- Paul (2/5): - The hotel called us the night before we were due to arrive to say they had double booked. They offered to put us in their sister hotel Normanhurst hotel,Sale. This hotel was absolutely dreadful and the place should be condemned. We can not comment on original booked hotel as we never got to see it. Whilst the staff were very apologetic we would not of accepted their alternative hotel if we had know the terrible state of the building and rooms. We are absolutely disgusted.

- Stephen (6/5): Basic but clean - Hotel is well-sited for Metrolink & various eateries nearby. Room was basic but clean & large enough. The only downside was the extreme noise from within the hotel with thin walls allowing audible chatter at 2am.
- Susan (8/5): Another good stay in this no frills hotel - We have stayed many times at this no frills hotel which is perfectly located for when we visit our daughter or are flying from Manchester and need to stay over the night before. We are always made welcome. The rooms in the hotel are very variable with some better than others but the general cleanliness is good. Furniture and curtains etc is often mismatched so expect a little bit quirky. Very handy for town, shops, restaurants and pubs and they are happy for you to leave your car in the car park before or after check in/out which is very convenient. There were no glasses in the room but had we asked I am sure they would have provided some.

- Verified traveler (4/5): unkempt - The hotel grass was overgrown, the property looked unkempt, i initially wondered if the hotel was operational. my room was in the basement. there was no fan in my room and i couldn't open my window because it was at the level of the overgrown grass. there was no towel in the room. ok but not worth the price
- Verified traveler (4/5): This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. - We only saw one member of staff who was very helpful. This was definitely not a 4 star hotel. Carpets were a trip hazard, mattresses and pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The hot water was not very hot, had to boil a kettle for a shave.

It's not far to the airport the next morning and Sale is lovely for a bit of shopping or a meal in one of the pubs close by. Yes it's in need of a little update but it's cheap and convenient and everything is clean. Would highly recommend.

Saw receptionist when arrived and never saw anyone on desk again. On arrival receptionist was not very communicative or helpful. Basically here is key and there is your room.

My room was large and well equipped with everything I needed for a short stay. We checked in slightly early which didn't seem to be a problem and we weren't asked to pay for the privilege which seems to the the new trend with some hotels

Didn't feel a welcoming response more they doing us a favour. Bedroom and bathroom could do with a much more though deep clean as very dusty and dirty. Bed was clean but on pulling guilt over myself I dread to think what it was like inside as just felt like lumps. Only really good thing in room was soap as in a sealed package and smelt lovely. I know this is a old place but could hear every noise of people above walking around at night. Carpet in bedroom very dirty felt as I needed to keep shoes on. Was glad to leave in morning never said anything after unwelcoming arrival seemed no point. Before booking checked reviews as do with everything and seemed very good so very disappointed. We would of paid extra for breakfast if place had been up to standard

- Michael (6/5): would not stay again - I Could not connect to the internet wrong password error kept appearing. I was told breakfast started at 7am i arrived at 6.50 and waited until 7.15am and phoned the number give and had no answer so left having NO breakfast which had been paid for .very poor
- Grzegorz (4/5): Nightmare! - When I walked in the room was freezing cold! Then I realised how dirty it was around. The only clean thing in my room was the bedding (thank god). Then in the morning there was no hot water, showered in cold instead. The same thing happened for the next 4 mornings. When I spoke to reception about it, I was told to get up at least 2hrs earlier if I wanted to have some hot water. 3 days in, and my room still hasn’t been cleaned. When I went to reception I was told I need to ask for cleaning because of new rules they’ve implemented. But the worse thing is, every single morning I woke up with bites around my body, at first I thought I was allergic to something, but on my last night I found lots of tiny spiders in my bed. When I pulled out the bed there were hundreds of them! I will never stay in this hotel again!
- Stephen (4/5): - Good location, with easy access to Sale station and various bars and restaurants nearby. Staff OK but rooms old fashioned with cleanliness in parts of property questionable. Lots of marks on wall and floor in our bathroom, and the common areas poorly maintained. Rooms warm and stuffy so needed to open windows or use a fan. Issues with plumbing during one day which meant no cold water in our rooms. No daily room cleaning so no change of towels etc.. Note for those with limited mobility, some stairs very steep. Also reception closes in the evening, so if planning a late check-in, sort it out in advance with the staff. Being part of a chain of hotels, I expected better. I thought this was poor and not value for money.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Manchester Lay Over - I travelled up to Manchester to pick up an overseas engineer before moving on to Leeds. I booked an economy room, so wasn't expecting much, as it was only for 1 night. I was late arriving, although I tried to called the venue no one picked up my message. Evenly got checked in fine, to be told there was no breakfast available. Luckily the Premier at the Airport take walk ins. The room and facilities were clean and tidy, all be it in need of refresh. Refreshments are provided by an over priced vending machine. If you're looking for a cheap place to get your head down for the night and not looking for all the bell and whistles its OK.

