• Dariusz (9/5): Atrakcyjne miejsce do wypoczynku dla osób lubiących przyrodę i konie. - Bardzo ciekawa i atrakcyjna okolica i widoki. Dużo możliwości do aktywnego wypoczynku. Bardzo dobre jedzenie zarówno śniadania jak i serwowane w restauracji. Może na początek po przyjeździe mocno wyczuwalny zapach stajni i koni. Ale to chyba coś co może przeszkadzać na początku i z czasem nie zwraca się już na to uwagi.
• Marco (7/5): - Sehr schöne Lage. Landschaftlich toll gelegen. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden. Frühstück durchschnittlich ohne Höhen und Tiefen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Apartmenthaus und war nur mäßig begeistert. Durch die hohe Decke hat es der Service sicher nicht leicht ständig die Spinnweben zu entfernen, aber ab und an muss das mal passieren. Eine Qualitätskontrolle durch den Inhaber hat es sicher eine Weile nicht gegeben. Weiterer negativer Punkt war die Federkernmatratze. Wenn man die einzelnen Federn im Rücken spürt, ist auch irgendwann mal Ersatz nötig. Ebenso bei der Toilettenbürste. Das ist kein Kostentreiber und alle paar Wochen darf die mal ausgetauscht werden.
• Audna (9/5): - Very nice room, comfortable beds, comfortable chairs and a desk. Plenty of space. We had a room with access to the garden. Hens in the garden, horses, sheeps and lambs nearby. Really cozy. Nice view. No kettle or coffee machine but got coffee and tea on a tray early morning that I picked up at the restaurant The bathroom fan was noisy

• Henner (10/5): Wir hatten auf gut Glück gebucht und richtig Glück! Das Hotel hat uns positiv überrascht und war für unseren Aufenthalt - Prima Ausstattung, sauber und perfekt geführt. Alles perfekt!

• Andrea (9/5): Immer empfehlenswert, toller Gasthof - Tolle Lage, gutes Essen, sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Tiere und tolle Aussicht. Zimmer geräumig. Sitzgelegenheiten, TV mit Mediatheken, grosses modernes Bad. Leider gab es nur am Sonntag frische Früchte und Wasser zum Frühstück. Man konnte jedoch frische Eier anfordern und sich aus dem Obstkorb selbst Obstsalat schneiden. Zu viel verpackte Streichläse etc - Müll!

• Roberto (9/5): - Posto bellissimo un borgo antico e hotel con camere curate in ogni dettaglio. Ottima colazione forse un appunto sulla mancanza di dolci fatti in casa/ brioche.
• Frank (9/5): Ein gelungenes Klassentreffen, das wir dort wiederholen werden. - Das Zimmer war vergleichbar mit einem Apartment. Auf zwei Etagen, mit einer Sitzgelegenheit für sechs Personen. Das war sehr praktisch, so konnten wir nach dem Klassentreffen mit allen, die dort übernachtet haben, einen Absacker trinken. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Ich wusste, wo die Unterkunft liegt, sodass ich keine Probleme mit der Abgelegenheit hatte und sie nicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar ist.

• Juliana (4/5): Eher was wenn man dort bis 5 selbst feiert - Frühstück und Aussicht. Die Aussicht ist total toll. Super laut und man schläft in der Party. Hat keiner ein Wort drüber verloren.
• Juliana (4/5): Sehr unfreundliches Personal, schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Der junge Herr beim CheckOut hat uns sehr gefallen und das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Das Bett war auch ok. Uns hat einiges nicht gefallen: - das Zimmer, das auf den Bilder abgebildet war, haben wir nicht bekommen. Statt modern und neu war es total alt und muffig. Super staubig, nicht schön eingerichtet und wir waren nicht direkt am Hotel untergebracht. Für 300 Euro super enttäuschend. - das Personal zum CheckIn war das unfreundlichste, das ich je je hatte. Wir waren ganz geschockt. Die Buchung war umfangreich, aber man rollte uns gegenüber mit den Augen. Dazu kam, dass wir gar nicht abgeholt wurden. Nichts zu wo parken wir, wo finden wir das Frühstück, wann ist das Frühstück, wie ist der Zimmerservice, einfach nichts. Sehr sehr enttäuschend. - der Hammer war. Das Einzelzimmer, das wir gebucht haben, war im Haupthaus. Da war ne riesige Party und es war als würde man in der Party schlafen. Dazu stand nichts bei Booking, man sagte uns gar nichts dazu und hat sich nicht mal entschuldigt für den Lärm, heftig. Das Zimmer hatte auch gar keinen Feuermelder. Da haben wir uns gefragt wie das zugelassen sein kann.

