• Sriram (10/5): - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They spoke English, helped me with booking trips to the Great Wall, Tianemen Square and Forbidden City. I also booked the acrobat show through the hotel. They also helped me by providing the subway access card and phone battery pack for free. The hotel also provided free laundry service which I appreciated a lot.

Many sights were easy to reach from there. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Whenever I had a question or needed help with bookings, they were there to assist.

A circa 15/20 minuti di camminata dalla città proibita.Il punto di forza di questa struttura è l'accoglienza, la gentilezza e la disponibilità del personale che parla un ottimo inglese. Un plauso particolare ad Eva: semplicemente fantastica. Disponibile e sempre con il sorriso mi ha aiutato con ogni mia richiesta. Mi ha fornito fin da subito una mappa del luogo con indicazioni e posizione dei ristoranti, mini market fermate metro più vicini e con indicazione degli orari di apertura e delle loro specialità. Mi ha saputo dare indicazione su come raggiungere i templi e le località più importanti da visitare provvedendo anche a prenotarmele direttamente. • Maldonado Lopez (7/5): Para una estancia corta en Pekín es perfecto 👌🏼 - Lo mejor sin duda es el personal que tienen allí trabajando, son realmente adorables y se desviven porque tengas una estancia perfecta. Siempre pendientes a si tenemos agua, cuando llovió nos prestaron paraguas para todo el día, nos ayudaron con entradas y un grandísimo punto a favor es que hablan inglés. La habitación es realmente pequeña con dificultad para moverte, la ventana que tiene da al pasillo y no entra luz. El wifi en la habitación va muy mal.

• María (9/5): Perfecto. - El trato ha sido exquisito. La ubicación también es perfecta y te ayudan en todo para que tu estancia en Beijing sea lo más cómoda posible. La única “pega” es que los baños tienen la ducha junto al váter y cada vez que te duchas se llena todo de agua, pero es lo de menos.

• Anna (10/5): Great experience - It is a small cosy hotel on a quiet street, behind a big shopping centre, close to two underground stations on lines 8 and 6. Conveniently, there’s a 7-Eleven and a large supermarket nearby. Our room was on the ground floor with three comfortable single beds, a kettle and air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit unusual (shower and toilet in one); there are many reviews mentioning this. Clean bed linen and towels. Unlimited tea, coffee and water. We were given prepaid metro cards, which was very handy! The transfer from Daxing Airport to the hotel costs 400 yuan. We didn’t hear any neighbours, even though the hotel was full. The reception staff were lovely and very friendly, especially Wang, who gave us advice and recommendations, helped sort out any issues, and gave everyone a souvenir magnet at the end of the stay. Thank you so much! :) Nothing - everything was great!
• Chiara (7/5): - Lo staff è stato il più gentile che abbiamo trovato nel nostro viaggio in Cina. Acqua, tè e caffè sempre disponibili gratuitamente! Inoltre questa è l'unica struttura del viaggio che aveva il wifi con la vpn europea! Il bagno è molto piccolo e quando si fa la doccia si bagna tutto (lavandino, wc..). La doccia non esiste in realtà, c'è solo un doccino posizionato sopra il water. Grande rischio di scivolare.

They go - The staff is super friendly, helpful and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable! Besides that the location is absolutely perfect and near the main attractions! It shows that it is an old hotel that could do with some love and care.

The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean - just what we wanted for a 3 night stay - this is in a great location of Beijing, plenty of places to eat and shop nearby and close to subway station, aswell as in walking distance of many attractions and tour pick up points. The staff made our trip, always asking how our day had been and offering suggestions and recommendations. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends 😊 thanks! Staff were lovely and on hand to help with trips, restaurant recommendations (which were all great!) and were on hand with free refrigerated water. There was an ice machine in reception! The hotel helped arrange our Great Wall Trip which all went smoothly The area around the hotel was also really nice and has a good vibe, for example good restaurants and coffee shops The room was quiet from the noise outside but the sound insulation between rooms was really bad; I could hear the couple in the room next to me talking late into the night, then went they moved out and any guest came in I could hear her singing and on the phone into the night too, so this disrupted my sleep The room is small and the bathroom is up a step which could be a trip hazard especially at night

They are super-friendly, are very knowledgeable and helpful with information about Beijing. As a bonus, they also speak/understand English; nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The hotel location is excellent, within very easy walking distance to 2 metro stations and there are plenty of tasty eating places nearby.

Fica numa zona muito pitoresca onde a modernidade e os edifícios históricos acabam por se cruzar. Quarto muito agradável e com todas as comodidades, perfeito depois de um dia a percorrer Pequim. No início do dia, a oferta do café ou chá, as águas, sempre com a simpatia das funcionárias e funcionário, que estavam sempre disponíveis para nos ajudar e orientar onde comer na zona, os supermercados, tours, etc... Fica numa zona muito pitoresca onde a modernidade e os edifícios históricos acabam por se cruzar, cheio de vida mas também muito tranquilo. Gostei de tudo
• Markéét (10/5): Amazing - The hotels location was perfect - close to two subway stations, with grocery stores nearby and plenty of places to eat. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave us advice and assistance with everything, and we had no problem asking them anything. At the front desk, we were offered coffee or tea and there is a nice seating area where you can have breakfast and chat with the staff. The shower in our room wasn't working, but after we reported it to the front desk, it was fixed right away. The rooms are quite small with limited storage space, so it’s good to keep that in mind, but if you plan to spend your days exploring the city and just sleep in the room, it works perfectly fine.