- Peter (4/5): Okay, but expensive for what it was - This was an okay hotel in a quiet location within walking distance of trams to both Old Traffords and city centre; but for the price I would have expected (1) more than one towel (2) a bedside lamp or switch for main light (3) More than one pillow (4) Proper coffee at breakfast (I was served a pot of hot water and sachets of instant). The bathroom was spacious, but the actual shower rather cramped!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Awful - book a Travelodge instead - Awful place. The plus sides. The bedding was clean and so was the bathroom. Everything else was awful. My room smelled damp. Outside the room smelled damp. The whole place is tired and needs an overhall. The "garden" and car park need tidying and weeding. The TV control needs to be either really cleaned or just thrown away and a new one. Awful nights sleep. I travelled from Glasgow and was shattered yet couldn't sleep. Was awake until way after midnight as all I could hear were the others guests shouting and doors banging about. Left at 3am. Outside needs a good paint and the windows need replacing. Looks very uninviting and absolutely not worth the money. Would be better staying in a Travelodge.
- Carole (4/5): Disappointing stay - Hotel scruffy and not very clean, beer cans strewn round garden areas. One of The 2 triple rooms unavailable so given a double and single instead. The single was not used as smelt strongly of smoke so adult and 5 year old slept in a single bed. Would not stay again. Only positive point was bedding and bathrooms were clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dated and unclean - Always read Google map reviews in parallel. If you haven't checked any, I suggest you do before deciding on this hotel. I am just glad that my room was not the worst, if I were to compare with what others have said on Google map reviews. The carpet is unclean, there are marks on the walls that could come off if one had chosen to wipe it. The curtains probably was not cleaned with much frequency, as there are also marks on it. A light bulb was missing on the ceiling lamp. There is a hole on the wall. But at least the bathroom is reasonably clean, and thank god the bedsheets, pillows and duvet covers seemed washed. But the hose and hand shower is missing from the shower faucet, with only the rain shower functioning. I am sure it could have been a reasonably good place for short stays once upon a time, but it's way past time for a full renovation. It feels as though the owners decided to run this place completely dry without injecting any further resources into maintaining it. On a Saturday, for £88. Is way too expensive. Infact, my opinion is that it is unacceptable for any price, simply because of its poor condition.

- David (6/5): Breakfast issue - Everything was fine for a short stay. The room was as expected and parking around the back was simple. On morning 1, no issues and a nice veggie breakfast. Unfortunately on morning 2 there was no sign of life at breakfast. I phoned the hotel number and was diverted to voicemail twice. In the end, I gave up as I needed to get to a meeting. I left an email and to be fair, the manager did reply and apologised that the chef had been unable to work that morning. He also refunded the cost of the breakfast.
- Kim (6/5): You get what you pay for - Basic accommodation that could have done with a thorough scrub. Overall though after paying £39 for the room you certainly get what you pay for. The bedding was clean but the carpet was covered in stains and the bathroom made us consider showing in our crocs. Orange shower, dirty floor and a lot of excess dust on skirting boards and around the radiator all things that could be easily rectified with a cleaner. Based on the hygiene status I wouldn’t stay again but it was certainly cheap, good parking facilities and only 15 minutes away from the airport so has a lot of potential.
- William Henry (4/5): Stay during Great Manchester race Weekend - We stayed 3 nights to be near our son who was running in the Great Manchester 10 km race. We found the bedroom rather scruff frayed and stained carpet, bathroom mirror light not working and minimal servicing

Our hotel room was smelling so much of smoke that I woke up at night coughing and all our stuff were smelling of smoke after leaving the room. We stayed for 4 nights and our bed sheet, towels etc were not changed/cleaned and only once during our stay we noticed staff in the reception. Only positive thing to say about the hotel is the location.

- RONNIE (6/5): - Perfect property for those on a budget. Room had everything I needed. The cleanliness could of been better as there was a strange odor in the room during my stay. Shower never got really hot, issues with flushing the toilet, stains on sheet of the bed and pillowcase. Got locked out of my room for about 3.5 hours had to sit in lobby and wait until someone arrived to let me in. Manager was very apologetic and was helpful to make things better for me. I would stay here again if I was on a budget. It’s a quick trip into Manchester and within walking to tram. Overall not a bad experience.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Saturday Night at the Trivellis - The Trivellis Belforte was spacious and cultured in decor. The check-in was social distancing compliant. However, it was confusing, a hotel guest directed me without me querying. The room and bathroom were really clean and tidy. TV worked. First time I had time to watch TV whilst attending to some things. Standard and comfortable. Thanks
- Susan (6/5): - Very convenient for station and town centre. There is a communal microwave which is very handy, and a chiller in the room. The hotel has not been updated, the showers do not work well, and there is no hair dryer in the rooms. Rooms are quirky, but quite cosy. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is no breakfast available even though it still mentions it on the website. Reception is not always staffed.

