- Anthony Charlton (8/5): - Really clean & recently decorated. It has sky TV in the room which is free & really nice.
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
We stayed here one night, we didn't get breakfast as we were going into Oxford in the morning and thought it was excellent value for the price. We got the bus and it took around 15 mins into Oxford.

- Ann (10/5): - Was a very warm welcome on arrival. The lady could see i have mobility problem and couldn't use the stairs was quickly sorted and a room was ground floor room which was so kind. Nothing was any trouble would definitely stay again. I fault the shower was quite small but on whole not a problem.

- Christophe (4/5): Passez votre chemin.

- Jonathan (8/5): - Very clean and comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Good parking and quiet in the evening. Some nice restaurants close by. TV was not well placed in our room (triple) but didn't impact our stay.
- Balan (10/5): - Amplasarea locații excelenta pentru a vizita centrul, stația de autobuz in fata hotelului, doamna de la Recepție foarte drăguța ,ospitaliera si prietenoasa, ii mulțumim PTR.ajutorul acordat

- Ian Christopher (10/5): -
- Zac (10/5): - The staff were lovely, location was good, price was competitive, and the room was nice The shower was pretty noisy. It made a very loud humming noise when turned on. Aside from that, no negative feedback.
- Stephen (9/5): Great trip away! First time in Oxford and lovely kept rooms - Lovely welcome & easy access in and out, with easy key drop off. Very autonomous & great parking. Nothing
- KAY (5/5): -
- Svitlana (8/5): - The room was clean but it turned out to be too hot for me. I opened the windows in the evening for a bit bit then woke up several times as it was too hot. There was no shower gel in the bathroom but Julie promptly provided some on request.
- Helen (9/5): Excellent property for visiting hospitals in Oxford, exceptionally clean with very helpful owners - Julie the owner gave a very warm welcome and could not have been more helpful, even letting me leave the car at the property the next day so I could attend the hospital for a course. It’s perfectly situated for the John Radcliffe hospital, only a few minutes stroll away, with local shops and restaurants on the same road, and pubs. My room was exceptionally clean and bed was very comfy. Good amount of tea, coffee, milk etc left in room. I had a room looking out onto garden which had a lovely view. Perfect for what I needed If you like a powerful shower then you might be disappointed as mine was completely adequate but didn’t have lots of power. As there are fire doors to each room and around the property it can be noisy when people move around as doors slam. But everyone came in early when I stayed so this didn’t disturb me at all. I didn’t have the breakfast but it is a continental breakfast only, which might bother people who want a cooked breakfast.

- mandy (10/5): A perfect home from home stay - Perfect location Julie was warm friendly and helpful the breakfast was amazing with a great variety to choose from the room had added extras and was extremely comfortable Absolutely nothing
- tracylW6584YB (10/5): 5 stars fantastic guest house - Had an unexpected trip to Oxford and booked Red Mullions
Everything about this guest house was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service when we had breakfast Room itself was well equipped with great amenities and comfortable.
Only booked the one night but had to extend my stay Julie the host was absolutely amazing . I felt well looked after and knew that she cared about her guests.

- Caroline (8/5): Muito bom - Localização Escadas sem elevador
- Glynis (9/5): Stayed here a number of times when visiting friends in Oxford - Handy for buses
- 334mandyr (10/5): Highly Recommended - Julie is a wonderful host. I stayed there while my husband had heart surgery. Julie was so accommodating when we had his first op cancelled on the day and then fitted us in when it was rescheduled.
She made a difficult time so much easier.
Rooms are well furnished, clean and comfortable. There was always a friendly welcome at breakfast.
I would highly recommend staying here
- 323susiep (10/5): Operation at John Radcliffe Hospital - Red Mullions was the perfect location - I choose Red Mullions as my husband was undergoing major open heart surgery at the John Radcliffe hospital and I needed to be close by. The location is perfect, especially as it is impossible to park at the hospital. The guesthouse is about a 7 minute walk and you can leave your car in the Red Mullions car park.
- 789janeem (10/5): John Radcliffe - We were staying here because we had a family member in the ICU at the John Radcliffe Hospital. We had no idea when he was going to be coming out and Julie and her team were just brilliant. They were so flexible with our dates and couldn’t have been more helpful. Also perfectly positioned for walking to the hospital, buses and pubs!
- Clare (8/5): Perfect location, for a clean and well appointed place to stay. - Location perfect for the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Room was clean and tidy and great off street parking.
Staff were very welcoming. Next time will try the breakfast, smelt and looked great. Larger bath towels would be nice, and a fan in the room. Even though the room was lovely and cosy for the time of year and for those that feel the cold. A fan would be preferable for those that prefer a colder sleeping environment.
- Sarah (8/5): Clean, comfortable stay. Great location -
- Paula (10/5): - Clean, comfy room. Great location with parking Nothing
- Daveanand (7/5): -
- James (7/5): - The location was very good for the university ,the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was well presented ,clean and had everything I needed. The Bed was extremely uncomfortable it was very hard unfortunately.