L’hôtel est bien passé : à proximité de commodités et d’une bouche de métro. 35min à pieds de la cité interdite. Le personnel est vraiment au petit soin et parle très bien anglais. Il est possible de faire laver son linge gratuitement. Pas de petit-déjeuner sur place mais il y a de quoi faire aux alentours La chambre aurait besoin d’un coup de neuf et on entend facilement les gens de passage dans le couloir

Ti aiutano in tutto: dal prenotare i biglietti per le varie attrazioni ai tour al fornirti consigli e risolverti problemi. Cosa importantissima per noi italiani, hanno una macchinetta che distribuisce caffè gratuito a tutte le ore. Ottima la posizione. La camera, certo è un po' piccola, ma ci si va solo per dormire perché per il resto si vive Pechino!

Для отеляи2* или хостела, мы так и не поняли, уровень комнаты был очень приличным. Чисто, минимальные необходимые удобства все были. Местоположение супер. На 2 -3 дня, если только ночевать вполне пойдёт! Есть бесплатный чай, кофе на рецепшене, админ все объяснил что, где, куда. Если поеду один точно тут остановлюсь!! По навигатору искали 40 минут, а он был совсем не там, подсказали местные..., потом по геолокации такси легко нашло нас

Tutte le ragazze alla Receptionist parlano un ottimo Inglese (meglio del mio 😅), posizione centrale vicino alla fermata della metro Dongsi e comoda anche per muoversi a Piedi(per tutto il resto c’è Didi). Organizzano anche vari Tour in giornata, con loro ho avuto modo di visitare la grande muraglia Cinese.

• Esther (8/5): - Lo mejor del hotel es el personal de recepción, hablan inglés muy bien y te ayudan en todo. Tienen servicio de lavandería gratuito y la zona está muy bien ya que tienes todo lo que necesitas cerca. Los puntos principales a visitar están lejos pero en Pekín las distancias son enormes por lo que es normal. La cama es cómoda. Te dan agua gratuita todo el rato. El baño es bastante malo. La ducha está encima del wáter y se moja todo cada vez que te duchas. Tampoco hay espacio ninguno donde apoyar nada. La limpieza no era especialmente buena.

Un grand merci car même si l’hôtel est moyen, grâce à eux, c’était un bon séjour. 2-Nettoyage de nos affaires gratuit et rapide 3-Bouteilles d’eau fraîche à disposition tout le temps, thé et café également, glaçons à l’accueil 4-Pression de la douche forte et c’est appréciable après une longue journée de pouvoir se doucher correctement 5-Stations de métro à proximité Hôtel n’est pas le meilleur, un peu vétuste, chambre petite avec peu de rangement. J’avais un sac à dos donc suffisant mais si vous avez une grande valise, ça peut être compliqué. Nettoyage de la chambre était rapide. Il restait des cheveux (les miens donc moins grave) le soir, des traces autour du lavabo très facile à nettoyer (un coup d’éponge), un mouchoir qui traîne, lit partiellement fait. Rien de très grave cependant.

The thing that made our vacation special were actually the people working there. I have never met nicer and more helpful hotel staff. All of them, made sure we were having a great time an helped us with absolutely everything. The sweetest people possible. When I come back to Beijing this will be the place I would come back to for sure. Wang was extremely helpful

They always offered us water before we left, and when we returned, they always asked how the outing was and if we needed anything. They offer a tour to the Great Wall; we booked a day in advance and it was great, very convenient. The location is very good, near a metro station and a shopping mall, and close to restaurants, cafes, and bars. The hotel is a bit older than the photos on Booking appear.
• Torbjorn (10/5): Kina på tre dagar. - Fantastisk personal trevliga, kunniga, fanns inget som de inte hjälpte till med. Läget var perfekt nära till allt i centrum. Hotellets busstur till Kinesiska muren var en höjdare. Mycket välplanerad med sköna bussar och mycket god mat. Var lite fysiskt krävande men då kunde man lätt välja bort vissa delar, fanns gott om café och annat att koppla av på och bara njuta av stunden. Har du som vi hade bara tre nätter var det helt perfekt, du fick med så mycket på dessa tre dagar. Sist men inte minst hotellet har ett fungerande internett!

