Staff was friendly Dog friendly Motorway noise too close Noise guests lack of sleep , loud tv upto 2.30am , and guests slamming doors , very inconsiderate to others . Beds were ok , but not very comfortable. Rooms were very basic , but large . needs revamp , furniture and paint work Shower didnt work properly . Surfaces seem clean , but close up wasn't very clean properly .

- Nico (8/5): Perfekt für die letzte Nacht vor der Überfahrt. - Grosses Zimmer, im EG auch mit Terrassenzugang, bei der Buchung muss man darauf achten ‚Room with Lakeview‘ zu buchen, denn auf der anderen Seite ist es sehr laut wegen der Autobahn vor der Tür. Die Dusche ist in der Badewanne mit Vorhang, das geht zwar, ist aber nicht zeitgemäß.

- Annemarie (7/5): Pleasant and very convenient - I chose this hotel because it is located perfecrly for visiting Greenwich and the Channel Tunnel. The initial shock was the proximity to the A2, there is just a footpath between the hotel carpark and theis very busy, noisy road. However, witjin the hotel the noise was almost imperceptible. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. As we could not take advantage of the last mornings breakfast due to an early start, sandwiches were provided for hungry travellers. The restauranr food was freshly cooked on the premises and available throughout the day. Our dog was warmy received. We will use this accommodation again in the future. The decor is dated and the carpets need replacing. There is definitely a need for better pillows to go with the comfortable beds. There is nowhere pleasant to walk with the dog despite a lot of greenery around. The lakes are roped off in large part for a fishing club, although it is possible to sit by the side of the water, We did find a pleasant countryside walk quite close, but it vrequired a short drive in the car.

- Piotrowska (8/5): We were very rested, well fed and would book again. - The service at breakfast was very professional. I asked for poached egg on toast which was provided for me. My husband had a full English breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. There was plenty of choice regarding cereals and I had fresh fruit with yogurt which was delicious. There was plenty of tea and coffee and also fruit juice. The room looked a bit tired in its decor, but was still very comfortable. The bathroom fan stayed on for a very long time.

Friendly staff. Very welcoming towards pets, you could literally go anywhere with you pet apart from the breakfast room. The property is a bit dated, and the lighting is the bathroom isn’t great, forget about shaving or make up there

It's more practical to be able to chose by yourself Dated decor in the room and also old-fashioned with the breakfast served on a plate (quite small by the way). The coffee quite bad, too.

- Martin (5/5): Tainted by shower issues and breakfast experience - Great location & lake view. Stayed for a 70s/80s disco including food. Food was lovely and event was very enjoyable Issues with shower (lots of people said same) where you couldn’t regulate the temperature and it was too hot to comfortably shower properly. Also breakfast next morning. Arrived just after 9.30am and took just short of 1 hour to serve 1 fried egg, 1 bacon, beans, 1 hash brown and 1 sausage (which despite the long wait the sausage looked anaemic and inedible). While waiting we asked a server twice why it was taking so long and she just said ‘ I don’t know’ second time she just ignored us. The shower & breakfast fiasco turned what would’ve been a great experience and weekend into one of disappointment

- Edith (6/5): Good for travelers is motel on motorway - Lake view room ! But if you wanted to relax outside in a terrace there is no privacy at all ! It is good for travelers who want to stop to sleep! Location I thought I am going to rest in a quiet place as I saw in a pictures but it was near motorway ! Don’t buy pizza because they sell frozen pizza and high price than fresh pizza which is not fair ! The pesto chicken is very good .

Location was perfect for us and lakes and gardens are excellent We have been to this Hotel many times over the years and now it needs updating and has done for years. Breakfast was average ,but had to wait nearly an hour for it to arrive. Some people left without receiving it. We only stayed because we never needed to rush

The hotel was nice back in the 60s but is shocking in its look now with cracked sinks, very dirty carpets. Windows surround correct. And very old furniture. The staff lacked any happiness. And the breakfast staff was even worse and for me to say as much as I have is very unusual

Needed a room for the night and this looked good (the photo of the lake etc). It’s just of the dual carriageway too though. However, very little road noise. Easy to commute, friendly staff, extensive menu, lots of parking, great lakeside setting. I know it a little dated. But if this was all shiny and new it would be double the price. It’s clean and I pleasant though. I did feel the bar lounge was a bit small but then discovered a restaurant and further seating adjacent Biggest gripe, remote for tv didn’t work (I changed the batteries). Think it is for another tv? But easy to sort as just did it manually.

- markiaustin (10/5): A fabulous stay loved it! - We brought our disabled parents for an 80th treat and had two garden rooms with lake views. It was perfect and our little dog loved the access to the garden. We were provided with treats for her too and there were plenty of dog poo bins around so all kept nice and clean. The food was excellent too and we had plenty of space to sit in the designated dog area. Breakfast came with the room and was very good. The bar area was lovely and our dog was allowed in there too so we ordered dinner there which was delicious 👍👍Also ordered plenty of coffee and drinks! 🍸 Not a lot it was a lovely place. My only niggle was the breakfast room. Although fine for my husband and dog my elderly disabled parents had to walk a very long way through the area with tables for those without dogs to get to the buffet part of the breakfast and staff left us a tray to collect coffee etc. it’s not a big deal my husband collected their coffees etc as they both have walking issues but it would have been nice if staff could have offered to get their coffee at least but as I said we sorted it between us. It made me smile that staff would happily offer to get water for the dogs! 🐶 but not coffee for disabled 80 year olds!

The bed, the mattress, albeit it had a memory mattress cover, I could feel a spring in my hips when I lay in bed.
