Guest Reviews
- Desiree (8/5): - There was a horrible smell coming from the houses behind motel . Its not a suite its a motel . But most of all.it was clean and easily accessible to highway and downtown.
- Dana (8/5): - Motel is a convenient 10-12 minute walk from DART station. There is a gas station/food mart and an ice cream/coffee place one block away. There is a tacqueria 2 blocks away. Motel is conveniently located near 35E service/access road.
- Esther (2/5): - I hated everything! The restrictions, the smell. All the rooms smell of smoke. There was ever a rat in one of the rooms. Please rub from this motel cos it’s not worth the money. I couldn’t even breathe because it looked like the staff were watching me like a hawk whenever I moved around. The moment I had a friend dropped me off, they called me that “no guests were allowed” then I wandered how and why they were watching me. Did they also have a camera in the rooms??? Not worth the money in any way!!! Not enjoyable and very smelly.
- Gerardo (10/5): - Awesome place to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): You get what you pay for - Had to deal with 2 bugs in the bathroom when I first entered, there was some already opened packets for shampoo as well. Overall was fine though other than that.
- keith (6/5): - Alright
- jaasiel (4/5): - not sure if it’s for all rooms but room 120 has gaps on the door so you can hear outside. i kept waking up due to the passing cars right infront of the property. I really don’t recommend this place for that reason. that’s a very big reason. search elsewhere! my trip was last minute and i paid the price.
- keith (6/5): - Decent
- Damian (10/5): - Thanks
- Verified traveler (4/5): Even though its cheap. Wouldnt recommend. - Room smelled like smoke, had to leave the door open to vent or out. Dust everywhere. Gross.
- Michiaki (10/5): - Good!!
- Maria (2/5): - We stayed here because of its proximity to downtown Dallas. This motel is very run down. Just plain dirty. During our entire stay our room was not cleaned. I do not recommend. Avoid at all costs. Stay somewhere else!
- PERRY (10/5): - Great sleep!
- Marco A. Flores (10/5): - Good place to go and rest.
- Charlotte (8/5): - It was a good stay, no bugs, safe. It was just kinda odd. Looks like an apartment complex. Room literally basic.
- dana (8/5): - This is my third stay at Trinity Suites. I like staying here because: it is a clean, reasonably priced, basic motel; it is only a 10-12 minute walk from the DART Red Line, taking me easily and quickly to downtown; the maid-service is good; there is a food mart one block from the motel, for necessities.
- Joann (10/5): - It was a good stay, bed was comfortable.
- Jacob (2/5): Avoid if possible - Place was a dump. Very dirty.
- Vincent (4/5): - The property looks old and run down. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean and had modern decor. There was some minor damage on the walls and bathroom tile. It's just a shame the exterior of the property looks like a place where you think you're on the wrong side of town where bad things happen.
- Axel (10/5): - The room was super clean and equipped for how cheap the price was, only downside was the AC wasn't very good.
- dana (8/5): - This is a good, basic, clean no-frills motel at a reasonable price. It is 10-12 minute walk from DART Red Line stop at 8th & Corinth, providing easy acccess to downtown. There is a gas station/food mart 1 block away, where necessities can be bought.
- Monika (4/5): - nothing
- Paul (6/5): Basic but OK if you are on a budget - Basic, dated but OK. I was in Dallas for the eclipse which had driven up demand and prices, I wasn't willing to pay the inflated prices at other hotels so this was OK for my budget. It's not Downtown as the name suggests but a 10 min walk from the 8th & Corinth Dart station, the only food nearby was Mexican nothing else. There was some traffic noise from the road nearby but I am a light sleeper.
- Stephen (8/5): - Most of the area around it looked pretty sketchy. It however, was a nice place. Just don’t trust the word Suite, it does not mean what you think it does.
- Josie (10/5): Good night Sleep - I felt safe and had a good night sleep
- Albert (8/5): - A good value for the money.
- Darryl (6/5): - Property was more than adequate for my needs. Being super critical it could do with a deep clean and a lick of paint but this isn’t on the housekeepers. If you’re just looking for a cheap roof over your head you can do much worse. Bus stop right outside takes you to the Bishop Arts District in 5-10 minutes where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Bus to the city is a 5 minute walk away. Would stay again.
- Iveta (10/5): - Great for the price. Easy access to public transportation or an easy 1 hour walk to downtown.
