Elaine (8/5): A blissful escape - I loved the warm welcome and the beautiful decor in this gem of a hotel. It felt like home - really cosy and relaxing. The breakfast was a la carte and very tasty. Our bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom was a delight. Maybe more options for breakfast like juices and cereal/fruit.

GEORGE (10/5): - Amazing space with an amazing staff. I came here with my wife for our 10th anniversary. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. Its right in the hear of Sagatuck... which has become our new favorite midwest getaway destination.

Robert (10/5): Our visit was far too brief. - Breakfast was outstanding, our guest room was small but cozy, and the public rooms were both comfortable and charming. We were greeted cheerfully upon arrival, and the breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. This inn is itself a destination: my wife and I are eager to return. Perhaps a slightly larger room with a comfortable chair.

Krista (10/5): Perfectly relaxing and enjoyable! - The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! And we absolutely love the location of the end. It's perfect to walk everywhere and Saugatuck. This may seem very picky, but the light coming in around the door from the hallway into the bedroom was bothersome. But honestly, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff was perfect.

Constance (10/5): Just an awesome weekend getaway. - Lovely time - staff was great, in particular the house manager, who went over and above to make our stay great. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed our inn mates as well, the mix and the common areas all arranged to facilitate interaction , which was great. Temperature control in rooms was a challenge but resolved.

Walter (10/5): - Me and my partner came not knowing what to expect from a bed and breakfast and we where blown away about how quiet and peaceful it was. This was also our very first time visiting Saugatuck. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The team gave us great ideas about what to do in town and where to eat. The breakfast was yummy and the wine testings and charcuterie offerings were delicious as well. We will definitely be back again.

Michelle (8/5): - The Inn is beautiful. It was spotless and well maintained. The staff was great. The food was excellent. I normally do not care to stay at B&Bs, but this was an exception. As much as I loved it, the bedding was top notch as the robes and toiletries. The room was small, no chair to sit in and relax, the lighting was not great, but overall it was excellent.
Nancy (10/5): A design paradise - I came back to stay at the Wickwood Inn twenty years after I had last stayed here. It was lovely then, but I feared it might have gotten dated by now. No need to worry! They did a complete renovation of the inn. Still the beautiful antique-filled luxuriously plush rooms, but updated to a more muted and understated color palette befitting the current design aesthetic. The exquisite marble-clad bathroom was a particular delightThere is still no other place in town that holds a candle to this.

Samantha (10/5): High quality stay especially if you are looking for relaxation and quietness. - Loved the uniqueness, quietness and location. Breakfast and happy hour were exceptional. The staff were amazingly friendly and hospitable which are qualities hard to find these days. My only issue was the room temperature. I needed it to be a lot cooler but once I was given a fan and lighter sheet cover for the bed then I was able to tolerate the temperature better.
Lydia (10/5): Lovely, great location, very walkable, and the food was outstanding - Perfect breakfast. Wonderful happy hour and great midnight snacks Very surprised that there wasn’t a TV. Anywhere. Opening weekend for football. My husband was not thrilled but lots of fun bars to watch at instead.

Patrick (1/5): Didn’t stay at the property. - Pretty ridiculous. Almost roomless after 3 hour drive. Booked online after 6pm…reservation was accepted. Showed up at the property at 7:10pm, called the inn keeper 6 times-voicemail each time. Rang the doorbell twice-no answer. Emailed Jeff-no response. Went to dinner, called 3 more times…again no answer. Finally reached him after dinner and was told the inn doesn’t accept reservations after 6pm and he was 20 minutes away. Regardless of the fact that I had a confirmed reservation. Really?? Pretty unprofessional and very poor business. Why would I have a confirmation, yet it not be honored?! Fortunately, got a reservation down Butler Street at 9pm that was honored. There should be a better reservation system in place. If you don’t accept check ins after 6pm, do not accept and forward a reservation confirmation. Would not recommend. Better reservation system. If you don’t allow guests after 6pm, the reservation system shouldn’t accept it.
Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful landscaped gardens and patio. Patio is a great place for breakfast with excellent staff, smiles and good food. Our room was comfortable with three windows filled with bright sunshine. It was nice that Jeff took time to meet the guests and talk a bit. Location is perfect at the beginning of the shopping strip and a block from the riverfront and park. The hotel is immaculately clean!
David (10/5): A well-appointed room greeted us along with a capable and eager staff. - The location was perfect. The staff was very kind and hospitable. I liked all the amenities of the room (bed comfort, armoire, modern bathroom/big shower), and the choices for breakfast. We will definitely return. I don't think there was anything I didn't like, although some of the legacy guests were mentioning that they thought the evening apps were not as plentiful or special as their previous visits. Since this was our first visit we did not know any differently. Perhaps an additional bottle or two of wine in the fridge could have been available, as the group that night drained all the bottles.....I think all I got was a half a glass of the red, but didn't think too much about it since we were going to Coast 236 for dinner, and I knew I'd be ordering bottle service then.
Saul (10/5): This was our seventh time staying at the Wickwood and every time our stay has been wonderful! - The breakfast menu offered great variety and food was excellent. The afternoon social was enjoyable. The baked items were delicious (e.g., carrot cake, cherry tart, and apple pie). I love the comfort of the home in every space! We were in a small king room that was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. However, we would liked to have had a small chair.

N&R (8/5): - It's a nice bed and breakfast owned by a famous chef/food writer. Parking is adequate. Located in a nice neighborhood on the edge of the busy Butler St. The rooms are nice and clean. The decor is a bit oppressive and it actually makes the place smaller, however. This is an old house converted to a bed and breakfast, and that means the bathroom in our room, though functional, was a bit tight. Shower pressure was a bit inadequate. Breakfasts were nice.
