This two-room, one-bath cottage features a queen sized hypoallergenic feather bed. The kitchenette includes a small sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and small fridge stocked with soda and water on your arrival. The living room consists of a comfortable couch and two gliding chairs, as well as flat-screen cable TV. A dual window fireplace allows you watch the fire from either the living room or the bedroom. The bedroom has a TV and back door leading to a private deck with a hot springs tub. On the outside wall, speakers connected to the compact disc player inside allow you to relax in the hot tub while listening to the music of your choice. The bathroom offers a heated towel rack.

Smaller portions with option for seconds might be good. I would have liked two sunny side up eggs as an option. All the food was very creative and delicious!

- Claire (10/5): Garth Mansion was a highlight of our trip! - It's a beautiful home filled with lots of history. It was very quiet and peaceful. We appreciated the modern fixtures and comfortable bathroom/shower. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Vintage chairs are not very comfortable! When we wanted to settle in with a tv show before bed, we found the tv was awkward to use and gave very limited shows.

Turns out the water pipes were breaking and so we were upgraded to a private cottage at no charge. I booked the stay to stay in the mansion itself, however the place is so magnificent that I will be returning to hopefully stay in the room we originally booked. Breakfast each day was brought to us and it was so amazing. Christine is an absolute wonderful hostess. We will definitely go back soon.

The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great and because the place wasn’t busy when I was there it was made a la carte for me. However, the best part of my stay was the staff. All of them were very attentive and went out of their way to help. I got to choose my own breakfast options, they drove me downtown, took me on a tour of the house and helped me out with the rest of my journey. Extra shout to Travis and Michelle whom were both great. Worth considering is that it can be hard to find taxis or rent a car/bike in the area. If you want to go between the mansion and sights/downtown make sure you have a car before you get there

We stayed in a cottage, and thought it was private. We realized there was another occupant in the basement, and that was a little alarming. We realized it because we could here him coughing in the middle of the night and it spooked us for a moment.

I believe a person to carry the luggage should be at the ready. We were put in a room on the third floor. We could see that many rooms on the lower floors were not occupied. We are still asking why? A top floor is a nice choice when easily accessible. The stairs are a chore even though we are quite physically fit.
