- Kevin (10/5): A fantastic stay in the heart of Split in a perfect location - Perfect location right beside the Golden Gate entrance to Diocletian’s Palace and within easy walking distance of everything in Split Old Town. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet at night despite the central location. We loved having a balcony overlooking the street. Mladen was a wonderful host — friendly, helpful, and full of great local information. He even met us at the airport and drove us to the property, which was a fantastic start to our stay. Breakfast at a nearby restaurant was also excellent. Highly recommend for value, location, and hospitality. There was nothing to dislike.

Overall quiet in the evening. Sokol was a wonderful host, we had him pick us up from the airport, which was very helpful. He helped us find great places to eat. Breakfast was included at the amazing Luxor Café. This is not just coffee and a croissant, it was a full beautiful breakfast. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. Highly recommend! Nothing

- Aleta (10/5): Stay there, you will not be disappointed. Believe all the positive reviews. - Location was central to all activities throughout the palace walls and close to the market. It was clear that the property had been lovingly restored and very well maintained. The included breakfast at the Luxor (2 minute walk in a small, popular square) was delightful. The host/staff took care of every need for arrival/departure and provided plenty of timely communication to assure your comfort. Will DEFINITELY return. We knew at the time of booking that there was no elevator - understandable, given the age of the structure. The owner/staff went out of their way to help with luggage to overcome this issue.

The property is located within the city walls, and breakfast is served at the Luxor Hotel, right in front of the Cathedral. The room was extremely comfortable, clean, and modern, while still preserving the original character of the building. If we were to visit again, we would definitely choose this place once more! Everything went smoothly during our stay — we truly have only good things to say. :)

- ELEANOR (8/5): Great place to stay with tricky car parking - Everything except the car drop off system. The wife is really lovely. The husband meets you and takes your car and parks it at a car park near his house. If you have a rental car your insurance will be void if he is involved in an accident. So we opted to follow him to park the car - extremely stressful. We got screamed at by another guest as we walked up to our room at 10 pm for being too loud - we were not talking but just climbing the stairs - maybe some carpet would help.

Our place was cleaned every day and was spotless. Falcon gave us lots of tips of where to go and where to eat and the ones we did were excellent. Breakfast was at Lvxor Cafe and we had great choices. We went back there for drinks as well. They even made us a take away pack for the next day as we’re leaving early on ferry. Nothing- wouldn’t change.

Very comfortable bed, lovely host, we had the attic room, which was up many flights of stairs, and he kindly carried our luggage for us. Not good if you are unable to do a lot of stairs.

The bed is comfortable and the room is clean and well maintained If you are arriving from the airport, definitely take advantage of the driver service to the hotel. If you are arriving after hours, make sure you have the phone number of the manager so you can get in.

Gorgeously updated to be modern and clean while also keeping some of the character that shows the incredible history of the place. The owner, Falcon, was so friendly and helpful. We had to leave for the airport at 5am and he personally agreed to meet us and drive us so we didn’t have to worry about getting a cab or Uber at that time. We only stayed one night, but wish we had more. Loved it!!! Loved everything!

Falcon, our host, greeted us enthusiastically soon after arrival with much information about our stay and the local dining options. The room was very comfortable with a stocked mini-bar. This was a welcome treat. The showers were hot with plush bath towels, bathrobes and slippers. The history of the Diocletian Palace is right there in the room with a stone wall and windows that are a testament to the history of this building. The breakfast at the LVXOR Hotel (2 minutes away) was delicious and served in yet another part of the palace overlooking the square. There were so many dining options with 1 to 5 minutes from the rooms. Falcon would have taken us to the airport but we had already prepaid for a ride. Overall, this was a fantastic three nights in Split.

It was fairly quiet during the night and the location was excellent, being in the old-town. The rainfall shower was broken and spurted water over the wall rather than straight down. We reported this to the off-site reception but no-one came to fix it while we were there.

- James (8/5): Split stay - The room we booked was not the room we were given on arrival. The owner said all the rooms were the same but they don't appear to be on Hotels.com website, different colour decor etc. We booked the larger 20sq metre room but the room we were given was not it. Nothing could be done as the hotel was booked out. We feel that there must have been miscommunication regarding room photos between Grgur Ninski rooms and Hotels.com. There was nothing wrong with the room we stayed in, just disappointing it wasn't the room we booked.

The marina is close walking distance to get to private island boat trips or ferries. Many wonderful restaurants and shops and historical sites all around you.

Despite being in the heart of the Roman historical Centre, we were immediately in a quiet and peaceful sanctuary when we walk through the door the exceptional quality of all of the fittings And facilities in this apartment makes it exceptional value for money in view and it is a real tribute to the owner. No corners have been cut or pennies being pinched and getting out this wonderful place to stay we recommend it unreservedly Nothing at all

The owner was so accommodating, helping with luggage to and from the facility from our driver’s drop off. Just be prepared for stairs up to your room and you will need to bring and luggage/etc from outside the city wall to the apartments. But totally worth the extra arraignments.

We arranged for transportation to and from the airport. Very punctual. They suggested local restaurants. Everything was wonderful and I will go back when I visit again.

- Deborah (10/5): - Don’t pass up the opportunity to stay at Grgur Ninski Rooms. Beautiful & unique. Difficult to find but owner, Falkland, met us outside the Diocletian’s Place west main gate. Stones throw from there. Owner very helpful. Rooms adorable. Nicely decorated. Refreshing drinks in fridge was a nice welcoming gift. Walking around easy, lots to enjoy & explore in the palace. Waterfront & excursions through the east gate. Amazing!