- Tahereh (8/5): Very Good Stay! - The hotel is situated in an area close to where we needed to be for 3 days. The bed was very comfortable and a super kind staff member checked on us daily to provide what we needed. Coffee was provided and it was very quiet and peaceful! Thank you!
- Harold (10/5): Excellent experience - It was very clean room, nice service, friendly owners.
- Amanda (2/5): - Property did not state not good for kids. Inappropriate sexual loud acts coming from multiple rooms. Daughter- athlete had to compete with no sleep really embarrassing what she heard. Also stated close to convention center- did not say a freeway blocking it which doubled Uber and time. Floor was really dirty
- David (8/5): Lived up to expectations - Room was clean - I was only staying one night, and it was everything I needed it to be. Shower had good water pressure. Towels and sheets were clean (though another blanket might have been nice).
- Dino (4/5): - We picked this place for its close location to downtown but don't let the name downtown suites fool you because its neither. The rates to stay are good but not with any hot water. We had to check out super early mainly for the water situation but the noise level was extreme and this started around 2 am and continued for awhile.
I spoke with the manager upon leaving and suggested a discount for not having hot water. He said the room took ten minutes but both my wife and I ran water enough to fill tub up and temperature was maybe 80.
- Hunter (2/5): - Horrible hospitality and dirty property. Was locked out of room one night and then was told we needed to check out 15 minutes before our actual checkout.
- dana (8/5): - This was a good, solid, quiet, basic motel. My room was clean and well-equipped: e.g., mini-fridge; microwave; coffee maker; iron/board; hair dryer. The housekeeping was good. It was an older motel, which had clearly been newly renovated. There were flashing, colored (red/green/blue) LED lights, which I kind of enjoyed, (though you could turn them off, if you didn't like them.) The motel was about a 10-minute walk from the DART Red Line (light rail) to downtown (3 stops). There was a big gas station/mini-mart about a 2-3 minute walk from motel, where you could buy basic stuff, if necessary. I have stayed at many, many motels, and so can say that the TV channel selection was somewhat above average.
- Andres (10/5): - Forgot a ring and they saved up for me for my return. Thank you!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very quiet and comfortable stay. The room was clean considering age of the property. Great stay for short business trip. Definitely a place to lay down and shower wile on a business trip
- Gregory (4/5): - I stayed at this hotel for 1 night, during a recent trip to Dallas. I attempted to call to arrange check-in, upon booking a reservation, and could never get ahold of the front desk. As I attempted to sleep my first night there, my skin itched to the point I awoke, showered, and checked out at 6am. I am now battling bed bugs, because the owners of this facility failed to change out the bedding in my room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible condition, Will Never stay here again. - I was completely stunned by the condition of the room and furniture based off the pictures posted on the hotels.com website. The lampshades had black smudges on all of them, the floor was dirty. The room felt unclean and I was genuinely concerned that I might get bed bugs from the sheets in the room. If the ad would have said it was in a seedy part of town and featured rotating flashing led lights in the ceiling, I would have understood the type of motel it was and made other arrangements.
- Scott (2/5): - The property is set across from the school. It is a very old building. I believe management uses the ground floor as a home it was very sketchy pulling into the parking lot. I checked in and went into the room. The first thing I did was check for bedbugs, and I found none, upon pulling back the sheet, it was a stained mattress cover that was not waterproof along with a burn mark pulling back, the mattress pad revealed a horribly stained mattress looking at the pillows they were all mismatched with no pillow cover only a case all of the pillows were horribly stained The room itself appeared to have recently been remodeled. I went down and checked with the property management and asked if there was a room with a newer bed. Property management became irate and responded. What do you sleep on the mattress or the sheets? I said the sheets and I politely asked if there was a newer bed available management you can leave I will give you refund, I want to speak with my wife as we were speaking the manager stormed up to the room and called me up. They were recording me without my permission, asking me to show the stains when I did they told me I could stop and that I should go, I should go I should go , so I did upon calling Expedia. Expedia said they would have to talk to the property management at which time management refused the refund.
- Jose (4/5): - Place was nice, but some lights were out. Furniture weirdly placed.
No actual sheets just a comforter. All in all somewhat sketchy area. Would not recommend.
- Jessa D. (10/5): - Very nice and clean, room attendant is very friendly and approachable. Great place to stay short stays and long stays.
- Alan (8/5): - Easy getting checked in.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - room smelled really badly. it had trash in it. attendant was very rude and yelled at me. do not recommend. should be shut down.
