Guest Reviews
- Natalia (9/5): - such a sweet hut in the back with triple wooden bunk beds, never seen anything like it before, would have extended our stay if possible can only pay with cash unfortunately
- Anthony (6/5): -
- Kory (9/5): Nice location, friendly staff, good vibe - A nice hostel, friendly staff, and a good location. A good vibe as well, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby.
- Justus (3/5): -
- Bashiru (10/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Kathrin (6/5): - Gute Lage. Zimmer war okay. Dreckiges und teils kaputtes Gemeinschaftsbad. Beim Check-in mussten wir 20-30 Minuten warten. Vieles muss restauriert werden.
- Nicki (10/5): See you next year 😌 - The place was great, the staff we’re amazing and very nice! Good place to chill out, and enjoy the island. Also great place to meet people!
- Amaryn (7/5): - Price, staff, common area (pool table) Bathrooms could use some updating
- Ariane (4/5): -
- paolo (7/5): -
- Maria (2/5): - Bra wifi - Sengene er veldig harde, jeg sov ikke godt en eneste natt
- Håndkle er ikke inkludert
- Veldig dyrt og ikke verdt det
- Ekle bad
- Ligger langt unna der det skjer ting
- Ella (10/5): -
- Christof (7/5): - Sehr nettes personal!
- Valentina isadora (7/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful! Very clean and cozy common area. I'll definitely come back here!
- Bruno (3/5): There are better options. - Seems like a chill place to socialize and make friends. Room wasn’t clean. Bathroom was not clean at all. No towels provided. Staff guy not friendly. Private room door needs a curtain to block light. Floor needs a deep clean.
- Aedan (10/5): Great spot to stay in Koh tao, very comfortable and chill. - Very chill environment, the pool table is great and the garden. The shower head wasn’t completely attached to the wall and fell down a few times when turned on.
- Mirko (1/5): Unsafe and Hostile – Got Robbed and Blamed - - I stayed at this hostel from April 19th to 24th. On the morning of the 24th, I woke up to find my bag open and my money stolen. I went straight to the police to file a report, as anyone would do anywhere in the world.
I returned to the hostel accompanied by the police, and instead of receiving support, the staff reacted with hostility and aggression. One of the employees (about 6'1", light brown curly hair, several earrings and tattoos) acted in a threatening and confrontational way, and a female staff member had to step in to calm him down.
That same staff member accused me of lying, claimed the money "never existed," and told me to pack my things and leave. He even mocked me by saying not to forget a gold box or something like that, as if I had made the whole thing up. He insisted going to the police was pointless, showing a complete lack of empathy and professionalism.
I can prove I had that money. And honestly, who would choose to spend their time dealing with the police and filing reports instead of enjoying a paradise beach—unless something truly serious had happened?
⚠️ I absolutely do not recommend this place. There's no safety, no support, and no basic human respect from the staff.
- Nathan (7/5): Good -
- Aman (5/5): Cheap but I would choose to stay somewhere else by playing little extra had trouble sleeping - It’s like living in hut house in a Forrest in the night they have birds chilling around making sounds like staying in the wild. It gets too hot and mosquitoes in dorm
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional - Love the common areas and pool table! Nice spots to hang out and staff were super lovely.
- Samuel (8/5): fun, easy, relaxing - nice location among the trees with good food options nearby. walking distance from the port and other amenities. good areas to chill out, working aircon for rooms and nice staff. would be nice if they provided a towels
- Torbea (7/5): Good -
- Juliette (7/5): Good - The hostel by itself is nice, good common areas and free water refill! Staff really nice too ! We stayed in a bungalow and didn’t really appreciated the stay in it … quite dirty and old… An upgrade would be definitely needed…
- Sutherland (7/5): Good location, but the bungalow private room is not worth the money. - Lovely helpful staff and decent common area with pool table. The bungalow room had an uneven mattress with no top sheet and no AC. The uneven floor and ceiling were a bit unsettling and the wooden stairs were starting to decay
- Pasang (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sebastian (6/5): Great apart from the hygiene. - Great social vibe, great location and nice common space. Not very clean, the toilets were filthy so i found it far too expensive for what you get.