- Dijie (9/5): -

I’ve been waiting for open heart surgery and while staying there they care
for all your needs.
We would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone having surgery at the John Radcliffe hospital it’s only 5min walk away.
Once again l would like to thank Julie for going above and beyond
Andy &. Kate
- Abu-Adam (10/5): - The staff was great, especially the receptionist. Very kind and helpful. No elevator.
- Lesley (9/5): -
- Ron (8/5): Zeer goed bevallen. - Locatie is perfect voor een verblijf in Oxford. De keuze bij het ontbijt had iets uitgebreider mogen zijn.
- FourJsandB (10/5): A delightful home in Oxford! - What a welcoming and comfortable house for our visit. Julie, the proprietor, is one of the kindest, most efficient and professional hosts we have encountered anywhere. It is located in a quiet yet accessible area, the room was more than comfortable with every necessary amenity and breakfast was very satisfying. When back in Oxford we know exactly where to stay.
- Catherine (10/5): Lovely guest house in a great location - It was clean, the room was lovely, a nice shower room and great location N/A

Thank you so much Julie what should have been 10 days ended in 3 weeks
You were so accommodating xx
- Mary (8/5): -
- kam (9/5): -
- Adam (8/5): Great value for money - would recommend - Very friendly and welcoming staff, with very clean facilities and lovely warm bed. Quite thin walls so could hear talking, TV etc from the room next door
- Karuna (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Amelia (7/5): - Location, staff and free parking Lacking in cleanliness, shower slow to drain so filled shower tray
- Hassall (6/5): -
- Journey513553 (10/5): nice and lovely place - nice place, clean and comfy beds, good breakfast and the bus station is right at the door. It is a little far from Centre Oxford, but close to shops and restaurants and quiet. Julia was very nice and understanding with this person a little stressed in this first time in England and by herself (I mean, me). I totally recommended, and thank you, ladies.
- Kevin (10/5): - We had a hospital appointment at the JR and the Red Mullion was a perfect location, we asked if we could leave the car in the hotel car park whilst attending the appt and was told "of course" without hesitation. The lady in charge "Jilly" was very friendly and accommodating, the room was 100% perfect and on subsequent visits we won't hesitate to stay there again, it's also very convenient for the bus into central Oxford for sightseeing and shopping, on this occasion we didn't have breakfast as it was an early appt but on the next occasion we will certainly have breakfast.
- Kevin (8/5): Lovely hotel - Clean Nothing
- Renske (8/5): -
- Sylvie 73 (4/5): - Poca cosa Casi nada, para el precio. Caro
- patrick (6/5): - Location and onsite parking The smell of the room. Hearing a fridge compressor continually kicking in all through the night. The length of time it took the tap hot water to come through. Shower needs updating.
- T1254PDgeorgeg (10/5): Wonderful Establishment!! - Had a brilliant experience staying at the Red Mullions, the staff were welcoming and friendly, we stayed in room 7 with our son, this was a well laid out room that was clean, well proportioned, warm and cozy. The lady who looked after us at breakfast (Julie? sorry can’t remember exactly), was very friendly and approachable, when chatting about my wife not feeling well that morning, she couldn’t have been more understanding and helpful, it was really appreciated. I can’t recommend this establishment highly enough, we will definitely be returning, when we visit our daughter at University again. Thank you.
- J (10/5): - Cozy and warm No elevators and front desk is not open for after 11 so to collect the keys from the box that has security code would be bit fuzzy when you are new to the place
- Hassall (10/5): -
- Laura (8/5): -
- Hoving (9/5): -
- April (9/5): Good location, clean and comfortable room. - Good location, not even a 20 minute bus to town centre. Very clean, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Our room was next to the breakfast area so we were awoken when people went to breakfast.
- Ping-Ting (10/5): -
- Clare (8/5): This is a great place to stay for comfort, cleanliness and convenience for visiting JR hospital - Convenience for John Radcliffe Hospital. Friendly welcome by Dee. Refilling hot chocolate and biscuits daily! Clean and comfortable with lovely homely touches. The shower was slow to drain (reported to property).
- Richard (9/5): -
- Karen3100 (10/5): Comfortable stay. - Good guesthouse. We stayed while trying to settle our daughter into university.
10 minute walk to Oxford Brookes. Bed was comfortable. Great selection for continental breakfast. Pami was very welcoming & helpful. Free parking was a bonus & we managed to get a space each day. Although it is not guaranteed.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Good for a short stay when visiting nearby universities and hospitals.
- Jessalyn (10/5): - It was a relaxing and comfortable stay. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Firstly, we had a warm welcome on arrival. Pami and her husband were very helpful. The guest house, which is set back from the road with dozen or so parking spaces, is on a main bus route into Oxford and close to bus stops in each direction. Heading to shops and a fuel station are a minute or so walk. The room was spacious and clean with a walk-in shower in the en suite. Their Continental breakfast set us up for the day. It includes warm bread, a platter of cheeses and separately cold meats as well as eggs, conserves, yogurts, toast and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. We enjoyed our stay at the Red Mullions guest house and next time we visit Oxford would be happy to stay there again.
- Andrea (6/5): - The bathroom smelt of mildew, and the shower drain was backed up. The room was good otherwise. Staff was very friendly.
- Tilly (10/5): Friendly staff and welcoming, rooms were perfect for what we needed - Clean and homely
- Rafid (7/5): Great location nice staff - needs updating - Very nice staff, room cleaned daily and a great location for Headington, Oxford Brookes and easy bus ride to town centre. Water pressure poor, shower head needs changing, limited toiletries and poor quality towels. Heating not working but wasn't really needed. Water pressure, towels, toiletries and heating.