- Miguel (2/5): - First walking in the room was even more hot than it is outside, humid dirty and burn cigarette holes all in the blanket. Dirty! Mattress was filthy and should be put out of business! I was very uncomfortable and very unsafe. Based on the picture that was taken is definitely a scam for your money! Will never come here again! I have three small children 11/6/4 and definitely not safe! Was looking to get a room on another hotel but it was late and kids were tired. 0 out of 10
- Mathew (8/5): Cheaper than hotels in the city - This hotel was good for a shower and sleeping. It was cheaper than the hotels in the city. Nothing really good or bad to say about it.
- Bradley (6/5): - This is a great place to stay if working out of town, not to bring the family. The lobby has no AC, the rooms have the AC turned off all day, so youll probably enter it and its 101°. Not such a big problem i turned the AC on and ran some errands came back to a cool room. The parking lot is pretty small. Great room for the price. Quiet area, away from traffic.
- Hailey (10/5): It's go time!!! - If you want an interesting stay, this is your go-to place! Nice touch with the LED light strips in the rooms to set ambiance.
- adrianfW8351CE (2/5): Front counter needs a vacation - In town from CA for business. Booked 2 nights with my wife, we left at 11 pm for another hotel. The disrespect we were met with gave us anxiety and made us feel unwelcomed. I updated the hosts with every thing we had planned for the day and he met us with what looked like disgust. Told to move our car over 1 space without a reason while we were just packing up to leave (due to my previous mention) I tried to be nice and he just waved me off. I understand he might deal with shoddy people but not all people are shoddy. I hope he takes a vacation, he deserves one for the hard work I’m sure he puts in. Videotaped the room before leaving to make sure I wasn’t charged for anything. Will not book again. Happily paid $114 for something else
- Chayse (2/5): - The automatic room call tranfer service works poorly. Many times incoming calls are sent to front desk. Owner screamed at my father and threatened too charge 50 dollars for trying too reach me in my room
- Bianca (2/5): Feels like you’re staying at a gross family’s hous - This was the worst and nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The whole place seemed like it was covered in grime. There was dust and yucky crusty stuff on the furniture/fixtures. I didn’t even want to walk around without socks or shoes. The bedspread was an old faded bedspread. It was so bad I decayed driving back to Austin at 1am. The pics definitely do not show the true quality and it’s a shame hotels.com has this property on their website. This seemed to be an old section 8 housing turned into a hotel.
- Rose (8/5): Needs facelift - I booked this hotel not seeing the outside of the hotel.and at that time I could not get a refund. The outside of the hotel definitely needs a facelift. It’s a very old motel. To my surprise the inside was newly remodeled and clean.
- Kevin (8/5): - Staff were considerate of my early check-in request.
Room was adequate but did smell when i first entered however was fixed by turning the A/C on.
Reasonably priced and comfortable
- Holly (10/5): - The blow dryer didnt work. The vent in the bathroom didnt work and leaked water when it rained.
- RICHARD (10/5): - Friendly reception, convenient to transport links and very reasonably priced.
- Amanda (10/5): - It’s always a bit unnerving to reserve a hotel whose name you’re unfamiliar with, but I was quite pleased with the Trinity. It’s a small, older, family owned (assumption here) hotel that has been refurbished and very comfortable. I enjoyed having coffee available in our room.
- Jonas (6/5): - To far from the convention building for convenience
- Jose (2/5): - The over priced “motel” had roaches in our room, pee stains throughout the entire bathroom floor. When first arrived to check in (Drove in from California) the lady ran out and made me move my car because I was in front of the office, even though they’re labeled as parking spots. Then she noticed I had my dog in the back seat which I was taking him to a dog daycare and she immediately called I’m assuming her husband and he too then continued to argue with me about my dog, I kept saying he’s not staying here and she kept telling “no pets… no pets” even the husband began to argue. The towels we were provided had stains and were unusable. The vent fan for the bathroom didn’t work as well as the lights. I do not recommend staying here. I’d recommend a Motel 6, at least it’s name brand and you know what you’re getting. This place is one huge false advertisement. DO NOT STAY HERE!
- SarahM2023corn (6/5): Enjoyed our stay - The people in the office were nice. There were a couple of things we noticed were dirty. The top part of the shower and a stain on the sheets. Over all the stay was good and we had no problems. I rented off of the hopper app.
- kelly (10/5): - if you are looking for a quiet hole in the wall in the middle of downtown dallas look no further. inexpensive, clean, polite, quiet and i got a smoking room. it was exactly what i was looking for.
