The people were next level especially the entertainment staff such as Rihanna, Diamond, Mari, Johnnie & other staff such as Steven & Luis. The concierge, Luis, was so helpful and communicated with us about each day’s activities & more! SO MUCH to do on site at Secrets Cap Cana, it made it more enjoyable!! Food was always great! Specifically, the chicken quesadillas & fish tacos from Seaside Grill. We also enjoyed the French, Mexican, & Seafood dining experiences as well! Each had wonderful service. The pool was very well kept & hardly super crowded! The solution master, as he calls himself, was helpful in chair finding & other assistive needs while poolside! The room was super clean & staff was on top of requests for cleaning as well as for room service! Spa experience was 10/10! Very relaxing and enjoyable on vacation! The staff from spa were very kind! The seaweed was disappointing but you could tell they were doing their best to manage it!

- barbk724 (10/5): Secrets Cap Cana is our Favorite - This was trip #14 for us at Secrets Cap Cana and we will be back. Of all the Secrets we have been to, this one is at the top of our list. It has something for everyone and you can do as much or little as you like. (Check out the Hyatt Inclusive Collection App for the daily activities and shows). We love the beach here because it is big and you don’t feel like you're on top of anyone, but the pools are great too. In fact, even when the resort is full you will be wondering where all the people are at because it never feels crowded like some of the other properties we have been to. We love all the restaurants and think this is the best food of all the Secrets resorts. But most importantly, the staff at this property always go above and beyond to make sure your stay is extra special and you want to return. Our Butler, Anibal, is the absolute best and always makes sure our every need is taken care of. Here are some of the others that take good care of us: Rosa, Melvin, Jose, Jesus, Franklin and Yogali at Oceana help us start the day with a mimosa and delicious breakfast and Dominican coffee; On the beach or at the pool, our cups are always full because of the servers: Marisol, Maria, Vanessa, Stephany, Yulasi, Xiomara, Patricia and Jackson and if you’re looking for lunch on the beach, Alexis can help you with your order or try the daily beach barbecue served by Rigoberto, Guido and Bienvenido; the bartenders at Manatees are a hoot and help keep it lively in the afternoons - Arial, Manuel, Sandy, Jose and Rowdey or if you’re hanging at the far end of the pool near Sugar Reef, Benito is your guy. One of our favorite restaurants is El Patio, where Gibel and Jesus take excellent care of us (I highly recommend the red snapper) and Omar at Portofino will make sure your dining experience is 5 stars. We’re not fans of the hibachi table at Himitsu (we’ve seen the show too many times) but prefer instead to order off the menu for al a carte dining. Carlos will bring you a sushi appetizer that is delicious. For nightlife we sometimes take in a show at the theater where Vincent and Bioti will help you with drinks, or you can’t go wrong visiting the lobby and watching Augustine and our friend Marlon craft some fancy cocktails and even smoky old fashions. If you like it a bit more chill, I recommend the Preferred Lounge for a nightcap with Francy, and remember to visit at least once during the day to try Javier’s famous Bloody Mary. And lastly, I have to give a shout out to the entertainment staff led by La Diva. This is the team that manages the daily and nightly activities for the resort and they do an excellent job making sure there is something for everyone. You can’t go wrong with Secrets Cap Cana but be advised, it’s always full so be sure to book early if you have a certain date in mind and maybe we’ll see you on one of our return trips.
- U5731JKchristianm (10/5): Heartfelt Thank You for a Phenomenal Stay! - My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Secrets Cap Cana for Christmas week (12/20/25 – 12/27/25). While I know every guest’s experience is unique, ours was nothing short of phenomenal from A to Z. From the moment we arrived, the resort embraced us with the scent of fresh, cold towels and a glass of sparkling rosé to cool us off. We chose the “Preferred” route for our stay, which allowed us to enjoy wonderful perks like private check-in and exclusive access to the resort's stunning restaurants and pools. The resort itself is breathtaking, with gorgeous pool views and a spacious, pristine beach. We were so impressed by how clean and seaweed-free the sand was— a true testament to the hard work of your wonderful groundskeepers. What truly elevates this resort to a 5-star level, however, is the gastronomy and, most importantly, the people. Whether we were craving Italian, Asian, French, Mexican, or a classic steakhouse meal, our tastebuds were delighted by every flavor. And for those of us with a sweet tooth, the café’s baked treats and ice cream were a daily joy. Yet, all these amenities would be nothing without the heart and soul of the resort: the staff. Where do I even begin with these wonderful, kindhearted people? They are truly amazing and take such visible pride in their work. They pay attention to every detail with a genuineness that is rare to find. Our butler, Jeison Calderon, was a massive part of our incredible stay. He checked in with us regularly and went above and beyond to assist with every inquiry, ensuring our vacation was completely worry-free. Cheers, Jeison! We also want to send a very big thank you to Carlos and Bienvenido from the breakfast staff at The Market and Rosewater. For lunch, we spent our days on the beach where we were cared for so beautifully by Beyonce, Angela, Willafer, Maria, and Xiomara. The "man of the hour" at the beach is undoubtedly Alexis; he made sure our food arrived perfectly and kept us refreshed with hand-cut coconuts. By only our second day, this amazing team already remembered exactly what we liked to eat and drink. At dinner, the staff made us feel like royalty. We are so grateful to the wait staff who made our evenings memorable: Juan, Miguel, and Eduardo at Oceana; Enoch, Chavez, and Don Omar at Portofino; Carlos (Piña) and Alberto at Himitsu; Felix at Bordeaux; and Kelly at The Patio. The daily beachside BBQ was another highlight, prepared by the grill master himself, Guido! Guido always ensured our plates were full of delicious BBQ, while Rigoberto, Jaime, and Hector made sure we were comfortable and pampered as we dined by the waves. The service was as impeccable as if we were in a formal dining room. In the lobby, bartenders Jery, Augustine, and Cheyenne are true master mixologists who served up incredible drinks with a smile. We also loved visiting Solange and Freisvert at Coco Cafe for their delicious milkshakes and pastry recommendations. Finally, Milagros and Juan at the pool were staples of hospitality, keeping us stocked with fresh towels and cold drinks all day long. Bravo, Secrets Cap Cana staff! The highlight was conceirge service by Francis, highly responsive and accommodative.. making reservations, organizing schedule and working with chefs to prep special dinners to suit our dietary needs (vegetarian dishes).. a call out to chef Julio for thoughtfully preparing every meal and checking in regularly.. Highly recommend the resort!!