- Alexander (6/5): Pleasant - Nice owner, very helpful. Motorbike rental was easy. Great location. Expensive for what you get. Bungalow was very basic with mattress which was barely able to be slept on… in desperate desperate need of replacement, very uncomfortable which really ruined our stay here.
- Isabella (7/5): Good -
- Anouk (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff. I was staying in the female only room. Bed was comfortable. The bathrooms could be cleaner but I think it was mostly because of how the other guests were treating it and not because they don’t clean. Nice common space to hang out!
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (3/5): Poor - location everything seems to be falling apart in this dirty hostel. needs lots of repair and upgrades but the owner is happpy to run.it.as is as long as budget travellers desperate for a cheap place to say flock in.
- Kavehzadeh (7/5): Good - The staff was nice and accommodating Not comfortable beds,
and the bathroom was not clean. No kitchen area to use kettle and fridge.
- Juliette (8/5): Very good -
- Zhengqin (3/5): Poor - fine with location near pier long waiting time for checkin and less communication with staff, don't know why they ignore the message. the air conditioner not working very well feeling hot at night. Bathroom not very clean
- Joeson (5/5): Passable - Beds are spacious and comfortable to sleep
Location is great - next to the pier
Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They let us use things they had.
There is a room specifically for exercising (minimal equipment provided but still great) and provide free yoga mats.
The place seems pretty social Bathrooms were not nice - in need of renovating/deep cleaning.
Peoples clothes are all hung out makes the place look quite messy.
The cleanliness of the place is not helped by other guests. Overall we found it difficult to feel "comfortable".
There wasn't much kitchen equipment that could be readily used, e.g. utensils, plates, kettle, fridge - expected at this price range in koh tao
12 bed dorm has no natural light (which is fine) however each bed therefore should have its own light source however there are no privacy curtains, which makes it more difficult to put this in.
Lockers are provided but there is no light so makes it difficult to use them using darker hours.
- Marine (2/5): I give 2 stars for the location but otherwise I didn't like my stay there everything is very dirty, especially the b -
- Isaac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional - The best people Ive ever met at a hostel. Extended my stay just like everybody else does. Simply the best social vibe without being too crazy. Nothing
- Mia (10/5): best time :) - this has been one of my favourite hostels of my trip, the vibe here is so friendly and welcoming with the staff hanging out with the guests it felt like a home. there’s a great social area downstairs where everyone hangs out or you can go upstairs to the sofas and beanbags to chill. yes it might be a little rough round the ages in the dorms but nothing awful
- Aurelia (10/5): Exceptional - I love the Hosts, they make you feel really welcome, they are smiley and try to help you whatever you need! ♥️♥️♥️
- Paula (9/5): Superb -
- Wolfsberger (8/5): Very good - Very nice and friendly staff. Good chillout area.
I can recommend it 👍 Bathroom is not good
- Kalyn (10/5): Super chill place to hang - Chill people, nice staff, good area, pool table, outdoor space
- Bruno (10/5): Good vibe - Really nice vibe in the hostel. For the price is a really good choice. Good staff as well. .
- Izadora (9/5): Short but sweet . Welcoming and comfy - Amazing vibes and very relaxed environment with friendly staff. Lots of social space and space for relaxing too 👌 loved it very much and would certainly come back.
- Alexander (6/5): Pleasant - Great staff and fantastic location. Just away from the main Sairee Beach but close enough to still get involved. We were in the private bungalow and the mattress was very uncomfortable and the room felt quite dirty.