- Lisa (2/5): Awful place - This place is discussing I would not give it a 1 star, it is dirty it smell awful we had a leaking sink in bathroom no shelf and no were to put your clothes there we’re McDonald’s cups and cartons on windowsill from the previous guests and the carpets are dirty the photos are nothing like the rooms, people are banging doors all day and night, which we thought was bad enough the first night, then the next night banging and shouting then just gone midnight someone was banging on the hotel door which went on for over an hour they made a hole in the front door kicking it and smashed a window because they couldn’t get in, the shouting and banging went on all night we were glad to go out the next day for some peace, then the next night was not to bad when we first got back then 11 pm onwards it started again then at 12.30 am someone knocked on our door waking us up wanting to borrow a cigarette when we don’t know them and don’t smoke , could not wait to leave this morning avoid this place at all costs, I would definitely not stay there again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Did not stay - It’s hard to truly rate my stay as I did not end up staying here. I was travelling on my own, and on entering my hotel room I went to turn the lock, which did not work. I went and asked for a different room, and on entering the second room this did not lock either, meaning than anyone could come in with a keycard while I was alone sleeping. I felt very uncomfortable with this and ended up leaving and not staying as I did not feel it was safe to stay there. I feel this is quite a severe problem that needs to be rectified, as it is always recommended to lock your hotel room from the inside for safety reasons.

- Ian (4/5): Disappointing - gone downhill - Very disappointing. I stayed here a few years ago and it was a really good stay. This time I turned up and the bulb had gone in my room. I was moved to another room where the wifi didn't work so i went downstairs to the reception to use the wifi to send a couple of emails. There were a couple of people who were friends of the guy on reception just walking around chatting with no masks on, there were no covid procedures happening, no track and trace poster to scan, no hand gel, no request for a key worker letter. Very poor. Went back up to my room where there was a kettle but no tea, coffee, sugar, milk or even a cup! Just a kettle. No soap, shower gel etc. Room was freezing and the radiator was broken, though to be fair they did bring me a plug in heater on request. This place has really gone downhill, shame as it's mainly things that a little care and attention would easily fix

- keith (4/5): Poor hotel more like 4!!!! than 4* - Do not be fooled by the pretty photo advertised you cannot see the front of the hotel because the grass and weeds have grown so much the flags are frayed and dirty and unfortunately inside is not much better.Booked breakfast not available still charged for. 3 Room changes to find a TV that worked, no information at all. Shower was a disgrace (picture available) Sad thing is that with a little love and care the potential could be good

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean and comfortable room. The room could do with some maintenance as both the toilet roll holder and the handle on the shower was loose. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay and would use again.

- Mark (8/5): Great location - Great location as close to town centre, bars and restaurants. Cannot comment on food as did not have breakfast at the hotel. Room decent size, bathroom clean, but in need of modernising.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was a burn mark on the they're on the bed. The morning staff were really friendly, the staff that checked me in just passed me the key. The breakfast was disappointing for the price paid. The room was cold and one of the years want working. The water in the shower took ages to heat up. The door didn't lock. But it was economic and in s good location - lights on restaurants nearby. A big TV in the room and yes and coffee rapimento was clean.

- TERENCE (2/5): SHAMBLES - I stayed at this hotel the same time last year thats why I rebooked. This year absolutely terrible - towels NEVER changed in the 3 days I was there - On arrival was informed breakfast was from 8-10am - on the first 2 days went down around 8ish - no clean cups, plates or spoons - total chaos 1 person cooking, taking orders, cleaning tables and washing up!!! Last day decided to go down at 9am only to be told breakfast closed!!! Said was informed 8-10am told sorry guy new and that was only at weekend - weekdays only until 9am so never received a breakfast that I had paid for!!! Would like to receive the email address to put in an official complaint so therefore hope to hear from you soon. Will definitely not be returning. Kind regards Terence
- Jane (8/5): convenient hotel - Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and quiet place to stay and conveniently close to trams,, buses and Sale centre
- Alakbar (6/5): Cosy room. Awful plumbing. - Great room 105 with 3 beds. Looked clean for 1 night stay. 3 minutes away from a tram station.The area had a small high street with restaurants, Coop, a big pub and a leisure centre right opposite the hotel. The only downside was the drains in the bathddid not work so could not have shower as the water started pouring out of the standing shower. Please fix it ASAP. Otherwise a cosy room in a quiet off street surrounding.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Not great - Having booked a ground floor room due to disability, on arrival had been moved to a second floor room. The hotel has no lift.problem eventually sorted after some time but proved worrying and stressful for me
- Pawel (4/5): Good sleep but no shower. - Sadly we were given a room with a blocked shower basin so we couldn't refresh after getting to the hotel late as the reception only works till 10pm and the problem has been discovered after that. Facilities in the room and bathroom could do with updating as it looks a bit old and bathroom looks unappealing, the shower to be more specific. Beds were comfortable though and there is a free parking at the back of the property but poorly marked up from oitside and could do with some hedge trimming. We were leaving at 4am so still dark and the walk to the car park could do with more light.