Beautiful and well appointed room, the swim out pool was joyously relaxing, lunch at the beach each day was delicious. The service all around was exceptional! Philippe, our butler, checked in regularly, anticipated our needs, and was super responsive. The entire staff was friendly, energetic, and continuously checking in. Food was excellent - especially at Rosewater, the French Restaurant Oceana, and El Patio (margarita cart was the best!). Each day was filled with moments of “wow”.

Everyone is consistently happy and wants you to have the best trip. Angelo was our concierge and was very helpful. The food and drinks were unbelievable quality for an all inclusive. Despite being the resort being fully booked it never felt busy and we got reservations right away. The entertainment team made the trip. Oliver, Ice Cube, Rihanna, Lady No Gaga, and countless others created lasting memories we are so thankful for. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back for sure. The New Years party was one of the best I’ve ever been to.
- 867jill (10/5): Simply the Best - What a wonderful holiday - we have stayed in many lovely places but Secrets Cap Cana outshines them all! My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday and Christmas. We booked a preferred room which meant we could enjoy additional facilities and have our very own butler Jeison who was brilliant and arranged everything we asked for very quickly and efficiently. Every day he checked in with us to see if we needed anything and would be available all day long to give assistance or answer any questions. As a surprise on my birthday he had organised champagne and chocolates in the room and after our dinner in Portofino restaurant the staff sang happy birthday and brought me a very special dessert. It truly is a place to make lots of special memories. The gardens are beautiful and became magical in the evening with all the tasteful Christmas lights. All the staff were brilliant, there are so many I would like to mention but the ladies in the Coco Cafe were always smiling and so lovely, Daniella and Clarissa looked after us so well at Portofino and the Seaside Grill, also Nerissa at the pool and Marcelina who kept our room immaculate. We would like to thank everyone in the restaurants, in reception, at the pool and the entertainment team who all made our holiday so special. We will recommend your hotel to everyone we know.

