- Koto (5/5): 良かったところもあったけど、もう行かない - 温泉が最高だった。肌がすべすべになった。 景色がとても綺麗だった。 スタッフがとても親切だった。 ロビーで飲み放題のコーヒーが良かった。 アメニティが充実していた。子供向けのアメニティがかわいくて、子どもも喜んでいる。 部屋が一晩中、ボイラーなのか古い空調なのか、とにかくうるさくて眠れなかった。今まで泊まったホテルや旅館の中で、一番うるさかった。 朝のバイキングがあまりおいしくなかった。

- Deborah (8/5): Won’t come again - Location is good I forgot my cosmetic bag in the public bath. I didn’t realize it until in the afternoon. I reported to the front desk and asked if anyone has returned the bag to the front desk. The front desk girls said no and that’s all. I was not very happy about their attitude. They seemed not to care. At least to my opinion, they should have written down what the bag looks like and what is in it and etc. they just said no one returned anything. Their attitude was the same in next morning when I asked again. I was very disappointed with their attitude and they even not tried to ask the housekeeping. This is the main reason that I would not stay in this hotel again in the future.

- tara (5/5): We would not recommend this property to other travellers. - We have had an amazing 3 weeks in Japan but unfortunately this Ryokan has let us down, and interestingly, it was our most expensive accommodation during our whole trip! The wonderful Japanese hospitality that we have become familiar with was unfortunately absent at this hotel. In addition, our room was noisy. Our neighbours were clearly audible until late into the night. The room didn’t have air conditioning. There were limited Western breakfast options and we were seated to eat in an “overflow” room which was empty! On check-out, we were handed the bill without any other conversation including any pleasantries. We were offered no assistance with our luggage.

- Luise (9/5): - Das Kishigon ist eines der traditionsreichsten Ryokan in Ikaho und liegt direkt an den berühmten Steinstufen. Es hat 3 öffentliche Onsen (innen und außen), ein frei zugängliches Fußbad direkt an der Treppe und Private Onsen, die man dazubuchen kann (1100-2800 Yen für 45 Minuten). Das Kishigon hat einen ganz besonderen alt-japanischen Charme und die japanischen Zimmer mit Bergblick sind ein Traum. Es gibt ein Shuttle von den Bushaltestellen zum Hotel. Der Ikaho-Schrein ist nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Das Frühstück ist super. In Ikaho sind westliche Touristen nach wie vor selten und man sollte sich mit der japanischen Etikette auskennen und auch ein bisschen Japanisch können.

- Hawtmael (8/5): Lovely! - Onsen temperature was perfect, onsen rooms are exceptionally clean even though the establishment is old. You don't have that icky feeling of slimy floors or funky odours like many old onsen bathrooms do. I like the onsen water in Ikaho a lot better than that of Kusatsu as it is not as acidic. Personal preference. The staff are very sweet and helpful, even though most of them do not communicate well in English, they do try their very best. Ryokan is just a few steps away from the famous Ikaho stone steps! lots of fun eats and shopping there The food was somewhat lack-lustre. Buffet selection was good, however many of the dishes (eg. chicken wings, meatballs, bacon) were very cold and not as tasty as when served warm. Ryokan dinner was only so-so and quite insufficient to fill the tummy

- Fumiko (10/5): - 天正5年(1575年)創業の由緒ある旅館。快晴だったこともありますが、部屋から見渡せる三国連山の眺望にため息が出ました。過去に比類がないほど美しかったです。源泉かけ流しの湯はやわらかく感じられました。リピートしたいです

- Eric (10/5): A marvelous stay in warm and picturesque Ikaho - This is a fantastic hotel offering superb Onsen accommodations. The staff is friendly, attentive, and just wonderful to interact with. And the tatami mat room is spacious yet cozy. A mountain view room enhances the tranquil setting. There are multiple on-site baths for guests, including an open-air bath and private baths available for reservation. And historic Ikaho and the famous town steps are right outside the main lobby door. With Ikaho Shrine just a short walk up the hillside. Some of the hotel infrastructure is showing it's age. A boost in facilities sustainment is likely needed over the next few years.

- いさむ (10/5): - 有名な石段街がすぐ近くで、浴衣姿で出歩けるのもとても良かったです！ 施設内もとても綺麗で清潔にされていて、夕食も朝食もとても美味しかったです！
- やすこ (8/5): - 駐車場が遠いのが残念でしたが、食事は朝夕とても美味しかったです。館内も静かで部屋に入るとお湯と冷水も準備されており気遣いを感じられました。
- CHINWOO (10/5): 훌륭한 숙소입니다 - 전체적으로 위생과 청결 상태가 훌륭했습니다 식당 저녁과 제공되는 조식도 맛있었습니다 온천도 다양했는데 프라이빗 온천은 조금 좁고 아주좋지는 않았습니다 바로옆이 IKHO 온천 관광지입니다
- KEI (10/5): - 毎年恒例で泊まらせて頂いてます。温泉からの景色も素敵です。チェックインの際のウェルカムドリンクとお茶菓子のサービスがありがたいです。
- Bea (9/5): Superb - Located in Ikaho steps, the ryokan offers several bath facilities, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Not much foreign-friendly apart from the English-speaking staff.
- Jason (6/5): - Front desk check in people can not speak English, and asked why you increase person, I showed confirmation letter, finally they found it was their inside mistake, but didn’t say sorry to me.

- ノリコ (10/5): - 老舗らしく施設の設備もとても落ち着いたもので安心できる雰囲気です。建物が石段通りの脇なので、チェックインしてからゆっくり石段にあるお店をぶらっとのぞけます。 お風呂のお湯もとてもよかったです。 私個人としては不要に感じている足袋や個別包装のタオルなどは部屋には置かず、お風呂場にたっぷりのフェイスタオルが置いてあり、とてもよかったです。アメニティは最低限の物が部屋に揃えてあります。不足があればフロント横から持っていけます。
- Leung Sum (10/5): Great services! - Hotel is a bit dated but the services were excellent. Maybe that's why the traditional standard can be upkeep. Dinner was great too. Onsen is authentic although not hot enough. We loved the hotel overall. The area is a bit quiet and not much to see but was a great getaway spot.
