Ariel (6/5): - The check in/out process was very easy and straight forward. The motel was very quiet, which we really enjoyed. The room was clean, although the ceiling fan and bathroom fan need to be cleaned. The mattresses and pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The sheets were also old and in need of replacing (they were very thin, pilling, and had holes). The hot tub was broken. The restaurant on the property was okay, good coffee though. Unlikely to change, given that the property is now for sale. Overall it was a very basic accomodation.

Katherine (10/5): - I was here three nights as I was working in the area. The room was comfortable and spacious. The area is so quiet and relaxing. Be sure to read the various little signs posted around the room, because the owners have me and care to help make your stay comfortable and convenient. I particularly appreciated the organics container and recycling sorting bins in my room! I’m returning in a few weeks to wrap up my business in Magnetawan, and am about to book my stay here again.

We had tried all day to contact them but no one answered the phone. We drove all the way to the hotel but had to turn around and find another place to sleep. James (6/5): - Small quiet strip motel. The cafe is closed and up for sale so we had just a couple of options for food in the small town a few miles away. There was no staff on site that we saw. The TV is so small and takes two remotes to operate. There are two things that are not clear in the ad for this property. The pictures for the motel show a lake but it is not visible from the motel in the front or back that I could see. Also there is a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. I do commend the owners for their efforts to recycle and separate trash.
Broto (10/5): - The Quiet Bay Inn is actually very quiet and calm. The lake at the backyard is awesome. Also the property is very clean and tidy. Kidos to the cleaners who have kept it spotless. Even the microwave ovens, coffee mugs were squeaky clean. I like the way the rooms are designed: Car park at the front and lawn at the back and the lake at a distance. Also they did a good job by providing the menu of the nearest restaurants. We went to Tanner's on Saturday & Sunday (Oct 12 & 13 2024) evening for dinner and it was a great experience.
Steve (8/5): The Quiet of Quiet Bay Inn - Our stay was very good. The name Quiet Bay says it all, we never heard any outside noise, the beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Very handy to have the cafe right there as well. We will definitely stay there again.

Christine (4/5): - Their ad shows a pool, hot tub and pool table. The hot tub broke 2 years ago, the pool didnt open until the evening and didnt see a game room. Although they let us check in early which was nice. However it was very hot and a dip in the pool would have been nice too. The cafe was closed we went to dinner at Tanners...great food! Pool was open when we got back from dinner. Room was large and clean however very damp, sleeping was difficult due to dampness. Pillows were horrible! Large bathroom and good pressure in shower, bathroom does not have hair dryer. Grass was cut but nothing had been trimmed. The grass along the walkway outside our door was over a foot tall.
Adorlito (10/5): If you want a quiet and peaceful stay this is the place to be. - Location and price. Nothing actually but a complete facility wound be nice such as the canoe and boats for rent use would be a good sell for children’s as well but no complain at all since I brought my own inflatable.

Pool was open though it was a little chilly so I didn't use, the ggrounds are lovely with a nice area on the Bay . the room was quiet large, could use new mattresses but was like a step back to the old lodges and inns I eexpect in the north, Retro in a very good way, the kitchen was well equiped enough for basics, shower was great lots of big opening windows for airflow. No A/C that I could see (it went to 8C at nightt so with a cracked window i never noticed) We are already considering returning for a winter weekend . The Cafe makes a fantastic classic breakfast Hot Tub was closed, I would have used it actually

Aoife (4/5): Suggested updates - I recently stayed at Quite Bay Inn and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the late-night check-in was convenient, but unfortunately, the initial impression was marred by massive cobwebs and large spiders at the entrance to our room. Inside the room,the toilet was dirty, I noticed dust on the blinds, a ceiling fan thick with dust, and old cobwebs on the walls. The beds were the most disappointing aspect; they were hard, old spring mattresses that made noise with every movement. The pillows were filled with cushion filler, making them uncomfortable. The sheets were paper-thin, leading to an uncomfortable night's sleep. Another issue we encountered was the room temperature. On the first night, we were quite cold, even with additional blankets, because the thermostat was set and locked. It would have been more convenient for guests to have control over the thermostat to adjust the room temperature according to their comfort. Although we didn't use any of the other facilities, I believe that for a motel, Quite Bay Inn should invest in better quality beds and bedding to improve the overall comfort of their guests. With some updates and improvements, it could offer a more pleasant stay for travelers.

james george (6/5): - i had a 2 night stay at quiet bay inn and cafe. i never got hooked up to wifi to either my phone nor laptop. i was fine with that on monday july 17, 2023 as i had moved on in my travels. also i had no room key. i had to keep the door unlocked for the entire time i stayed there; from 8.00pm on saturday july 15, 2023 to about noon on monday july 17, 2023. after checking out i had breakfast in the quiet bay cafe. the food and service in the cafe was excellent but room service needed improvements as described above.

I had a noisy family in the room next to mine the second night but that can happen anywhere. An ice machine in the Office or an ice cube tray for the room would have been beneficial rather than having to drive up the road to a convenience store for ice. Dani (10/5): - We had Room 1, the very first one on the corner which has a fireplace, really quiet indeed, beds very comfy and room clean and warm, at checkin we just walked into the room and checkout was just as fast as we dropped the key into the checkout box. Price wise it was way overpriced (given that the restaurant wasn’t open, the hot tub wasn’t functional) but we booked around New Year (30st Dec - 2nd Jan) so expected to pay more than usual. The hosts were really lovely and responded swiftly to all our emails. All in all a good experience.

Darrenat (9/5): Beautiful location and room. A hidden gem on the way to wilderness. - This is a beautiful location and the inside of the room was very spacious. It had a kitchenette with burners, utensils, cookware, and a nice bathroom. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, and we had a dinning table. We ordered from the cafe/restaurant and the food was awesome for the price. Neighbouring rooms you can hear through the walls, but the other guests seem friendly.

Genevieve (5/5): Great location close to a few real gems. - The location is fabulous. The grounds were nice and well kept. The pool was very clean. The fridge worked well. I love that they promote recycling and composting. The kitchenette, appliances, and dishes etc were very nice to have. The bed was very springy, like springs in the mattress moving and making noise while trying to sleep. The beds need to be replaced, in my opinion.