Servers and bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Our private butler Matiel Reyes was so helpful. He took great care of every need we had, with a smile! - GYJoe1 (10/5): Excellente! - I heard Secrets Cap Cana is considered the brand's flagship and it shows. Our adult family of four spent 8 nights over Christmas break in Preferred Club (PC) rooms and would eagerly return. Yes, the Preferred upgrade was worth it -- "Gen Pop" sometimes felt Spring Breaky but Preferred was quieter overall, with a more relaxing pool & beach plus much better alcohol choices. Rooms, Resort and Beach were SPOTLESS, and staff was constantly cleaning. The resort itself is gorgeous with many 5* finishes, spectacular tropical landscaping and a gorgeous, swimmable beach. Rooms are very nice and cleaned twice daily (each morning plus a thorough turndown w/ towel refresh each evening). After our rooms, sheets & clothes felt "wet" on Day #2, we requested dehumidifiers which cured it quickly. As my college-aged kids said, the food is "just mid". Variety & availability are outstanding but food quality is good, not great -- more Outback than your favorite steakhouse. Of the specialty restaurants, Portifino (Italian) was our favorite, the sushi (NOT hibachi) side of Himitsu and El Patio (Mexican) were also very good. For lunch, the poolside Barfoot Grill (yes, intentionally misspelled) served excellent skewers and the Pallela from the grill on the beach was great. The staff was generally "EXCELLENTE". Our butler Miguel emailed us the daily itinerary every morning, checked in with us on the beach daily, arranged spa visits, and promptly & professionally handled everything we threw at him from reservations, requests & problems, too. With only two very grumpy exceptions (our head waiters at the Seaside steakhouse and Rosewater) the F&B staff was upbeat and eager to serve. Cocktails on the PC Beach are just a raised flag away. Several servers stand out (Richal & Alberto's "muy caliente" coffee at Rosewater, Juan Carlos & Eddy in Portofino, Angela on the beach) but this was overall one of the most welcoming & hard-working staffs I have ever encountered. Pro Tip: tip frequently -- tipping is not required but well-deserved and greatly appreciated. The Spa is serene and relaxing and has a hydrotherapy complex -- from sauna & steam, cold plunges & hot tub, and a pool loaded with jets for every part of your body. Your butler can offer a discounted multi-trip spa package, too. The nearby gym is a good size and well-equipped, too. The entertainment each evening was also strong, particularly the Queen tribute on Monday evenings. The musicians got the crowd engaged, singing every word and on its feet. The beach-based parties, especially the White Party, are fantastic. The lobby and adjacent bars are also very lively, entertaining and crowded each night -- well worth checking out. We are generally not drawn to All-Inclusive resorts but our family is eager to return to this property.

Although we wondered if resort would be too “honeymoonish” since Secrets resort, it was not at all. Plenty of adult families and friends clearly at the resort. Recommend doing preferred club. Worth every dollar and much better experience if you enjoy more quiet and higher level of service. Preferred club permits access to certain restaurants during the day, private pool and private beach area that are all delightful. Staff/Service – Beyond words. Anibal was our butler and he made the trip exceptional. Whatever we needed, whenever we needed it – he had it done for us within minutes. In many ways, Anibal is one of the main reasons we will return to the resort. Xiomara and Angela on the beach – whatever we needed, they were extraordinary. And sweetly, they always came to say hi to us around the resort and enjoyed speaking in Spanish to those in our family who know Spanish. Geraldo at the French restaurant was incredible, and David at the preferred lounge went out of his way to always have a cold seltzer ready for us! Food – We were thrilled with every meal, breakfast/lunch/dinner. Have never had such consistent 5 star meals day in and out anywhere. Seafood lovers heaven, but plenty for people who prefer non fish/seafood options. Chef will make you whatever you need if you have food requests. Presentation of the food stunning and generous portions. Housekeeping perfect. Room service – any time, perfect. Cleanliness/Grounds – Place is gorgeous, plush green and spread out but not too big. Immaculate everywhere and we are sticklers for that. Balinese Beds – If you can afford adding them to your trip, a must. The are on a foundation, very good space, includes table and chairs and a stocked cooler with charcuterie board and champagne, and 2 chaise lounges. Their staff set up every morning. Makes a huge different to staying on beach for longer periods of time, even through small rain periods. Spa – also gorgeous. We did a package that offered us 2 services per person. We did all massages and the massages were superb. Rosemarie, Yir were exceptional. Definitely go an hour early to enjoy the relaxation and hydrotherapy. One of the fanciest vacations we have taken and we travel quite a bit. And worth every penny. Just exceptional.