• Detlef (8/5): gelungener, angenehmer Aufenthalt - Einsam in einem kleinen Dorf auf einem Berg, 8km bis Altena-Zentrum, sehr ruhig, gutes Frühstück und auch das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert, Zimmer gut ausgestattet, Personal immer nett ansprechbar Wir sind wetterbedingt einen Tag eher abgereist, obwohl bei booking.com die Zahlung in der Unterkunft angezeigt war und wir das auch getan haben wurde uns die letzte Nacht nicht erlassen mit Hinweis auf Zahlung durch booking.com, das halte ich für nicht richtig, etwas Ehrlichkeit wäre schön gewesen

• Richard (8/5): Etwas abgelegen - Die Lage war etwas abgelegen. Enge Straßen bis ins Dorf. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber, gut eingerichtet. Das Bad auch groß genug. Sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant. Frühstück sehr gut. Das Wetter war schlecht im August und nur 11 Grad nachts. Da das Zimmer überall gefliest ist, war es sehr kalt im Raum und im Bad. Heizung gibt es keine im Sommer.. Doch ein Teppich im Zimmer hätte Abhilfe schaffen können.

• Anthony (10/5): A lovely Gasthof with comfortable beds, a beautiful location and good food - well worth it! - Gasthof Spelsberg is tucked away in a small village between Lüdenscheid and Altena so it was very picturesque. It was quiet with good food, a friendly and accommodating staff and very comfortable beds!
• Bogdan (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful staff, very spacious room, amazing location on top of a hill. Breakfast was very diverse and the salty food was extremely tasty. There were 2 small friendly country goats 🐐🐐 that greeted me on my way out from breakfast. I am definitely coming back! :)

• Ncoetzee (10/5): Beautiful scenery in spacious and very comfortable rooms and with excellent food to round it of. - The rooms are excellent and the bed is one of those you never want to get out of. Even though the building might be on the older side, all the modern amenities you need are available and in good working order. WiFi works great. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. I will definitely return.
• Barbara (6/5): Dissapointed - The room we was finaly given was comfortable and clean , the food was very good and the views spectacular . When we arrived we was shown to a building close by but it looked like it could do with modernising with duvet that was once white but now yellow , after complaining we was told it would cost us more if we wanted to upgrade , we was then shown a second room in the main hotel but with waterstained carpets and a room that was in need of a upgrade as well , too say we was getting fustrated and dissapointed would be an understatement for the money paid . The room only had one duvet and pillow so the receptionist went off to get them , he was only gone 2 minutes and returned to say we could use the new upgraded rooms in the block next to the hotel . This room was very clean and of a much higher standard in keeping with the expected cost per night . We felt that we was shown the bad first to try and get more money out if us but we wasnt having any of that and glad we insisted on a better room . We cut short our stay by one night because of the treatment shown to us which the receptionist didnt really care about or he was interested in . Staff had very limited english but we got by non the less . The lady at breakfast was lovely and the breakfast was suffiecient for a long journey back to the uk . Unfotunatley our experience of how we was treated by the receptionist clouded our judgement of the hotel . This could be a hidden gem in great surroundings but we didnt feel welcomed from the start and it certainly effected our experience . I hope that its not a ruse to get more money from people showing them substandard rooms and certainly do hope that others have a better experience than ours .

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Kein funktionierendes Internet (! - und auch kaum Mobilfunk Empfang) und ziemlich einfache und durchgelegene Matratze. Einrichtung arg in die Jahre gekommen und die Hälfte der Glühbirnen im meinem Zimmer waren kaputt.