- Eric (8/5): - Not what I expected from photos
- Verified traveler (4/5): Questionable... - We read reviews and knew it was a cheap place going into it. The positives, convenient to downtown, and the sheets and towels were Clean, the a/C blew hard and kept us comfortable. Everything else? Yikes. The room was filthy, everything covered in sticky, dusty grime. Broken outlet plate, broken lamp plug in, no bulbs in lamp. All doors and surfaces were filthy. There was food from previous customer in the fridge. The microwave was filthy inside. I spent a good portion of my evening using the wash rags and hot water to wipe down surfaces of the outlets and wall switches, baseboards, desk, dresser and night stands. I knew complaining wouldn't accomplish anything. So if you stay here, know room 109 is likely the cleanest room on the property.
- Stelian (10/5): - very good value for money. Big room and good heating. Very clean and good service. Arrived 2 hours early and I got the room, even a free upgrade to a non-smoker room. Walking distance (10 min) to the station and bus station at the door if you don't want to walk.
20 min from Downtown Dallas is petty good for the price of the room. Stayed 4 nights and it was what I needed. The neighborhood is not as scary as I thought, probably at night is dangeous but during the day is ok. Some noise from the highway but not more than the traffic in downtown Dallas.
It would've been nice to have more coathangers and some disposable plates and utensils.
- Israel (4/5): - The kind of place where you wanna check for bed bugs before you leave
- Jerry (2/5): - I did not stay at the property due to the condition of the room. I chose to leave on Friday and stayed at the Motel 6 near Loop 12 and I35E. I understand there is no refund, but I was not going to stay even if it were free.
- Thomas (6/5): - Had all the basics! refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee pot, tv etc. Too far from anything walkable. Bus stop is right outside, train is down the road. Better with rent a car.
- Chris (2/5): - Shadiest hotel I have ever seen. I didn’t sleep in because it looked so terrible and there were likely roaches around
- Demelash (10/5): - Good customer service.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Broken hot tub, weed smells and horrible carpet. - Hot rob was broken. They have thick carpet (think 1990s skating rink vibes) so it was difficult for me to open my door to my room because the carpet is literally too thick. Hotel smelled like weed. The view was the back of a parking lot. No breakfast. Front entry door is no automatic so when using luggage cart you hope someone in the lobby holds the door for you to get in without struggling too much. Ice machine was also not working.
- Rey (8/5): - The room was very clean. The a/c worked great no. The only bad thing a couple of homeless people in the area panhandling.
- Jonathan (8/5): - The place doesnt look like much on the outside but the room was in good shape, very clean, lots of in room amenities (fridge, microwave, soaps, lotions, toothbrush). It was also close to many destinations downtown. I was impressed!
- Douglas (2/5): - The room I was assigned was not the room on display for purchase, I asked why he assigned me to a different room & he said i was harassing him & he would call the police.
I continued to try & get a hold of a representative for Expedia but I could not
So I checked out of my room early & did not stay even half of my night
I feel like i’ve been scammed for the 2nd time in one weekend
& I feel used and scammed by The property
- Joseph (2/5): - Racist lady at desk
- Marisol (6/5): - This is my second time booking here. Very clean rooms and quiet. The first time I booked I arrived early morning and my room was ready but for this time I had to wait until 3PM but it does state on their page. Electricity went out due to weather for almost 5 hrs. I had to keep asking for updates. But, overall, the stay was pleasant.
- Riley (10/5): - Doesn't seem to be in the best neighborhood and it looks kinda janky from the outside, but the room had everything i needed. The bathroom door wasn't the cleanest and the light nearest the mirror make quite a loud buzzing sound. Not entirely sure how well insulated it is cause it took awhile for the cooling to make its way through the whole room. But i was happy for the price.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Free wifi ...Sike - The wifi password didn't work. Room was a bit dirty. I slept fine though.
- Clint (8/5): - Neighborhood a little sketchy but property is clean and well lit..a good value for what you pay...
- Verified traveler (2/5): I wouldn't recommend - I was only allowed 1 person in my room. NO GUEST which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Upon arrival it was told. The brown sheets on the bed were bleached and stained. When I opened the door to the room I wanted to close it and go get my money back immediately however they have NO REFUND written on the check in window big ass day. Phone started ringing at 10:55 saying its time to check out But hey it was the cheapest room, guess I got what I paid for but had I known I would have went ahead and paid that 20-30 dollars more.