- T9765BPHappyT (8/5): Enjoyable stay but some cons - Overall an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Pros and cons to follow: Pros: 1. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The beach is stunning and the rooms are spacious. 2. Service is generally exceptional. All of the concierge, cooks, waiting staff and entertainment can’t do enough for you. They are a credit to the hotel all of them. 3. The drinks available inclusively are excellent. You can get cocktails made with premium spirits and they have a good selection of beers and wines available inclusively. 4. Sun loungers at the pool are good quality and very comfortable 5. Taxi prices to get around Punta Cana are very reasonable and you can book them through the concierge Cons 1. The restaurants. Unless you have paid for the preferred upgrades, there isn’t a great selection of restaurants for evening meals. You get the choice of 4 (Asian, French, Mexican and Italian) so if you are staying for a couple of weeks you get bored quick. I would personally prefer the buffet to be open for evening meals to provide some variety and break up the a la carte monotony. 2. The food generally is very rich and sweet. This wasn’t to my palate, however when I could use the buffet for lunch and breakfast you could put a meal together that wasn’t, but ordering from a la carte in the evenings it was a lot more difficult. 3. Beach sun loungers. On the non-preferred beach the sun loungers are very uncomfortable. No padding at all. 4. Post checkout situation. At previous secrets properties they have had no issue with us using the facilities and eating and drinking until our transfer arrived. However here they expect a hefty fee (we were quoted upwards of $100). It wouldn’t be an issue were it not an outlier for this brand in my experience. 5. I think overall the biggest issue is the two tier system of preferred and non-preferred. Preferred gets the full hotel. With the prices they charge for the regular rooms I don’t really think that’s fair. I understand a room or view upgrade but food and sun beds seems like real penny pinching.

Hotel room was great overlooking pool; cool air con when it was hot. Maid was very attentive and discrete turn down service every night. Food was excellent across buffet and all the restaurants we tried. Tops for us is always oceana surf and turf. Bars are super friendly and make some great cocktails high end ingredients. Augustina in the bar continues to bring life to evenings. As last time our concierge Barreto was attentive and helpful and no issue was too small to be solved quickly. He ensured we had some nice sparking wine in the room on Christmas Eve. Thanks to all the elves and helpers that made this Christmas one to remember. What we loved: - Very relaxing - we were on the preferred side and reserved a Bali bed on the beach. Both were quiet and peaceful, and food/drink service was great. I think if we'd wanted a more active vacation we would have needed to go off-resort, since there aren't tennis courts or similar on-resort options, but that wasn't what we wanted so we loved the relaxed, chill vibes. - Very clean/well-maintained - housekeeping was thorough and reliable, and throughout the resort we were impressed by how well-maintained the grounds were. - Our bungalow room was so spacious and comfortable! Plus the Le Labo products were really nice. - Hibachi dinner and the Mexican restaurant were our favorite meals. The breakfasts both at the buffet and at the restaurants were also standouts. What we didn't love (but nothing was a deal breaker!) -The hydrotherapy space at the spa was a little small, and two of the features were our of order while we were there. We still enjoyed it, just wanted a bit more out of it. - We had dinner at the Italian restaurant twice - once was good, the second time our meals were overcooked. It was extremely busy that night so we didn't bother sending it back, but I'm sure they would have corrected it! - We wished the buffet option was available at dinner time - there were a few days we were super tired and just wanted a quick meal and didn't feel like sitting down to eat. This would be a nice option to have, though again, not a deal breaker! Overall we had a really nice time and the staff was truly wonderful.

Beach was great, a little seaweedy but didn't deter us. Beware of the 90 minute timeshare/Hyatt points sign up. They get rude real quick and when you politely decline their offers. Other than that, we'd highly recommend and will be coming back.

The facilities are superb, with numerous restaurants. I have been greatly impressed by the food offerings, including T bone steaks, rib eye steaks and lobster. Wine is also good, with choice. Service is attentive, and friendly. The “preferred” area is best, and, in particular, quiet. The other area pools have loud music playing most of the day, but are still beautifully laid out and well maintained. Rooms in the preferred area, are of a very good standard, including a well stocked complimentary fridge, including premium bottles of spirits, crisps, and chocolates, all replenished daily. The bed is large, and extremely comfortable. This is an expensive resort, but the quality shows. Entertainment in the evenings is varied, with many tribute groups, including Queen, The Beatles, Beyoncé, etc. Overall a great holiday experience.

The resort itself was absolutely beautiful. What made our trip even better was our concierge Luis. He was so helpful and would sort out anything we asked for and would check in on us each day. My hubby arranged a romantic meal on the beach, but was not too keen on the menu as had mainly seafood on it. Luis went out of his way and sorted out the food from Himitsu, which was I think our favourite restaurant. All the restaurants were very good. Can’t find one fault with this hotel and have already booked for November 2026.

The pool is huge and has more active parts with activities going on and quieter sections closer to the ocean. Live entertainment at the pool was really nice. Plenty of bars all over the resort. The customer service here is like nothing I have ever experienced. The staff Is incredibly attentive, friendly, and eager to serve you. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We did not go the “preferred guest” route and we don’t feel like we missed out on anything. We were assigned a concierge named Cristian Who found us daily wherever we were on the resort to check in with us and see if we needed anything. We were able to secure a Palapa on the beach every morning and had chairs by the pool in the afternoon without any trouble. Live entertainment and food for theme nights on the poolside terrace in the evenings were really nice plus plenty of fun things going on in the main lobby in the evenings. My husband and I found it to be very relaxing. We had our two adult children with us who are in their early 20s who would have preferred more of a party scene. My only complaint was that I was underwhelmed by the quality of the food, but I feel like average food is to be expected with all-inclusive resorts.