- Mattéo (10/5): Exceptional - The friendly atmosphere. No curtain on the bed
- Devi (10/5): 12 out of 10! ❤️ - Perfect in between going out and having chilled days in the hostel. Lovely team! Would always come back ❤️
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Good vibes and nice social area to meet other travellers, great location and just fun atmosphere. Thank you for the stay :)
- Lisa (7/5): Good - Doggies, friendly stuff, free water, great location, comfy chill area & chill vibe
+ they help you to book your trips ( snorkeling etc.) Unfortunately, our bungalow was permeable to all kinds of animals. I understand that small bugs can get in. But the holes in the bungalow were so big that even rats were in there. Giant spiders also came through the drain. In Thailand you sometimes have to expect this, but it is not necessary as long as there is the option to plug the holes.
- Filipa (10/5): Friendly staff, cozy space, AC - Everything Nada
- Daniela (9/5): Superb -
- Carlota (5/5): Passable -
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jelle (10/5): Amazing, it feels like coming home! - The hostel is lovely and perfectly located. The hostess and staff are always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spotless, and the bathrooms are clean. It is not a party hostel but very social, offering a perfect mix of long-term stayers, digital nomads, and backpackers. Ideal for solo travelers who love meeting people.
Although the house is old, it has a lot of charm. The host and staff work hard and renovate daily. Even during my 4-day stay, things were constantly improving, making it even more beautiful.
I highly recommend it! Nothing, it is just lovely!
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuela (8/5): Nice location - Nice location
Friendly staff
- Yusuf (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dybdahl (3/5): Poor -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Facundo (8/5): Very good - The location is super good just 5 min walking from the port also next door is a really affordable restaurant with amazing food. In my stay not always was water, the toilet are not really clean, in one of the shower was the same towel hanging for 3 days until I took it out and leave it in another place. The cleaners clean everyday in the morning but some travelers are quite messy. The water pressure in the shower are really poor. But overall for the price they charge is pretty good!!!
- Khem (8/5): Very good -
- S (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zayar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellie (8/5): Very good - Had a lot of hangout spaces which makes it easy to meet new people as a solo traveller. The mattresses felt like concrete, and people are worried about bed bugs.
- Antonius (3/5): Disgustingly dirty and pretty much unusable bathrooms - Location was good The bathrooms where disgustingly dirty. The entire building is in need of renovation. The beds were the worst ones that I have ever slept in (I'm used to budget travel and do not have high standards).
- Jannis (6/5): Pleasant -
- William (7/5): Good -
- בר (8/5): Very good -
- Theo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oscar (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - The people were super nice, everyone super friendly. The location is also great, its very central. The rooms were quite clean. They also turn on the A/C every night which is a plus with the heat! The bathrooms and general living area are not that clean or great tbh. The walls are also paper thin, so you can hear all the noise from surrounding businesses (there is a bar across the road that plays music every day 6pm-12pm and you can hear it all as if you were in the bar, so wouldn't recommend for light sleepers!).
- George (9/5): Super chill vibes, great place to relax, unique, great staff, definitely worth visiting - Really relaxed place next to the main pier, lots of great restaurants on the doorstep. Staff were super friendly and involved. Very unique hostel. Top floor bathrooms could’ve worked a bit better with the taps not working in a couple of them but not really much of a problem.
- Alberta (4/5): Disappointing - Very dirty location
- Dee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Very good value for money! I really liked the staff and the vibe, it's a very cosy and chill hostel with a nice environment that matches with what I expected from Koh Tao (+good location). There is a nice common area with games, a pool table and a bar. You can easily book activities threw the hostel. I really recommend this hostel if you want to chill and socialize at the same time. ☺️
- Saskia (8/5): Very good -
- Vanshika (10/5): Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere - There’s a beautiful mango tree in the garden where you can pick mangos to eat. The communal area has pool table and was very social during the day. Towels are for rent here in many hostels not for deposit.
- Nazareno (6/5): Pleasant - Nice common areas
Clean and big enough room (I stayed in 6 bed room)
Close to the beach, restaurants, motorbike rental. 3 toilets upstairs but just two showers. One of them didn’t have the thing to hang the shower.