- Alfonso (6/5): - I do Not recommended this place at all Maybe for the people that’s wants to be cheap like me, woke up every hour due of bed bugs biting me, rooms stinks badly no covers, was not clean at all dead bugs all over the rest room horrible service never ever coming to this hotel
- Natasha (6/5): A solo traveler - It was not close to any food places the hotel is small it was very noisy from cars passing by loud music I could hear next door who's really need to be soundproof I was on the very end I shouldn't have heard all that will not be going back the place was not as clean as it should be you can see the floor was Dusty the furniture was Dusty it just wasn't up to my standards
- Alyse (8/5): - Rooms were clean to the eye and nicely updated. Bed was comfortable but it was a matter of minutes that my throat was scratchy and by morning I was so sick. The man at the front desk was fine but not overly friendly. The neighborhood is so sketchy! Stepped out to the gas station across the street and had a car slow down to check us out, and kept circling and getting closer. It’s unfortunate, the hotels not that bad but I’d never stay there again in that area.
- Bella (2/5): - I would never again step foot on this property or give them a single penny! MAIN reason being because this property has BED BUGS!!! The owner to this property is very rude and disrespectful, after staying at this property 3 days at $85/night ( i work nights) when returned from work that morning a HUGE bed bug was crawling towards me, i jumped up and put the ice bucket over it to have proof. So when I brought it to the owner attention he KICKED ME OUT ABD THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS ON ME. Horrible just horrible and humiliating experience I’ve ever gone through!!!
- Edgar (2/5): - The place wasn't very clean and bad service
- Jeremy (2/5): - Almost 1 inch gap under exterior door. Floors were dirty. Bad neighborhood. Half the light switches did not work.
- Drifter87301 (2/5): Terrible Avoid This Place - The sheets had bodily fluid stains. The place felt so dirty and disgusting. I do not know what the other rooms look like but this one was bad. The towels had stains on them. The shower was pretty nice though. You get what you pay for here.
- Melonie (10/5): Great Stay - Simply awesome. The management are accommodating and responsive. Quiet area and close to vital places.
- Jillian (6/5): - For a cheaper hotel it was reasonable…it was what I expected.
- Lisa (10/5): - Nice workers, nice place... small things like missing light bulbs and I liked the idea of the overhead LED lights, but they went on and off...wish they would have stayed on. Otherwise...awsome and only 1/2 mi from train station
- Mindy (8/5): - Miscommunocation in deposit charging, there
- Cody (6/5): - The room was mostly clean. The bathroom tile is stained. The bath towels are extremely thin and small. No top sheet was included on the bed. The wall has been badly damaged by the office chair.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to relax and unwind!!! - The room were cleaned and they have a color Lights. customer service were really nice and Polite... I forgot my purse and I got a call from them and they said that they will keep it and i can pick it up whenever i want .. very close to to downtown and every thing is 5 minutes away.. perfect location ... friendly costumer service..I was not expecting this place to be so nice for the price we paid. I would definitely recommend this place
- Stephanie (2/5): - This is in a not so safe area. I heard gun shots. Also, the property appears to be family owned and they lacked customer service skills.
- Roseann (2/5): - It eas filthy in a bad neighborhood and the GM was horrible.
- Darez (2/5): Terrible - Terrible! Dirty Dirty. Not the kind of place to sleep in. I took a shower and still felt dirty.
- Alyssa (2/5): - It was not clean at all! Smudges all over surfaces and the rooms smell horrible. All they had was smoking rooms and it was too much to handle. Not worth the price in my opinion. The man working the front desk was also very rude for no reason. I understand some people may be rude but I wasn’t and he should be more welcoming. Try and put on a smile. Don’t recommend and don’t stay here.
- Akash Sumanth (10/5): - appreciate
- Will (4/5): - The room was filthy. Clothes from previous guest were stuffed behind the bed. There were needles on the floor. The picture makes them seem not too bad, but they are probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed and it was still $100 .
- Renea (2/5): - I did not like it at all. The moment after check in and walking to the the room, i immediately felt eerie by the front door. It looked like some one took a torch to the door. It was so disgusting that i did not qant to touch the door handle. I walked inside and barely could breath it smelled so bad. I turned right around turned the lights out and left. Drove all the way back to houston that night and lost all of my $85. Arriving back at home at 2:30am very tired and frustrated. Especially since theres no way to refund my money back.
- Giovanni (6/5): Okay - Smelled like cigarettes and water damage
- Scott (6/5): - The room was nice and clean the parking lot was well lit. The area around the motel was noisy