My concierge, Israel Sanchez treated me like a family member and was very attentive. I didn't want for anything! He made sure I had the best birthday ever and I did! The room was very cold and the floor would get wet. We didn't think to turn it off to resolve the problem but the thermostat was fixed by our concierge and all was well. Our maid kept the room very clean. The area around the hotel was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! My first impression was joy because there was a banner on the door saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". Then when I opened the door and walked in I was pleasantly surprised. There was a bottle of champagne on ice, a bowl of fruit and a beautiful birthday cake. The mini refrigerator was fully stocked with water and beer. As well as a bottle of scotch and vodka. Our concierge opened the bottle of champagne and poured a glass for me. He gave us details on the activities that were available for us to do. I really liked the 24 hour service. The atmosphere was like one big party! Everybody was having a good time in the lobby, at the pool, everywhere! And everyone was nice. Like I said I didn't want for anything. I had everything I could imagine. I have already told people they have to go and experience it for themselves. For the reasons in this review. Everything was spotless to include the bathrooms indoors and outside!

Location was awesome as it was only 20 mins from the airport and Amstar made it so easy to get to. It was also comforting that this resort sits in a gated community making u feel safe even as u walk the beach. The staff ( especially Luis, our concierge) was truly exceptional. He was there when we needed him and went above and beyond ! The restaurants were also great with our favorite being the Japanese restaurant. They have a private beach so no one is bothering you. Our butler Carlos Javier, was THE BEST part of the trip. He was there when we needed him but not all over you. He arranged sweet gestures for our anniversary like breakfast delivered to the room, decorating our room and having champagne chilled for delivery to us (since we dont drink he had sparkling apple juice delivered instead). We felt safe and like we were with Family. Thank you, Carlos. Juan Carlos at the portofino, Carlos at the Seaside and Beyoncé at the Preferred beach made the trip AMAZING! We had coupons to do a couples massage and hydrotherapy. It was so relaxing. The weather was perfect and drinks delivered anytime. Definitely will be back.