El café gratis y que pudieran lavar la ropa son cosas que siempre se agradece. La ducha no esta separada de la taza del baño, es todo un conjunto. Cuando te bañas, queda todo mojado y es muy difícil volver a ocuparlo. Para una persona sola puedo que no sea un problema, pero para 2 claramente es más complejo.
• Quokka (8/5): Good budget stay in central location - 1. The staff (reception and the cleaners) were all very friendly and helpful. At check in, i got a lot of information on the surrounding area and they also helped me book a reservation for Tianamen Square (it's free but you have to book to get in). On check out, they helped me with my luggage and with my Didi booking. 2. It was within walking distance of the metro (Dongsi station) and you could buy tasty street food on Longfusi Street which is just round the corner. A 7-11 was also in the area if you wanted to buy snacks etc at unsocial hours. 3. You could help yourself to tea and filtered water at reception. 4. The area felt very safe, even when i was going back late at night. 5. The Dyson hairdryer! 1. The VPN didn't really work for me and i had to use my Esim to access the websites that are blocked in China. 2. The sound proofing was quite bad and i could hear what my neighbours are saying in the corridor and in their rooms. Due to the central location, it was also quite noisy outside at times. 3. There was no separate area for the shower. It was in the middle of the room with the toilet and sink either side of it, which meant the entire bathroom floor would get wet whenever i have a shower. 4. The cleaners didn't give me clean mugs when they cleaned my room. 5. No fridge in the room.

• Elim17 (10/5): La mejor ubicación con la mejor atención - Lo mejor sin duda es el personal del hotel!!! La mejor atención al cliente que tuve en toda mi estancia en china. Con especial mención a Eva, una chica muy dulce y amable, nos ayudó con la reserva de la plaza tianamen, nos dio indicaciones para cualquier cosa que necesitaramos, siempre se preocupaba por qué tuviéramos agua, siempre estaban atentos. La excursión que tienen a la Gran muralla está genial. La ubicación es perfecta!!!! Que el baño esté en el mismo lugar que la ducha, pero esto es algo habitual en los hoteles en china para aprovechar el espacio, pero tampoco es el fin del mundo.

• Krasimira (10/5): Tolle Lage und perfekte Betreuung vom Personal - Eine tolle Lage, das Zimmer war für uns okay, jeden Tag wurde sauber gemacht und Tücher wurden gewechselt. Preis - Leistung war für uns in Ordnung. Ich möchte aber Lob an das Personal aussprechen - von der Buchung bis zur Abreise - tolle Betreuung. Sehr schnelle Kommunikation und man bekommt sehr wichtige und nützliche Informationen bevor man angekommen ist. Wir haben auch organisierte Reisen über das Hotel gebucht und ich kann das nur empfehlen. Das ganze Personal war stets da, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und mit vielen Tipps und Informationen. Danke an alle dort! Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

• Joanna (10/5): - Obsługa była absolutnie fantastyczna! Profesjonalna, przyjazna! Mumu jest aniołem! Pomocna, bardzo komunikatwyna ze swietnym angielskim. Świetna lokalizacja tuż obok metra Dongsi. Walking distance do Forbidden City. W łazience prysznic wisi tak, że zalewa wszystko. Łącznie z muszlą klozetowa. Nie ma osobnej kabiny tylko woda leje się na całą łazienko-toalete.

• Jelena (10/5): Wonderful time at Happy Dragon Hostel - We stayed at Happy Dragon Hostel for almost a week while visiting Beijing in March/April 2026 and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we ever had. The accomodation itself is simple, but well kept and clean. It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood close to an area of historical Hutongs and very well connected to the city centre and major attractions (e.g. a 20-30 min foot walk to Jingshan Hill). Bottled water as well as tea and coffee are offered for free every day, you can use the hotel's VPN for all your "western" apps and there is a free stamp collection at the lobby with beautiful sights of Beijing for everyone who wishes to commemorate their journey in this way. But what really makes this hotel extraordinary are the people working there. Seldom have we met hotel staff that is so kind, helpful and openly interested in building a connection with their guests. We chatted many times with the ladies working here and they helped us on multiple occasions - booking a day trip to the chinese wall, making a reservation for Tiananmen Square or giving great food recommendations in the quarter. We want to stay with Happy Dragon Hostel again the next time we travel to the fascinating city of Beijing in the future! Nothing
• Erika (10/5): Hotel je v historickom centre, lahko dostupny k staniciam metra a blizko nakupnej uličky - Veĺmi príjemní a milí personál, plynule anglicky hovoriaci, poradili kam sa ist pozriet aj ako sa tam dostat, čisté izby, všade poriadok, na recepcii kava a čaj k dispozícii, tiez ak chcete možete si dat oprat oblecenie. Toto vsetko v cene pobytu.
• Cris (7/5): Ok stay, for the price. - Super friendly staff and good location. Hotel is quite low budget, but for the price, you can't complain. Staff were very helpful and were happy to do your washing. After staying in some different hotels around China, this wasn't as luxurious as those. As I say, staff were amazing and I feel bad not leaving a 5* review. There was some loud noises coming from near my room. I think it was a washing machine, but sounded like it was broken as there were loud bangs.