- Surya (1/5): Wort experience - I stayed at this hotel for just one night—thankfully. I checked in at 6:00 PM and checked out by 9:00 AM the next morning. Without exaggeration, this was the worst hotel stay of my life. There was no water coming from the shower. My wife and I had just driven from Edinburgh to Oxford, completely exhausted, and all we wanted was a hot shower. Instead, we were met with dry taps.
Somehow, we managed to wash our faces and rushed out within 30 minutes to attend a conference. We returned around 10:00 PM, hoping the issue had been resolved, but there was still no water. I messaged the hotel immediately through Booking.com—no response. Morning came, and again, no water.
To make matters worse, my wife was menstruating. The lack of basic hygiene facilities wasn’t just inconvenient—it was disgusting and unacceptable.
We checked out at 9:00 AM and informed the receptionist in person. Her response? A casual, "I saw your message last night. Sorry." That was it.
This experience was beyond disappointing—it was negligent and inexcusable. I stayed at this hotel for just one night—thankfully. I checked in at 6:00 PM and checked out by 9:00 AM the next morning. - kirsty (8/5): - Lovely staff, clean and comfortable.
- Ray (7/5): Fit for purpose.. - Convenient location. Staff were very friendly Continental breakfast was expensive.
- Jennifer (10/5): Friendly staff very clean and comfortable with a great location - Excellent location for visiting our son at university, easy to get into the city Nothing everything was excellent
- clemancyg (10/5): Good bed and breakfast accommodation near John Radcliffe Hospital, - We spent one night at Red Mullions so that we could get the JR Hospital for an early appointment.
We went with low expectations but were very pleasantly surprised.
The room (a superior one) was a good size with double glazing. It was comfortable and clean. There was good internet connection. The bathroom was also a good size and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast next morning was continental but good. Excellent choice of cereals/ yoghurt/fresh and tinned fruit/cold meat and cheese. Toast and hot drinks served at the table by a friendly and welcoming person.
Particularly pleased to be able to perk our car outside, this is not guaranteed but there sufficient spaces.
- Elizabeth (10/5): 5/5 would stay there again 😂 - Couldn’t fault the staff they were amazing. And prompt, even letting us check in a little early. The guest house is right next to a bus stop making it easy to get into Oxford itself. Along with having off road packing for guests cars. It was clean tidy presentable. And even had little quirks of Alice in wonderland going up the stairs which added a little character
- Lynette (10/5): - Parking and very clean room. The lady was very helpful.
- Mark (9/5): Very clean, good sized room overlooking the back yard, good breakfast & friendly & helpful staff. - The Red Mullion met our expectation, it is easily accessible, and a bus ride to Oxford city centre. It's very clean, good sized room overlooking the back yard, good continental breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Nil
- Gayla (8/5): Cute Inn, close to all - Enjoyed our stay. Close to bus stops and city center. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Comfortable beds, move hot water on demand for showers.
- Sarah (10/5): - Wow!!! What a lovely surprise. We expected just your average guesthouse, but we were blown away. This place was so lovely. The guest house and our room were exceptionally clean. The owners had thought of everything: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, lovely-smelling products in the bathroom, kettle, Biscoff biscuits to go with the tea or coffee. Plenty of towels.
Despite being on the top floor, the shower was powerful. We had really comfortable beds and slept like babies.
It took us less than 10 minutes to get into Oxford in an Uber, which cost less than £10.
The staff are adorable. We will definitely be going back soon.
