Sophie (4/5): Hot, but good for the price. - The staff were lovely and very helpful, and they let us store our bags before our check in time. The location was good too. The blossoms outside our window were beautiful. It was incredibly hot in our room despite it not being hot outside, and there was no way to cool the room down. It made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The toilet room had some kind of generator in there, and it sounded quite scary! The bathroom was a little grimy and old, but good for the price.

芙美子 (4/5): - スタッフの皆さんはとても親切で気持ちいい接客をして下さいました。ホテルは新しい建物と古い２棟があり、選択時にどちらか記載はなし。今回、古いイースト棟を案内されたが、掃除は行き届いているが、カビ臭く、畳はシミだらけ、壁もツギハギ、布団は生乾き臭く干してる感じはなく、寝る時は匂いが気になり、家から持参したタオルで匂いを紛らわせて寝ました。食事は簡易的な感じでグルメを求めてる人はがっかりするかも。本当に接客は素晴らしいので、壁紙の張り替えと畳の張り替えを是非ともお願いしたいです。お風呂も気持ちよかったです。

Ronan (9/5): Relaxing stay - Nice onsen and within walking distance of the train station and beach. The breakfast was mostly Japanese style food. The staff were confused by the booking.com process and thought I wasn't meant to get the included breakfast, but once this was resolved it was all good.

Yin (9/5): Very good onsen hotel in Itu - Nice location, very good breakfast with lots of choices. The onsen is quite nice with sauna, jacuzzi which seldom found in other onsen hotel. The hotel staff is extremely nice and provide above average hospitality and services. Very happy to give this hotel a recommendation. It is a very traditional Onsen hotel which may seem a bit outdated for some younger generations.

Barbara (9/5): Superb - I really enjoyed the spectacular breakfast buffet which I had on both days. The walk by the ocean was wonderful. The room was very big, much too big for one person. The onsen was beautiful, with indoor and outdoor areas, and a cold plunge area. The building was kept up well, and seemed like it was from the 80s. Nice modern and at the same time old-fashioned. The rooms were spare, but had nice woodwork, and comfortable futons and tatami sitting area, as well as a western sitting area. The room was very quiet, but also probably was at half-occupancy. If I go back I will certainly enjoy that breakfast again (traditional plus western ), and spend more time in the onsen. I had a wee bit of trouble making my way around the town, because of my very limited Japanese. I visited right after the restrictions were dropped, in late December 2022, and had to figure out how to communicate. I walked all over the town, and a lot of things were closed because of the holiday. There were some really nice renewal projects: the sea walls, the clear water at the seaside, and there were fantastic pathways connecting through the townalongside the rivers. These were totally worth following along.