- jeannicef2017 (8/5): My First All-Inclusive—With a Few Important Caveats - I traveled solo and had a wonderful experience overall—this was my first time at an all-inclusive, and I left with a strong impression of the service, comfort, and onsite energy. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. I also want to be transparent about value: my stay averaged about $1,000 per day. Which really didn’t think about until I spoke with the sales people onsite. Travel note: There was no direct flight from California (though some European routes appeared to be direct). I connected through *Atlanta with a short layover, and re-entry was quick—especially if you have Global Entry One important detail: upon re-entry, you still have to collect your baggage and re-drop it at the baggage transfer drop-off. Also, the ATL lounge is the best in the company even for a quick stop. It made my trip a bit more comfortable and helped reset between flights. Room & property: I stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was very spacious—ideal for 1–2 people. My room was an ocean view overlooking the pool, with a beautiful 180-degree view of the property. Waking up to that scenery was a highlight. Resort navigation & activities: You’ll want to use the resort app (or request a map and daily schedule to stay on top of onsite activities and to find the restaurants. Once I had that, it was easy to plan my days. I wanted to detox from using the phone and computer. Restaurants, food, and wine (candid and specific) There are several dining options—Japanese hibachi, seafood, steakhouse, French, Italian, and I believe one night there was also Mexican. I ate mostly at the seafood restaurant, and my biggest recommendation is this: make sure your food is cooked properly, not just to preferences. One night my octopus was served chewy and sticky. I sent it back, and they graciously returned it cooked properly, which I appreciated. The mahi-mahi was delicious and the lobster was well prepared, although portion sizes were inconsistent. The vegetables tended to be overcooked, but as a traveler I generally stick to cooked vegetables anyway. One pairing surprised me: mussels served with French fries. I didn’t understand the logic of the pairing, but the fries were delicious. From an overall experience and “guest flow” perspective, the separation between the Seafood restaurant and the **Grill** didn’t feel logical. Many dishes overlapped, yet staff made a point of saying they’d have to “ask the chef” if you wanted an item that was technically on the other menu. Once I learned both menus, I actually preferred the Grill menu more than the Seafood menu. It would be more efficient—and more enjoyable as a guest—if those two concepts were combined surf and turf’ so it doesn’t feel like you’re asking for something special. On beverages: I did have red wine with dinner even when I ate seafood. I wasn’t impressed with the **white wine selections**. I tried a few samples hoping to find a white that paired well with fish, but the options didn’t work for me. What I wish had been stronger is the local culinary experience. I would have loved more authentic Dominican and Caribbean food. A few local touches show up at breakfast (plantain, and the excellent fruits of the island), but overall the menus felt more “mainstream” than cultural—and for me, experiencing the culture was part of why I traveled. Service standouts: Several team members truly elevated the trip. Angelo (butler) was exceptional—professional, attentive, and consistently made sure I had what I needed. **Jorge** in Membership was helpful and welcoming. **Maribel** delivered outstanding service and made every interaction feel thoughtful and personal. In the spa, **Yasmin** was fantastic—calming, skilled, and exactly what I needed to fully relax. **Rihanna** in Entertainment brought great organization and energy. **Luis** on the night shift at **Coco’s Café** was kind, dependable, and a real comfort late in the evening. The entertainment team overall was personable and fun. **Luis** in the painting and jewelry-making activities is very talented, and the **pottery class** was also amazing. Language note (for non-native Spanish speakers): Spanish is not my first language, but I can speak a little conversationally. I tried to honor the local culture by using Spanish when I could, but I had a mixed experience—at the bar I was told to speak English, and later I felt I may have unintentionally upset Angela at Reception when I used a term of endearment as part of my attempt to speak Spanish. By day four I felt comfortable overall, but if you’re not fluent, you may want to keep your Spanish to simple basics—or just use English here to avoid misunderstandings. Arrival & departure logistics (Delta Vacations): Arrival was a little chaotic. You have to make your way to the exit door and look for the **Delta Vacations** reps in **blue shirts**, but it wasn’t immediately clear and felt disorganized in the moment. Departure, however, was on time and very structured: the pickup schedule is fixed, so you don’t really have flexibility to stay a bit longer. My checkout time was set and the car was already there—honestly, I somewhat appreciated the structure because I needed the time for the departure process. At the airport, I would not pay the extra express fee about $30)—at least during this season, I got through customs fairly efficiently without it. The biometric scanners worked well overall; there were a couple of small glitches where I had to reinsert my passport, but nothing major. A few downsides: What I didn’t care for was the separate beach areas for “preferred” membership. I understand a separate bar area, but separating sections of the beach felt unnecessary—especially at this price point. Hyatt vacation package presentation (important note): If you’re approached about attending the “~90 minute” presentation, be cautious. I was interested at first, but once I realized it wasn’t for me, it turned into a four-hour meeting and was a high waste of my day. The sales effort felt relentless—several times I reiterated that I could only do the 90 minutes, and before I knew it, I’d had breakfast and then met with **two separate sales teams**, even after I clearly stated it wouldn’t work for me. Booking note (Delta Vacations):I booked through Delta Vacations specifically to receive 100% MQDs as a Diamond Medallion Elite Plus member. However, the reservation process quoted one price and then increased it by $300 because I used money I had in my e-credit which is money that I paid. I’m not satisfied with that charge and have filed a complaint. Value of all-inclusive: I’d recommend the all-inclusive package if you enjoy eating and drinking throughout the day—it’s convenient and makes the experience feel seamless. If not you may want to rethink it. The beauty is you don’t have to leave the grounds. I would like to experience the Dominican experience. Not pole dancing. Tipping:Tips are not required or suggested; however, I tipped everyone who provided great service—including my butler—from restaurant servers to maid service to the spa and entertainment teams, because they earned it. Final note, no need to exchange US currency. Overall, despite a few frustrations, the staff and overall experience made this a memorable first all-inclusive trip.

- 333jaycep (10/5): Summary of my stay at Secrets Cap Cana - Me and my wife had an absolutely amazing stay at Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa. We stayed 9 nights 10 days and honestly wanted to stay even longer. The staff as a whole is amazing! The bartenders Manuel (Mr.OhYeah) always at manatees bar, Agustin always at the lobby bar, and Jery always at the lobby bar were all amazing. The entertainment team including leydy no Gaga, Adelin, Johnnie Walker, and Rhianna really stood out. Putting on constant activities that are all included and always keeping guests informed giving such a variety of things to do throughout the day. The food across the board was amazing! We ate all the restaurants on the property and hit a few of them twice. Never had a complaint the menus have a lot of options and everything we had was great. The property itself is beautiful with 3 large pools and a hot tub as well as a preferred club guest only pool. The beach the property offers was very large and beautiful. Here you can also reserve paddle boards, kayaks, and sale boats all included. We did all 3 and had a great time definitely recommend it had alot of fun. There are multiple bars around the property with many options for different cocktails. The lobby bar has a pool table. The theatre on the property also has 2 pool tables and a ping pong table. The theatre had nightly shows during our entire stay that changed theme every night. Everything about the resort was amazing and definitely will be coming back! To top it off our personal concierge Yafreisi was absolutely amazing making sure our needs were met the entire vacation. Helped us out a lot in every way and also set up a special anniversary and birthday celebration for me and my wife! Made our stay even better!

