To be able to taste various little dishes was very delightful. The staff spoke English to a very good degree and was very helpful. The onsen was soothing and quite hot - ideal for the cold winter.

• Yi-Ching (9/5): - Got to try out private onsen, but freezing code when we visit Didn’t know that we have to pay extra onsen fee when checking out. Wasn’t much but didn’t feel good when you weren’t informed beforehand. BTW, my friends didn’t go to public shower at all.
• Gaëlle (10/5): Notre coup de cœur à Hokkaido - L’emplacement est idéal pour visiter le parc national de Shiretoko. L’hôtel propose même un service de navette jusqu’à la gare routière d’Utoro, ce qui est extrêmement pratique lorsqu’on n’a pas de voiture. Le personnel est absolument adorable et toujours aux petits soins. Nous sommes restés deux nuits et avons particulièrement apprécié que les dîners et les petits-déjeuners soient différents chaque jour. Tout était délicieux, magnifiquement présenté et élaboré à partir de produits locaux. Un véritable régal pour les yeux et les papilles ! Nous avons aussi profité de l’onsen extérieur privatif le premier soir, une expérience magique et très relaxante. La chambre était très spacieuse, impeccable (d’une propreté irréprochable), les lits extrêmement confortables, et le calme absolu face à la mer… un vrai havre de paix. Nous espérons revenir à l’automne pour découvrir la région sous d’autres couleurs ! Rien, un séjour parfait du début à la fin.

• Philip (10/5): Wunderbar - Das Hotel und die Gegend waren traumhaft. Es hat viel geschneit und das Hotel hat alles perfekt organisiert. Das private Außenonsen war ein Traum. Während die dicken Schneflocken fielen konnte man sich im perfekt temperierten Quellwasser erholen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Top! Nichts!

• Alice (10/5): Un superbe séjour collé au magnifique parc national - Collé au parc national du Shiretoko, on ne peut pas faire mieux pour la localisation. Les dîners et petit-déjeuner changent si vous restez plusieurs jours. La cuisine est très locale, cependant il faut être habitué aux goûts et textures de la cuisine japonaise traditionnelle pour l’apprécier. Je conseillerais la demi-pension aux voyageurs occidentaux expérimentés (pour les enfants ça peu vraiment être compliqué d’apprécier) Les onsens publics et privés sont exceptionnels, c’est idéal pour se réchauffer le soir après une longue journée de randonnée dans le froid. Attention les onsens privés (ceux utilisables en couple), sont uniquement en extérieur, vestiaires et douche compris, la douche sous 5 degrés est difficile! Le personnel comprend bien l’anglais ce qui facilite la communication, mais on sent qu’on manque une partie de l’expérience client en ne parlant pas/peu japonais. Les créneaux pour manger son à heure fixe (7h/7h30/8h et 18h/19h). J’aurais aimé des plus grande plages horaires, surtout le matin puisque il fait jour dès 5h (on « perd » 2h de randonnée)

• Assaf (10/5): Wonderful stay with delightful meals by the sea - The whole stay was wonderful, everything from the room through the onsen to the meals was perfect. The room was spacious and well equipped, large enough for two futon beds that were arranged while we had dinner, a small table and a counter with bar seats by the window (which had a lovely sea view). As for the food, we had dinner and breakfast which were both fantastic and comprised of several small dishes - cold plates, tempura , fried fish and more. We also used the private onsen and had great time.

• Jai (10/5): Perfect hotel for relaxing - Stunning hotel, room was large and comfortable, in a great spot away from all the other hotels but not too far to walk to everything in town. Staff were wonderful and had good english which helped a lot. Dinner and breakfast were made with such care and used local fresh ingredients, especially the locally caught fish. Would come back for a longer stay next time.

• KUNGYOYO (9/5): 太完美的家值得再回來 - 訂房時決定知床季風，由整個家族成員管理，不屬於團體客訂房，一定寧靜許多。 果真，老爺爺老奶奶坐鎮，年輕一輩忙進忙出，好有活力的一家子。 遠道而來的客人都帶著大件行李，如果安排二樓客房，行李不好扛上樓，要老爺爺提，我們過意不去。 建議設立一個只搭載行李的簡易升降梯，客人可從容優雅上二樓，旅店主人也不用扛行李而傷到腰骨。

Sehr gute Lage am Meer und unmittelbar am Nationalpark Shiretoko. Man muss japanisches Essen vor allem das Frühstück mögen (ohne Brot, viel Fisch etc.). Lage direkt an einer Durchgangsstraße, deshalb kein Schlafen mit offenem Fenster möglich.

De ondergaande zon vanuit t hotel een bonus. 5 min met de auto van het centrum met confience store. Het is een kwestie van smaak, maar bedden zijn wat hard.

Beautiful view of the Sea of Okhotsk from the rooms! The space around the toilet bowl was rather small and would likely not be too comfy for taller people.

• Jasmaine (10/5): Recommended place at Shiretoko - Simply a gem, a family run little hotel with complete service with half board of specially curated menu from local ingredients. The open air onsen was the highlight..required reservation..the room was spacious and clean, the bath accessories and designs are modern and functional. The hotel is located close to the sea and parking was just right in front of our room. The room door locking system is advanced ,unlike most hotels in Hokkaido still uses the physical key system. The mattresses were laid on a raised wooden frame that cpuld fit 3 single mattresses. We had 2 single mattresses and as result the mattresses were able to shift we we turned around. I guess the mattresses were rather light.

But the hotel takes it even further. Elegant yet simple and welcoming. The food was delicious and the staff really helpful. It was perhaps the most beautiful place of our trip.
