurants out the resort you will need it!

- Anca (7/5): - It is situated in a very quiet area, with a nice view of the mountains. I didn’t like the fact that they had no restaurant to eat dinner at or that it was a bit cold inside, both the hotel and room.

- Vincy (3/5): - The property is old. As we already knew the location is not nearby the city centre, but there is no any food arrangements in hotel. We asked if there is any food when the time is 6pm, but the hotel reject any possibility, we finally drove to city centre for the food as well.
Also, once we need to leave the hotel, they required guest to keep the room key at reception, it is pretty weird.
- Patiphan (10/5): - This hotel is very child-friendly, and the staff communicate extremely well and are truly attentive. The service was excellent throughout our stay. The room was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable, allowing us to sleep well. The view was stunning and added to the relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the hotel felt very welcoming to international travelers. The onsen was beautifully designed and very relaxing. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.

- Shellyn (10/5): It was one of our families best Christmas celebration. - It was one of our most memorable places during our vacation in Japan. The place was simply breathtaking in terms of views, amenities, friendly staff, and overall ambiance. The food was really great bringing in authentic Japan from presentation, taste, flavor, and very healthy. The foot onsen in the garden was one of our favorites as we shared stories while sitting outside, you can’t feel the coldness as you are so soaked into a relaxing atmosphere. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, the town has beautiful snowy landscapes and charming atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this time I feel I must.I originally booked a 50 m² room for two people, but my friend canceled last minute and I checked in alone. At the front desk, I was asked if I wanted to cancel the second guest, and I confirmed that the room itself would not change, which they agreed to.However, after entering the room, it was clearly not 50 m², probably around 20 m² at most.I went back to the front desk for an explanation.First, I was told this was the largest room in the hotel.Later, they changed their story and offered an upgrade for an extra 5,500 yen. After more waiting, they asked me to check another room upstairs, and even after that, there was further waiting. In the end, they changed me to a slightly larger room.It is closer to the promotional photos, but I still doubt it is actually 50 m².This whole process took over one hour during dinner time, and I had to stay hungry throughout. The hotel facilities themselves are relatively high-end and decent, but nothing particularly impressive for the price. Moreover, this onsen town is very remote. If you travel here by bus from Shinano-Omachi, there are no buses after 4 PM, so please plan carefully before booking. The main problem was not only the room size, but the inconsistent explanations and unprofessional communication.

- Arnaud (9/5): Beautiful hotel and onsen at very good price! - Very nice hotel surrounded by nature. Location was peaceful and beautiful. Hotel was very nice and clean. Onsen was big and very nice. Very large interior pools at 41 and 36 degrees as well as a very big 41 degrees outdoor pool (the 36 degrees pool outside was a bit small). Japanese style room was beautiful and very large. Perfect stay! The last breakfast (on day 3) was continental style and not amazing, especially compared to the one proposed on the two first days (incredible japanese breakfast). So if you stay one or two days only, go for breakfast!
