• Joseph (7/5): Good for quick visit. - Good room and bed. Easy in and out. Large work truck outside my room made parking near the room challenging. No plastic drinking cups provided. Electric outlet in room was evidently tripped as it did not accept my simple 3 pronged computer cord. No luggage rack provided for suit case. Best rate on booking.com at $120 vs $155 on hotel site. I chose the $120 naturally.

• Linda (7/5): It was fairly comfortable for a one night stay. - The room was newly renovated and attractive. The bathroom and shower were beautiful. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The ac/heater worked well and was easy to operate. Not too noisy. It was near many stores and attractions. We were disappointed that, in spite of the name, White Caps, there was no view of the ocean. While there was a refrigerator, there was no microwave, coffee maker or ice machine available. We were not sure of the cleanliness of the toilet as there seemed to be an odor although it looked clean.

The place is under construction but judging by all the other renovations I see completed this place is going to be really nice. Already the nicest rooms in the area. The pillows on the bed were terrible.

• Betty (8/5): Quiet clean food value and good location in Ventura - Quiet, good value, good location. Recent remodel done well..kinda has 60s vibe with pink mini refrigerator and teal sofa. The outside lighting, while providing security lighting, was so bright that the room itself didn't get dark. With the remodel, the towels needed to be upgraded- towels were too skimpy.

• LI (1/5): Not worth it and please try other places - Nothing Nothing facilitates at all! Still being renovated, found a curling hair inside the “clean” sheet. Not worth it at all. Also found a big spider in the restroom. At night, you can hear clear and load from the street, and cannot fall into sleep.

• Susan (10/5): - The staff was very kind. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel is undergoing renovation so the exterior isn't at all perfect, but the stay was wonderful for what we needed. And the price was right. We will be staying again...probably soon.

• Raymond (6/5): - I checked in just after 3pm, it took almost 15 mins to check in. I was given room 201 right next to the main road, even though there was only a few guests staying at the motel. I then found an additional charge of $88 on my card, which was immediately refunded. This was on top of the $100 for additional charges, which I hope is also removed. The room is definitely not sound proof as heard traffic all night…

No Water available, no cups in room, no coffee, toilet seat was loose, trash outside room was overflowing.

• David (8/5): - Nice old school motel for the price. Rooms are small with limited amenities, but they have been updated recently and are pretty nice. The exterior is currently undergoing renovation, but noise and disruption were minimal. Staffing seems a bit limited, so daily maid service for multi-day stays isn’t a thing here. Overall, I’d say it’s a good value for the price. I’d stay at the White Caps again.
• Jessica (10/5): - This hotel is definitely a gem! I will be staying here anytime I have to be in the Santa Barbara or Ventura area. The new owners have made the rooms so cute. They are fully remodeled. They’re so polite and it was a very enjoyable stay.
• Suzanne (8/5): - What I didn’t like was that there were no cups or glasses in the room and no coffeemaker. I had to ask the front desk for a cup and I received one flimsy plastic cup. I then asked to point me to the ice machine and drink dispenser. There was none on the property. I asked for a bottled water and management wanted to charge me a dollar and was rude that I was making requests. I also was a late check in due to traveling. The property and room were lovely and clean and quiet, though they were doing some exterior improvements. I would stay there again, knowing to plan ahead and provide my own water and coffee.
• Luis (6/5): - Just enough room for two travelers for 1-2 nights. Rooms are tiny. Room was clean, although the small love seat in room had some questionable stains. TV remote was broken, toilet paper holder fell off the wall, mini fridge is on the floor, tucked in a corner, difficult to use. Bathroom was nice. Looks like rooms have been recently remodeled. Not a terrible place, but I won't stay there again.

• Suzanne (8/5): - There are not a lot of hotel options around area that are expensive for what I wanted. A place to stay in Ventura. I booked because the reviews were so good. When I pulled up I thought ai had made a big mistake. Not a bad neighborhood, just not what I am used to. Checked in, and owner was very attentive and helpful. Appears to be family owned. Room was a typical old time strip room hotel, but it had been fully renovated. Really cute and well appointed. Cute decor and it looked like a decorator had put the little touches together. TV was new and huge. Bathroom was very clean. It had lots of different finishes, but all new, like random lots of construction tile were bought, but they were all nice. (Shower tile one type/color, floor another, countertop another, etc. slept like a baby, and didn’t hear any noise. A/C worked well. A great stay and would come back again.

• Rene (10/5): - This is a little gem, a very nice fully updated motor court retro feel motel. The rooms are very nicely done, they are small but efficiently appointed and attractive. The bathroom shower is deluxe and huge with lovely tile work. It is very well situated, central ro Ventura and very walkable. I will definitely return!

• kerrilynn (6/5): - The property is under construction. At 6am the water pipes started making screeching noises. Luckily we were only there 1 night. Beds are very firm, but pillows are super soft. Probably wouldn’t stay here again until after construction
• ROGER (8/5): - Quiet, unassuming strip hotel on Thompson. They are in the midst of a hotel remodel, so could be construction noise. Our room was nicely remodeled. No drinking cups, so hard to take meds. Inexpensive.
