Guest Reviews
- Moe (8/5): It is a very cute hotel, friendly staff in a quite - It is a very cute hotel, friendly staff in a quite place. Their breakfast doesn't have many options (just eggs and fruits and toast). The road to lead to the hotel is quite tricky. A narrow road between grass that you drive for a good 10m. Nothing is around there.
The signs on each room are really creative.
But it is cheap and clean!
- Georg (2/5): Don‘t go! - The location on the map is fake. This place is not on the main road. It shows just the beginning of a 2km long road. Once all houses end, there is a bumpy road through fields with no lights. Close to the lake, the road was flooded for 20 meters (did not rain though). - If you come with a car (no tuktuk passes this dead end) or bring rubber boots, give it a try. Else there is tons of guest houses on the main road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A little off the beaten track to get to, but otherwise a fabulous hotel to stay at in Sigiriya. Staff and service were great. The rooms were a tad dated, but apart from that fantastic.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We absolutely loved the staff at Hotel Wewa Addara. We've never met friendlier people. They made our stay wonderful!
- Gary (6/5): - Location a bit of a hike from the main street of Sigiriya. Room was massive and up to standard but there had been birds in the loft and their droppings had stained the floor on the balcony. Food very overpriced and service was not great.
- Michael (10/5): Nice quiet peaceful location - Very Very quiet location it was nice to be away from traffic noise and pollution.
Staff was amazingly wonderful from check in to check out, they could not do enough for you.
View of the lake from the pool was great. Breakfast was good.
- Mpd (10/5): - It’s a hidden gem - we came very late at night so it was challenging to get to the hotel. But when we got there, we were awed by the natural beauty around us! The staff were all very nice. Room was huge and clean and very comfortable! Breakfast was simple - I’m happy with good coffee in the morning! A great place!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I think this is good hotel for backpacker and normal tourist, good service, good meals, and silent environment. It is a little bad bad shower, old and weak flushing.
- kav (10/5): Beautiful hotel - Exvelleny service, excellent room, good price. Loved our stay here
- Kyeongmin (8/5): Hard to Approach but Magnificent View - It was worth going there although it was tough to reach in the night.
Unpaved road and puddle was error but once you arrive, you will see the most great view both at night and in the morning.
Stars falling over the head, sun rising over the meadow, kind staffs who finally provided driver's accommodation when it was full.
If I had known that they serve dinner, we wouldn't have had dinner outside...!
Anyway, my parents were highly satisfied and we made one of the great memories there.
가기는 힘들어도, 막상 가면 인생 최고의 뷰를 보실 수 있을거예요.
시기리야랑 가까워서 다음날 아침에 편했습니다.
- Fiona (6/5): Quiet surroundings - Quiet surroundings in a pleasant location, about 1 km down a dirt road. The hotel has potential that it doesn't meet. Pool is absolutely freezing, not quite clean and with water that tastes not quite right. They have neglected to build a path to the pool so if you go bare foot it is over rough terrain.
The rooms are of a good size, but the air conditioner seemed to have a mind of its own. Rooms were reasonably clean, though simple things like wiping the soft drink that had been spilled over the wall near the front door would have made the rooms look better kept.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good hotel with lovely views over the lake. Pleasant restaurant and very helpful staff.
- Jen (8/5): Secluded hotel in a village by a lake - This is a very new hotel, a bit secluded and farther out from the main village. The road (or path) to the hotel is challenging. There's no lights so make sure to get there before dark. It is a very modern hotel with concrete stained floors and fixtures. Surprisingly there's a pool too, but we didn't use it due to rain. It's very peaceful and quiet. The staff is incredibly attentive and accommodating. The food was good but limited since there's only 2 set meals to chose from for dinner. Breakfast was good with fresh fruits, toasts, eggs etc. If you don't want to eat at the hotel, eat in town before going back to the hotel b/c there's no other places to eat since it's isolated and secluded. The view of nature is beautiful. We had 2 rooms and 1 room in the corner had many large windows of the lake and sunset. I made the mistake of keeping the balcony door open for fresh air during the rain and to watch the sunset and next thing you know the white walls of my room were covered with dozens of black bugs and lizards. So if you don't want bugs in your room, keep the lights off and windows and doors shut. The hotel did have super fast wifi...fastest compared to all the other hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. The water pressure was so-so. It's a 10 mins drive to Sigiriya rock. The drive to the hotel thru the farm lands was unique. We did feel like we were miles and miles away from home going to an exotic land.
- Oscar (8/5): Comfortable and Convenient Hotel in Sigirya - This is a wonderful hotel, right by Sigirya. The rooms were nice and comfortable. There are only 12 rooms, making this hotel one that caters to the individual needs of its guests. Our meals at the restaurant, especially, were customized to our liking. Each day we let the chef know what we wanted to eat for both breakfast and dinner the day after. The food was exceptional! The swimming pool was nice, too, and there were so many peacocks in the area. It was truly an enjoyable stay. I look forward to staying there again when I'm in Sri Lanka.
- Nikhel (8/5): Highly Customer focussed - Pros:
Prompt booking issues resolutions after escalation to owners; Peaceful location; Cleanliness; Rooms comfort; Staff services
Cons:
Location away from the main road and attractions; Not approachable without possessing a private vehicle; Limited food options; weak wifi connection; no recreation activity except a swimming pool
- SOMNATH (8/5): - Very nice hotel with pool by Sigiriya lake. It is about 1.5 km from Sigiriya main road, so fresh air but a bit secluded. Wifi was very poor (extremely slow). Dinner was ok but pricey. Breakfast was okay but serving was a bit slow. View from the balcony was great. Hotel staffs were nice and friendly.
- Barak (10/5): You must have ! - The hotel have a freat view its in the middle of rhe jungle. The breakfast was great with fresh fruits. Room are big and really comfortable. We really enjoy our stay here
- Barak (10/5): best hotel in sigirya - we really enjoy our stay here. in the middle of the jungle you have the best view and quit place. the food was great. room are big and so comfortable. everything was perfect.
- andy (10/5): Clean and tidy - Very nice new hotel with nice pool and setting by the lake. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was excellent. We had dinner there one night which was also very good if pricey. It is about 1.5km from main road so super quiet but a bit of a walk to other things. At night we were told to get a tuk tuk rather than wall because of elephants.
- Alex (10/5): Great new hotel in the Sigiriya area - A wonderful hotel overlooking a lake in a rural area. Even though it is a bit off the beaten path, I can strongly recommend it as a base for exploring Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonaruwa, the Minneriya National Park and surrounding areas. Management is very hospitable, friendly, and helpful with all practical matters or any issues, food is of great quality, and the somewhat secluded setting is poetic and breath-taking. Great value for the money, and a potential highlight of a trip to Sri Lanka.
