Guest Reviews
- Jeff (10/5): - We really enjoyed how peaceful it was. It was perfect for us. A little dated on the exterior but the interior was clean and had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, glassware, plates, full block of knives and even a wine opener and pizza wheel. Grocery stores are a short drive if you want to stay in and make your own meals. Small grills outside also.
The white tail deer are amazing, and we saw plenty of them. Fawns, does and bucks. Some bucks still in velvet during our visit.
Fredericksburg is a 2-hour drive for the wine enthusiasts. Lockhart is 1 hr. 15-minute drive for the BBQ enthusiasts.
- Mark (8/5): - Was nice just a little out of date
- Mary (10/5): - Nice to feed the deer.
- Belinda (6/5): Cozy on the lake - The location worked well for us as to the nature of our visit. 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms was a great set up. Overall comfortable, enjoyed the wildlife, felt safe, staff was friendly, just lacked in some details. The light in the bedroom was out, found a roach in the bathroom, dishes were all dirty.
- Spencer (6/5): - Needs new flooring rip out the carpets, really liked the deer though
- Dale (10/5): - Really, the only downside was the difficulty getting there to and from cedar park. Its a beautiful place and all things considered, i would stay there again.
- Angela (10/5): - Easy to communicate with desk office, longer than regular hours. Lovely place, very clean. I would come back again.
- April (10/5): - You will not be disappointed....very relaxing I loved everything about it....
- Gail (8/5): Lake Travis Stay - My family and I had a great time at The Shores. We were very pleased with the condo it was clean and it was updated. We would stay again.
- Don (10/5): - The office managers were so kind and helpful. They were very willing to answer questions and offer advice.
- Kim (10/5): - The place was amazing. Beautiful, friendly, helpful people. Will definitely be back.
- Kyle (10/5): - Ferrah and the rest of the staff made sure we felt right at home and accomodated all our needs and Ferrah checked on us personally via phone after her day off to make sure all our needs were continuing to be met. The Shores needs to give that woman a raise and an extra paid vacation. I will stay again but only if Ferrah is there because she made the whole experience without her idk what our stay would have been like. Thank you Ferrah look forward to seeing you on our next stay. God bless
- Gary (6/5): - Dirty filthy, stinky carpet. Bed was broken. Air conditioner difficult
- Karen J (8/5): Nice apartment - Very nice inside. Our only complaint would be that someone should possibly blowoff the front entryways from the tree debris…it gets tracked into the apartment every time you go in.
- Gerald (4/5): Overpriced for no more than you get - Rooms were extremely outdated. Carpet was very very bad whole room had a smell to. It. Looks like No updates have been done in quite some time. Pool Was unavailable. Don’t think I’ll ever be here again
- Alicia (10/5): Doe View - It was the best experience and I loved it
- Paul B (10/5): - great place, nice and quiet, lots of wildlife, lake travis
- Charles (4/5): - Carpet was hideous. Coffee pot had old coffee grounds with an inch of mold growing. Two baths but main bath only had a nasty jacuzzi tub and no shower. Pots & pans were limited and terrible. Windows had not been cleaned in 40 years. Unit had bugs, including scorpions. Office brought us a larger pan that had lost most of it’s non-stick coating. Unit has never been updated since it was built in the 60’s.
- Ernie (6/5): Poor maintenance - The property was clean and the deer are fun to watch. However, the decor is outdated with mirrors everywhere inside. The carpets are stained and need replaced. The worst part was the jacuzzi tub leaked in the plumbing under the tub. I reported it and maintenance didn’t fix it, just closed the access door. So didn’t use the tub because I didn’t want to cause more damage. When I reported the lack of proper maintenance to the front desk all they ask is if I wanted to fill out a card.
- Nancy (8/5): - The front desk people were great but their hours of operation were poor
- Reyadh (6/5): - The aria is very beautiful very quiet but the property is not clean the carpet is dirty there are a lot of spiders webs on the walls
- Yasmin (4/5): - Everything is old and smells old. Carpet is duty
- Steven (8/5): Visit to Austin and the Grandchildren... - We were amazed at how close we are to nature as we walked out our front door and having deer all around in close proximity. We had a great time, and we were comfortable and found the unit very clean (however it was a little dated)...but nice!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The deer … the gate pass to the lake
- CURTIS H. (8/5): Kewl - Great
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely spot. Friendly staff. Would return.
- Lynn (10/5): - Everything was wonderful! Staff was friendly and everything we needed was easily found. Kids loved feeding the deer!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is beautiful and check in was so easy and smooth
- Christopher (10/5): Relaxing - It was relaxing
- rogerf h. (10/5): Short weekend away - Very clean and relaxing will definitely return for a longer stay next time
- Luis (10/5): - Very pleasant and peaceful exactly what I was looking for
- randolfo (10/5): Hill country accommodation - Nice, quiet relaxing surroundings. Easy check in with helpful front desk staff. Our porch faced the beautiful hill country and you can enjoy your morning coffee just looking into nature. Units are somewhat outdated but sleeping accommodations were comfortable. Lake Travis right around the corner. Will return again with family.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I enjoyed the room size , views and amenities. There were deer on the resort and the lake was within walking distance.
- Dylan F. (10/5): Great value. - This was a nice quiet place. It was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and close access to the water. The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that I never received an email telling me the check in process. My check in time came and went. I didn’t have the address or phone number to the place I was staying. I had to call HomeAway to get connected to the property manager. Luckily the property manager was able to leave me a key, as the office was gonna be closed by the time I was able to get there. I was very frustrated with the fact that I had to beg for information to check in to this place. Once homeaway connected me with the property manager everything else went smoothly.
- Tammy (8/5): Nice area. Ok accommodations. - Good location but no view of lake. Accommodations are dated but clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, basic condo. Obviously purely a rental. No owner items present. TV service very 1990's with small screen and no interactive programing schedule. Close to lake and golf courses.
- joanna (8/5): - There are deer roaming around in the area. You can buy corn at the front desk which is nice. They come up and eat from your hand. The rooms are spacious. Some bugs inside. Nice big shower. I’d stay again if I was in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Deer everywhere, dawn and dusk feed deer by hand.
Right next to a lake, huge rooms, bigger than a medium sized apartment.
- Daniel K. (10/5): Great stay - Very clean place with all of the essentials. Perfect place for some time away close to hiking.
- Victoria (10/5): Great stay - The place is great. Great value, clean, big space. Kids had fun.
- Verified traveler (10/5): hotels.com service is garbage, hotel was good - Found a few bugs, but not a big issue since its close to wilderness. In fact you can feed corn to deer right in the parking lot.
Over all the rooms were good. Lots of amenities provided, almost anything you can think of. Cant say the same about the hotels.com customer service. Never using hotels.com again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great escape from the city - We loved feeding the deer and the ambiance of the place. Not fancy, but the office staff was great at making you feel welcome. A chance to reconnect with your family by playing board games and observing nature.
- Mr. Alvarado (10/5): - Beyond my expectations. My son is on Fort Hood and he is being deployed on the 30th, this month to Kuwait. My wife and I were able to spend this weekend with him and Oh, what bonding we had before his departure.
From our hearts...Thank you so much for making this possible. We will return here when my son comes back home.
The Lord is great.
- Kristen (10/5): Wonderful place! - This place is really spectacular! I can't say enough great things about the property, its apartments and wonderful staff! I highly recommend!
- Kristen (10/5): They thought of EVERYTHING! - This has been a wonderful stay! Great location! Great staff! Great amenities!
