- eliezer (9/5): מקום טוב למי שרוצה גישה חפשית לשחיה בכנרת. - ארוחת בוקר מצויינת. מיקום מצוין למי שרוצה גם מלון וגם גישה בהליכה לשחיה בכנרת בחוף פתוח כל היממה (אין את זה באף מלון אחר בטבריה). נוף מעולה. נקיון ללא דופי. בצ'ק אין היתה פקידה חדשה שבטעות חייבה אותנו פעמיים על השהות. למזלנו בצ'ק אטוט שמו לב לטעות ותיקנו. השטח הפתוח שלפני המלון מוזנח וראוי לנקיון וטיפוח. חנית עפר נוחה וגדולה אבל עם גרוטאות

- shay (10/5): מלון מדהים, לא להתרשם רק מהמראה החיצוני!! משופץ ויפה מבפנים - קיבלנו חדר עם נוף מדהים על הכנרת, מרווח ונעים, הצוות היה נעים ואכפתי ועזר בכל מה שהיה צריך. בחדר האוכל, האוכל היה טעים מאד, ומגוון מאד. יש מגרש חניה גדול ליד המלון בחינם, ומכיוון שהמלון רחוק במעט מהעיר הוא מאד שקט ויש לו אחלה חוף שיחסית שקט. קצת רחוק רגלית מהמרכז של טבריה למי שרוצה לצאת בערב.

The area outside of the hotel is quite run-down, and the elevator was very loud which could be heard clearly into our room from early morning hours. The pool wasn't open in April.

- shabtaib (10/5): A quiet place to rest. - We arrived for a weekend vacation, we were welcomed by a kind reception staff, a clean and tidy room, suitable for a couple. Everything is maintained and well maintained, a large and clean outdoor pool, a large and tidy dining room, the quality of the food is excellent and there is a large selection for everyone. Kind staff. The place is best suited for organized groups. Free parking near the hotel and in the square near the hotel, walking distance to the Sea of Kinneret about 5 minutes as well as to Rabbi Meir Baal Hans site

The staff were dynamitic an were very helpful especially the manager. I would recommend the hotel if you are staying in Tiberias. It is however 20 minutes from the centre of the town. The food and accommodation were excellent and the staff service were very helpful. The bedrooms were spacious with many having great views of Galilee. The hotel is good but sadly the pool was not yet open for this season. The dining room could have been bigger but the food was excellent. The rooms were clean with good service. For those who want it there is a souvenir shop in the lobby. We made good use of the bar probably could have had a beer on draft. If the hotel was just a little nearer to the centre it would be perfect for any touring group. Worth booking!
- Kathyxxxxxx (4/5): Tolerable-just. - Surly reception staff. Basic room, which smelled damp. Small double bed, with poor mattress. No room service ( We didn’t have the half board package and didn’t know it was a mile walk into Tiberius). Avoid if you can.
- aroberts55 (6/5): Initially Really Promising - My spouse and I are doing an EO tour of Israel and Jordan. When we arrived at the Royal, we were so impressed! Great view of the Sea of Galilee, in room hot tub, tasty fruit tray. The view off of the lounge is amazing. But, there were a few issues. We’re in room 910, and there is a distinct sewer smell in the room. The fitness room and pool are closed, and the staff seemed annoyed to even be asked about it. The in room tub would have taken a half day to fill to a useable level The meals were good, and it’s not the worst place I’ve stayed. It just had so much promise initially! I truly hope they can pull it together.
- WorldTravellerSoon (8/5): Decent hotel with nice breakfast dinner buffet - We stayed at Royal Plaza for 2 nights. The hotel is quite big and the service is good. There is nothing fancy but needs the need of most people. The buffet breakfast and dinner are the best part of the hotel. There are lots of choices of cold and hot food.

The hospitality of this hotel is very good, especially the manager who is still young and welcomes us. this is one of the hotels that I recommend when staying in Tiberias. staff service is very satisfying. lots of food choices. spacious room. responsive porter. although the water in the bathroom is always stagnant and needs repair, overall the hotel is good. the location is a bit far from downtown but the rooms are comfortable. the dining area is a bit cramped for groups. clean rooms and floors. guests with wheelchairs are not a problem. my family and I have stayed at this hotel several times and their standards regarding quality have not changed. it's just that the souvenir shop in the lobby is rarely opened. there is a small bar in the lobby with ample selection of drinks. i am happy to stay in this hotel.

- cherib528 (8/5): A Royal place to stay for a tour group! - I stayed here for 2 nights with my tour group with the half-board service. I enjoyed the room very much as it was large, the elevators were plenteous and worked well, it had its own temperature control, many towels, a lovely shower, and a lot of light! It was clean as well. The front desk did fail me on wake-up call requests. I usually ask for one to back up my own alarm. The breakfast and dinners were ok, but not great. The staff seemed to be in short supply during busy times. The food could be seen transitioned from day-to-day. It is a fine value, however, and I would choose it again. Don't hesitate to choose to stay here.

A large group of young people from USA arrived to Hotel and there was a lot of noises, screaming, out loud music even late evenings but administration did nothing to calm down. - Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - Our stay was disappointing. Looked nothing like the pictures online. The hotel is old, stale and tired. Just like the breakfast - old, stale and tired. Our rooms were not ready at check-in. They were quickly cleaned - but not thoroughly. Rooms were dirty. Old food was left in the mini-fridge and the bedsheets were stained - ewww. All and all a big disappointment. We will NOT be going back.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirtiest property I’ve ever been to. We were booked to stay there 4 nights and left after 1. The only reason we stayed even for 1, was that we couldn’t get into another hotel. The lobby was filthy, hallways smelled like an ashtray, and there were hairs in our beds!

I never saw anyone use it. I’ve never seen a workout machine outside and not inside. I was there for almost a week and could not work out as I planned and as I chose that=property for that reason. Also parking was listed as part of the hotel. Did not/exist. Only a dirt road and gravel pit at the bottom of the road. This is not a hotel amenity as advertise. Staff was beyond rude. Just wanted payment up front. Never saw anything like it in a supposedly four star property. Also no room service available. Hotel needs to be shut down And new management put in. ASAP

- Ben (8/5): - We stayed here for 2 nights half board. We very much enjoyed our stay, and the views over the Sea Of Galilee really were stunning. Get a lake view as the small amount extra is very much worth it. Meals were great and there was some variety day to day. The location just out of Tiberias was ideal as we had a car, so being out of the business and tourist trap was much better than in the city. Very glad we stayed here.
- alan (4/5): visit - I normally stay at other hotels when I'm at the Sea of Galilee, but they were all booked up. Royal Plaza was definitely below the standards of the more popular hotels in the area like the Gai Beach, the Ron Beach, etc. First of all Royal Plaza has major construction taking place on its doorstep. When I opened the curtains in my room, all I saw were cranes & bulldozers. The noise from the heavy machinery deafened me from sunrise to just past sunset each day. Secondly, Royal Plaza has closed off parts of its hotel. I wanted to use the gym each day, & I was told that it is in the closed area of the hotel. I was frustrated by how much I paid to stay at a hotel with shut areas & noisy construction. Finally the food was definitely the part of the hotel that needs the most help. The food service & choices were very subpar compared to the competition around them.