My wife and I are UVC members and I’d like to thank Andri (UVC personnel) who took care of us from check in to check out and in between. She was Awesome.. our concierge Julio went above and beyond for us and he really stood out and made our vacation an unforgettable experience!! There was a little misunderstanding between Julio and I which he rectified right away and both parties were clear!! Julio even surprised us with rose pedals in our room floor leading up to the bed and even in our soaking tub on the balcony which was filled and ready to get in.. Food overall was great, beach great.. everything just GREAT!!.. Just come here!!!! Standouts: Andri (UVC personnel like I mentioned) Julio ( concierge who was the BEST!!!!!!!!) Humberto (Service Manager, who put final touches on a great vacation) Chris brown (entertainment crew who we rode bike with through cap cana . Was beautiful!) Jerry & Austin (Lobby Bartenders who kept u entertained ALL NIGHT!! They were great!!!

The resort grounds are immaculately kept and beautiful. Our room was perfect. The beach was quiet and peaceful, the pool had great energy (pool volleyball is the best!), restaurants great, and the nightlife was just enough for us. However, the BIGGEST asset to this resort is the staff and the amazing service. We don't know what it is but Dominican people are some of the nicest, kindest, and friendly people we have ever met. Our concierge, Luis, made sure everything was to our liking and went way above and beyond our expectations. Whether it was making sure our room was stocked with water or arranging special treats for us, he was amazing. Miguel (my man!) instantly recognized us from our last trip and showed so much love. Steven at the pool made sure we were taken care of. Lady No Gaga was just as fun as ever! Jordi at the lobby bar was extraordinary! Additional shout outs to the following staff: Kerlin (check-in), Jose and Jordi (lobby bar), Angelito (El Patio server), Cesar (beach runner), Eliseo (Oceana server), Josniel, Yenny, and Junior (Spa), Eduardo (waiter), and Bienvenido (waiter). - Resort54867189690 (10/5): Amazing anniversary vacation! - What a great place to spend ten days in the Dominican sun! It was a pleasure to be “welcomed home” by Ricardo when we arrived and we really appreciated his warm and kind hospitality. Ricardo made sure to check in with us every day to see if we needed assistance with anything and was attentive to all details of our stay. He exemplified the entire resort’s atmosphere. We decided to stay in the Preferred Guest area of the resort despite some reviews saying it was not worth the money. We were so glad we did. Consider what you want out of your vacation. The Preferred area is quieter with a few more options throughout the resort. It’s a more attentive experience. Our room was always taken care of, I don’t know how many times they came in each day to restock, clean up, etc. The food and beverages were very good, plenty of options. The seafood options were our favorites, especially the scallops, shrimp, tuna and so on! The staff were very accommodating polite and fun to interact with. We sincerely enjoyed getting to know the servers as they worked to take such good care of us while we enjoyed our time in the warm sun. Bring plenty of tip money, they deserve it! The grounds crew was working hard to keep up with the seaweed which was appreciated. We tipped them for their efforts, too. Overall, a great 10 days spent in the DR.

The hospitality is unlike anywhere else we have been before. I highly recommend asking for Ronaldo as a concierge. He was amazing! For pool service, our favorite girls were Johani and Madelyn. They were the sweetest and provided top notch pool side service. We will miss them the most. Miguel was also great! We very much enjoyed interacting with him and he always made our day. While we did not book preferred, we did not feel like we missed out on much. The shows were a great addition and there was a lot to look forward to every single day. This is our new favorite travel destination and I can’t wait to be back. It truly is a family here and everybody is so friendly making you feel a sense of belonging! You are missing out if you don’t come!! 10/10

The food was delicious with a lot of options, we stayed at the beach area each day as the pool is very noisy with a lot of people shouting so if you want a quiet holiday this may not be the place for you. The entertainment was good but in the lobby it's very loud so if you want an early night it's not possible, we were in block 3 and could still hear a lot of shouting. The room smelt very damp and musty so I asked to change but that one smelt as well so a dehumidifier was placed in the room, didn't make a difference so clothes always felt damp. This should be addressed. However it's a great place and we will be back