You can wash your hands in just one of the toilets . The others two didn’t work.
The place could be so much better if the staff fix those little things.
Towels and kitchen’s stuff are things that is common to get in Thailand’s accommodation. Should be nice if they can get you some.
- Zachary (5/5): Passable - Nice place to hang out and meet unique people. The beds were not very private. The facilities could use a makeover.
- Marijke (5/5): Passable -
- Sam (8/5): Good experience - Great location and staff very helpful
- Florencia (4/5): Disappointing - The location was great. The room was comfortable and cleaned with AC. Awful bathrooms, no water at all , dirty all the time , i had to change hostel for that reason
- Atom (5/5): Cheap and there’s a reason why - This hostel is nearly really good but there’s a reason why it’s the cheapest hostel on the island. Nevertheless there are really good areas to relax, play and socialise. Free water was nice. Space to do yoga. The showers aren’t clean, if the dribble that comes from them even passes as a shower. They could also do with some pegs to hang towel and clothes up in there. Electricity is faulty and with the loss of power also comes a loss of water. The beds would benefit from curtains
- Mohammed (7/5): Good place for what I paid. - Very close to the Pier, restaurants and shops.
Staff are friendly, the overall vibe of the place is really cool. No AC in the common areas, the AC in the dorm gets turned off at 10:30am and restarts at 5 pm. You will not be able to take an afternoon nap if you needed one.
- Katia (5/5): Passable - Helpful staff
Close to the port/beach Bed bugs
- Tyler (8/5): Three very kind people running the hostel now, seems like they are busy fixing it up. Very relaxed vibes. Great wifi. Go - Cool little property, with a nice area to do yoga or have a small workout, and has a pool table! The beds were a little firmer than I would have liked.
- Mélina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Victoria (1/5): Awful stay - Location is good for a short stay. Our stay was AWFUL and we had to leave and even though the blonde lady was arrogant, had no customer service skills whatsoever and was incredibly unhelpful, I'd like to mention there was a Thai man who did apologise and seemed genuinely appalled at the state of the place they had put us in, he was in fact the person who pointed out and explained that animals/insects would come through the holes in the ceiling as he pointed them out with a flash light. Unfortunately our experience in this accommodation was awful. The so called "bungalow" was not what we expected and when we asked for a change of room on arrival they mentioned that the bunk beds in the shared room had bed bugs. We stayed here for the first night, the bed is extremely uncomfortable, there is just one small fan, only one spotlight working and only one window (which we kept shut during the whole night luckily) there are holes all over the ceiling and we had to ask for a change of sheets. We really wanted to give this place a chance but unfortunately when we arrived on our second night (about 8pm) a squirrel of some sort had come through the holes in the "bungalow" (shed!) ceiling and left a gift for us on the bed! While we were trying to find (battling) another option for us with an extremely unhelpful blonde lady member of staff, a gigantic spider crawled up the curtain by the bed. We were told there was no option to refund us the money and that there was only a couple beds left (the ones with bed bugs from the previous night). This lady did not apologise once and kept making comments about how most people don't mind (even after the muck on our bed and the massive spider...). It was only when mentioning contacting booking about the situation and insisting on how you cannot rent this type of place as accomodation that we finally managed to get our money back (only for the remaining night unfortunately). This lady didn't offer us any help in finding another place to stay and as mentioned, never apologised.
- Ryan (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff There was no water, lots of mosquitoes,
- Facu (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kalender (8/5): Very good - There is a squeaking sound coming from the beds and the wires of the bed I am sleeping on are digging into my body while I sleep. You can increase the comfort level by changing the bed mattresses.
- Catalina (1/5): Bad - Most of the beds in the room had bed bugs so we had to go to de beach to sleep. The staff was rude and didn’t want to give money back, toilets very dirty and almost no water in the shower. Worst hostel I stayed in my life, not even worth the price.
