Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hull massive - Properrrr banging security guard was brilliant service was good calm people
- MRS Dorothy (6/5): - Didn't sleep much do to cotinually doors banging
- oluwadamilola (8/5): - It was warm
- oluwadamilola (8/5): - It was within a good price range for the value offered; only annoying thing is that check out is 11am not 12pm like most hotels
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel , close to town center quiet and clean - Nice and easy check , rooms was clean and tidg and functional . All good , cloee to town center and bus stop .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No breakfast as advertised!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place to stay, very warm comfortable rooms at a fair price, couldn't ask for more.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good no frills budget accommodation good no frills budget accomodation
- Ron (2/5): Not recommended. - Would never stay again. Advertised as a nice place to stay - it's not. We had a room attached to the carpark, not in the hotel complex, and our door was next to the driveway of the hotel from the street. No secure parking in an area which is very dodgy. Hotel seem to cater for single males who loitered around the carpark. Didn't feel safe in the room with our flimsy door so close to the street and didn't like car parked in a non-secure area. It's a dodgy area of Hull. Staff were abrupt and not at all pleasant. Got the impression we were an inconvenience to them. Never again and I would not recommend it to couples or families. A single male who likes to smoke and drink - its the perfect place to stay!!
- JOYSON (8/5): - The room is nice and clean. The staff are very helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My room had a strong smell of bleach with was the only bad thing .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value for money, only a short bus ride to the centre of Hull
- David (8/5): Good value - Got there late so didn't experience much around the local area.
The lady on the desk was friendly and it was clean enough.
That's all I ask for at those prices!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was ideal for me and the price mase it something of a bargain
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basic hotel, OK for the price and location was convenient for me. Friendly staff. Decent car park. Seemed secure. Good for one night stay.
- Adam (6/5): Dorchester - In gerneral I would recommend the Dorchester however I found the bed to be very uncomfortable. That said the Hotel is very cheap and overall a pleasant experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Cheaply decorated and functional if you’re not a light sleeper. Free parking and not far from the university.
- David B (8/5): Business - Good value for money on business
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Arrived at the hotel to find that they do not do breakfast ( website said they do ) , after checking into what wAs described as a brand new built annex we arrived at a very small room with no windows (except a skylight looking straight up) , a very cheap and uncomfortable bed which I was dubious would take our weight and a small child size chair.
The en-suite was clean but the shelf above the sink was hanging off , the room did have tea/coffee making facilities but the small cartons of milk were all off ..... overall you get what you pay for and at £31 for the night we did .
A cheap budget hotel
The only positive was the restaurant next door ( Isabella’s ) which served amazing food at excellent prices and we will definitely be eating there again .
- Verified traveler (10/5): No problems - No problems
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly. Easy to get to. Above expectations. Staff helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - all good apart from the bed, you could feel every spring
- James (6/5): Average - This is very cheap, and may suit some people. Receptionist on the door so no prospect of smuggling friends in. Restaurant on site is closed on Tuesday eves. Takeaway that sells beer by the traffic lights.
- Dave (10/5): - Staff were great managed to change room at no extra cost on checking in. Would recommend
- ANDREW (8/5): No frills but good value - Budget price quite okay for our one night stay. The adjoining Italian restaurant was a plus, particularly as the main road was closed for road works. We did not need to leave the premises.
- adriano (10/5): - espectacular
- amanda (8/5): - our room was lovely, clean and tidy. hotel staff were very friendly
- Santiago (8/5): - good and accommodating
- Verified traveler (10/5): Basic, clean, comfortable hotel - No complaints. Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Pretty basic, but also very reasonably priced. This was my second visit and i would definitely stay again.
- Roger (6/5): Nice and cheap hotel in Hull - Nice hotel between University and city centre, car park inside, do not offer
breakfast but so close many options including Tesco Express, guests can
go to the Italian restaurant Francesca without leave the building.
- Ian (10/5): Basic but who cares at these prices? - Is this place very basic? Yes. Is this place dirty? No. Would I stay here with my missus on a break? No. Would I stay here again if I was working nearby and simply needed a bed? Yes.
Can I complain at £28? Absolutely not.
- Ollie (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice little room, very clean and great value for money, would definitely stay again!
- Gunness Dave (4/5): - Basic Accomodation... door locks a concern... no cups in the bathroom... tv in a bad postion... poor decoration in bathroom... bedding cleàn comfortable... value for money at £30
- stephen (8/5): The Dorchester Hotel - Hotel was clean very welcoming the only problem was with the spring bed, squeaking every time I moved. Very quite local area, heating ok no problems very good overall I would stay again. Plenty of places to eat locally, Pubs a little further away. Parking was fine security cameras in car park good prices
- KEVIN (6/5): Hull - Hotel was ok but surrounding area is very run down.
- Christopher (8/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic standard but great value for money. Would stay again and recommend for travellers on a budget.
- David (10/5): Clean and comfy stay with grandson - Arrived after 10pm so keys were left in secure area and we were given correct instructions to collect them
Room was clean and beds comfy
For the money paid it was excellent value if you just want a clean comfy bed and a watch of the telly and a shower before u leave
- David (2/5): Terrible place - Wouldn’t put a dog in this place!!!!!
- Johhny (6/5): - Only their 1 night but generally very good and confortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Booked this hotel based on the low price, and close proximity to the university where I was working next day. Plenty of available free parking when I arrived just after 5pm, but I did have to sit in a long and very slow queue of traffic to reach the hotel. Had to ring buzzer to be let in, check in was fairly swift, and I was shown to my room. Room was relatively clean and comfortable (for a single room), with good quality bed linen. Good wifi. Bathroom looked like it had seen better days. The laminated signs everywhere threatening additional charges were not subtle, and didn't lend to being made to feel entirely welcome. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel looked rather overpriced for what was on offer, I ended up walking 10-15 minutes up the road to a pub for dinner. All in all, if you just want a cheap bed for the night in Hull, it does the job.
- michael (2/5): Find somewhere else - This has got to be one of worst hotels I've stayed in. Just Outside the window there was a bank of about six air conditioning units, these.made a continuios noise the whole night. The bed squicked, bathroom had soap dispenser with no soap!!.
Never again.