The resort itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and located on a stunning stretch of beach that feels peaceful and upscale exactly what we were looking for in an adults only get away. The highlight of our entire stay was our concierge, Francis. Francis was absolutely exceptional, professional, attentive, and generally caring. From the moment we arrived, he made sure every detail of our stay was taken care of he was always available, quick to respond, and went out of his way to ensure we felt comfortable and well looked after. His level of service alone would make us return to this resort. Francis truly made our experience memorable. The service throughout the resort was excellent, and the beach and pool areas were pristine and never overcrowded. While the food was good, it did not quite reach the exceptional level of the rest of the experience. We would rate the dining overall around a 7 out of 10 - enjoyable, with some standout meals, but room for improvement compared to the resorts otherwise high standards. overall, Secrets Cap Cana delivers a beautiful, relaxing, luxury experience, and with team members like Francis, the service is outstanding. We would absolutely recommend this resort and would happily return.

I’ve stayed at Hyatt Zilara which is next door and both have their pros and cons. To me the food at Hyatt is better. At secrets my favorite was the seafood place(oceana). The sushi was really good at the hibachi place. The best sushi I’ve had at an all inclusive. The reason I would rank Zilara above secrets in food is cause the Buffett was better at Zilara. The service at both places are great. At secrets you get a concierge even if you are not preferred which I didn’t expect. They will send you the activities and everything you need to know for the day. If you have any questions they are more than willing to help. I had one mishap where I wanted to do the painting class. I asked my concierge and he said it was at the beach. I asked 2 other workers about it and they both said the beach. Come to find out it was at the pool and I was not able to attend and that was disappointing. The drinks at secrets are strong so be prepared when drinking all day! Room service was great. We got a late night snack a few times and it came if not hot, warm. Really appreciated that! The atmosphere here is pretty lively for an adult only place and I was surprised by that. Went to the pop show and Alicia keys show. Both were entertaining. The spa was fantastic. We got 2 massages each and did hydrotherapy everyday. Overall this place is great but I wouldn’t be back just cause I had a better experience at Hyatt Zilara.
- CurtisP865 (10/5): I would go back to Secrets Cap Cana - First time to DR, and first time choosing an all-inclusive resort. I truly felt like we made the right choice. Secrets Cap Cana was beautiful, well-maintained, and had great service. We splurged a bit and went with a preferred club level room with a swim out room. It was great because it gave us access to the whole resort including some bars and restaurants that are only for preferred club. It also comes with a butler which is like a personal concierge. Matiel Reyes was our person, and he was so nice and helpful. We certainly didn’t ask for much as we planned to just chill for the week. We weren’t doing any excursions etc, but he still hooked us up with some pool floats to use. He also made a point to check in with us every day in person wherever we were in the resort. The buffet breakfast and lunch was amazing. The other dinner locations were good, but nothing that blew us away. Loved the Coco Cafe being open all the time. It was like having a personal Starbucks.

This was our 4th visit, 14 days/13 nights (in 5 years) and our 31st anniversary! You will find many travelers with multiple visits (Jan, Brian, Sabrina, Russell, to name a few) and there is a reason why! Yes, the property is beautiful and your arrival makes you wish you never have to leave!! But it’s the people that welcome you here. They truly make you feel special and though they say you are family, they treat you better, lol. We purposely requested our butler from our previous visits, Carlos, and he never disappoints. If you have the pleasure of just meeting Carlos, he makes your visit and you feel special. There were many moments Carlos stood out and the ways he took such good care of us. It started before we even left home as Carlos stays in touch with us throughout the year. What more can I say about Carlos. Even butlers that are other guests care takers, check in on you (Anibel, Miguel, Pellier, to name a few). Secrets is very fortunate to have soo many amazing team members. Loved it so much I'm coming back over Spring break with my hubby and another couple. Our concierge Anibal was fantastic, he kept us up to date on events and activities happening that day and always came to say hello when walking around the resort. He made you feel well taken care of. This was a great experience!

Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were outstanding, and the property itself is beautiful and well maintained. The staff truly makes the experience — attentive, warm, and consistently going above and beyond. Dining exceeded our expectations, and everything felt polished and high-end from start to finish. One thing worth noting for future travelers: nightly entertainment is more limited compared to some larger all-inclusive resorts. Aside from the theater shows, evenings are generally quieter. That said, it fit the relaxed, upscale vibe of the resort and never took away from our experience. Also, the average guest age skewed a bit older (50+), so honeymooners or younger couples looking for a high-energy nightlife scene should keep that in mind. If you’re looking for a refined, laid-back, luxury adults-only experience, this resort absolutely delivers. We would definitely return and highly recommend it.
